I went to this bar by myself quite early, 6:30ish. I was curious to see the view, even with the sunlight still going, the place has an amazing cool vibe. Small and cozy, love the fairy lights and the friendly service. I had the “Just right” cocktails which was super!! I’ll return for trying the other cocktails and appreciate the view during night time. Definitely would be mind blowing! Love it

Went there last night with a group of mates. Was very pleasant. The view was amazing and the vibe was immaculate. Not overly packed like some bars, no one spilling drinks on each other or floor which i appreciate! Food be bussin hard, especially the veggie pancake thingy! The staff were so welcoming and friendly. On that note, special shout out to Hugh, his service was supremely. His table service was super timely and he was such a delight everytime he stopped by our table. He deserves a raise!!!

Cute rooftop bar, drinks are flavoured mainly with candy flavours, think hard candy or ice pop flavours, definitely an acquired taste. Bar staff are hard workeds and drinks are quickly made. There was a long queue at 10pm when we left.

Good location and ambiance but mediocre service. Waited 30 minutes to receive our drinks. Asked for a spicy margarita and was given a plain one. Upon asking if it was plain was told quite curtly: “it’s spicy”. It was not and it was overpriced for the service.

A somewhat uninviting staircase leads to a narrow rooftop bar with bench tables and stools overlooking the centre of the city I suspect that at night the view would be amazing. Although we felt the seating a little uncomfortable for our bones the service was second to none with the bartender making a valiant effort to come up with a drink for my partner and succeeded. Atmosphere was a functional bar with music. Would come again for the service

Took me a while to find the first place, but what a place. Great for a date or with some mates. Cocktails are spot on, and good craft beer selection. The view on the balcony is great, but with outdoors heating it's still comfortable to sit outside. 10/10

Went at 6pm and ordered two cocktails and three entrees. Very pricey and not many food options but the adventure to find this place was fantastic and the drink we're fantastic but the staff looked and acted completely miserable which wasn't great atmosphere at all. Awesome experience! Finding the bar is half the fun. The cocktails are amazing - BEST espresso martini I have ever tasted (like, EVER), and the staff were warm and inviting. I enjoyed the small, intimate setting and would love this place even more if they had an order and pay from your phone function! Perfect for date night or getting together with a few friends.

Nice hidden rooftop bar with an incredible atmosphere! Although seating is limited, if you score a spot you won't want to leave! Staff are always a pleasure and lovely, and can't go past their espresso martini's here!

Great drinks and vibes in the “COVID” normal. Our food from downstairs was late but it arrived in the nick of time! The bar staff gave us free G&Ts as a peace offering and we’re so thankful. First rooftop bar I’ve been to in the city that wasn’t so crowded you felt like you were about to fall off! This place is a hidden gem that I’m really glad that I found. Table service was decent, usually within a few minutes of finishing a drink someone was around to check if we needed something else. Nice city view on a sunny afternoon made the drink really enjoyable. Only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 is that it’s a little bit tricky to find and getting in and out of the space is a little uncomfortable! Otherwise it was a great place for an evening drink!

Nice venue that is tucked away and hidden. Beautiful views of the city. Hard to get seating for a larger group so definitely recommend only for couples or small groups. Nice venue that's a hidden and out of the way (not that uncommon in Melbourne!) A lovely feel; good music and great staff. Can agree with other reviewers that the vegan salt and pepper squid is really very good and difficult to differentiate from the real thing. Great cocktails though would be great if you had a chardonnay on the wine list. Would likely have had a glass or two more if you did!

After my first experience here I thought the staff must've been having an off day. But after a few visits it seems pretty consistent. Mostly inattentive, unless asking (telling) people to move to squeeze more people in. Table service doesn't work if you're not looking to see who wants to order. The evening atmosphere and the little garden are nice and it'd be a great place to show out of towners if you're okay with a bit of a wait between drinks.

It's one of those secret hideout bars on the rooftop of a building that you'll need to find. Enter along Swanston Road, into the lift next to a Chinese hotpot place. After exiting the lift, you'll need to go through the emergency stairwell to get to this place, faced with the bar table immediately and the many outdoor tables facing the streets. Do go for their beers and cocktails, as that's what they're known for. Do try the limited availability specials, found on the first page of the menu. We had the brown ale and really liked it. Overall a nice place to chill and catch up with friends - no fancy music no fancy anything, just a nice cozy ambience with good alcohol and service.

Soon as we arrived in the hidden elevator the friendly staff were more then happy to shuffle people around the small astro turfed roof top to accommodate us! Well well well, just like in the fairy tale, you have to take a little journey to find Goldilocks. Through a Chinese restaurant, up a lift, past an asylum-concept cocktail bar, up a few stairs, and you find yourself in one of Melbourne great rooftop bars. Goldilocks is more intimate and comfortable than most rooftop bars. Table service cocktails come from some of Melbourne’s most skilled bartenders. Unfortunately we went on one of the hottest nights in Melbourne ever, terrible idea but coupled with a few crispy ciders and cool company. It was a fabulous night to remember.

It's an interesting rooftop speak easy bar, hidden above the emergency stairwell and behind closed doors. The entrance is right by the Chinese hotpot place, along Swanston Road, so do look out for that. Once you give the lift lobby, you should be able to get to the bar subsequently. Beers and cocktails are their specialties, especially those limited availability items that they carry on page one of the drinks menu. We had the brown ale, while our friends had the cocktails. Both were pretty good for an evening catch-up, and the roof heaters definitely help with the chilly winds. If you're in the area and looking for an interesting bar to get to, make sure you walk down the CBD district and try this out!

Being so small really does hold some great advantages - the wait staff remember your rounds, there's no line at the loo (seemingly only one loo - the right side loo seems to have been "out of order" for over a year; maybe a regulation dodge), and rowdy, super loud people are noticed quickly and chucked out - keeping the vibe friendly for everyone else. Table service is a massive plus - I hate having to pay at every single round, and just settling the bill at the end keeps everything super simple.

The Goldilocks is one of my favourite rooftop bars in Melbourne. It's kind of hidden for many people as you have to take an elevator which looks like a private one bringing you to a loft. It has a nice atmosphere, inviting interior design, good views, very good selection of beers and also yummy wine. It's the perfect location to start or finish the night.

I think it would be okay if I go early and get a seat first I went and ate dim sum, and it looks like it's okay. It looks like it's brought from the restaurant below It's perfect for snacks. I went and drank dark beer / lager, but the atmosphere seems to make the beer more delicious. The toilet is also inside, so it's not dangerous and it's convenient, so it seems good :) There is a tent, so it is good to avoid sunlight even in summer. / It is good to have an electric heater in winter. (Original) 밖에 구경하면서 마실수 있는 자리 있긴 한데 자리가 별로없어서 사람들 바로 차는것 같네요. 일찍가서 자리 먼저 잡으면괜찮을것같아요 가서 딤섬먹었는데 괜찮은것 같아요. 아래 식당에서 가져오는것같은데 안주거리로 딱 좋네요 가서 흑맥주 / 라거 마셨는데 분위기가 맥주를 더 맛있게 해주는것같아요. 화장실도 내부에있어서 위험하지도 않고 편리해서 좋은것 같네요 :) 천막이 설치되어있어서 여름에가도 햇빛 피하기 좋고 / 겨울에는 전기히터있어서 좋네요 .
