Comments of Easey's
A. S.
Very good ambience and a unique design for a restaurant. Loved the food here too and the burgers are a must try for me. The wings were great too, if you love buffalo sauce. However they don't have a cafe that does hot drinks, nevertheless a good place to dine.
T. S.
The decor is definitely unique and a trip down memory lane. The ambiance on the ground floor is somewhat strange although there's music in the background there's an awkward silence or soft whispers while you eat
The food has flavours, however, it's worth a penny and not value in size. There are a few other items on their menu that's worth visiting again to try.
Bookings seems to be essential, but it doesn't seem to guarantee the rooftop if you wanted seating above ground. The establishment is small and busy we didn't know it was required until we got there and was almost turned away like a few other patron after us - we're not locals so that would've been disappointing if this is a common issue
We came without a reservation, the staff member was not so hospitable when we advised that we didn't have a booking, but manage to set a table for us - it must be tiresome to keep having to turn customers away, the service has opportunity to improve

A very unique dinning experience which was very enjoyable. I remember riding the Hitachi Trains along the Frankston line for years. Sitting in the carriage while eating my enormous Double Chicken Sandwich with Potato Gems brought back wonderful memories. Definitely worth a visit.
C. M.
My son has been begging us to come here for months, and I should say, I was definitely not disappointed. The ambience- or my son would say, "the vibes"- is tough to beat. The food was quite good, however, nothing that I haven't tasted before. I'd say it is definitely a place everyone should experience at least once.

What a treat in Melbourne city! Quirky train on a roof! The atmosphere was great, staff very friendly and food was excellent! Best gluten free bun I've had in a very long time! Would visit again.
M. K.
The concept of this restaurant is so fun!
My son was happy to have food in the old tram!
Hamburger is good as well.
N. B.
One of my fave dining experiences in Melbourne is sitting in the train carriage over locking Melbs. The food is tasty and fresh, and doesn't take long to be served. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Great place to go for burgs and hotdogs.
J. T.
As a southsider, it was great to finally make my way north and see where the magic started (and I note that I love that we have an Easeys southside local).
Burgers were beyond delicious and location is exactly what you expect it to be. Enjoyed a couple of cocktail pitchers and an afternoon with friends. Just look at the pics of the burgers - this is EXACTLY what you envision when you picture a smashburger. Well played, friends.
L. H.
I am absolutely in love with this place! The food is absolutely amazing, burger are to die for the Mac and cheese really hit different. The cocktail jug I ordered was so so so nice but a little bit on the pricier side. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the train and the atmosphere was outstanding. Staff are super friendly. Really wanted to order dessert, however we spent a good 20 mins trying to get the staffs attention due to him being very occupied with a large group of people who had just walked in, so not his fault at all. The music is also so mad. One of my favourite eateries. BOOKINGS ARE DEFINITELY ESSENTIAL THOUGH!
S. R.
Bloody Melbourne was on point, best Mac n cheese this side.of the Pacific
.could fault the food or service. Get your burger fix here!
D. R.
One of the best cheeseburgers I ever had hands down. Not even mentioning the fact that I was consuming it in a train cart on top of a Collingwood roof. Thank you Melbourne
J. N.
A massive shout and thank you for you amazing kindness to my Grandson Chris. Autistic Non verbal JD took the time to converse with Chris and then showed him the greatest kindness by paying for Chris and his Support Workers meal. This was so unexpected and had us all reeling at such profound kindness. People support this amazing venue. Thank you
C. A.
Loved it. The food was really yummy too. Be prepared for the walk up the stairs if you wanna sit in the train on the roof of the building. It's worth it tho!
p.
Great burgers and fries in a unique dining area very much recommended!
l. s.
Went to easey's with my girlfriend for our anniversary and they made it amazing for the both of us. the food was amazing and came quickly, music was on point, table was a little sticky but honestly didn't matter becouse the staff were so nice and the atmosphere was beautiful.
A. C.
After some American style diner burgers, dogs, or fries?
This is the place to have it! Bonus amazing views of Collingwood and the city. We were seated between the trains, but that didn't detract from the experience.
We got cheeseburgers and Mac&cheese fries. The cheeseburger is dripping with melting cheese and placed on a soft bun, the fries are crisp and the Mac and cheese is filling.
G. G.
Would definitely come back. The staff was so great and excellent service. The food was served fast. We didn't need to wait. There was a problem with the ordering but didn't matter since we are very happy with the service overall and how the waitress was very kind. Did a birthday party with my friends and they treat us nicely. Highly recommend for a party or where to eat. Food was good btw and as well with the drinks. Like the cheese burger and mac & cheese. Had the best view also specially on night time.
G. D.
What an incredible venue!! The decor/whole theme is awesome, and the food/drink/staff make it even better. Can't believe this was the first time I've been, will definitely be back!!
J. L.
Great burgers in a unique setting in train carriages parked on the roof of a multi storey building
C. S.
I've had a lot of good burgers in Melbourne but none live up to Easey's. It sets a whole new benchmark on the perfect burger and will always be the place I'll bring newcomers to Melbourne. The Mac and Cheese is another level too. Eat here, you will not regret it.
M. B.
Damn these are some fine burgers! Pictured is the Louisiana fried chicken sandwich triple and a frozen margarita. Cool joint with the train carriage on the roof.
T. F. T.
Do you like trains? Do you like delicious burgers, fries, hotdogs and shakes? Being we are streetwise travellers we like to explore different venues in each place we visit has to offer. We booked online a month in advance at unique burger joint with three train carriages perched on the edge of the building, four storeys up.
We arrived 20 minutes early because in past experiences we found out that finding parking on a Saturday afternoon in Collingwood is not an easy feat. We were lucky enough to find a spot on the main strip close to easey street.
The first thing you notice when walking down easey street are the three train carriages on the roof of a building. It draws you in giving you that feeling there is something very special about this building.
The three train carriages are Hitachi M-Class motor carriages weighting 27 ton each. Entering Easey’s Burgers you notice the tables and chairs are the seats used inside the trains including a graffiti theme throughout.
We recommend if you are after a unique burger experience then Easey’s Burgers in Collingwood must be on your to do list!

Been here a couple of times over past 3 / 4 years. The location / decor speak for themselves and are well worth a trip. Today had the double bacon BBQ burger. Really tasty and literally melted on the tongue. $22 with fries - I reckon this is really good value!!!
A. N.
I've always loved the vibes of Easeys, and tell people it's one of the most Melbourne places ever. I recently went with a group of 11 but the train area up the roof was closed but massive thank you to JD who was an awesome person overall and made eating there fun. He even gave us free donuts as a way of saying sorry for the roof being closed.
h. p.
Metro train themed restaurant. Good choice of cocktails and amerixan style food. Bookings essential. And there is climb of 4 storey and lifts are for only staff use.
Service is very quick.
Z. M.
Great place, loved it every time I've been. Staff are friendly, food is fantastic (especially their Mac & Cheese) and place has a nice vibe. Have been there three times already and will continue to go back.
If you want to guarantee a place in the trains consider booking ahead, as can get quite busy at peak times.
W. T.
Pleased with the experience at Easey’s. The staff were friendly and happy to recommend a few things on the menu when asked for input. We sat at the train rooftop area, probably the best place to stay rather than the seating on the ground floor.
M. G.
Place is unique yes but the Melbourne attitude starts the second you walk in quizzing you as to whether you have a booking (we did) before they think to say hello. This is when the place was lucky to be 1/3 full mid week in school holidays mind you.
A cool venue given the reincarnation of retro Melbourne trains yes but that annoying hipster dragged out attitude is tiring and old news especially in covid.
Food is TINY. It's ridiculous how thin a hamburger patty can be especially for the money. The taste is like any fast food drive through in the States which is fine when its 50% cheaper but not at that price. Understanding costs are different between markets this is still not on. Even the bun is tiny.
Plenty of good burger places with more honest serving sizes for the money. Look at the train from the outside and keep looking for an alternate hamburger shop.
c. j.
Delicious food, great staff, funky location where you dine literally in a TRAM ... mounted to the top floor !
R. S.
quality place to eat, looking out the window of the train was a great sight to see, best food i’ve esteem on a train
S.
Very cool restaurant on a train. The burgers are yums. I wouldn’t say it is the best but it’s good food at a great location. So I really don’t know how to not give it the stars it deserve. The only thing is that tons of reviews were raving bout the mac and cheese but mine was rather was cold and lumpy. So a star deducted for that.
Still a must visit I would say. It is an interesting experience.
B. H.
Really enjoyed this experience. You can tell the owner really cares about the final product they’re putting out. I thought the burger would leave me feeling a bit heavy, but it didn’t! The in-train experience was really nice, very relaxed. I will 100% be going back again. Great afternoon.
Here comes the but… Easey's apparently not that easy to get into. Unfortunately, we HAD to make a booking regardless of the restaurant being empty, we did it on the spot on our phones. Something tells me this particular waiter was at the end of his shift on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn’t anything personal. Won’t let it cloud the experience.
F. M.
Brought my in laws here as a surprise, they were visiting from interstate and managed to get them all the way up without knowing where they were going. They loved it. Burgers were delicous as was cheese and gravy chips. Service was excellent and they were busy. Very friendly. Highly recommended.
A. L.
Easey's has become our go to burger joint. My favourite burger is the Oklahoma fried onion burger, double smashed patties, double cheese and onions. Such simple ingredients but boy is it satisfying. If you trek up 4 flights of stairs you can sit inside an old tram that's been converted into a dining area. Service is great and friendly, do note there are seating times in the tram but if you go over you can continue eating in a separate area.
T.
Got some take away burger and hot chips from here. The burgers ranged from chicken burgers to burgers w bacon and beef and of course a hit doggie.
Everything was really good, the chips were fresh, the burgers filling and so tasty.
I'd be happy to go back and sit in one of the train carriages on the roof now that we can eat out at venues again.
Definitely worth a visit.
