Nice venue. The staff were friendly. A bit disappointing so much food goes to waste not allowing people to takeaway. Catering for a party is particularly expensive too. So much waste! But about the good things, the food was delicious. The meats and cheeses and then later the sundae bar. Good to have parking close by too. Usually at a city venue it's tricky to find parking. Next door, $10. Pretty good. It was nice to have a sectioned off area to celebrate.

My fiancée and I held our engagement party at The Mint last weekend and had such a fantastic experience. The venue was perfect for our cocktail -style event with the outdoor deck and beer garden having plenty of seating and a lovely ambience with a backdrop of greenery and sweet fairy lights. In the lead up to the event, the functions manager was very accommodating and friendly. On the night, all of our guests absolutely loved the venue and the service was great.

There were a out 17 of us who went to grab a team lunch on a Monday afternoon. Since it was a large group and the restaurant didn't want us to wait after we ordered our food, they made sure we placed a preorder with individual food orders so thay we didn't have to wait. Service was very good and the taste of the food was very good too. As you can see from the pictures, presentation was top class as well. Really enjoyed the ambience and the quality of food. Highly recommend for your next visit.

An overall nice place, friendly staff, and decent food. I visited The Mint for lunch and decided to try a few items on the menu. The prices are a tad high for what id call pub style food, but this is to be expected given its city location. The food itself was good, but nothing really stood out to me. So overall this is a nice location, and pretty standard food.

Met a couple of old friends here for lunch and was greeted by a friendly smile on entry - good start. The server read out the day's specials as we couldn't see the board before taking our orders ahead of the lunchtime crowd. My confit duck leg was sweet and tender. With almond and parsnip puree, Madeira jus, orange and thyme breadcrumbs and a couple of broccolini, the succulent poultry was beautifully paired with the scrumptious mash. My friends also enjoyed their braised beef and mushroom pie and the enormous chicken parmigiana. Staff were accommodating and offered to swap my friend's chips for salad when he detected the disinclination for oil and carbs. Comfortable, spacious seating with light streaming through the windows gave this space a pleasant but casual atmosphere. The outdoor beer garden looks inviting on a balmy day. This was a good experience that deserves better than the current rating average.

GOOD PLACE TO GO FOR AN AFTER WORK DRINK UPDATE 16 April 2021 With COVID restrictions now greatly eased, The Mint is again buzzing with patrons. The menu is now app based (Mr Yum) so don't forget to have your phone with you. You can order (and pay) individually or as a group. Staff are just as friendly as ever and service is pretty prompt. The bar is outdoors but under cover and has a mix of tables, benches and casual seating areas. You can buy your drinks outside at a bar at the rear or inside the main area. Some bar food also available. Its noisy! We were there on the last worknight before Easter so it was full and squishy. Wine is reasonably priced. When we went the crowd is mostly office workers.

Parma was just alright. Good size Fillet, but the breading was a bit soggy and a lack of sauce. The crunchy cheese around the edges was a nice touch and so was the smokey seasoning on the fries.

Really nice place. Brisk night was sitting outside but multiple heaters kept it reasonably comfortable. When gas ran out on one of the gas bottles it was replaced within 3 minutes without customers alerting staff, very impressed.

We had an office Christmas Party earlier this week for 75 people and I don’t think we could have picked a more perfect venue. The venue was presented well, we mainly used the deck area as well as the inside rooms and the bar and it was the perfect size for our group. Even though it was a cold Melbourne night the deck was the perfect temperature with the shutters down and heaters on. We had an acoustic musician performing on the deck which was the perfect spot. The manger Nikki did an outstanding job throughout the night. Her communication and customer service was spot on. Nothing was too much to ask. The food was delicious and the drinks were flowing all night long. Thank you to all the staff for making it a night to remember.

There are plenty of tables for a drink with friends. It has a nice, spacious, airy atmosphere providing a calm contrast to all the passing traffic. Beers and wines were easily served, but sweet sherry could not be found for "an olden-time's" drinker. More than two staff became involved in the search, giving us a giggle with tawny port accepted as a substitute.

