Most country pub meals are pretty standard so what a very pleasant surprise to find sensational food in this delightful pub in Birregurra’s Main Street. New owners have completed an enormous Reno and found an inspiring chef. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and the place is humming with locals and visitors. We had the Japanese oysters which were outstanding. The Taste of the Sea looked spectacular and was delicious. The whole fish was beautiful too. Plenty of other tempting sounding dishes to bring us back to try another day. The courtyard is a great space and I loved little details like the hops being trained as shade cover. A nod to Aussie beer making. This area will become even better as the plants mature. Loved the original art in the dining room. Loved it all.

We were recommended by Doug from the Forrest Brewery to check out this Pub and we were not disappointed. We sat out in the beer garden and had some drinks and dinner and it was just gorgeous. Lovely service from the staff and tasty, well priced food :)

A place beautifully renovated with great food in a great location! We visited the The Royal Mail Hotel with our family of 4 on a nice warm night. One of the better meals I've had in quite a while. Lovely and attentive staff. We had oysters as a starter then steak and rainbow trout (special) for the mains and couldn't fault any of it. Will definitely return

A great country pub with amazing food and service. Definitely worth a day trip to Birregurra for a visit. The renovation is spectacular. Will definitely be back to sip a few drinks in the courtyard this Summer!

We have now eaten here three times and the food is sensational, as is the hotel renovation. The menu and wine list are thoughtful and great value. The Taste of the Sea and the Spaghetti Marinara are highly recommended.

I'm kind of a local ..I drive in from Lorne as the RMH is absolutely brilliant. The food is exceptional and well beyond simple pub grub. Newly renovated and has hit the bulleye with style and ambiance. Always great service and a killer Aussie courtyard beer garden. Well worth going out of your way to visit ..a real destination pub. 10/10

Food is great but it's a bit odd being shown to your linen covered table by your lovely host then to be told that you need to stand in line at the bar to order food and drinks. It takes longer to order food than to cook it! It would be a much better experience if orders were taken at your table

The renovation was worth the wait! The newly re-opened Birregurra pub has undergone a major transformation and is back and better than ever! Beer is cold, food is on point and the space is absolutely gorgeous, what more could you ask for? We will be back for sure! Keep up the good work guys!!!

Typical pub feast. Nothing spectacular. The fish was of a good size but a little overcooked. The lamb rack was nice and on a par with most hotel meals. I would try something different on the next visit.

Recently renovated and beautifully presented, The newly re opened Royal Mail Hotel Birregurra was a breath of fresh air in a time we feel as though we have been chocked by lockdowns and restrictions. The new publicans were very friendly and welcomed us as though we were old regulars. The new decor was only surpassed by the beautiful food from their well priced and thoughtful menu. We will be back again.. And again

Warm welcoming staff, really accommodating towards our energetic kids giving us colouring pens and paper, chalk to draw on the outside concrete. The food was excellent! Large portions, fresh and tasty at a reasonable price. We are so glad we ignored the bad reviews and made up our own mind as it was a 10/10 experience and highly recommend. This is a great local pub . Food was fresh but a little on the pricey side and it did take a little longer than expected.. Its located right in the middle of the main street with plenty of parking. We missed out on the Sunday roast special but it did look amazing went brought out to the table next to us.

Went during the Birregurra festival. Ordered cheeseburger with fries to share which was good. Wine at the table was served in a plastic cup. A friend's coffee was served in a paper cup. Informed that they couldn't serve in a glass or cup even though water at the table was accompanied by glassware. The bill was reduced following complaints. Not the fault of the waiter.