L. L.
Dine on the train on the rooftop! It's great that you can book here too. The service is very friendly and the burgers and mac and cheese are one of my favourites. Such a cool Melbourne vibe on the rooftop train, perfect place to take people who aren't from Melbourne as well as a great local burger place
R.
We ordered a double cheeseburger and a dim sims. After making the payment, I changed my mind and wanted to exchange it for a regular chips. I asked the staff, "Can you change my order?" The staff were very friendly and changed the order without changing the amount. The food was quick and excellent and very fresh. We will definitely be back there 🥰
R.
We had a great experience. Great service, tasty food and premises was clean.
I would highly recommend the oklahoma fried onion cheese burger and Louisiana fried chicken sandwhich
T. D.
I honestly don't understand the bad reviews of this place. I've been coming here for a long time, both dine in and takeaway/at-home kits and it's been awesome every damn time. Great food, good vibes, the people complaining about not getting to dine in the trains and other trivial issues need to get a grip, especially those choosing to leave nasty reviews during one of the toughest times for hospitality. Will continue to over eat at Easeys forever!
M. D.
Just ate here with my family! Wow what a great little find! Thank you Tik Tok!
VERY reasonably priced! We had the cheeseburger, chips and Mac and cheese.
Burgers were on the smaller size. However, very tasty! Mac n Cheese was very plain- but perfect for the kiddos. Chips were great!
Service was great, food was great, music not so great- but this is the “vibe” would like to see it a little less explicit.
Highly recommend this joint!
R. T.
Easily the best burgers in Melbourne. The food is incredible and the experience even better. I live in Sydney now but every time I come to Melbourne I make sure I come to Easeys. The staff are friendly and helpful and I recommend this place to every one who visits Melbourne. Drooling now just thinking of the burgers.
C. L.
The meal was exquisite and the times I enjoyed with 'the boys' was Devine. The staff were polite as were the meal sizes. Only quarry, is that some of the burgers should have had a larger portion of pickles. This place reminds me of the time my friend and I carriage jumped down at Richmond station, and went home and cooked burgers in his microwave (cheese, apple and tomato sauce). This was second to that glorious time.
R. U.
Their burger was delicious, honestly they weren't something special. Price was little bit highy compare to ther burger shop. However, their customer service is amazing. Overall it was nice.
P. G.
Nice place to go, delicious meat burgers and sides. However, there's only single option for vegetarians (no fish option too). Also it was cooked on the same pan with other meat dishes causing my partner stomach problems.
B. A.
Main reason to come here is because of the setting: old trains or an outdoor rooftop. Very vintage and relaxed vibe.
Food is good. I’ve definitely had better burgers, especially for the price, but the burger was still good. I was annoyed that they were out of both milk shakes and mac and cheese bites though.
Service is a bit below average. Our server seemed like she didn’t want to be there.
D. F.
It’s been a while since I’ve had Easeys and when I chose to visit recently I wondered, ‘but will be as good as I remember?’ especially given the challenges affecting restaurants during this apocalypse. BUT as soon as I bit into that familiar buttery, super soft, cheesy, beefy delicious REALNESS I realised I was a fool for ever doubting it! As per my last visit my only regret was that I don’t have more stomach space, the entire menu is mouth watering. I also love that oddly for a burger joint, it feels good to eat, I never get that sick takeaway greasy feeling after, you can smash a burger, some Mac and cheese and still be smiling an hour later. They did seem to be a little light on staff but supringsly the service was speedy and friendly as usual. Big ups to these guys for keeping their doors open and still crushing it in the kitchen just so we can enjoy this slice of burger heaven. Thanks team 🙌
W. Y.
Awesome place and cool to be sitting upstairs in the old trams with an awesome view.
Gluten free and vegan options available which aren't just one single thing.
Decent price for what you get and good taste and flavour which is not usually expected when a place is super instagramable/novelty.
I don't even care about walking up all those stairs cuz I'm gonna pig out when I get to the top
J. D.
If you like hearty American style food in a cool restaurant with a decent view, the Easey's is for you. Limited vegetarian selection but still okay. Some views are just of buildings so if you want a good view book in advance.
O. H.
The locals say the Mac and cheese here is the best around, and they are NOT WRONG. Burgers are tasty and the atmosphere is very cool. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you literally eat in A train carriage on the roof of a building. *Warning* Explicit music is played throughout the building. Also chips were nice.
N. H.
Delicious burgers and generally great vibes! The train carriages were full, so we only got a table downstairs. However, it was still a great time, and we will definitely be back to check out the upstairs too!
O. W.
Such a unique experience. This burger and beer joint sits 5 stories above Collingwood's Easey Street where you get to sit in one of 3 of the late Hitachi Melbourne trains that have been placed on the rooftop. Great food. Friendly staff. Suitable for for all types of gatherings. Reasonable prices. Highly recommended for the experience, view and food.
W. T. S. C.
Very cool concept burger joint with the train carriages upstairs and the graffiti walls. The service is very friendly and fast, the burgers are good yet not amazing. Cool place to visit, enjoy the atmosphere and the unique upstairs experience.
A. S.
Amazing burger place and great atmosphere! Awesome selection of burgers and comfort food like Mac and cheese, wings etc. Good beer and wine selection and you get to dine in train carriages on the roof if you want for something cool. Worth a visit for the burgers alone
L. B.
Apart from the fact that we had to annoyingly had to be a split bill (not individual cost) and the fact that staff were helping each other to beers so we had to wait, it was a wonderful experience up in the Hitachi train. Liked the graffiti theme, the food (+vegetarian Harvest). Wouldn't agree with the website's claim that it is child friendly - people were a bit drunk. Near Victoria Park Station 👍
H. M.
I came here on the weekend with a group of friends. I have fructose intolerance, so it's always a bit tricky eating out. I ordered my burger without onion, but when it came it had onion. When I told the waitress she was so embarrassed. I said "it happens all the time, don't worry" she said "not at Easeys it doesn't".
Within 2 minutes, they had brought me a frozen margarita on the house to drink while I waited. Burger was so hot and delicious when it came, then also took the burger off the bill.
Best service ever!
M. D. C.
Straight up one of the best burgers here in Melbourne.
L. T.
Our son had been wanting to come here for quite some time. It was his 13th birthday so we decided to try this place. The staff were wonderful, the food was amazing!, 2 x Louisiana chicken sandwiches, 1 x Rowdy double cheese burger, chilli fries, blue thick shake and pineapple cocktail. All Amazing!!! they accommodated my wife as she was on a no carb diet with chicken breasts which she said were yum! and to top it off they provided all 5 of us with donuts as it was our sons birthday at no charge. Cant speak highly enough of this establishment. Will certainly be back. Thank you to the staff at Easey's for making our sons special day a wonderful experience.
A. C.
Great atmosphere, aesthetic, and friendly staff. Food came out quick too with a nice selection and variety. The only downside was when I went there the lift was broken, so had to climb the stairs to level 4.
L.
I have lived here 7years and never been. We wandered in without a booking and were lucky enough to gain a spot upstairs with a view. We ordered burgers and gooey fries. My gf burger was delicious! We giggled as I leaned on the button in the graffiti covered lift to get back down. It was 3 flights up, my legs were a little tired 🤣, but so worth it. Go and experience it yourself, but perhaps reserve a table to avoid disappiontment.
D. O.
Go here for the novelty of dining in a decked out Melbourne train, must book ahead. The venue is very cool. You start off by walking up 4 flights of stairs covered in graffiti tags, the smell of burgers gets stronger and more intents as you go higher. Finally you reach the dining area. Its small, but it works. Quite comfortable with a bar and both indoor and outdoor seating. Burgers are priced between $11 to $23 with sides and drinks for extra. Expect to spend about $30 for a sit down meal.
Food was average, nothing to rave about.
Service was attentive on a Wednesday night.
J. D. (.
Great date night, staff are so friendly, service is super fast and food delicious. Definitely fell in love with the potato cakes
N. K.
Staff were amazing and very accommodating, I ordered the rowdy burger which was so good, doesn’t look big but very filling.
Awesome music playing too!!
P. E.
Very interesting place! A must visit if you are in Melbourne. We were lucky we got in without booking so must book! Affordable price and nice food.
D. S.
I stumbled across this place when parking the car on a Saturday summer evening to go to the Melba Spiegeltent. Looked up and saw 3 Melbourne trains mounted on the roof of a building. I went online to find more about the place and found there was a restaurant at the bottom and top. With my son's birthday coming up, it was a must visit.
The website was great, particularly easy on my smartphone, so I made a booking. It says you can only book for one hour, but we were there a little longer so there can't have been another booking after us.
We arrived a little early and the lovely J'aime was a welcoming host, told me where to go and to meet the staff upstairs. We all climbed the stairs that are graffiti covered to the top. When you're almost at the top carriage, there is a little break out space with three tables and chairs in an outside area, enclosed in. Nice.
Few more steps and we are in a good old Melbourne train. There is quite a bit of history on how these carriages ended up here but that's for another time. We were greeted by Nisha who led us to our table. Comfortable for 4 but there was 6 so a little tight but of course, you're not going to stay long so it was okay.
The views aren't too bad. You can open some of the top windows to let in some fresh air which was nice as the sun had heated up the space.
The menu is American style fast food and there wasn't an inch of broccoli or beans to be seen. This is truly a fast food place to eat and it doesn't pretend to be anything else.
We started with some buffalo chicken wings and tots which are actually what we call potato gems. They came with some little sauces in plastic containers one of which smelt odd, so we just dipped in the aioli.
We ordered burgers which were....good but nothing outstanding. Those that ate the hot dog said it was okay but nothing spectacular. When the food arrives it's served on enamel plates and the burger is wrapped up in paper. That's it. The size of the burgers was good and the taste okay. There was a lot of bun and most of us just left either the top or bottom of the bun aside.
Drinks were good but a lot of ice.
Toilets are available upstairs and certainly covered in graffiti. They are clean. There is an elevator for anyone in a wheelchair or needing assistance. Kid-friendly, in fact, there were 5 kids rocking out with their burgers on the next table. Parking out the front can be hard but a little further down the road it was better and 2 or 4 hours.
