It has been some time since we have been to Siglo and it was great to enjoy the atmosphere, views and great service. We miss the sausage rolls and other snacks as it is now a cigar bar however it does not take away from the great cocktails and wine. A must visit before or after dinner in the top end of town.

Location is the USP here...But you got to reach like 4:30-4:45 in the evening if you would like to have a table with magnificent views of Parliament and Cathedral since they don't take bookings...We couldn't get there on time as many have said it is hard to find since there is 1 small door facing Parliament that lets you into the haven called Siglo...They have one of the most exhaustive list of drinks you can find in any pub (pity I couldn't take a pic) and I didn't find them too pricey as people have mentioned earlier...We didn't start well with some minor mistakes from service side but true characters come out when things go wrong...they owned up to it which usually doesn't happen now a days...I usually do not put my own pictures but so delighted with the Service we got from one particular kind soul called Will, I am compelled to...The knowledge, The Courtesy, The Service with Smile that passes through the eyes even with masks on...Mate You made our Day...Thank You and Will See you Soon.

Crowded wine bar where favorites are made on the sit down list. Great option for their license which allows them to close at 3am. Customers who urinate on the floor in the bathrooms as drunk as they are and waiters who cannot open a bottle with natural cork. 2 stars review till now but you deserved 4 stars for Harry Belafonte put to maximum volume to chase away customers who ignored the waiters about the imminent closure of the place. I understand you. Stay strong.

Great service, however subpar cigars at this time (2021). Very dry cubans, many re-lights, barely any draw. Wait staff were very attentive so absolutely not their fault. However, their humidor clearly needs attending to.

Great service and a beautiful location opposite Parliament House. The staff were very knowledgeable and very helpful. We were recommended a soft and hard cheese and were very happy with what we received. Hard to spot due to minimal (no) street signage but definitely a hidden gem.

The entrance at ground level is secluded but the place looks superb once you step inside. It is an excellent place to sit back, relax, and have drinks with friends. I would definitely make more time to go to this rooftop bar.

I’ve travelled the world and seen a number of places like this. Firstly you have to have the nouse to find it because there is no sign, no street number, just an innocuous door. This can be somewhat embarrassing to ask people dining outside “do you know where Siglo’s is?” Of course once inside, you’re not part of the smug group that is in on the secret of this place. We walked up 3 flights of stairs to the rooftop bar. Here on an autumnal evening the spite of St Paul’s Cathedral and the lights of the theatre below give a somewhat haunting but pleasant ambience to this space. I was surrounded by the ‘beautiful people’ of Melbourne who come here looking dashing and stunning either from work or going out to dinner or even the theatre. Around me is a haven of tables and chairs but also lounges where people laid back relaxed Ike they were at home. The lighting is dim really only lit by the gas upright heaters that keep the nip in the air away. We had two gin and tonics and frankly they were weak and too much ice. Found the staff very helpful and service was fast. Sometimes a little too fast as they whisked away my drink before I’d finished. If you don’t like cigarettes and cigars - don’t come. Siglo is known for its cigar menu and although at first the smell had me back in Havana alas it became overwhelming so we left. On our way down I noticed how lovely the other floors are with big red couches and clever lighting. All filled with more beautiful people. There is tasty food I believe but we didn’t get to try it. Perhaps another day on another level. This place is not wheelchair friendly, kid friendly, pram friendly or stroller friendly. Parking is atrocious just because it’s Melbourne. However public transport is excellent. Toilets could do with a more regular clean during busy periods. Summary: well worth a visit if. I thing more than to remember what a cigar smells like and to watch the type of people that come here. Only took one photo- too intimidated to take any more.

Definitely a hidden gem. Took some effort to find the entrance but definitely worth it. Service is a little slow but the atmosphere excuses it. The smell of cigars and great wine makes it feel like you're in a European bar from the 20s. Highly recommend

Transformed me back to Europe, loved it! Beautiful venue, nice music and good cocktail menu. Do note it is famous for cigars, so wouldn't recommend it if you can't stand the smell of smoke. As although it is outside the cigar smell is quite strong and therefor present.

A charming wine bar that transports you to Paris or Rome with its quintessential European outdoor/rooftop feels. The view furthers this impression because you have lovely views of Parliament and a cathedral. Perfect pre or post dinner spot. Highly attentive staff will cater to you swiftly with a great wine list. If you are smoker, this is one of the few places where you can smoke cigars... One disappointment was the snack menu. We ordered some olives that arrived in an aeroplane style vacuum pack...which was not in fitting with the ambience.

Another great night at Siglo, a local favourite of mine, with close friends to catch-up, enjoy some drinks a fine cigar all under a beautiful Melbourne night sky. After a meal out in the city, one of my favourite late night spots is Siglo, rooftop bar at the Supper Club. Tonight we had to wait a few minutes (COVID impacts on capacity), but were then cordially escorted to an indoor spot by the bar to wait for our outdoor table. Pretty soon we were drinking the superb Old Fashioned (with Makers bourbon) and enjoying some Cubans. There was some waiting to get attention, but staff were very helpful, and delivery was swift. We didn't eat tonight, but do highly recommend Siglo for a nightcap or more.

