Big lovely venue and convenient location. We were given a large table inside the private dining room because the main room was quite full. House red wine is $6 for a small pour at happy hour, and I was offered a taste before buying, so that was nice. $22 rump steak was not so good, out of four people who ordered it, only one person was satisfied. Another person had to send hers back into the kitchen because it was too tough! The rump itself is a lean cut so it makes sense that it will be chewier than others, however at the price we paid it was not really good at all. Salad was good and enjoyed the bernaise sauce. Service was friendly and efficient. Apparently the $18 Parma was decent, said the people in our group who ordered it.

I hosted a 30th here and the event staff were a treat to deal with - very helpful and responsive! I highly recommend the Prahran Hotel for events. We also returned for dinner and had a great meal in the window booths - a cool place for a date night and night out with mates. Just off Chapel street, so it’s a bit quieter from the mania too.

Great atmosphere, great food and friendly helpful staff. A small group of friends and I spent a very relaxed and entertaining Saturday afternoon here. Started in one of the booths out the back near the courtyard (great spot), and then relocated to a table in front of a TV to watch the Tennis final. Nothing was an issue, and more than willing to accommodate us. This is place will become my new local. Highly recommend and I will definitely be back.

Picked the Prahran Hotel because I wanted to have a very good Parma, and a very good Parma is what I got, it was delicious, with equal parts cheesy and saucy. Service was friendly, and really enjoyed sitting upstairs. Street parking wasn’t a problem, Will defs be coming back!

Held a community function in the Private Dining Room at relatively short notice. Staff at Head Office were extremely accommodating of our needs and nothing was too much trouble; Ashleigh was both friendly and professional. At the venue the manager was very flexible and helpful and on the night, Reneé was very efficient and friendly. Food was shared platters and quite filling - maybe more potatoes ?? Lamb shoulder to die for.

Ordered the steak deal and received slices of lamb. Waitress spilled a drink all over hubby's trousers. Not a good look for a bloke. Once if the staff spilled a drink on a customer it got replaced. We will try else where.

A great restaurant and bar with welcoming staff located very close to Chapel street and easily accessible via public transport. They have a good range of beer, wine and cocktails. The food is freshly made and good quality and yum. Very well renovated and designed interior with a blend of old fashion and modern concepts which kept the building’s character. Wood burn fire place is a cherry on top in cold and rainy days. Definitely recommended to catchup with friends and family.

Bit disappointed with the service through the online ordering system. Forgetting certain orders, resulting in some members of my group receiving no food or drink, while others were served promptly. The lost food of Babylon was brought out far too late as everyone else had already eaten, and only appeared once we informed them of our paid missing items. Their acknowledge of the issue was also somewhat blasé, like it happens often. Hopefully they can improve upon the logistics of delivering a parma and coke. Other than that the exterior and interior design and atmosphere is fantastic and the food and drinks are delicious once you get your hands on them.

The venue itself is well presented but after eating here a couple of times the food is certainly over-priced. As an example $22 for a cheeseburger (that I had to reassemble) is a bit disappointing. I could only recommend having a couple of drinks here and saving dinner for elsewhere.

Rarely inclined to post reviews online - in fact, I think this might be my first time - but was just blown away by the service of one young bartender there in particular (either Dec or Dac, I'm sorry if I didn't get it right if you're reading this). He was knowledgable, courteous and above all, had our best interests at heart the whole time. Add a great variety of beers on tap and high quality food and you've got yourself a winning combo.

Went to Prahran Hotel last night to enjoy the steak/parma night where we chose to sit at an unreserved round window table. Was later told that unfortunately there had been a mistake and the table was reserved. The manager found us a new table and got us round of drinks for our inconvenience. 10/10 Parahan Hotel!!! Lovely & very hospitable staff! A lovely girl called Taylor served me and my colleges for duration that we were there and she was one of the best bartenders I have ever encountered. Here ability to engage with the patrons & people skills are sensational. Not to mention the designs within this venue are absolutely amazing. I highly regiment this venue to a to be that is foreign to the area and is after a good cheap deal with the up most respect and consideration coming from the staff members at this establishment! Partner and I have been frequenting Prahran Hotel for some time now, but last night was our first time returning since the changes with COVID-19. We wish to pass on our deepest thanks and appreciation for the level of professionalism, and kindness from each and every staff member who we encountered. Social distancing practices were managed wonderfully, and didn't detract from the experience whatsoever. Food and beverage were spot on as always, and the addition of table service brought a welcome change. Thank you to all who made our evening nothing short of perfect, and reminding us why Prahran Hotel is one of our favourite locals.

The pub quiz is a good night. The bar staff are all good except one who is always moody. The food, unfortunately, in my opinion was very average. Would recommend for a drink as the place itself is nice.

I've lived down the road a few years and never went in. From the outside it looks like the usual run down pub. So when my friend issued a call to action, I journeyed to this establishment. Initial inspections be damned, the interior is something to behold. Impressive architecture and a great build quality. Food was also magnificent, but the cocktail menu could use a little bit more flair. It is Prahran after all! Definitely worthy of a visit.

I was having a jolly ole time and was really enjoying the place! And it was happy hour which meant $7/pint woohoo. We got our first rounds and then I thought, might as well get a jug since we had glasses on the table already. Now, the jug of the same beer was $26. When poured, it came to less than two pints. I don’t want to sound cheap, but not gonna lie I was fuming for a while 😂 The bar guy knew I was sharing with one other person so I wish he had told me.

This is a great spot to have a meal and some drinks with your mates. I’d highly recommend putting in a reservation if you have over 6 people in your group because the PH can get quite busy around lunch and dinner. They have a great selection of beers on draft and quality liquor behind the bar. They should be able to accommodate most people but it’s nothing too over the top either. Footy snd sports only available around the bar areas. The food is good enough yet overpriced. It’s maybe slightly better than the stuff you’d grab for lunch near your office but it definitely nothing to write home about, hence the 4-star review. Besides the average food options, this is a great spot tucked away in Prahran. I will be back again!

Excellent drinking hole. They have specials and happy hours several times a week, both on food and drink. Staff are friendly and helpful. The bar and dining areas are bigger than you think with a few outdoor seating options also. Closed on Monday.

Tom was our host for the evening, and supplied our team with a mixture of both good humour and charm. This place has a great modern design yet still has a local pub feel. We had a Parma and a steak on Parma and steak night and they were delicious as well as being well priced. It's mostly a 30 something crowd but oldies didn't feel out of place or in any way unwelcome. We'll book next time as it gets busy early.

Awesome! Jaw-dropping interior layout that will impress first time visitors. Varied menu with nice dishes. The only slightly annoying thing is the football broadcast - commentary is often broadcast through the venue when music might be preferred for the (probably minority) group of people that don't want to hear the footy.

The crowd here (hence the atmosphere), at least on a friday, was sterile. A bunch of guys that all dress the same. and no real appeal to the place, at least for my tastes. Maybe there was a couple of parties on that night of a big group of boring friends, and it was not an average night? But I did consume some of the food, and wow, hopefully just another off night, as the meat was dry. But thats just my opinion, as I like my pubs with character and a bit of grit, and personality.

the Parma, chips and 'dressed leaves' were the best i have had.... so damn good no joke! was $23 where at some places you can get a parma and a beer for less, but man it was so worth it, then i found out that on wednesdays its $15! ill be there. if you have not had a parma where the salad was perfectly dressed and a little sweet and thought through in conjunction with the parma and the great chips, then yeah its really good and you should try it. and to PH, people do appreciate respect and pay $23 for good quality ingredients and well thought out dishes.