The music was probably inappropriate for kids around plus loud. No doubt perfect for the evening crowd but less so for the daytime crowd.
Finally, the staff were lovely. Happy, smiling, helpful and patient. Nothing was too much trouble. That always makes the dining experience better. So big should out to J'aime, Luka, Zoe and Nisha.
This is a place you feel you need to tick off your list, and you should.
S. L.
Really enjoyed out dinner here! The view from the carriage is lovely, food was great and service was fast.
The decor was amazing and I loved the novelty.
K. J.
Eating in an actual urban train car is worth the visit alone, but the food was excellent too. This is a legit burger bar. I recommend the Louisiana Chicken Sandwich. I'll be back for sure.
J. B.
Great burgers in a funky setting. Sit either outside or inside the trains for the best experience. Large range of burgers including two for the vegetarian. Just don't come if you're expecting to have something other then a burger as the sides menu probably wouldn't be suitable for non burger people.
M. V.
I recently came here for a birthday dinner and it was a great experience. We ate upstairs in the train carriage & my vegetarian rosti burger was amazing. You can choose from single, double or triple burger patties,
I also tried the vegan snack pack with jackfruit and tots (potato gems) and that was really good too.
It’s really easy to get parking around here, as it’s not near the Main Street.
There was a 20% public holiday surcharge, so it ended up being pretty expensive.
S. T.
Burgers were quite good (rest of food was average), but the staff, location and ambience was quite nice. Would recommend
I. F.
very unique place to grab some great burgers. the setup was very cool- but seats inside the actual trains seem to fill up quick, so we were caught on the tracks and had to sit outside between the two carriages! wasn't the worst but just not as cool as inside the carriage. food was pretty good, I had the chicken burger which wasn't to greasy which was nice. filled up pretty quick.
j.
Hadn’t been here in a few years - last time I came I remember there being different flavoured donuts (a blue heaven one specifically). A bit disappointed to see a limited dessert menu for such a cool place - nevertheless we had the ice cream sandwich which was vegan and the hot jam donuts. Both were pretty good! I was intrigued that the top part of the ice-cream sandwich is actually ice cream, it looks like cookie!
Hope to return here to grab a burger and sit in the rooftop tram, I forgot what the burgers are like so I look forward to it
c. f.
Pretty good burgers and chips.
Service was fast.
Interesting train design and good views.
R. D.
The food was fine, nothing special but what you would expect. Unfortunately we did not think to book (mid week for lunch) so had to sit outside the train carriage (!)) - don't make that mistake- make sure you book - otherwise it's like eating in a lane outside the restaurant you wanted to go to, and, when the food is just ok, and you're really there for the train carriage dinning experience, it lessens the experience somewhat.
J. C.
Amazing southern chicken burger.
But the American BBQ one was even better!
Funky spot. Quirky setting. Good beer and amazing burgers. What's not to love!?🤷♂️
Went mid week and relatively early so no problem for service. Can see how you'd need to book in advance if you want peak time dinner.
K. S.
My order was initially incorrect and these guys went so above and beyond to ensure I got the right thing and then some.
Really appreciate the effort and kudos to the staff for providing such a good experience in what was an honest mistake.
Thanks 👍
i.
burgers & hotdogs are great, mac n cheese is unreal but the view from the train carriage topped with the brilliant service from the staff is what makes this place extra special 💘
L. G.
I came across this place because of a page on Instagram. I'm an Aussie living in America so I though this looked like a cool place to visit on my trip home. It has a cool vibe to it and all staff are really friendly!! There are 4 levels - ground floor is a small bar set up, level 1 function room, 2 & 3 staff only? And 4th floor is the train carriages.
First of all, we arrive a little before 6pm on a Thursday night and the young lady serving is was friendly and helpful. If you want to sit in the train carriages, you need to book or you aren't guaranteed to be able to get a table, any night of the week. We booked about a week in advance. The food service was prompt and we got our meals quickly. They only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is because once this place got busier, the young girl was slammed and the only time she came back to the table was to tell us they needed our table for another reservation which is fine because I understand the reservation is only for an hour. But we got one round of drinks and she never came back. I could have also gone up to the bar.
The food was really great. I had a cheeseburger and I added a potato cake and bacon and then had chips and gravy as a side. The burger was juicy and the potato cake was delicious. We also ordered the dim sims. They are a batter not a skin as such so just a FYI, the texture is a little different.
Over all, this place was great. Cocktail was good, food was good, and had a nice view!!
Y. C.
A cool place to have a simple meal. I call a BBQ Cheese Burger with Banana Milk Shake. It taste good. A good place to chill and enjoy the unique setting of the traditional train carriage.
R. w.
Awsome venue Loved the ol Hitachi trains and burgers were best I've had in a whilez and great service also highly recommend the bloody Melbourne 👍👍👌
J. C.
Delicious hamburgers and good atmosphere/friendly staffs. A place for friends to hang out. Better make a reservation before visiting because the spots are limited.
M. B.
Great view from the rooftop train though they shut it down pretty early on a weeknight but keep the pretty standard looking bar downstairs open. Weird. Food was solid and came out quickly and they sell beer which is always appreciated. Good to go to say you’ve been.
S. E.
We came for the novelty of the train on the roof. Food is reasonably priced and tasty. Outside seating plagued by pigeons. Seating inside the train, you need to have booking on weekends. The lift is very slow.
B. K.
Exceed my expectations. I knew the views were going to be great but I though the food would be just ok. Food was better than the views.
G. M.
Very friendly staff and excellent food.
Residents of New Caledonia, during our vacation in Melbourne in August 2018 we went to Easey's, the person who was at the counter was very helpful and even made us visit the place, all the staff were friendly and helpful and the hamburgers a pure Delight, in addition to the original place this place is really to do.
E. G.
This place is so fun and had great tunes!! It's actually nice to walk through the staircase and see all the graffiti and the people who have left their mark. You can take the lift too, but it is a little slow and you get confused as to whether you're moving or not. But it definitely has a novelty vibe to it and a place you should check out at least once
T. B.
Great burgers and amazing atmosphere. Very creative and fun experience having the old trains as part of the restaurant upstairs. Can get busy so be sure you make a booking
M. M.
Delicious food, super cheesy mac'n'cheese, crunchy tots, and the burger... So good! Service was quick though they left my milkshake in the lift...
B. C.
Everything was delicious and the staff were wonderfully friendly and attentive. Definitely the best meal I've had on top of a building in a train. Would ride again.
H. R.
Eating burgers in a train car in the sky is a very unique experience. The staff were very friendly and the burgers were great. Their menu is reasonably priced and offers a good variety of options. Our meal came quickly. Make sure to book ahead if you want a table in the train car, as space is pretty limited!
K. P.
Amazing Experience. Loved the unique vibe, the food was quick and well done and the customer service was really good too.
A. S. (. f.
My local burger joint for many months. Loved the people, the location / setting, the food and usually had a decent beer line up. Custom building burgers is always a plus, too!
Y. A.
Amazing vegetarian burgers and patties. Some of the best I've had in Melbourne. Really friendly staff as well!
C. H.
Great burgers and friendly helpful staff. Only oddity was that our group was separated into 2 parts of the restaurant.
m. c.
Food was really good but drink service was slow. We ordered meals and drinks at the same time and the meal came before our drinks. Maybe just not enough servers that day, who knows, but I would go back. Cool location and great views from the train carriage.
J. H.
I like this design a lot. Using the train to make a restaurant which is awesome! And definetly recommend just climb the floor, the painting also very nice. Food was ok.. Personally I dont really enjoy it. Toliet is opening which is a little bit disgusting. Would really hope they could have better food. I love the decoration a lot.
D. M.
Very cool Melburnian experience. Service is very friendly and the burgers are pretty good.
It would just be good if they could put the AC on when it’s hot outside as the carriage gets even warmer. Other than that it was quite good.
F. “. I.
I tried a lot of burgers here in Australia and no one can compete with those ones. Really good I recommend it 100%.
S. A.
Fun, Quirky place to eat!
Can sit in decommissioned trams on top of the building.
Food is good. I would take all my interstate friends here for the cool experience.
I would go here more for the views and tram experience, not so much for the food.
T. T.
A whole heap of fun 5 storeys up. Three old Melbourne train carriages perched on a roof in Collingwood. Good food (burger fare) and good service. Usual burger boutique prices for both food and alcohol.
M. F.
Best burger I’ve ever had! Great service and even better food!
P. M.
Really cool spot. It’s not often you get to eat a burger on a train without getting filthy looks. And it’s even less often that your train is on the FRICKEN ROOF of a building. Definitely worth a visit. Food and drink selections are very good too.
F. C.
Service and atmosphere were great, really nice decor and graffiti. Dining up in the train cabin was cool, but the walk up 4 flights of stairs took my breath away. 😂
The food was decent, had the Easey Cheesy with added mac n cheese, couldn't really feel the presence of it though. The mac n cheese with tots were alright, and the chilli beef fries weren't really to my liking.
J. T.
Cool place. Enjoyed great view at the Rooftop. Food was good. I had Louisianna Fried Chicken Sandwich and fries.
J. D.
Really juicy burgers and a cool tram vibe going. Nicer to sit at the upstairs inside of the tram area but also outside is nice on a sunny day!
B. s.
Had a great time here. Food was great and it’s a unique experience eating inside a ‘train car’
:)
F. M.
Very cool concept restaurant and bar. It features old retired Melbourne train cars in which all the tables are located. A bit of an American cuisine inspired menu with a great selection of burgers and shakes on the menu. Cool graffiti on the walls with some good tunes playing. Might feel a little claustrophobic when it gets busy.
R. O. D.
Great place to eat, drink, etc. The staff are friendly and great. I have filmed a few videos here in the past. Definitely worth it.
D. V. K.
Beer & Burger O'clock... Amazing burgers and thanks to friendly staff we were able to nab the Drivers Booth.
