A really good aquatic and fitness complex with 5 pools for every level, from 9 months up to 90 years. Very clean and lots of support staff to ensure everyone is water safe. It also has a sport and fitness area and a cafe (both of which I didn't use). It's not free but well worth the entry price, check their website for prices. We'll be going back again.

My kids LOVE playing at this pool! The small warm pool is great for them to practice their swimmimg skills in and the paddling/play pool is awesome! A great place to get your kids used to the water before they start swimming lessons, or to practice thier skills.

Wonderful centre with every type of community sports facilities like gym, pools, bball, physio and more they even have child care to look after the little ones while you exercise. There is Spa Sauna and Indoor and Outdoor pools with a fun children's area indoors including play equipment and a water slide.

Check out these amenities. Poorly tend to. Lack of cabs services and verýyyyyyy dark car park. Hard for uber and 13 cabs to find. Poor signage at night to exit compound. Dirty and disgustng toilet plus poor designs. Very very noisy with kids have no respect in lap pools s pool splashing, diving and screaming around despite signage warnings.

Does get super busy on weekends, then your stuck to pretty much standing in the free play area unless you want to swim laps. Otherwise, friendly staff and facilities are clean!

We brought our son to this pool today for the first time and I was quite impressed. The layout is good and lifeguards are constantly looking attentively at the swimmers. There are boards and other bits an pieces available for the kids to play with and a great playground with lots of water and a slide. The changerooms are spacious and there are even a few family change rooms with showers inside.

The swimming pool area is quite spacious, including both indoor and outdoor pools. There is an aquatic playground areas for small kids and juniors. The facilities are kept clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Apart from swimming, there are gyms, soccer halls, cafeteria and many more.

I played basketball there and saw the swimming pool looked great and nice. However, the basketball court ceiling were leaking which made the floor very slippery and two of us were injured because of this leaking issue. If there was no leaking, I probably would have given a 5 stars.

Top quality rec centre. Facilities are clean and tidy and the staff are always friendly. We use the gym, pool and stadium here and its always and easy process and plenty of equipment so you never miss out.

It is a great facility for locals. There is a gym, two swimming pool (one heated), basketball court and one can attend group yoga etc classes. Improvements can certainly be made. Staff seem friendly although can be more accountable. The membership is not too expensive.

A first Class facility where staff are extremely professional, pleasant and helpful and the facilities are excellent. I have frequented the pool and gym on numerous occasions as it has developed over the past 25 years and have always found all the facilities including the change rooms clean and well maintained. Even in these difficult times every effort is made to allow visitors to appreciate all the complex has to offer while, at the same time, doing everything possible to ensure their health and welfare. Congratulations to the management and staff for offering the pubic of all ages a magnificent venue in which to enjoy a wide range of recreational pursuits.

Decent well looked after facilities. Just seem as if the place is getting too crowded. Centre is overbooking lanes and making only 2 lanes available to the public at 8pm in the evening which is ridiculous. Lane information on webpage is also incorrect at times. Website published as 7 swim lanes available however only 3 available when I went.

Compared to other public pools I have been to, facilities are outdated. Change rooms are relatively clean, cafe is okay. Good swimming lessons. Nothing wrong with them, but once your child gets older (10+), males start to dominate classes and girls are left feeling lonely and left out. Pricey if your not a member.

Great swimming spot with plenty of room in the aqua play lanes of the 25 meter pool. Great kids play area and a cafe for after. The change rooms are the cleanest that I have been to in a public pool. Lifeguards were friendly and very attentive. One issue we have is the temperature of the indoor 25m pool and the children's slide pool is too cool for recreational play with small children. The family change rooms were a disappointment after the quality of the female change rooms (family change with only one very small bench, no shelves and two bag hooks and a shower that wets pretty much the whole space).

Indoor and outdoor pools are good and temperature controlled makes it easy for winter months. Gym is maintained well and has great group activities and excellent personal trainers. Overall a great place for a workout or an easy family fun day at the pool.

