We organised a school event at the Croxton Park bistro for approx. 60 people at very short notice. The staff could not have been more accommodating in both organising the event and making sure it was a success. The venue was set up perfectly, plenty of space for all and great for kids with the playground. The staff at front of house and in the kitchen did a terrific job in getting a lot of kids fed quickly. Adults were really well looked after with great, quick bar service and a tasty pub feed. A very sincere thanks to the team at the Croxton Park Hotel. I've been here a few times but just once since February 2020. Still a great place to dine out and reasonable prices. Staff have always been good, friendly with excellent customer service and feel like they actually enjoy their work. Food has always been good and filling. Despite Vic Gov actions on covid19, the management have done very well to keep this business in operation 👏 I haven't seen live music here myself but have been told its a great venue for that as well (recent and historically). Overall: Recommended :)

Good space with a bar on either side. Good range of restaurants nearby for a meal before the show. What was disappointing was the sound mix. The treble was way overcooked and really hindered the ability to enjoy the band. I wasn't alone in standing with my fingers in my ear to partially block the sound (not because of overall volume, but because of the treble).

Reasonable pub prices, no complaints about the steaks and parmas, they were great. However, my partner and her sister ordered ravioli and it wasn't good. Pasta was like cardboard, almost raw, yet the filling was cooked - so stick to the pub grub and you'll be fine. Had no problem with the service, they were great and friendly. The furnishings are overdue for an update.

The food was very expensive, there was a lack of options and not much in the way of kids portion or kids prices. The venue is amazing. The whole waiting room part of it does make waiting for the door to open more relaxed. Inside was spacious, with the merchandise booth being at the back of the room, not obstructing patrons walking in from the sides. In terms of ventilation though, due to the ceiling being low, the people in the thick crowd infront of the stage tend to sweat easily. It is a bandroom anyway, so what's the big deal?

Saw Flogging Molly here and the space is fantastic. The sound was amazing. There was a large Carpark that was near empty on the night directly across the road and super easy to get to from Geelong. Wonderful venue. Will be back for sure.

The Croxton Park Hotel would have to be the most value for your money. It's so relaxed, comfortable, very, very family friendly, my kids ( 10 and 9 years old ) they still get a kick out of the play area. Let me continue, I haven't finished yet, it's never noisy, plenty of room to really stretch yourself out. The staff are very friendly too and the food is great. I especially love coming here on a lazy Sunday afternoon with family and friends for a catch-up, park my derriere on one of their comfy chairs next to one of my favorite relos I haven't seen for a while, having everything done for me while chatting and eating the afternoon away. Thank you guys, don't forget to save a seat for me because I'll see you very soon.☺️

Food is average and just edible. Service is poor and unfriendly. The only reason why we return is for cheap $12 weekday pub grub, and this is one of the few child friendly venues where kids can run around freely. The indoor playground is very popular with the young kids. Not recommended if you prefer peaceful environments, and looking forward to a special night out with mouth watering food.

The quality of the food is going down, not sure what changed, it was one of my favourite places. Booked a table for 17 people, got there and there was a table for only 7. I ordered a steak medium done, and I get a rubber over cooked steak with a burnt taste and so much garlic, I could still taste it the next day. My wife got salt and pepper calemari which hard to stuff up, but again it tasted so oily and the sauce was too strong.

Friendly service and a large bistro area with various seating options. There is also a play area for the kids. My wagyu burger was lean and juicy and the chips were awesome but the whole serve came across too salty. My partner ordered spinach gnocchi. They were light and fluffy and the sauce was tasty. However menu stated cherry tomatoes when all that was served was one lonely tomato cut in half. Also did not seem to have been roasted or otherwise cooked. Pots of regular beer more expensive than other venues visited.

The view of the stage is fantastic. The lighting is awesome. However, it gets extremely hot. The lady that helped me from the room to a couch said out was because of the low roof. Classic venue. Went to see Everclear and the sound was crisp, the carpet is up to the 1989 pallette standard and the whole place feels like Sound City with the artists there, the carpet, the console, the beer. I like The Croxton. It is a pub roomy enough to be a mini concert venue in the suburbs.

Bar staff efficient, always a fantastic choice of bands in the bill, excellent standing view of bands performing on stage from the elevated platforms to the left of stage. Easy access to front bar from bandroom and outside secured terrace. 11/10 experience overall.

Impressions of a band room are bound to be coloured by the band you see there; for me it was Cate Le Bon, who sounded superb. This was due to their masterful performance, but also due to the acoustics of the room itself. Lighting was great and the venues setup allows for bigger, more theatrical shows. With a bar to the left and right the place has all the essentials. If only the choice of reds matched that of beers.

heaps of amazing live acts on a regular basis. been here a few times this year and always have a good time. beer a little bit overpriced, make sure if youre from nsw you ask for the right beer. i was given a funmy look when asked for a pint but in the end we all understood each other and i wet my whistle so i was a happy boy. definetly will go again next time a gigs on - very intimate and always fun.

Probably one of my favourite venues to see live music. Excellent sound and a very large stage. You get an excellent view of the band virtually anywhere you stand. The staff are friendly, there's cloak service, there's car park access and there is a good selection of beers. It's also really easy to get a beer as they have bars on both sides of the room. There aren't any annoying pillars in the way which is always a bonus. Access is great and really easy to get in and out at the start and end of gigs. The only negative aspect would be that there was a lot of broken glass when we went there a couple of months ago which can be a potential hazard.