X. P.
Great food and fun to eat dinner in an old train carriage. Book to avoid having to sit downstairs like a peasant. Cocktail jug can easily be downed by two people
V. L. A.
This place is like a tourist destination in Melby! The concept is really amazing and unique. The first floor seems to be so basic and usual but take the lift and go to the highest floor and will take you to a train coach. Literally. On top of the building. Amazing!!! Their wait staff are really friendly. There is not much on their menu - burgers and hotdogs mainly but hey, they are absolutely delicious. The place is very instagram-worthy!
A. A.
We ordered two chicken burgers sans bacon, they were tasty but one of them had bacon thankfully the gentleman behind the counter was understanding enough to provide us with a refund immediately. Good customer service.
K. N.
Relaxed and trendy restaurant. Good food.. Good views. Fast service and really friendly waiters. Impressive overall
F. L.
My first time coming here and I have to say the food was fantastic. The cocktails were amazing and so was the atmosphere. And a big shout out to Kane and Justin for their great customer service.
B. B.
Blew my mind after word of mouth reviews, it lives up to the hype. A real hidden Gem in the heart of Collingwood. Never had an experience like it.
Special thanks to Justin & Kane for their terrific hospitality, 5 stars boys!
S. P.
One of the best burgers I've ever had. Moist yet crisp bacon and not in the slightest bit greasy. Great dim sims and potato cakes.
S.
Great food, fast friendly service and most of all a unique dining experience. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
$$
E. F.
Chic burger joint befitting of the area that surrounds it. Had a double cheeseburger and it was definitely one of the better burgers I've had. Cheese and patty were grilled to my satisfaction and a good bite of perfectly portioned bun, cheese and meat sends you to burger heaven momentarily. Took a star away for the price point - could do with fairer pricing imo.
M. T.
The burgers at Easeys are elite! Highly recommend the Mac n Cheese fries AND the Oklahoma fried onion burger 🤤 so damn tasty. Defs need to bring the elastic pants for this one 👌🏼
C. B. K. L.
Nice vibe. You should try Mac French Fries- special dish there.
J. B.
A great casual place to eat.
Climbing the stairs or take the elevator.
The burgers available in single, double and triple are worth it!
N. T.
Great food, friendly staff 😄 would certainly recommend this place. Only negative I’d say was the bowl for the chips seemed to be peeling a little at the bottom
M. Z.
The burger is just normal if compared to other Melbourne burger store but view is great
J. S.
Not just a gimmick, great unique atmosphere but worth visiting for the burgers
L. S.
The meals are all American inspired and a classic burger and chips tasted delicious. The service was very attentive and friendly. The Tram windows also provided a nice view of the city skyline. Overall a unique and enjoyable experience.
M. R.
As good as advertised. Looking forward to them adding a bathroom full of Mac n cheese to the menu. Burgers done right!
C. J.
Easeys atmosphere is fantastic, the menu is simple but delicious, and the service we had while dining here was above and beyond.
I. K.
Great venue. Really really good burgers. Quite a unique idea and atmosphere. Highly recommend this place if you are hungry for a great tasting burger.
E. W.
Neat place to visit that has great ice cream shakes. Their diner food is the best I've tried in Melbourne. There is seating at ground level or, up four or five flights of stairs sit in an old train car that has been converted into a diner restaurant.
N. L.
Tastes nice but serving size vs price does not add up. Tiny chips and gravy for $10 and it's small. The burger patties are paper thin. Burger tasted of pickles and lettuce with a hint of beef flavour. It's a shame because I would be a regular if they offered value and juicy beef patties.
J. H.
One of the best burgers I’ve had in Melbourne, wasn’t able to sit in the train due to bookings but was very impressed nonetheless
B. C.
Burgers are grouse and the views from up in the train carriages are even better
R. F.
If you’re in town, I highly recommend you visit Easeys in Collingwood.
I’ve been a regular for years and could honestly say they make some of the best burgers I’ve ever had.
S.
Good burgers and atmosphere. Came when it was booked out in the train carts unfortunately but I will go back again just for the atmosphere and food!
W. Z.
5 stars for their house beer alone. Loved the atmosphere of the tram, was quiet when we went and had the entire thing to ourselves. Staff were friendly and we got our food in less than 10 minutes after ordering. Obviously it wasn’t busy but it was still very quick service.
Got the Louisiana southern, and Mac chips. Both delicious!
A. T.
Trendy and hip burger and beer joint. Be sure to get there early to avoid the crowds and enjoy the views from the top floor in the train! Friendly service helps a lot. Can't get any more interesting than what these guys have on offer. Slightly expensive but offset by the incredible view.
D. L.
Like eating your very first Cheeseburger 🍔 🍔 🍔
No words to describe that first bite....
C. H.
Loved the atmosphere...great burgers..great views...great service
G. G.
Great burgers and mac & cheese tots. The sriracha wings are pretty good too. Plus, you can dine inside a train carriage, which is surprisingly cozy.
L. M.
I personally loved this burger place with some twisted drinks. Meat quality and preparation of burgers is great. You must try their Bloody Melbourne with dimsum wrappes in bacon!
Friendly staff and great atmosphere in an old train wagon located at the rooftop!
M. A.
Perfect space for a weekend glutton sesh. Burgers, donuts and beer, great rooftop view and trains for the Instagram icon.
j. m.
Great venue and that's why I give it 3 stars. As far as the burgers go mine was average especially for the pricing. The pattie was dry, overcooked and lacking flavour. Sides were expensive and the cheese wasn't even melted on the chips...at least I think it was cheese. Friends of mine love it so I'm sure I'll be back to give it another chance. You must experience it for yourself at least for the experience of sitting in a hitatchi!!
A. B.
Burger quite small and just average taste wise. Very overpriced for what you get.
M. S.
We had such a fun time at Easeys, great food, awesome service and the food came super quick.
S. B.
Great original experience. Good food and friendly staff. Nice views of the city skyline too. A must visit in Melbourne.
E. G.
Good burgers and cocktails. Very unique location and good for a relaxed night of food and drinks. Would go again in the future and highly recommend. Staff are friendly.
B. H.
Great burgers and friendly staff, we ran into someone, like quite literally ran into them, and they just brushed it off.
S. C.
Attentive staff and great views, inside the train carriages we grew up with. Food was yummy, and some of it eclectic and fun too!
S. m.
Food was delicious and presented beautifully. Enjoyed the southern chicken burger (had an extra patty) and it was really filling. The dim sims are definitely worth getting. Sitting in the trailer on the roof feels amazing as you get to see the beautiful suburb around you. Definitely worth the travel to try.
K. G.
Special restaurant with special experience. Staff are friendly and burgers are delicious.
Z. B.
This place is amazing, staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is great. Good isn't the best but friendly staff and atmosphere make up for it.
A. P.
The food there is really yummm. Friendly staff and the vibe is also good. Definitely recommended.
G. M.
Such an awesome experience with excellent food and super professional and friendly staff. Will definitely go there again next time I'm in Melbourne.
B. P.
Limited selection of burgers that are slightly pricier (for the quality and portion) compared to other burger joints. They used to have southern fried chicken burger on the menu but it was removed for unknown reasons. The main attraction of this joint is the graffed up Hitachi trains on the top level with a city view to die for.
H.
Rad staff & even better food!
This place is always awesome, even better if ya sitting on the roof in the train!!
J.
food was great and all but the real highlight was seeing one of the waiters AJJ tattoos that was so sick
H. M.
Service from everyone was super amazing especially from Justin! Made our 1 night trip to Melbourne super special :)
++ Food is delicious
A. B.
If you want to experience the best burgers and friendly staff come down and see this place, we love it.
D. A. A.
Burger was deceiving in size, pizza fries was a nice different take. Didn't go up to the train cars, but it looks like a nice view.
J. M.
Had an Oklahoma burguer it was really good, the staff really friendly and got a good vibe
Good for pics, great experience overall
L. L.
Really cool unique experience dining in a tram car 4 stories up. The burgers were amazing. Fast and friendly service. Great prices.
T.
Heart attack central, thank god for those stairs to work something off. Amazing food with such a cool vibe, loved it!
J. B.
Food was brilliant! Couldn’t be happier with the friendly staff. Top notch burger joint 👌
L. T.
Easey's has a wide selection of food for different eaters, plus a unique design style and beautiful views. While a bit on the pricey side, it's worth a go for the unique charm and experience (such as putting Mac n Cheese in your burgers).
J. D.
Friendly staff, unique atmosphere, great food. I got the fried chicken sandwich and cheesy gravy fries; the fries are a must.
J. W.
Good vibes, and amazing food. Service was great too! A true Melbourne icon.
M. A.
Very cool place!
The best Chilli cheese fries I've had in a very long time.
J. B.
Really nice spot for diner style burgers and hot dogs. Restaurant has a grungy Melbourne vibe and the train carriages are iconic. Great photo spots.
Not so good if you're not a stairs person.
I ordered a double bacon burger with a side of fries. The burger was juicy and seasoned well with just the right amount of sauce. Fries were hot and crispy and tasted delicious! Drink selection was somewhat limited but this wasn't really a deterrent
P.
Super cool! You must come here. The burgers are affordable and tasty. Nothing special but the experience is worth living
A. v. W. (.
Love this place. Quirky and fun.
The trains at the top level is great atmosphere.
The food is amazing - I’ve had various burgers and they never disappoint.
Chips (sweet potato or normal) is amazing.
K. [.
Actually ordered on UberEats and reviewed there as well, but worth putting here as well.
Great food and service as always, food was hot and tasty and well and truly fresh when I received my delivery. Had a lovely note and some extra pieces in my bag, thoroughly delighted with the service tonight and will be back again for sure. Phenomenal 👍👍👍
F. &. A. M.
Awesome service & great burgers & dont forget the potato cakes. As always.
C. “. S.
Best burgers I've ever had in Australia. Introduced me to buffalo wings and they were immaculate. The architecture of the place is incredible too as well as the staff being kind and considerate towards all customers. It has a laid back theme to its restaurant and welcomes everyone. The music played there has made up a good chunk of my Spotify as well.