This is a great pub for work parties. The venue is very well organised and the staff are lovely and efficient. The food was good too. There are both indoor and outdoor areas with a some separate rooms so people can choose the atmosphere they want.

In a word, perfect. We recently had our wedding at the mint, and Nikki, Gemma, Sam and the team took care of everything during our months of preparation, and kept the night running like clockwork - even when we didn't! We had the whole venue to ourselves on a Saturday night and made the most of it. The everyday pub food they serve is always very good, and it makes a decent after-work bar, but for functions they really transform the venue and step it up with the quality and flavor. The venue itself is beautiful, with a spacious outdoor beer garden complimenting the indoor dining area, and the staff are all exceedingly accommodating and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Thanks to all at The Mint for giving us such a great night!

Loved our outing there. Food was delicious and so fresh although I did have a green salad so not too difficult. HOWEVER...this is where I'd go back...the outdoor seating area had a fine mist sprayer and big fan. On the day we went it was 37 degrees. Excellent. Oh staff are fantastic too.

Recently hosted a dinner for about 40 ppl and I have to say am very impressed and the guests had a great time! It is the right place if you are thinking about functions. The staff was very friendly and professional and they delivered everything according to the plan. I already love the the garden feel and the staff put white linens and barriers and just made the dining area so cozy and beautiful! There was no single mistake with the food or drinks delivered and they kept on checking on us. The weather wasn't so pleasant as it was pouring, But with the heaters and lights were on it creates a special atmosphere and I felt it couldn't be more perfect. I didn't try the food before booking this place but apparently my guests likeDthe foodespecially those who ordered steak. The salmon I ordered however is a bit blend but I guess I was way too excited to taste anything anyway! I only had 2 options to choose from the dessert menu which is a bit limited. Overall we all had a great time. This place is just fantastic THANK YOU for making a memorable night for us! Great job guys!

Just had my wedding here on Saturday 20th and it was amazing. The venue easily catered for our 100+ guest. The food was amazing and staff were incredible. Very friendly and helpful and nothing was to much trouble for them. Our Guests just could not telling us how amazing the venue was and how good the food was and some will be going back just for normal dinner service. Would highly recommend this very for a wedding or any function. Thank you to the staff and The Mint for making our day run perfectly and smoothly and giving us the relaxing chilled out vibe we wanted.

I came year about a year and a half ago and it was good pub food, but still pub food. I don't know of they've changed chef or owner, but today I had the duck special and it was absolutely amazing. One of the best duck dishes I've ever had. The pea purée was extremely flavourful and contrasted well with the meaty, tender duck, the crispy potatoes and minted bread crumbs on top with a little bit of gravy on the side. My only niggle would be that I like my duck skin a little crispier, but other than that, it was a great pub lunch and definitely recommend it for anyone wanting a better quality Friday lunch.

Gotta say that I love this place. Its so spacious, its perfect to make a party here, yet you can just come here spend some quality time with the loved ones in a relaxing atmosphere. Lunchtime was quiet (but not empty) enough to have a conversation and enjoy the casual atmos. good value for money for city prices and the service was quite attentive without being overbearing. I love a place that you can say, "Hi I'd like a slab of fish and nice red wine." and you get a most excellent and perfectly cooked piece of Salmon and a Merlot. Yes I know red wine with fish, how dare I, but it was fantastic. the al fresco dining area looked very much like a place to go back and enjoy a frosty pint in the summer months. :)

Absolutely delicious mulled wine and chips. I've just moved to Melbourne from Sydney and was feeling quite sooky in this freezing Melbourne winter. I came here and drunk some amazing mulled wine served by friendly staff and it perked me up. I also had a bowl of chips, which I highly recommend! These are not just plain chips. They season them with salt, rosemary, and paprika, and serve them with aioli. Absolutely delicious!
