D. S.Booked Xmas lunch with the family without expecting too much given the price per head was very reasonable compared to other venues. Staff were super attentive and from the time we arrived it showed that there is great management and staff training. Excellent day, great vibe in the room, food abundant to the point of excess but overall one of the best experiences eating out. Thank you.

R.Had a special boys’ lunch there recently. Service was friendly and attentive. The steaks were very good. The bar area gradually filled with people wandering in from the park etc. Great friendly atmosphere. I felt proud taking an interstate guest there.

N. C.My review relates to a visit to the dining restaurant area of the hotel. The waitress, Andrea, took special care of a friend and I with attentive service and kindness. She went out of her way to ensure we had a great dining experience. We had an amazing pavlova dish from an excellent chef in the kitchen. The food has been very good and the ambience friendly, with a ‘no pressure’ feeling. I recommend giving the hotel a try. A break from the hurly-burly of the city.

Was greeted upon arrival by a nice gentlemen. Quick service, had drinks and food come out earlier than anticipated. Both satisfying. Presentation was neat and clean. Cannot complain!

B. F.Steaks were great however we were disappointed that each time we ordered something we were told it was sold out. Oysters, beef pie, scotch fillet. Couldn’t even get a coffee as they were out of milk.
H. T.Loving this classic Melbourne pub located just minutes from Middle Park beach that utilised contactless ordering. The Australian Venue Co app allows you to order and pay on your mobile, as well as earn rewards for every dollar you spend.

That sticky toffee pudding was the best I’ve eaten yet, the toffee sauce was amazing. The grilled haloumi with watermelon cubes were such a great combo and so refreshing. The bone marrow has great texture with the crumbs that was on it.
We were seated outdoor but then the weather turned grey and had a massive pour down, so we had to rush inside. The waiter waited our table was so lovely and offered if they could remake the food as it got rained on. We were very impressed with their service level. It was impeccable and all the food were delicious.
Highly recommended this pub to everyone! Definitely coming back here again!

Was one of those meals where you’re tasting something different with every bite, reminds me of that ratatouille scene when Remy tries all those different foods and experiences so much delight from it. Chips were also delicious.

K. S.First time at this venue and I wasn’t disappointed. My friend and I ordered the wagyu vs wagyu and it was incredibly well cooked. Absolutely delicious! The online ordering system is very efficient and easy to use. We were there during the happy hour, the waiting times for food and drinks were quite reasonable considering how busy it was and the quality was on point! I will be definitely coming back!

P.Good location, perfect place for a beer in the afternoon. Huge variety of craft beers and draught. Overall worth a visit. Large bar and extensive restaurant. Many TVs to watch the footy on and fairly priced drinks. The food cost a pretty penny however delivered in quality. Bar was neat and tidy, no loud overwhelming music just enough to create an atmosphere that encourages discussion. If you like being able to have a chat over drinks/ lunch with your mates, this is your place! Overall an excellent experience but if looking to save money, not your first choice.

P. G.One of my favourite pubs in Melbourne. Service is always warm, friendly, and attentive. Great location, near both Albert Park Lake and Middle Park Beach.
Last night (first post-lockdown dining experience) had the porterhouse steak which was cooked to perfection.
The team members took their COVIDSafe responsibilities seriously. When we sat down they explained mask protocol, and how to use the QR to 'sign in' and order. (Love the Mr Yum ordering process. EVERY pub should have this.) The table, which was clearly already clean was resanitised. Probably for reassurance - a bit of theatre, really, but a great touch.
B. H.The venue was nice. Definitely suitable for casual drinks or dinner. The staff members were friendly and hospitable. Drinks were reasonably priced, though the food was aggressively overpriced for what it is, unless you're eating the special for the day. Overall, I would return, though probably only for drinks and nibbles.

Our room was comfortable, clean, well presented and very reasonably priced. We enjoyed a bottle of red and a beautifully cooked steak here and the breakfast was also very nice the following day. K. F.A friend recommended this pub to me as I was traveling to Melbourne from Sydney with a group of friends. It was such a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere to walk into on a winters Melbourne day and we found some couches near the fireplace to sit. Unfortunately the power went off a little while into our stay, but to be honest we hardly noticed as we were sitting by the fire anyway! The staff were lovely and apologetic about the power going off so can’t complain and I can’t wait to return on my next visit. :)

Room wasn't fully cleaned and sorted when we got there. There were a few items that we expected to be in our room which weren't. Bed was comfortable. Powerpoints under each side of the bed. Great shower with lots of room. All in all, a great experience and great value for money.

S. A.We go to the Middle Park Hotel quite a lot for week day food and drinks and it’s great. They have a good selection of week night specials.
However not too sure about the roast they do on a Sunday, I’m very much a fan of a traditional roast with all the trimmings. E.g Meat, 4 veg, Yorkshire pudding and Garvy. But for some reason they put a geek salad on top of the meat which is the strangest thing and doesn’t work with the gravy!

Between the four of us, we ordered a parma, the fish and chips, a steak, and the bangers & mash. They were all really good, except the steak was firm; if you like it juicy, order it "rare" rather than "medium rare". But this is a tiny thing, and The Middle Park Hotel is highly recommended, especially for groups.

The service staff at the reception were very accommodating and friendly. The price was great for our budget. It's the best kept boutique hotel secret in Melbourne.
Q. M.In my experience, pub meals are pub meals (especially when dining as a vegetarian), but Middle Park Hotel is something special. The menu was recently revamped and is gorgeous, featuring refined takes on pub classics. I absolutely loved the halloumi starter, which was complemented perfectly with pressed watermelon. For my main, I tried the filling but very fresh roasted vegetable and quinoa salad with a delicious pumpkin spread.
If you like dogs, you’ll love this place as pups are not just welcome but treated with complimentary “puppy parkas”. It also has some stunning interior design featuring wicker furniture and marble and jewel tones that blend the aesthetics of old and new.

V.Enjoyed a one night stay and was upgraded without request, which I greatly appreciated. Room 108, a corner room, was very comfortable and spacious with high ceilings. The large, modern bathroom included a claw-foot bathtub and double shower. Replacing the cheap, small broken bins in the room and a good steam clean of the carpets would improve the experience. The included basic breakfast is held in a beautiful room. It would greatly improve the quality of the experience if the so, so, urn coffee was replaced with real barista style coffee. The lunch main meals of chicken parma and fish and chips purchased at the bar were very enjoyable. Overall a nice experience in a great location with friendly staff.

Easily accessible to taxi from the hotel. Good location across the road from the tram system between St Kilda and the city.

The down side is the fact coming from the UK after a 23 hour long flight booking with months notice I don't expect to be a week in the very last room with zero view and no place to eat my food. Middle park hotel is famous for its pub but needs a serious update on the furniture everything is extremely old its not appealing to take a seat and relax. This is what I have experienced for my first visit to Australia hope you do take in consideration and improve in business.

L. H.The rooms are stylish and comfortable. I recommend starting in room 207 as it has a separate bedroom and bathroom with a bath. View of the city through the bay window. Classic prints of Rennie Ellis photos from the seventies. The breakfast included with our stay was a Continental buffet. We have stayed here four times now. The run or walk around Albert Park lake is always refreshing.

A. M.The room was booked online through an agent as a deluxe package. However, at check in the receptionist advised the booking was only for a standard package. This was brought to their attention but the hotel staff on duty at the time of check in stated there was nothing more that could be done. The description online of the room package booked was very different to the room I was allocated... different in that the room provided was much smaller... much much smaller.