L.
You might find better burgers elsewhere, but you won't get tasty burgers in a typically awesome Melbourne setting anywhere else! The unique experience of dining in an old train carriage that sits several stories high atop a building with views over the city and its outskirts is worth the visit alone. Highly recommended for residents and tourists alike.
I. K.
Awesome place for a burger experience ) really nice views and service. Mind to book a table as seems to be really crowded with good people:)
F. L.
Quirky burger joint. Really good burgers in a most unlikely spot. Train carriages on a rooftop.
G. B.
American style food, big serves, well priced, quick and friendly service. Great view from the train windows
K. E.
Great food. Amazing views. Informed staff. A unique experience overall.
J. R.
The whole place and surroundings are pretty funky. Just felt like the whole place needs a deep cleanung... Rooftop train dining experience is a must try, the rest is average. Beer selection is good but mine didn't taste fresh enough.
P. A.
It's an interesting ambience to dine on the train cabin (rooftop). It's pretty cool, It's just a bit small space surrounding
The service was quick and good foods.
A. G.
American style burgers with grime music!
Such a unique and cool place. Staff were super friendly, food was great and the atmosphere was really chill and groovy.
M. M.
Took the kids to experience eating a great burger in a train carriage. The burgers were perfect as usual. You have to try the mac n cheese, so cheesy it was delicious....
W. L.
Sort of hidden spot, but heaps of character, as the dining area is inside some old train cars on the roof of the building. You need to slog up five stories of stairs to get up there, but it's worth it!
D. T.
I wish I could give 10 stars. We ordered 2 veggie burgers for home delivery. Restaurant accidentally sent us meat burgers. We called up & the legends not only replaced our burgers (free of charge ofcourse) but also threw in so much extra stuff to apologise. My partner even got a free beer out of it. We were happy just to have the burgers replaced but these guys went above & beyond. I’m currently sitting on the couch feeling very bloated but satisfied! Awesome service & great food. Easy choice!
R. H.
I'm not the best burger taster, but it was ok, the bread was tasty and the mixture of flavors too. However, expectations worked against me. the atmosphere was fine but the music was loud.
L. M.
Expected just typical junk food..quality was amazing, great pricing and awesome atmosphere
T. C.
Burgers in a train. What more can you want? The burgers are the perfect serving sizes, and the pleasant sides available are a great accompaniment. The music and atmosphere are fine, but I would have preferred a more chill music vibe, rather than the rather heavy rap style. However, drink range and awesome views combined with attentive staff made for a great visit. Recommend giving yourself some time to find a parking space as it can be tough.
P. H.
Had a late late lunch here with the family atmosphere was great food was nice the service was more than helpful recommend to anyone
t.
Seriously good burgers in a seriously awesome venue. Up high listening to awesome beats, eating amazing burgers and sipping on unique cocktails.. bliss.
C. S.
Amazing place! Fantastic staff, atmosphere and burgers. Can't wait to go back to this very unique restaurant
S. N.
Nice place, good views from the top. American burgers hotdogs and fries. Great attraction as you'll be sitting on top of the building in one of 3 tram carts.
L. A.
Love this place! Different to anything else in Melbourne...eating delicious burgers in train carriages atop a building.
G. Z.
Burgers are awesome, you can also eat in a train carriage on the rooftop. A must try
A. B.
Loved it, the refurbished train cars in where great. View from the top was fantastic. But more to the point the food is awesome. Will be going back.
n. m.
Absolutely brilliant the chicken sandwich I had was amazing!! The drink selection is quite good! Such a cool venue
c.
What an amazing find! The burger patties were a little thin for our liking but the service & unique atmosphere completely made up for it. Mac and Cheese Bites are so good!
M. B.
Great burgers in a fantastic setting. Staff were very friendly and provided top service
L. M.
American style burgers and sides. Book a table.in the old train cars that are perched on the roof....great view!
B. B.
Burgers were A+, atmosphere is really cool. Definitely a must visit when in Melbourne
S. L.
One of the best and most iconic burger joints in Australia.
J. G.
It's ok. Burgers were rather average but filling enough. Maybe the cook was having a bad day.
S. C.
Had better burgers at other restaurants. The ambience is nice with a good concept. Food is okayish.
M. A.
Burgers are fresh and juicy. Wings were delicious. I expected the place to be much better.
A. D. B.
Great place to take someone from out of town to show them just how creative Melbourne restaurants are with their locations. Easy's is in a old train carriage on top of a building. Their food is tasty and well priced, and the views make up for the long walk up the stairs.
U. G.
Couldn't experience the train as we went on a weekday. The burger and chips were very good. No nonsense. Not messy. Ideal portions.
A. G.
Great burgers (soz I ate mine so quick...so good I forgot to take pic. Good service and top notch atmosphere and train themed. They have genuine Melbourne built old school trains up top be prepared to go for a small stair climb.
S. S.
We were taken to a table on the top floor outside the main dining carriage. The food was nice but the pigeons flying around and landing on the tables around us was not the most relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely go back again if I was seated inside 🐦 🍔
D. N.
Laid back and cool customer service, I really dig the atmosphere of this place, try and get a table in the train cart, most amazing burgers you'll ever eat.
D. W.
Love coming here for a burger, wish I lived closer! The sunset in the trains can't be beaten
B. P.
Good burgers and great service. Friendly staff. Oh and they actually have a couple of dessert options.
R. C.
This place has an awesome atmosphere to it. The interior is cool looking and matches the suburb its in perfectly.
Staff are nice, the wait for meals can be a little long though.
Big recommend, get around it.
N.
Delicious burgers. Even the gluten free buns were very tasteful. A novel idea to repurpose an old train carriage.
M. B.
The burgers were really good, nothing complicated, but just really good.. as in right up there good.
What took me by surprise was a humble potato cake.. easily the best I’ve ever had.. Heston Blumenthal chip like (before the wage scandal) crunchy as glass outer, and soft inner.
Being in a train on the roof of a building with Snoop Dogg playing just added to the welcomed bizarreness of the whole experience.
A. P.
A fun place to eat, burgers and tots were great. Staff were friendly and drinks were reasonably priced.
F. L.
Great atmosphere and food was delish! I would definitely come here again. Customer service was fantastic. I came here with my son and he loved it. His words "they're really friendly". Thanks again for making his birthday memorable 😊
N. S.
A friend's of mine and me went to Easey's as local recommended it to us and I can absolutely say that it was the best Burger i had in Melbourne.
The atmosphere was pretty cool, you can sit downstairs or in level 4. There is also a lift for disabled people.
The view from the 4th level was wonderful as you could see a lot of Melbourne. The style of the restaurant was pretty youthful.
Our waitress was kind and the burgers were tasteful!
I could definitely recommend it.
S.
Trendy space with burgers and drinks.
Meals are huge so order wisely. Burgers and Totts were both tasty and cooked well.
Really quick service.
Good range of cocktails, some good, some not so good.
The Bloody Melbourne was Extremely Smoky so buyer beware on that one.
Cool space and relaxed vibe. Would come back.
S. H.
Love the vibe and the interiors of this place...great burgers too
R. C.
Great vibes and unique interior! Unsure if they compost their food though
R. G.
Despite not having a booking. We were let in under 15 minutes. The service was so good and fast. Staff was friendly too!
K.
This place is great, the setting in the train car is super cool and unique, service and the music is always good, and the food is delicious. Highly recommend the mac and cheese bites. The prices are also pretty reasonable.
J. P.
OMG.. how unique this experience was, the burgers are just wonderful, full of taste without being over the top, will be coming back. Great selection of beers and other, the chips WOW, love please, serving size kept me going right through to bed time. Outstanding folks, take the stairs to the roof top teams, elevator is well on the slow side.
C. L.
Food was great. Gem went above and beyond and made my girlfriends experience great. Unfortunately they had one bad egg in the team around 5"9ish wearing a bucket hat and larger build. being very rude, slamming menus on the table being very rude with every interaction. Asked us to leave 3 times in the space of 5 seconds before our booking time was up even though we were leaving. Then he refused to split a bill which ive done there before and his manager came along and did it easily. Not the fault of the restaurant all the other staff and food were amazing and a special thanks to Gem& the manager who was super accommodating
K. T.
Burgers, drinks, and a train. You can't find a better combination.
The food was excellent, there was a wide range of drinks, and sitting in an old Metro Train was very cool.
My only complaint would be the service was a little slow, and we had to flag staff down multiple times.
R. C.
A different dining experience with the dining area in a converted train carriage. It's pretty impressive when you consider the train carriage is on the 4th floor! The food is good American style burgers with fries and nice tap beers. The only disappointment was the hot dog that was bland. I would recommend coming here if you're in the mood for a greasy burger dinner and don't mind a crowded train!
A. K.
Would highly recommend the burgers. The dawgs not so....its alright but nothing to rave about. The buns were real soft and fresh.
T. C.
First time trying Easey's burgers . My god they did not disappoint. Best burger I have had in melbourne to date. We go out burger trialling every weekend and we have found sone gems along the way, but today we found a diamond. The Louisiana Fried Chicked sandwich and Cheeseburger combo is a force to be reckoned with. The simplicity of the cheeseburger would limit ones expectations, but hidden between that soft naughty little bun is a portal to another dimension. A dimension filled with all your wishes and wants. There is no hate in this dimension only an endless stream of love and compassion , maybe if everyone had a littke taste of this slice of heaven the world would be a better place? But who am I to say, I am just a humble man trying to find the perfect burger. Oh! you thought I forgot about the chicken sandwich. Well you are mistaken, I saved the best for last. Let us start from the base, oh goodness that succulent chicken is enough to make anyone sell their gran to devil for just a nibble. Then easeys wants to mess around and add some american cheese, " its just american cheese" some haters would say. Just cheese !!! This cheese would bring gordan ramsey, jamie oliver and the likes to tears. Its beauty, complexity and depth of flavour is unparralled. But I digress. The bacon competed for attention with its cheeky saltiness and subtle crunch. Then add a splash of slaw and sauce and you have produced a divine chicken sandwich. Whilst I was munching, I was entranced, I thought to myself this must have been what they ate at the last supper. A sanga only fit for the truly blessed. But yet it is freely available for us peasants. What a world we live in.
