Loved this place. Built beautifully with a living tree in the middle. Meals amazing, bar staff amazing, only thing was waiter who seemed to be to concerned with young ones. He said we could order from table with code, said we don't have one on our table and je said oh well order at bar. Didn't mind that at all, just seemed very flippant instead of speaking to maybe his manager. Anyways we had a great time.

I never knew such a beautiful space exist in the city. Spacious and the decor is beautiful. There’s an Italian restaurant being opened up in a few days. Came in for lunch with my colleagues although some found it hard to order through the app, not much vegan options and the service can be improved. Well we are coming out from a long lockdown so gotta cut them some slack. I’m sure it will pick up. Beers on tap, can’t beat that on a sunny afternoon.

Great service and atmosphere. Had a lovely lunch at TippyTay. Some things were more reasonably priced than others, but everything was tasty. The Negroni fountain was fun!

We had our Christmas party here where we reserved the top section which had a small balcony. The space was perfect for a group size for upto 90 ppl specially it was a hot day. Just the acoustics could have been better as it got really loud. Then we went to their bar in the basement level which was great for our after party

The service was a absolutely AMAZING! By the time my friends and I decide what to eat, the kitchen had already closed and the staff forgot to give us a notice 🥲 BUT, Shawn let us all order from Uber eats and he gave us plates and utensils, got me Tabasco Sauce to satisfy my craving for spice haha 🌶 The service was IMPECCABLE! I even made reservations for my birthday in Jan (We’re still in October lol) 😆 I’ll definitely come back for sure!

This place has one of the best vibes going around. Never knew it was here, but stumbled upon it and went in for a bev. The aesthetic of the whole place is a mad ting. The customer service was good. Pricing is on the higher end of things, but it's kinda what you'd expect for a classy joint like this. Would be elite for a date night or kicking back with the squad after work. The overall experience here was salubrious in every way... definitely recommend sussing it out.

Directions on Google maps was tricky as it led me towards the back. Place itself is good. Plenty of room, food can be ordered without leaving the table with a quick QR code scan. I was there at peak lunch time and the food at our table very quickly. Not a long wait at all. Good place to have bit of pub food, drink and have a merry time with friends.

A first time for me here and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were great, meals were good and drinks were nice too. We sat in the tippy tay area and it was nice, felt like I was back in italy which I have great memories of. Would come again and I recommend it.

Amazing bar, club and entertainment venue right in the heart of the city. Free entry which is a welcome relief from some clubs. Great for an after dinner drink or four. There are three levels with multiple dance floors, many bars and different chill spaces. You need them all as it gets packed! Good for all ages and very mixed crowd. Definitely worth a visit.

What better way to celebrate my wife's birthday than "FREEDOM" day. Post lockdown timing couldn't have been better and the venue was a ball. The music was great but the DJ could have changed it up a little or the RnB could have kicked off (didn't feature at all) in the other room but other than that, top notch night, we entered at 8:30pm and finished the night off at 2:30am all in the same venue so that should sum up the experience. Drink prices were normal 2021 prices, they don't have a huge shot menu, just the basic stuff so if you're planning a bit of a fun filled night and wanting to experiment, maybe try elsewhere.

Very busy venue and getting a drink posed a real problem with the wait time. Could have done with double the staff to keep up with demand. Great venue but spending half the evening waiting for a drink doesn't appeal to me regardless of the venue.

The wagyu steak and beef cheek were to die for and we looooved the oysters! Cocktails were yum but the margarita could do with a little more zing. The staff were so attentive and friendly!! Thanks for an awesome night.

Had a brilliant family celebration at GSH for my daughters belated (after multiple covid lockdowns) 18th birthday. The whole booking and event planning process was super smooth - thanks to Olivia and Tilly. They kept me updated throughout the delays caused by lockdown. Food, Service and atmosphere (the place was jumping) were unmatched as is the case for all Sandhill Rd venues that I have been to. Food was delicious and was brought to the table on share plates from their set menu - particularly the Wagyu rump and the cerviche of schnapper. They also mix up some amazing house cocktails I would particularly like to thank Alicia and Chad for providing exemplary service on the night. The Balcony Room with its own private lift, guest facilities and balcony looking out across the venue was the perfect private space for our group of 20. Please dont hesitate in booking for your special event you wont be disappointed!

Always a good spot, whether it's a casual drink, a meal or a night out. Multiple levels offer plenty of space to sit, stand and dance and the crowd is always good. I had the Chicken Parma recently and it was perfect in size and quality.

Really enjoyed the visit here. The different sections create a nice atmosphere. Plenty of space inside. Lots of drinks to choose from and a nice menu. The food was delicious that we ordered. This place generally caters to the corporate crowd on weekdays and it can get very busy, especially after work on a Thursday or Friday. I came on the eve of a long weekend so it was super crowded. Thankfully I was there for a meal so I got led to the back dining area which was quieter. On Thursday nights they have a steak special - $25 for a rump, which comes with fat chips and herb salad. I think it’s an additional $10 if you want to upgrade to an eye fillet or wagyu flank, can’t exactly remember. It was superbly cooked and I enjoyed every bit of it. Will certainly recommend coming to try this steak special.

Great venue. My friend and I enjoyed the downstairs dancefloor. I enjoyed the cocktails! Dont know if this suggestion makes sense ... Whilst waiting in the bar for drinks, I thought maybe there should be a section where they only serve beer on tap -- since there were a lot of patrons just waiting for beer on tap *but* had to wait a long while since patrons (like myself) were ordering multiple cocktails that took awhile to make. (When i went back to bar to order, I did ask if the person next to me is only ordering beer and let him go first)

Unfortunately, due to the rolling lockdowns in Melbourne, we haven't actually had our event yet at GSH (but we sure are looking forward to when we can!) However, the GSH team has been nothing short of wonderful in accommodating all of our bending, switching and rescheduling to try ensure our function met changing COVIDSAFE requirements ( along with answering our many questions that popped up along the way). Planning for functions in the midst of a pandemic involves so much uncertainty, but if you are feeling brave and ready to party, Garden State Hotel is a great choice to ensure peace-of-mind for your next event.

Great venue, friendly staff. Layout is pretty amazing with plenty of things to keep us amused / busy. DJ drops some fresh tunes mixed in with some classic throw backs! Must visit.

Had a really good time which was only made better by one of your male staff members who when collecting empty cups was dancing, laughing and creating a really positive atmosphere. He definitely deserves a raise, he enjoys his job and really made everyone's night by engaging with the patrons. Seriously 10/10, my only regret was not catching his name so I can forward this on to management directly. (I can only describe him as having incredibly bouncy blonde-ish hair)