Missing the way it was pre-COVID, but hopefully it'll get back to the way it was. Cigars and views. Whilst there is a great range of drinks on offer and the views of spring street are magnificent, so many come here for the cigars. Buy them here or bring your own. Staff are amazing but this place can be busy so prepare for a little wait and chill by the bar. I still love the entrance which is very Melbourne, very secret and very cool!

Very nice atmosphere, great selection of drinks and cigars. I've had some problems with some staff not attending the table to take more drink orders and being a bit slack. But other staff are world class servers. Seems to bit some issues hiring enough quality staff. If you get a bad server, don't be afraid to tell them! They pickup the service quality straight away.

Firstly, thanks to Siglo management for accommodating a disabled individual first and foremost! Secondly, the five stars I'm giving you in my experience isn't enough stars! The exceptional service we received during my visit was well above my expectations. I was tended too regularly and had drinks on the table by exceptional bar staff quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed the 1962, and 1963 Armagnac's which paired nicely with my Bolivar cigar. My friend had a Laphroaig 27 year old which made his night. Combined, we were taken on a magical journey! Thank you for accommodating us and making sure or night was special and memorable. Siglo is a special place and is worthy of a visit if you've never been.

Love this bar. Need to dress up a bit for it but that's okay. This place got me into cigars and the atmosphere is fantastic. Good variety of drinks and the staff are super friendly. You can sit inside downstairs or go upstairs to the outside area and smoke. When ordering a cigar they bring it out to you and light it for you. Definitely worth going to before going out or to wind down in the early morning after going out.

Great little hidden gem of a rooftop bar - and the perfect place for a drink on a sunny afternoon. I wish they’d separate the smokers from the non-smokers though - I get that it’s a cigar bar, but I’d say smokers are a minority at this point and cigar smoke in particular can be pretty obtrusive.

This is great for people looking for a less crowded roof top bar. Hidden from the street, people are less likely to find this gem. The only down side was service, the staff were nice, but incredibly slow. We considered getting our drinks from the bar ourselves. It's still 10 times better for any demographic. (Even families)

Beautiful location but with weird staff. We were welcomed by the bar staff friendly but our waitress was unfriendly and not welcoming at all. She look like the supervisor with her grey jacket. She gave us just one menu, small things but they matter. Staff in general seems boring and no personality.

A fantastic institution with great staff and a great vibe. It gets cold up there at times but it sure is worth it. I wish the government would allow places like Siglo to serve a full meal with smoking. Smoking a cigar/s especially in Australia with our obnoxious tax is more often than not a rare treat or something enjoy by people whom are not going to put pressure on the health system. Stop babying grown adults who are well aware of their life choices. Highly recommend Siglo :)

A favourite for business, arts and hospitality crowds, frequented by groups or couples escaping the night. I'm sure there is much more this venue offers, I look forward to discovering it.

A beautiful bar that should stay hidden. I'd rather the place be like the real platform 9 3/4 where you can't enter. At least it doesn't pilfer your account heavily your stock standard drinks. I dunno what's worse, the suited up clientele or the bar staff that clearly have a 1970s rugby league mullet yet the snooty attitude of an outspoken year 12 student from Melbourne girls grammar. Perfect place for a date if you didn't plan on having a second. 5 stars

Hidden behind a nondescript door, this rooftop bar is a great escape for an evening drink with friends. A little patch of the Melbourne skyline is a bit of a bonus. There is a quieter lounge area downstairs if a bottle of wine with some nibbles is more your scene.

Spent the night at siglo last night, Beautiful cocktails and cigars but unfortunately the worst service we have received in Melbourne so far. Waitress did not return to the table to offer us more drinks and we had to wave her down every time. She seemed to have a bit of attitude towards us. For somewhere this expensive I would expect better service.

Look for the address at the top of the door. The door will lead up to two business. They only serve cigars, liquor, and small snacks. It was a little chilly, but they had their heaters going which warmed us up. We where going off an old review, and only went there for food and drinks. The staff informed us that the restaurant on the 2nd floor, The Melbourne Supper Club, served food.

The only bad thing I can say about the place, is that the first time I came here, the staff acted as though it was an inconvenience that a customer had arrived; The service was ridiculously slow, and it was like pulling teeth to get the bill?! This was even after I "inconvenienced" them in the beginning of the night by purchasing a Siglo lighter and Multi-size cigar punch... Anyhow, I decided to return again and everything was excellent including the service! I've been back several times since and have zero complaints, I guess the first time was a fluke.

We do a yearly Christmas lunch there and there is just nothing to complain about. The food is just fantastic and we'll presented and prepared. Our group is large and the staff handle the day fantastically well. No one felt rush and everything came out in good time. A great time every time.