Superb job Easeys, you will see us again.
I.
Great burgers and sides - I'm especially partial to the Mac n cheese bites. A good selection of beers on tap. Excellent staff and service. And of course the rather unique opportunity to dine in a rooftop rail car. You simply don't get that every day.
W.
They have good burgers. Quite pricey for the size.. but soft and good patties and designed reasonably well. But they often mess it up and make the burger an absolute mess which is not cool for the price you have to pay for it.
They have some decent beers on tap.
Somehow they’ve put a train carriage on their rooftop as the upstairs dining room with a view.
They pump hip hop music which suits the shop.
The place is big and the kitchen is upstairs too so the staff communicate with walky talkies.
L. B.
Brilliant place! Love love loved the atmosphere, funky beats, view, food, staff! totally gushing here because this place truly is awesome 💛🍔💛
A. L.
Double cheese burger, best burger I've ever had
Z. X. L.
Excellent for photo taking and their burgers!
D. V.
Food was great, but expensive because we went on Australia Day and there was a 20% extra charge for that.
We were seated and then waited almost 20 minutes before someone came to take our order. Food came out fast, but drinks took so long we almost finished our meals before they showed up, and all the drinks came at different times.
Maybe they were understaffed for Australia Day and that explains it. But paying an extra 20% for slow, unattentive service certainly stings.
M. Y.
One of the best burgers you'll find in Melbourne
D. L.
Awesome burgers and sides, amazing staff and great music.
G. Z.
Took my son and his friend out for burgers at Easey's today. The service was outstanding. Our burgers were super tasty. Great atmosphere.
We loved Easey's and will definitely be back.
Thank you.
D. H.
The Burgers here are the best in inner-city, I really love it! The service was friendly and amazing, I really like you guys played some Old School Hip-Hop/Rap Music here. Straight outta Collingwood, wonderful chef named Chris Hemsworth!
D. B.
Delicious burger, great staff, and interesting fit out. A must for burger lovers.
P. J.
Tasty burgers with fresh tasting ingredients. The trams at the top are lot of fun to sit in, have a drink and enjoy the view from.
J. A.
Good food, terrific service.
S.
A must try restaurant if you’re in Melbourne, came for the amazing views and unique design but was definitely impressed by the delicious menu offerings. Despite not being seated indoors we still had views and a funky atmosphere. Will definitely have to book next time to get the full experience.
兴. G.
Lovely burger and interesting atmosphere which is actually a train coach. Quite Pricey for a small burger.
G. C.
Insane burgers and awesome vibe! Don't forget to try the dim simple! Next Level!!
M. V.
Burgers are great and the staff is really nice. Pretty cool spot. Feedback for bookings during restrictions: 1h and 15 mins is too short, they should allow at least 2 hours.
E. K.
Well looked after! Lovely service. Amazing fries. Great drinks. Highly recommend you bring all your pals here
N. S.
Friendly staff and very high standards set within the joint. Food very very good
L. G.
Great tasting hamburgers and a good selection of beers. A trendy place which can get a bit busy and noisey.
j. o.
Burgers were fantastic, the beef paties are brilliant, great cheaps, the sides are not the best. Great gimmick as well, was a cool experience. Staff are fantastic very personal and attentive. Will be going back
D. T.
So much fun to eat up on the air.... Not to mention on a train! Go early with kids as music can be of questionable taste. Bring a jacket as can be cold under aircon. Otherwise, a must visit burger joint.
C. P.
Food was really very good, location perfectly querky, you'll get some great pics. Beer menu good. Would have been 5 stars but for the waitress promising to bring out ketchup for the chips but completely forgetting. If it were cheap and cheerful place you'd forgive that, but this appears to be a notch above that. Still, would recommend.
T. D.
The concept of this place is really cool! I loved the setting of this place, it’s awesome.
I was rather dissapointed with the seating upstairs, It felt really dirty and unhygienic. Everything had a sticky layer and it just didn’t feel clean at all.
The food came out REALLY quick, I felt like it’s more of a fast food chain vibe rather than a restaurant you can go to and chill out with friends etc.
The portions of the burgers were tiny! Perfect for myself, but definitely not my partner and you can get much bigger burgers out there in Melbourne.
I am glad I tried it out and went to the venue as it was cool, but they try to get you in and out way too quickly and I would much prefer to stick to the cool unique burger places in Melbourne that are out there.
G. S.
Great atmosphere and service. Try to book ahead/request a table in the old train/tram carriages, looking over the sky line is awesome and unique. Food is fast, and Burger focused with a good selection. Fun option for a family. Good bar and beer choices.
A. S.
Great service, we were sitting downstairs and were asked if we wanted to move to a better table when one freed up.
Decent menu. Definitely sit in the train carriage if you can
L. A.
BEST MELBS BURGER!
I got the biggest burger they offer. It has a million toppings and comes with a free local beer. I have been back three times for the exact same burger. Me and my mates love coming to Easey’s when we are in town.
Make sure to get a reservation at least that morning to ensure you can get a table upstairs in the train car!
A. G.
The potato cakes were fantastic (a little bit oily, but fantastic). The rest of the food didn't really live up to the hype. They have a pretty decent, tasty veggie burger, but it was also a bit oily. Most of the food was only lukewarm, almost cold, though. Will definitely give it a second chance though as most people I know have had good experiences. The view from, and the novelty of, the tram cars is amazing
J. W.
Absolutely loved it. Beautiful food. Awesome setting. Fantastic casual dining, good for a first date or something
M. S.
Delicious food, funky vibe. Got a pretty epic cocktail here!
S. D.
Amazing food and truly a must visit place!!
W. M.
A very easygoing space for a catch-up with friends. Also love the burgers here 😋
A. L.
Great burgers. Cool cozy atmosphere.
A. W.
Very very fresh burgers. Often places like this rely on a greasy food, but ingredients were very fresh and not too heavy.
The chips are classic, and graffiti decor is very dope. I would reccomend to any melbourne visitor.
Chuffed.
S. T.
Great burgers and thickshakes with a unique Melbourne quirk. The tram smelt a bit like a public toilet last time though which was a bit off putting- didn't notice this previously though. Their beef burgers are simple, classic American style...I really enjoyed the cheese burger. Would give five stars but the toilet smell deducted one.
M. L.
Having dinner in a 1960s train which was set on a rooftop? You sold me. Make a booking on their website as there are limited seats (it is a converted train carriage after all) or they have other regular seating at the other floors. It was a unique experience indeed. The fixtures such as the control panel and driving knobs were there and we had a go at playing with it. My partner who grew up in Melbourne (and a train aficionado) remembers the train carriage affectionately. The food was alright, burgers and fries that can't go wrong. Good selection of beers. You can seat at the roof top and get a view and sit between 2 other train carriages. Prob would not visit it again. It was just a novel idea for the first time.
A. M. (. R.
Had a gluten free burger. The burger was lovely but the bun was warmed in the microwave which made the bun tough. toasting it would make all the difference. The location is amazing. Glad we sat outside got to see Melbourne skyline
A. G.
10/10 burgers as usual
Easeys beer with a burger is a must
Lime aoli is a must try
Keep up the great work guys👍
N.
Burger was awesome. The cheese and gravy chips were not the greatest I've had. Live the decor. No room upstairs so are on the street level. Busy little place.
S.
Great place. Food was amazing and the price was decent. Great little place to hang out have a few drinks and grab a nice hot plate charged burger. Service was good and we will deffiently be coming back
J. S.
Good food and good service, eating in the old tram was very cool.
A. N.
Great venue, awesome food, cool and friendly wait staff. The tater tots and the mac and cheese bites were epic. The burgers were good but definitely outshone by the sides! Busy, even on a Monday night, but we got a table for 2 with no booking.
J. K.
5/5, food was amazing, friendly staff, great service, waiters awesome, cooks awesome and friendly, thumbs up and a smile as we left.
Burgers here are in my top 5 easy, full of flavour and not dripping juice all over the place. Mac and cheese was awesome.
Pitty it was cold outside, That's Melbourne weather for ya at the end of November.
Still an awesome burger bar !
T. V.
Best cheese burger ever not joking bloody good
J. W.
Quirky atmosphere and setting, and great burgers.
W. O.
You will not be disappointed by the burgers. Food is delicious, drinks are really good, place is done up really well. The elevator takes forever so just take a walk up. Some bit of the menu is red font on black background so it could be a little tricky to read for older people as I had with me. We needed the help of our phone torches. Staff were extremely nice. The location may seem a little miffy but it's alright. Would definitely come again.
S. C. (. S.
THE BEST PLACE TO EAT OMG BURGERS ARE TO DIE FOR, SERVICE IS FAST AND FRIENDLY, PLACE IS CLEAN AND IN A PRIME LOCATION! VIEWS FROM OUTSIDE ARE AWESOME !
Food was all perfectly cooked and drinks were great. Salted caramel thickshake was so much caramel flavour perfect thickshake ! Highly recommend and will return again as have previously!
M.
If you haven't been here then it's a bucket list item for any burger fan. I was lucky enough many years ago to. E onsite when the trains were being lifted onto the roof so it's always been a place of interest for me. The restaurant up on the roof usually does need a booking if you want to sit in the train and eat. Service is really good and beer selection is generally quite good too. Check it out one night.
R. M.
Take away mac and cheese was good, however would probably be nicer in store. The cheese was kind of already hard by the time it got to me.
I. L.
You must get the BBQ bacon cheeseburger, it is honestly the best burger I have had. The flavours are superb. Bacon, cheese, beef, bbq sauce and aioli, and the crispy onion bits which honestly make it even more amazing. Unreal Burger.