Love this place, i go there regularly for gym, swim and spa. The gym has good set of equipment and they conduct various group sessions daily. The indoor hydrotherapy and outdoor pool is excellent all year. My kids love the kids pool area which has water slide and seesaw to play.

I often go to the gym and pool to try and keep fit. It’s working. After a work out it’s time for lunch (that just happens to work out that way) and at this time of year I’m partial to a bowl of soup. The soup on offer this day was vegetable and barley with toast. From ordering to serving was only a few minutes and was piping hot. And served to the table. Another favourite soup was the red vegetable soup. This was a little tangy but very enjoyable. Again it was served with toast and within a few minutes of ordering to the table. I have had quite a few different soups here and all have been to my satisfaction. I would recommend the soup to all soup lovers.

Fantastic suburban pool with two heated 25-m pools - one inside, one outside. Lots of lanes for swimmers and enough space for water play. Not the greatest amount of shade outside, but enough for most. Inside there's a small spa, a water pay area with a bucket that splashes down and a twisty, but slow, slide for fun. Smaller wading pools for the toddlers. The cafe isn't the best - quite a limited range, although we came rather late, so most hot food was gone already. Plenty of lifeguards. Great pool. Slightly above-average prices.

Ashburton Pool & Recreation Centre is a great little pool away from main roads and therefore probably not as well known as other pools. The best part of this pool is the heated outdoor pool , which clearly stands out from others and makes it much more comfortable especially with kids. The carpark looks large enough, however we were not there at peak times. The pools and pool area appeared clean and reasonably well kept. Overall I would recommend Ashburton Pool & Recreation Centre for a dip and a play.

I think this place is brand new as all the facilities are fantastic. Only drawback is the cost, $17.50 for a casual fitness class is really ridiculous, your basically forced into taking a membership if you want to come here. I already pay for an external gym membership and wanted to join a mate once a week for 1 class only, but the pricetag turned me away.

My family and I frequent the aquatic facilities. Indoor and outdoor pools available with varying temperatures. Lots of off-road parking available. I find most of the lap pools and kids pool on the cold side - I tend to take my baby into the hydrotherapy pool. Spa and sauna available (entry at additional cost). Family change rooms available (including fold down change table, shower, toilet and a bench in each room). My three year old loves the indoor kids pool play area; it features a bucket dumping water from on high and a small enclosed water slide.

Great facility, great people, it is a little pricy if it was just a gym, but it is so much more. The group classes you can take in one day, would coast you a $100 dollar's easy. I enjoy spending a hole day there sometimes. The gym could use a little more air-conditioning but I would say that about every gym.

Last night I visited Ashburton Pool & Recreation Centre. I love all four of the pools, and they all provide a unique and different experience; for example, the warm indoor pool is conducive to relaxation and the indoor playground is great for aqua play! I can still enjoy a waterslide at age 21 haha. Additionally, there are also great gym facilities, basketball courts and group exercise rooms. Thanks to all the workers including the lifeguards and receptionists who work hard to make Ashburton Pool what it is.

This place is a hive of people getting busy fit, swimmming for enjoyment or fitness. Did my first body attack, Adrenalin & boxing class and gosh, yiyiyi challenging which i rate a 10/10. They have an abundance of other classes overload and I recommend old and young to give this place a whirl, honestly the feeling I get here is friendly/warm/riveting&uplifting ! Oh and also there own cafe !

Great place but just needs more air conditioning in the basketball stadium as it becomes really humid on a warm day and the indoor pool being so close to it. Although the scoreboard on Court 2 is broken as the time jumps around and makes it difficult when timing games and has a damn leak even when not raining. But still good courts.

Have been numerous times and the slide is not working (kids pool no water running in the slide, told by staff not working after I had already paid and was inside the swimming area) this has happened quite often and given the price of admission this is really not good enough, especially during school holidays. As a 1 off sure these things happen but as stated it has been numerous times. Please fix. This is now the 3rd week in a row that the water slide is not working!
