Was exactly what we were looking for in terms of fantastic pub grub. We came on a fairly busy weekday afternoon. It appeared they were short staffed, but this didn't mean their service suffered. In fact, it appears the attentive owner was actually serving and doing the waiting himself! He even acted as a semi-sommelier, recommending a really lovely Sangiovese to go with our steak. We were so happy to see a lively venue with great service in our stomping grounds! Bonus if the weather is warm, as they have set up a "Pub in the Park" right out front too.

This, so far, is my favourite bar in Melbourne. There is plenty of seating inside, and spread out (which is good in these times). Not only that they have a large outdoor space. There is a good beer selection on offer. The food is amazing. In winter they have a great roast dinner. The staff are all friendly, and very knowledgeable about the menu and beers on tap, and offer good recommendations.

Loved the outdoor park dining and sippers (especially being dog friendly). Calamari was beautiful and tender, staff were fantastic but the peppercorn sauce served over our schnitzels was a big fail. Ruined the whole dish. Serve it on the side in a gravy boat or better still offer a mushroom sauce or gravy and we would be rapt. Will def return just won’t order that again.

Awesome spot with great food (the potato cakes 👌🏽), great music (the duo of boys who take requests 👌🏽), and lovely and hardworking staff. Keep up the good work! The pub in the park is a highlight.

Really lovely outside area for sunny days outside the pub across the road! The vegetarian Parma was absolutely delicious!! Cocktails were really delicious as well. Service was just a bit slow and waited a while for things and some items were forgotten.

Had a Xmas function for 20 here. Great location, finger food we had as part of the package was very tasty and very generous pp (oysters, calamari, home made sausage rolls, potato cakes and chicken). Will definitely be back.

Popped in for a beer and some food after a nearby bouldering session. Lovely staff, great Parma, + Balter XPA on tap!! Props to the barman and chef for cooking for us a little later than kitchen being officially closed -- very nice gesture. Will visit again for sure. (And only 1.9 km)

5 adults and 2 children went for lunch today. Never ever have every single person in the group enjoyed their meal so much. From the more than tasty perfectly cooked roasts, to the alacarte choices, right down to the kids chicken nuggets. Everyone cleared their plates. Staff were brilliant. Very very very good. Highly recommend.

1. We went back on a Monday to try the "Pub Classics". After we had run the dog, we went to the North Port for lunch at about 1400hrs. As would be expected , there were only a couple of people in the front bar. Having the opportunity to look around the bar when empty just reinforced , for me, how well the past refurbishment had been done and how nicely finished it all was. We had the hamburger and fish and chips, not normal menu items for us, and they were very nice and tasty - and the "special" price made them good value for money. The lone barman was friendly, engaging and helpful. More people came in later during the afternoon. We had a great afternoon chatting and drinking too much and went home on the tram.! It all was a nice way to do it. 2.We have been to the North Port pub twice, on a Saturday and Sunday a week apart, for the roast. The pub location is great, for us anyway. We can tram it there with our dog, run him on the adjacent leash free park alongside the 109 tram line and then he can come in to the front bar of the pub and sleep under the table while we have lunch. The roast is not traditional as there is no Yorkshire pudding, brown gravy or cauliflower and broccoli . My wife really likes it but I am a bit indifferent. At $25 it just value for money, although the serving is generous. I think that this is a peoples pub with kids, ladies groups, horse gamblers, footy friends etc., there on the two occasions we visited. So, it has a comfortable atmosphere. It is quite a different feel to the more upmarket pub directly opposite across the tram line. The facility is clean and tidy and well presented. We are going back again during the week to try the "Pub Classics," specials between 12 and 4pm. I have deliberately not offered a view on the service as the jury is still out and I see that other reviewers have found the service to be very good.

Quiet, decent recently refurbished local bar. Decent menu. Surround by nice parklands. tv screens for watching sport. If you're close to the area walk down for a beer to have a look staff are friendly and accommodating. Very close to another well known watering hole. I don't think you can really complain and of you do I think your advice and recommendations will be taken on board with a smile. I will be back again soon for sure.

Had a sensational meal at the North Port last night. Have enjoyed a few cheeky afternoon bevies over the last few months so decided to try it out for dinner. Didn’t regret it. We had the lamb and seafood paella and they twisted our rubber arms to have dessert. Sticky date pudding and rhubarb crumble finished off a great night. We always share food and they played it up separately, which we loved and laughed at. Defo kid friendly as there were a few there last night and they looked to be enjoying themselves. Great local pub. Enjoy!

This is one of the best, old school, pubs in Melbourne. Loads of space for the footy....or golf....or rugby and the food is top notch. The landlords listen to the locals and the food gets better and better. Great pub quiz and a menu to cover every taste. Get in and say g’day to Shaun, Sean and Sarah - it’s brilliant.

North Port Hotel was the Albion Hotel and has been renamed.It is situated near North Port light rail station and has a varied menu at reasonable prices.Would recomend a visit.