A. S.
First visit here last Saturday night with the family and the service was 5 star. We ate upstairs in the train and had our 16 month old with us. The staff were so sweet and kind to Chloe and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was awesome, definitely coming back for more. Highly recommend A+++
J. A.
Loved this place! The location is epic, good vibe, good tunes and best of all, awesome food. Had the mac and cheese hotdog. Highly recommend. The Fried Chicken Sandwich was delicious too. Good selection of drinks. The service was very friendly and helpful. Definitely going back.
O. S.
Awesome burger joint with the quirkiest diner up top - eating in a train carriage on top of a building. These are often busy so I highly recommend booking ahead so you can secure a top spot with a tasty burger.
The main burger was nice and greasy, just what you want in a burger, but there may be better burgers around town by a nose.
Still, Easey's deserves credit for creativity, class and taste for the good burgers it produces.
K. M.
Best chilli cheese dog ever, staff were great, we sat upstairs in the train carriage, they have a downstairs diner, but for the best experience, definitely the train carriage
k. S.
A bit overated. It was very hot and stuffy not good for large crowds
L. C.
Originally got sat in a table without a window, but asked to move and it was facilitated by the friendly staff who were happy to help. Food and drinks were sooo good, and the view was incredible. Definitely worth a visit !
M. B.
Now that the hype has died down, Easey's is well worth a visit.
Yes, they do the crazy burger towers with dim sims, potato cakes, half a chicken etc... But their basic cheeseburger is not half bad. In a post-Rockwell Collingwood, this is probably your best option for a burger.
G. H.
Delicious burgers and a good selection of food
Z. P.
Quirky setting, food and service were great
A. P.
Awesome burgers, great views all in a train carriage
K. K. M.
Not everyone can say to have dined in a train on top of a building. In addition to the experience you also get great burgers and mac and cheese! If you want to eat in one of the carriages it's best to book a few days in advance. On Friday they work on 1hr15mins time slots, so make sure you're on time. Not 5 star just because I wasn't convinced by the sides and the experience with the waiters ranged from really good to average.
M. C.
One of my absolute favourite places to eat! Burgers are consistently delicious, and the service is always good.
If you want a seat in the train, make sure you book ahead. It's limited but a pretty cool opportunity!
V. S.
Best burgers in Melbourne! Definitely have to try
T. M.
Great food with a nice view in a cool environment.
B. B.
Cool spot with a difference for a drink and a snack/meal.
D. T.
Yummy burgers! (Got the jack fruit) and great atmosphere, you can see a lot of the city up in the train cars. We talked to the bartender/server for a while and he was really friendly and informative. Neat experience!
B. B.
Great food. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. the train is cool and the drinks are great. I do recommend booking ahead if you can ( Dimmi offers a painless process for doing that) there is a lift to get up if you don't fancy climbing the stairs. A great spot to take people from out of town for an afternoon beer for a great view of the east . I recommend this place
s.
A novel restaurant with friendly staff and good food. Best to make a reservation for the train. Can get pretty noisy up there on busy nights though
C. M.
Just had the takeaway rowdy double and Mac cheese bites... Soooo good. Easeys really understand what they'ree doing and they get it right. I cannot believe there's anything less than a 5* review here... Why? Because I've been visiting and choosing Easeys as my special treat burger' for the last 6 years and they have never disappointed. Not once.
J. V.
Had a meeting next door to Easey's yesterday, so luckily got the chance to revisit this place. We stayed in the downstairs part (which was freezing), so if you are visiting here on a cold day, make sure you wrap up! I had the double bacon cheeseburger and it tasted amazing. The bun, might have been on the dry side slightly, however, that's just me being picky. The place still has a fun vibe, if you can get past the cold!
J. S.
What a funny old place is Easey’s.
They make a pretty good burger, but at $16-$18 they’d want to be.
They’re definitely appealing to the hipster crowd that want to brag to their friends that ‘they’ve been coming here since before it was popular’.
Sitting in Train cars eating burgers on an inner suburban roof, and 4 flights of NYC graffiti vibe. That’s a particular demographic.
We had 2 burgers, some chips, and 2 beers, and were $75 poorer. But I can say that their Mac ‘n’ Cheese is the best I’ve had in town.
Come here so that you can bang on to your friends that you’ve been, stay for an pricey burger that mostly delivers. Drink a reasonably priced beer, or, buy a stupidly expensive one.
The choice is yours.
D. S.
Really good burgers and chips. Roof top train bar is something to see for yourself, considering i didnt know it was there till I walked out on the balcony below while at a function and looked up. Not the normal burger bar if i can call it that, but well worth a meal and a couple of drink. I'll be going back for sure. Thanks to the staff too, great service with a smile. Cheers
R. C.
One of the best burgers in Victoria, also some of the best service!!
s. c.
It’s a train on top of a building that serves burgers! How can you not go here?! Not a place for someone on the hunt for comfort, lots of space and excellent service, but still a must because...well...they’re flippin train carriages on top of a building! Burgers are ok - there’s a lot of competition in Melbourne.
B. L. R.
Burgers are fantastic and their chips are some of the best I've ever had! Staff are super friendly and accommodating, can't recommend this place enough for a unique dining experience!
S. M.
easeys goes absolutely raw, crazy awesome place
F. V.
Great location anderen great View. Burgers are good, but not special
G. H.
Delicious burger and great customer service from Nick. Recomended and will come back
A.
What a place! One of the best burger spots in Melbourne
B. G.
We just went for their version of the In N Out burger but ended up loving the ambience and will definitely go back. Book first, it fills up real easy and request a table of the fourth floor - it's amazing! You sit in an old train carriage on old train seats with a great view. The transport/graffiti vibe is great.
We were very lucky - we have an 18 month old and were seated at the front (other end of the carriage to the bar) and there was no one at the seats with what's left of the driver controls. Our daughter amused herrself and I didn't have to stress about her breaking anything because there's really nothing to break.
The staff were really cool and didn't give us "they brought a child?" looks even though it's more a place for the younger child-free set. The staff were really friendly and the hard lemonade was the best! I have tried replicating it and can't get it as good. And the burgers were great!
Another great feature is the place runs Sonos for its audio so it sounds really good. Thank you Easey's, for a lovely night out - rare opportunities for us so we were all the more appreciative to be welcomed. We will be back one day to try your normal burgers!
S. D.
Can not believe how great my experience was from the moment I arrivedon't. The staff were more than accommodating for the balloons and cake I had for my friends birthday! I was entertained with great conversation from one of the staff whilst I waited for my party to arrive. Once the rest of he party had arrived, my friend was made a birthday cocktail which was outstanding and the burgers..... Too die for ! The cake was a surprise and bought out by staff. Thanks so much guys a truly amazing experience!!!
M. S.
Booked a table in the train for dinner. Really good experience. Service was great and the staff very friendly. Great burgers and sides, and a decent selection of beers/cider on tap.
This would be great in the summer when the days are longer, as the view is quite nice.
C. M.
The chilli cheese dog was bloody delicious. Do book before you go in for better/warmer seating.
R. v. D.
Coolest building in Melbourne with the best food and greatest service (special shout-out to JD for showing us around and giving us the story !) loved it so much and can’t wait to be back.
S. A.
Really cool vibe and the staff were friendly and attentive. Food was good but a tad pricey however it certainly was a positive experience. It's all about the novelty of eating in a train carriage on the top of a building in Collingwood. Definitely check it out.
M. L.
Definitely a spot to check out if you are a train lover. From the rails and sleepers on the front doors, to the authentic graffiti in the lift (which has seats, because you'll be waiting a while for it to reach to 4th floor) the whole experience was enchanting, and then we got to the train, with its commanding views.
The staff were super helpful and friendly, had a great time
H. W.
Eating inside a train carriage is definitely an unique experience but the food portion is way too small for the price they charge you. It would be 4 stars if they can improve on that. Also the music is bit too loud to have a conversation while dining.
B. M.
We overall enjoyed the experience. We liked the food, it was a little pricey but overall great. Only reason for only 4 star was that you order at the bar and they ran out of gluten free buns so we had to eat with a piece of salad as a bun.
J. S.
Amazing place to go for dinner, great service and wonderful service!
J. K.
I have come back a few times for the unique vibe that sitting in a train on top of the roof and eating burgers gives me. Sweet potato chips are yummy and the burgers are pretty good. Very friendly bar and wait staff. To get a seat in the train, it's best to make a booking online. The floor to ceiling graffiti art in the stairwell was a bit imposing for one of my dining companions. And on one occasion the lingering smell of spray paint propellant was slightly irritating. Fortunately, the staff were happy for us to open the window and smell was gradually dispersed.
J. S.
Pretty good burgers, they have that American style cheese burger taste. Make a booking if you want to sit in the train - take the stairs as the lift takes forever. Pretty cool spot with different dining options, good drink selection and nice milkshakes.
D. T.
Saturday night dinner sitting outside between 2 train carriages provided a great atmosphere for dining. Service was prompt and we received our food without a lot of waiting!
Easey Cheesy is a perfect example of a K.I.S.S. burger, perfect blend of flavours. Mac and Cheese side however was less creamier than expected. BBQ wings marinated very nicely in what tastes like Jack Daniels sauce. Tots tasted like your standard potato gems from the supermarket though.. didn't quite get much chicken salt either.
Overall a nice meal out :)
Recently gone back and it seems like the spark is gone out of the place? Burger not as nice as the first time I went..
T. R.
The novelty of eating in a train carriage is great and it appeals to young and old. We had the only kids there. Booking in the carriage means a one hour slot. The food and drinks are very quickly served. It's standard fast food, about one level down from a grilld-style burger and with less variety. Almost no vegetarian. In other words, the food is dated, and so is the graffiti-style artwork ... when did you last see graffiti near a Melbourne train. But the service was very good. Treat it as a novelty experience because it was fun.
d. o.
best burger place ever! the service and vibe is amazing !Best views..... once we placed our orders they came in under 5 minutes which is amazing considering the amount of people that were there at the time. 100% recommend this place
M. J.
Decent burger, decent service, amazing innovative location.
