The beef tartare was really good, beer and wine good as usual, yummy chimichurri but the Sunday roast a bit of a disappointment... the roasted rump was mostly fatty and the portion quite tiny. I would recommend to go for any other option.

We had our end of year function here and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The view was spectacular, the food was very nice and the staff went out of their way to make sure everything was just right. The events coordinator was super friendly and easy to to deal with and made organization that much easier. Would definitely recommend.

I always go to the rooftop and the ladies at the bar there are just so nice and so helpful. I always seem to run in to this red head bartender (apologies for forgetting your name!) And she's so lovely. The food is great, the venue is beautiful and the staff are lovely. This is my favourite place to go in Williamstown, I've been at least 6 times in the past 4 months. Love it.

Guys your food is next level. We were so happy to sit on your balcony and eat way too much of it. Not your regular style pub fare which was so refreshing and everything was delicious. Those chicken tenders need to stay away from me lol. Look forward to many more visits from now on! The new kid on the block have taken over the old Hellenic Hotel/Hotel Argentina on Ferguson St Williamstown. Three amazing levels, including balcony’s and a rooftop. Bustling since open day this is something fresh the area needed! Every dish was tasty and the staff are friendly. The rooftop has its own small menu, where you can sit and drink with uninterrupted views of the city skyline.

I really appreciated having a gorgeous area on the rooftop all to our selves for our Christmas party. We ordered plates of starters to share and all the food was delicious, whilst still being able to have a cash bar. My only suggestion would be to have a few more items that work better as finger food for a non sit down function. But really everything was so great, and Michelle the events co-ordinator was very accomodating. We didn’t want to leave! I think we could have admired that view and drunk cocktails and great wine for many more hours!

Love going to Hobsons Bay Hotel, the food is fantastic, the staff are really attentive. Upstairs on the balcony has a beautiful view day and night, downstairs in the main dining area is an awesome vibe. Accessible lift too! Intimate dinner, catch up with other mums and catch up with colleagues, Hobsons Bay Hotel has catered beautifully for all of these activities for me.

What a great addition to the Williamstown are this has been. Pub grub done right, casual dining but with quality meals. The oysters are always beautiful! Excellent service and food in a well designed space that retains the vibe of pub with the appeal of bistro/restaurant. Servings were the optimal mix of high quality ingredients presented simply and unfussily. Thoughtful sides and flavour combos elevate the in season, fresh, plate heroes. Despite a bustling post lockdown day, service was attentive and efficient. Wish we’d sat upstairs on the covered balcony to take in the afternoon winter light and views to the city.

This place was once a dive (all be it cosy) then was the Hellenic hotel (home of the pay scandal if George Calombaris) then became a Portuguese restaurant that had mediocre food at chefs hat prices (didn't last long) Now after covid it's open again as a pub... I love this place. They food is always amazing as are the staff. It’s set over 3 levels and caters for casual snacks or sit down full service meals and it has the most amazing view of the city from the rooftop, which also has heaters and screens so it is doable in winter.

I had no qualms introducing a well-travelled couple to this venue. We enjoyed a delightful meal, sampling numerous dishes from the dining menu. The kingfish, cauliflower fish ‘n chips and butternut squash all receiving rave revues. Floor staff were attentive but unobtrusive. All in all, a delicious couple of hours in a meticulously and tastefully rejuvenated setting. Congratulations to all involved.

The rooftop is fantastic, with amazing views of the city. A shame it closes at 10pm due to noise restrictions. Nice cocktails and food, however they lose a star for not having a good old parma on their everyday menu, only on their specials night!

The roof terrace is fantastic - beautiful views, open, spacious and easy access to a large bar. A great addition to the venue, enabling a nice pre-dinner drink before going downstairs to eat. It makes for the perfect place to meet friends and to impress visitors to Williamstown Good drinks options. We are yet to eat here, but seeing the food that was going past as we walked through, we are looking forward to dining there soon.

We liked the menu which had a good range of meals including a few vegetarian selections. The atmosphere was intimate but casual. The staff were very friendly, so all in all we had great night. We will definitely be dining here again.

It is a very long time since I have eaten such excellent beef. Normally I tend towards pescatarianism, however the meat is so good at Hobson's Bay Hotel I am usually sorely tempted. The kitchen work hard to deliver great dishes but the meat is spectacular. The wine list has some really lovely variety. Please keep up this standard and I will return and continue to return and be a very happy customer.

Best new pub in Melbourne! The view of the bay and city is incredible. Tried to book but the dining room was booked out. Fortunately, they do walk-ins only for the rest of the venue so we had no probs getting a spot and some grub! Get the fish and chips! A classic feed from a classic pub.

The desserts here were ah-mazing. Soooo delicious. Chocolate brownie with butter scotch sauce and vanilla ice cream, and key lime pie. The texture were soooo smooth it just melts in your mouth. I would definitely come back for desserts. Food was delicious too. Ordered the 1kg T-bone steak. Wait time for it was roughly 40 minutes. Ordered kid's fish and chip. It was a smaller serving than expected.

We ate here on New Year’s Day in the restaurant on the ground floor and the food was absolutely delicious and the service was great - I really love what they’ve done with the place! We went for a look upstairs and the balcony area was gorgeous (we’ll eat here next), then we went to the rooftop and the views of Melbourne are absolutely breathtaking - we’ll be back with a group of friends for a drink.

Staff are very attentive and friendly. We ordered a couple of starters to share between 3 of us. Spicy chicken tenders were delicious, so too were the bread and dip and kingfish tartare. Was a great way to start the meal. We followed with the ribeye for two which came with perfect condiments and was perfectly charred and tender and the whole baby snapper and shared a bowl of shoe sting fries. Was eyeing off the baked cauliflower as well which looked amazing but the above was the perfect amount for 3 so will have to try it next time. Reasonably priced for a high quality meal and would highly recommend. As a side note, we ate in the dining room so could see all the goings on in the kitchen which was fun to watch. The burgers and oysters were flying off the passe 🤩

Great rooftop if you can get on it. Great view of Melbourne CBD. Nice wrap around balcony one level down with leafy trees by your table. Really great venue. Not a craft amount of craft beer on offer. Definitely signed up with a major distributor. Have Balter XPA and Mountain Goat Steam Ale on tap. Looks like a few open fires ready for duty on the cooler days. Didn't try the food. Maybe next time.
