A very enjoyable classic pub lunch experience, nestled inside QV. A notch above for the quality of food. Inside and internal terrace 'outside seating. Cosy, friendly staff. My fried calamari was light and tender. Generous servings. We shared nachos & pizza, both delicious. Pizza crust was lights and crispy, quite authentically Italian. Everyone was happy with their meal. The osso bucco was top notch and got a thumbs up from someone who knows their osso's! And even the mash was good. Finished with few beers & a chardy made it an overall great pub lunch experience. Haven't been there at night, but looked like there was a stage area for a band. A repeat favourite with the crew.

Had my birthday here recently (not using the function rooms, just booked a table) and had the best night ever. Great drinks (strawberry daiquiri was insanely good), fun bar staff and fantastic ambience. The band who played were also brilliant. Overall, I’ll always rate you guys at 10/10

Such a lovely place to go, so convenient, and the staff are so lovely, I went to the trivia night recently and although I did awfully I had a lot of fun, very nice happy vibes in this venue. I would very much recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere nice and homely to sit for a while.

Convenient location, reasonably priced drinks and decent service. There's even an option to order at the table via QR code. Security at the front are nice. Pretty sure there's a DJ playing on Saturday nights (There was one when I went) which is a bonus. Plenty of TV screens showing sports and pool tables in the back. Super spacious so there's plenty of space to walk around without bumping into anyone.

Great pub with friendly staffs and great atmosphere. There is seating available indoor as well as outdoor. Retro style leathery cushions and table plus pool table on one side and dance floor on other. Serving drinks done in central area and the seats are placed all around. Barrel shaped table as well which adds to its beauty.

Visited from Brisbane. Absolutely loved it here!! The bartenders and all staff were amazing!! So funny, welcoming, and a great atmosphere!! Our bartender Jesse made the most delicious coctails and shots. Talented man. Paula taught us some Spanish. And the supervisor (sorry I forgot the name) was great company with the best service. Definitely coming back here to visit our new friends.

Honestly... this pub is much a muchness. You get exactly what you'd expect. Very much over the top rule Britannia, plus tons of cable sports in a dark slightly dank surrounds with really predictable, stereotypical taps and fridge stock... In Melbourne Central. Bar staff are okay but unsurprisingly a bit harried and distracted. Basically could be worse, could definitely be better BUT that's me if you want predictable, reliable, comfort (kind of dull to me) this is your kinda pub with that kinda crowd some of whom look a wide eyed. I'd prefer a hell of a lot more variety and new er more interesting beers but I'm pretty certain I'm not the target market here and that's okay.

Cool place tucked away in Melbourne central, with decent service and prices. Only thing I didn't like was the t.v. screen. It's got a pretty sweet area to play pool and chill with friends. They let us in as a group of 7 without a booking towards the end of the night which was cool.

This is a nice bar tucked up the top of the shopping centre. If you need a break from the bright lights and colours of modern capitalism and somewhere quiet to watch the cricket while someone else is out shopping, this is a good spot. They have Guinness on tap which I love and TVs all over the place so when it's packed, like it was for the UFC, you can easily find a spot to watch whatever is on. It's dark, cool and has beer.

Great food, great selection of drinks, great staff. The atmosphere is like and old school pub littered with sporting tat. The tables and chairs have been through their days but their weathered appearance add to the atmosphere. I prefer to go during weeknights other than Friday so that I can enjoy a quiet night, however I use the term quiet loosely. The pub does like to put their music on full blast and if you're unfortunate enough to be sitting next to the speaker you will have to scream when talking to your companions. Everywhere else maybe some mild shouting to reasonable conversation levels, it's a gamble. Still a great classic pub to visit, I always come back to it.

Had a very enjoyable experience here last night! We aren't locals, but we were made feel very welcome. The host was amazing and very friendly and made sure everyone had what they needed. The chef even took time out of the kitchen to come and talk to the kids about their meals. Efficient friendly wait staff. Very cheap meals too! Everyone there went above and beyond which made our night thoroughly enjoyable. Would recommend this place to everyone.

Always a fun night out on a Friday or Saturday. Get in at the right time and you'll get to see the awesome Snack Attack playing on stage. Order a Blue Waterfall if you want to try something different (or if you're a pyromaniac!)

It's a good night out with friends, fun atmosphere with live music occasionally. But the bartenders are hit and miss. I've ordered cocktails from the menu they have on site at the bar and 2 out of 3 times the bartender had no idea how to make it. What type of bar doesn't make sure that it's employees know how to make what's on there menu! And the one bartender that would know how to make it would get angry that I asked for a drink off their menu! So I would get a clumsily made cocktail, that would take 20 minutes to make and cold stares from the bartenders. It feels like this bar just wants you to stick to beer and vodka red bull but has a menu for show. It's such a weird combination.

It was a good place to meet new people. Every week there's an event called "language exchange" in which people from all around the world get together to practice different language with native speakers. I think it's every thursday from 6pm. Beer and wine was good and not so expensive given the fact this place is located in a fancy bar inside melbourne central. Loved the individual pizzas. Coming back for sure.

Not a pub to go to on a date or to impress but the staff are great and the booze is fairly cheap (for the city)... you could do much worse for a local. Food is good but expensive.... on the other hand the servings are huge. Been going for years and haven't had anything to complain about. They play sports on several tv's and if you're polite you can ask for whatever game you like. Big sports events are often put on the Big screen and turned up loud. With many pubs going under and being replaced by craft beer bars and expensive clique joints, the lions great to hang out and have an uncomplicated jug of beer relaxing and watching some footy with your mates. Booths and outside tables are also available, by outside I mean outside the pub but still inside mc. Thumbs up from me.

The DJ's really don't know what they are doing. The songs are just bad. The bar is the best part about this place. They have good drinks. But isn't the cheapest place in Melbourne central. But it is a must try. Just avoid it during the peak nights. This place get ridiculously crowded

If you're Latin, or like Tequila, Lion Hotel on Thursdays is great. Bouncers aren't particularly friendly, but will take care of you if you need help. Cheap drinks, two bars and dance floors, and a whole lot of fun.