The burger scene in Melbourne is crazy competitive these days, and while Easey's offering is respectable, it is not game changing. The venue however, is definitely the most interesting place to sit and eat your burger: if you are lucky enough to get a table. Come early, tables upstairs go quickly.
R. F.
Food is pretty good but local competition for burgers is fierce. Definitely best bet for an over the top greasy burger when you're feeling in the mood for one.
Eating on the converted train carriage on the top is cool and I recommend you try that though you need to book.
W. H.
So deserving of these 5 stars. Really warm welcome, we did book a table to guarantee a spot in the carriage however you can take your chances as not every night is fully booked and we saw walk-ins getting seated in there. Everyone loved their food and their drinks. Burger sauce and the fries were especially delicous. Major danger having this place in walking distance of where we live!
Z. W. (.
Possibly the best burgers I've had in Melbourne. It was busy on father's Day so we couldn't sit in the train upstairs but I never book my tables so it's on me ! :) Beautiful selection of burgers, staff is lovely, place looks awesome and well the trains !!!!!
I. T.
Had a great experience here. The rooftop train is very unique with a great lookout and the food was fantastic. I would highly recommend booking a table to avoid disappointment during peak times.
A. D.
Yeah pretty disappointed recently, standards have slipped quite a bit since 2019.
Q. Q.
Super friendly, ever before we had even got there, re: booking on ph. didnt get through to anyone but left a message and it was promptly replied. Dined upstairs in the train and was as it was when running on the ground, ie alittle scruffy but nice old feel. table, seating clean, basic layout, loved the use of sliding doors and old train handles. Tint on windows , for obvious summer reasons sort of marred the views abit. Friendly staff and great service and order to serve turn around.. We ate, Cheeseburger, Chicken Bow Wow, Jackson Pullock and deep fried potatoes (chips) Cheese & Gravy. all were good. I personally ate the Jackson Pullock which I loved. Had two little people with us so the 'adult' music was alittle inappropriate but my kids are mature and didnt make too much of it but they did point it out to me which I replied, it is technically a bar as well that would cater mostly to adults. Pricing pretty standard to what you pay out there but still abit more than my budget so is a treat. Would happily return and recommend.
L. M.
Service and food was on point. I'd say for price rating, 8/10.
S. M.
The environment of the restaurant was pretty great. The train booths and graffiti were very cool. The food was to my liking and came within 7 minutes of placing the order, so that was good. Would definitely suggest booking a table ahead lads.
Pricey stuff but very tasty.
Easey's is officially saucypanman approved.
Follow me on Instagram @saucypanman for more intellectual food posts.
R. E.
We had 2 different vegie burgers which were ok, not brilliant. The service was great, fast, and chips were awesome. Beware of the choice of music. There is a sign that warns you of explicit language, but it was seriously explicit! Not cool at all.
R. A.
Such a cool and unique place, there's nowhere else in Melbourne where you can eat and drink in a train on top of a building! Delicious burgers and a great choice of drinks to wash them down
S. V.
Really friendly staff. Nice ambiance and vibe. Burgers and fries are tasty. However prices are quite high for the size of the burger you get which is quite small. This is more for the experience I would say.
M.
Tried Easey’s for the first time a few days back and to be honest, it was good, but not amazing. I say that for a few reasons...
Had the “Double” Louisiana Fried Chicken Burger. The burger was quite flavoursome and tasty, and whilst it did “just” fill me up, I feel as if the $19 was quite expensive for the “double” when in all honesty, it was nice chicken, but probably the amount of chicken you should expect in a regular or “single” one. The “spicy aioli” wasn’t actually very spicy. Overall it was tasty, but the main problem besides it being a bit overpriced was the journey to the top. As I had never been here before, I was unaware that you order food in some train carriage on the 4th floor. Instead of offering the lift or stairs (I didn’t realise there was stairs initially), the staff member down stairs stuck me and my friend in the very very dodgey and slow lift. It took 2 minutes just to get to the 4th floor. The elevator was so small (literally smaller than your average shower cubical) and at one point it just stopped for about 30 seconds, and then started moving again extremely slowly. I’ve read other reviews on here about one person getting stuck for 20 minutes. Eventually after 2 minutes, the door slowly started to open and we were free onto the train carriage which was also very small. Staff serving wasn’t really rude but didn’t exactly seem that interested or polite either. So BEWARE!!! The burgers are tasty but a bit overpriced and if you are claustrophobic, DO NOT USE THE LIFT! There is a significant chance the lift will fail on you when you’re inside. My friend and I were lucky the doors eventually opened. This is coming from someone who has NEVER felt truly trapped nor claustrophobic in my life, but being in this lift made me INCREDIBLY claustrophobic and I haven’t used a lift since and probably won’t again. Even if you are not claustrophobic, use the stairs... There is a heck of a lot of stairs, but at least there’s no chance of getting stuck. If you are in a wheelchair etc. I suggest avoiding. Trust me, that lift can turn just about anyone from calm to anxious instantly.
3-star rating overall.
A. C.
Was a great place to eat but would like them to add a few vegan items to the menu so I can bring other friends to enjoy the great environment
L. B.
Hidden away down what seems to be a back street is a delicious burger restaurant. Sitting in the trains on the roof is an experience people should try at least once. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere, only down side lots of stairs
L. B. (.
Good veggie burger and fries (my friends liked theirs as well) in a unique and cool location !
Just a bit small maybe for the price. Nice staff.
(Somehow very unpleasant smell on the first floor, don’t know what was going on when we went)
D. Y.
The burgers are average. But the train on rooftop just makes everything better. If are lucky enough to get the seat at the driver's seat it will be even better. Great for kids who loves trains too, take them there during day time.
T.
Straight up never disappoints me. Foreals this is such an experience. Make you book ahead as the trains upstairs always booked out fast!!! The guys and girls are just plain chill af and will always make you feel welcome. The food is just delicious!
B. U.
Where else you can have a good American Style burger in a tram on a rooftop? You can also have a great selection of beers that includes IPAs? I recently had their pulled jackfruit as a vegetarian option, strongly recommend it.
This is a good Friday lunch for us at work. Good place for anyone after a Tommy's style burger from Los Angeles (except the chilli's).
L. G.
Probably the only place where you can have one of the best burgers in town in graffiti covered train carriages.
Music is rad, staff is super awesome, food is great. You will not get a dry, poor burger. It's dirty in the best way possible. Not for people on a diet.
U. G.
I heard a lot about this place but I believe there are better joints around Melbourne. Service was good but you pay the top dollar and only have an hour n 15 min to spend time there. The burger itself is not filling, you have to order drinks and fries separately to fill yourself. Tight seating n torn seats 🙄
Overpriced and overhyped
J. M.
I booked at easeys for 2 and was very excited to try it. But when we arrived we were given a very small table on the side and then I asked to be moved. We waited 45 minutes just for 2 burgers and chili chips. The burgers tasted good but they weren't worth waiting 45 minutes for. Plus they were small. I won't be going there again.
C. F.
The guy at the counter downstairs told us rather rudely there was no room on the rooftop when we arrived on a Sunday afternoon. Then 5 minutes later after 2 guests left, he changed his mind and sent us upstairs. When we went upstairs there were numerous free tables. Burgers are ok, they always come out lukewarm and the cheese not melted which is disappointing. Been here twice now and won't rush back. There are better burgers in Melbourne
L. F.
Had a mistake on the order from Deliveroo, and the guys there sorted it out easy and made it up for us. They went beyond. Legends. Burgers are good too, mac and cheese.... a win :)
L. B.
Food is average price but quite good. Serves a good American style burger. The location is amazing, try and get onto the tram level if possible, possibly the best interior I have seen in a while.
A. L.
Amazing service!
Great food and drink, exceptionally friendly staff who went above and beyond to make our night great (especially JD!) and lovely views.
S. M.
Unique location and setup. Super-friendly service and delicious burgers.
There are two eating areas; up in the tram on the rooftop and more tables downstairs; I would recommend booking a table if you want to ensure you get to the rooftop to avoid disappointment - also be aware that the bookings are only for a 1-hour slot; service is quick though so this isn't a big deal, but it's not a place to spend a relaxed all-evening dinner at. The tables sit a maximum of four people.
M. L.
The food is incredibly great value and absolutely delicious. The price is incredibly reasonable and you can eat your burger up high on top of a building in an old train carriage. Very much worth going to.
d. s.
gotta be the best place in Melbourne to enjoy a burger and some real graffiti!
M. W.
Ordered through Uber eats. Love the Mac and cheese potato gems and the buffalo wings were really tasty but they were just not coated in enough sauce and the containers of sauce were minuscule. Happy to pay more for them to be larger as my expectation would be that if I ordered 1 it would be enough. Alas it wasn’t and I should have gotten 5
J. G.
Burger was so nice, the buns were soft and it wasn't hard to eat! Perfect sizes👌 the atmosphere is really nice and for a Friday it wasn't hard to get a spot! Honestly a place I'd go again, so cheeeaaaap!
G. B.
Iconic location and novel use of old train carriages although the food can be hit and miss - all of our burgers were overcooked so it may have been an "off" day in the kitchen.
J. C.
Such a surreal setting for a burger joint- When I have friends or family visit from out of town, I make it a point to take them here. It's a great way to showcase how "Melbourne" Melbourne can be! They love going home and telling how they ate a meal in an old train carriage on top of a building with an incredible (though slightly distant) view of the city. And the fact the staff encourage you to customise your burger with a HUGE list of add-ons is another really nice touch.
P. C.
Been here a few times, the food has always been fantastic, service has always been good, reasonably good value. Can be a little hard to find a park nearby during the day though and if you want to eat in the train carriage booking is recommended. My only gripe is that the music tends to be a bit too loud, can be hard to have a conversation sometimes. Other than that I'm happy to keep coming back here and recommending to friends!
R. R.
Unique place to visit but very limited menu. If you like burgers, you'll be fine
G. F.
Best burgers you'll ever have
G. B.
Funky setup with great service and food. Get onboard!
