We had a great night here on Saturday night. I hadn't been before but will definitely be back ..... The staff were all supper nice and having a great time which really rubbed off on all the patrons. Genuinely one of the best places I've ever been to in Melbourne. Music is always fabulous, everyone starts dancing at 10pm, and the Fad team treat everyone like family. I can't even count how many times I've recommended Fad to friends, colleagues, strangers on the street - get there ASAP, you won't regret it.

Ori is the queen of everything from the bar to the dance floor. Making a bar work in lockdown and with restrictions is incredibly tough but if there is Venus to do it. THIS IS IT.

Awesome little bar, great decor and atmosphere. Drinks were well priced. Manager seemed a bit rude though - took chairs off people if they tried to move them to sit with their friends, and kept a reserved table of 4 to himself even when people were looking for somewhere to sit.

Walked in here by accident but ended up enjoying the night life with my friends. Very spacious and received quick service at the bar. Retro but we'll organized. I noticed the doorman did a great job protecting people's drinks by the door while they went out for a smoke. Not sure about the other nights but Saturday night music was definitely geared towards ladies night (which is good and bad depending what your going for)! Recommend checking it out, free entry!

What a great vibe from the moment we walked in, the bartender was amazing. She made us some seriously intense espresso martinis and we listened the live band that were so entertaining. When we where hungry the bartender let us know that we could go across the alley to the restaurant and order TA which was amazing. All together a great night.

You will meet people, have a laugh, and be seduced by the eclectic vibe. For people living in the city it will become your local and home away from home. A real gem, an oasis of cool tucked away from the clamour of city life in Chinatown. Fad has for over 20 years supported new and established artists through exhibitions and auctions, album launches and functions. It has for me been one of my favourite destinations, where I have met some of the most interesting people I know. The staff are always friendly and obliging, the atmosphere chilled and inviting. Whether you’re just looking for a quiet drink on your way home, to rock out to live music on a Thursday, or dance your way into the weekend with some seriously great music on Friday and Saturday nights - Fad is a must!

FAD is a nice little bar that we ended up walking into because the lines for the night club were far too long. The bar is nice, the service is decent, we were lucky enough to catch some live music too. If you go to FAD make sure you check out the upstairs area, it definitely gives the bar its own unique feel.

FAD is one of those places in the city i love because it has it's own very unique atmosphere and sense of community. The bar is dark and relaxed with lots of couches and great artwork and photography on the walls. The bar staff, security, dj's and owner are all very cool. During the week and early weekends it's a great place to relax and chat with a coopers but later on in the night on fri and sat it gets a real house party vibe. You can here the music pumping from Little Bourke which brings in the people, who all dance like crazy to the old school rock and party hits. The atmosphere is very cool with a great mix of people. They have another gallery upstairs which is much quieter if you want to escape the fun and just talk as well. It's a beer and spirits kind of a place and has a good smoking area at the back as well. The best feature really is the music and everyone having fun dancing on a friday and saturday night. It's not like a club but as mentioned much like a party at a friend house where they have a killer playlist. They also have live bands fairly often which are good as well, never too loud to talk but loud enough to enjoy if you're in the mood for some live vintage rock or soul.

Interesting decor. All beer in bottles only, but upon recommendation from bartender we tried a Furfy. And it is my new, most favorite beer. If you like lagers- try it. Even better on tap. Fad Gallery is also mere steps from Shanghai Kitchen and some of the best Xiaolongbao in Melbourne. Just sayn -- location, location.. Enjoy.

In the past few years, the top end of the Melbourne CBD has become vulnerable to recent generations' earnest and soulless version of hospitality. There is an island in the stream of nonsense, though, in the form of Fad Gallery in Corrs Lane that has been serving it up for well over 20 years now. Cold cans of beer, Bob Dylan tunes and staff who are devoid of the undeserved arrogance modern bar staff too often abuse. The bar manager is terrific and seems to be able to direct traffic with a mere click of her fingers. I give the place 5 Neil Young records out of 5. Check it out.
