Have to say considering location were not sure what to expect, but the food was all fantastic and fresh, brought out quickly, drinks were super quick too. No complaints at all from our table if 6. Only criticism was paying at the counter at the front was annoying, prefer if wait staff could take the bill and money away, process it and bring it back than stand in a long line waiting to pay. Will be back though, great venue.

Great little pub for a meal or to stop by for a few cold drinks with friends. The service was great especially for a large group as we had 30 people yet all the meals we served at the same time and no ones meal came out late or were missed or miss ordered. Was great to relax without the over crowding you get with some similar places. Looking forward to going again next time.

Had the seniors meal. Garlic bread was amazing, and a big serving. Comes with a glass of wine and a main of your choice. I’m very full and happy.

Met at the entrance to the venue for the inspection of our double Vax and I'd. .Good start in my opinion. Service was spot on. Menus was a little lacking but Ok. Two of our party ordered the parma and be prepared to be very hungry if you have this, it was massive. Seniors meals were good value and all in all a pleasant lunch with good service and nice food.

The meal was OK, although a bit on the bland side. However the background music was too loud. You could hardly hear your meal companion. We complained to the waiting staff but they had no authority to turn the music down. The pair next to us mentioned that they had made several complains in the past.

Don't be fooled at times you will sit in the bistro wondering is this place good to eat at there aren't many people in here ,let me tell you the food has never failed us and we've been there countless times the service second to none always attended to well spoken staff I can't recommend it highly enough.

One of my favourite places to go. We go for a bar meal! Mega parma and a miny parma then off to the gaming room. I must say of all the places I go for tea and play the pokies the staff here are truly the best! Love them all! Thumbs up 👍👍 from me!

Cardinia Club is now our new local since moving to the area a month ago. Very clean, well presented venue. Park in the carpark around the back and enter through the back entrance, sign in and away you go whether it's catching up with mates or a sit down dinner and drinks this place has it all. Great outdoor area for dining and drinks too. Sports bar and pokies. Hats off to the great friendly staff. The meals are great portions especially their range of top notch parmas. Keep up the great work everyone..

The new renovations made the place feel much warmer and inviting and with a more open and modern feel, the staff were all very well presented and polite, the food was cooked to perfection but was lacking in taste, the chicken parma was lacking in paste and ham, the fish tasted more like eating the batter, the chips and salad were great.

It's a Pakenham 4-star. Ok pub food (best in Pakenham, low bar there though). Terrific service (staff were so nice they must be hiding something) and a fun playground for small kids.

That is the old racecourse hotel ,it is just as GOOD as ever

Had Lunch at the Club on Sat. Booked a table for 4. Rocked up @ 12.40 & the place was 90% full. Queued up to order our meals. All Staff Members were very friendly and flexible. i take my hat off to the Chefs and kitchen staff as the servings were huge. The soup alone was a meal in its self & . not to forget the on-trays were fantastic as well. With a large capacity of people waiting for their meals to be served at roughly the same time, I once again congratulate the Chef and all those involved in this area. As expected there was a little bit of a wait, but, most importantly, the meals were absolutely delicious. The only slight blemish was that the butter was melted before it was dished out. This Club must have all the right people involved, from the Manager down to the dishwasher. Bravo! Would not hesitate to go back.

We had Seniors lunch.Meatloaf and vegetables with homemade Gravy. Was Delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing was dessert, we had bread and butter pudding and it was bland,no taste. Could have done with some Nutmeg to add flavor, but it was fresh.Good sized meals. Much better than it was a couple of years ago. Would encourage people to try out the meals. Has a bar, bingo in other part and has a sports bar,area which is lovely also. A few months ago we gave this place a scathing review. We were personally called by the manager that apologised and gave us a voucher to return and give them another go. I'm glad to say tonight's meal was fast and tasty and nothing like the horror served the previous outing. The steak sandwich was huge and well cooked, got the tick of approval from my teenage son. The trump steaks were cooked perfectly! The peppercorn sauce was rather bland but I like mine pretty spicy, so excused. The Rack of Lamb and risotto was large and tasty. No complaints here. The servers were cheerful and friendly. Again thanks the the manager Tanya for going the extra mile and making things right. I would rate this at 4.5 stars.

The club is a TAB/Poker machine venue with a dining area, members lounge and an outdoor beer garden.Adjacent to Dining area is kiddies play area. Meals are of good variety and of a good standard.Bar meals are served to the TAB area. Ample parking and wheelchair access.

Comfortable seating, bruschetta entree nice, but the fish seemed like a frozen pattie and the calamari was huge, rubbery and gross. Also they didn’t give tartare sauce with the three people who ordered fish and chips and seafood basket. Entrees came out quickly but the mains took awhile, and they left the dirty entree plates on our table for about 45 minutes until the mains were coming. The mains came out and we had to ask for cutlery as they didn’t bother to replace what they took, and we never got any napkins. The staff were fairly attentive except when they got a drink order wrong and we politely told them, the lady was really defensive about it and blamed us. When I ordered a standard cocktail from the menu the waiter looked puzzled then said they ‘should’ be able to make that one. Upon leaving we saw the specials board and noticed our waitress only told us half the specials and I would have had one of the ones she didn’t mention if I knew about it. Also when ordering, I asked the waitress twice how big the entree and main side of calamari were and she just kept saying there’s a big size difference. I kept indicating with my hands how big are they but she only said entree is too small for me. In fact it would have been fine. There were also some other instances of staff not knowing what was in something etc, and not bothering to find out just saying I don’t know. Average food, staff ok but need some training in product knowledge and customer service.

The Chicken & Mushroom Risotto is delicious! I normally don't get Risotto when I am out because it can be very hit & miss but I have yet to get one at the Cardi Club that is less then awesome. Yummy!

My sister and I ordered lunch here and we both enjoyed our meals. My Parma was big and juicy and the lamb cutlets had a really nice gravy. Prices seemed about typical for a pub/bistro. It was relatively quiet on a weekday afternoon, and I was given the impression that they shut the kitchen around 2pm or something (perhaps until reopening for dinner) so be aware of that. They also have a nice outdoor, covered seating area with lounges, with several heaters to keep it bearable through winter. Here are the bistro opening hours as of Aug 2016: Monday to Wednesday – Lunch 12pm to 2pm, Dinner 6pm to 8.30pm Thursday – Lunch 12pm to 2:30pm, Dinner 5:30pm to 8.30pm Friday – All Day 12pm to 9pm Saturday – Breakfast 8am to 11.30am & Bistro 12pm to 9pm Sunday – Breakfast 8am to 11.30am & Bistro 12pm to 8.30pm (Check website to confirm latest times.)
