B. M.Great pub. Food was awsome, tasty and awsome portion size. Great TV screens to watch sports and staff excellent.
Stop in for a really good meal and atmosphere. Outdoor deck area is a top space..
S. C.Had to organise my work Christmas party and I picked this venue, the person I spoke to (Chris) was very accommodating and easy to work with. Had a group of 18 and they were happy to oblige, and didn’t require a deposit which sealed the deal. Full marks for customer service.
The dinner was a hit and miss depending on what we ordered; my colleagues raved about the fish tacos, however my friend and I had the porterhouse steak and while we requested medium rare, it was more medium which was disappointing.
The venue is great; plenty of space, big tv’s that was showing the cricket. Would definitely consider having another work function here.

Food was also pretty damn good. Aside from that, it's literally a staple for after the game.
P.I have to be honest, DJ Johno last night (13/3/21) was absolutely shocking he killed the dance floor vibe and didn’t look up once from his deck to check if the crowd was feeling his music. I’m sorry I really think you need to invest in a better DJ.
The live rock band was really good.

s. m.The space is über cool. The staff friendly a nice choice of beers in tap and plenty of stubbies behind the bar. We arrived early before the sport crowd. And it was relatively quiet. This soon changed but the open air courtyard more than made up for it The food looked good to but we only ordered chips. Worth a revisit, great for large groups of people.

I was here for a function and the function space provided was great, And the food options were also phenomenal.
The venue has a good balance between classic and modern pub as well as a good variety of food that is all of an amazing standard.
Amazing location, with Trams at the door step, trains a 230m walk (to the platform). MCG and Olympic Park walking distance... the list goes on.

W.Good ol Precinct is a Richmond icon, staff are pretty good overall, never had any troubles and they've always been friendly, nice and big venue, large indoor and outdoor area as well a dance floor, lots of places to sit around and also plenty of standing room as well, honestly liked it better before the renovations but its still good overall.

J. W.This place is the one stop pub for people at work finishing up the week on Friday night. As we have the "special card" of buy one drink get one free between 5 pm to 6 pm and only on Friday.
They have a few big TVs inside and at the back to watch sport games.
Their food is considerably good for a pub food. My favorite is the spicy fries.

M. S.Standard aussie pub and restaurant venue - not unique in its design and decoration, but well presented. It's clean, and offers good food and service, so that counts for a lot. Good beers on tap too. The management participates in this review section too, so it's good to see they're mindful of and open to feedback.
j.Excellent service, starting with friendly security on the door (I don't know why but it seems like every place I go to have security with a massive chip on their shoulder), so having a nice pleasant greeting was a welcome change.
The bar staff and wait staff were very friendly and the service was excellent, despite being a busy night.
It was a great atmosphere with several screens showing the game (State of Origin) and the crowd were all friendly which was likely a reflection of the atmosphere created by the venue itself.
I'll definitely be making this my go to place for pre-game, post-game and event drinks! Despite NSW losing, I still had a great night!
J. S.Lovely local with great lunch specials which change weekly and you can add a glass of vino for $5. Only bad thing is the smell of beer which is unavoidable if you need to sit inside. Very friendly staff and always a good choice for lunch or drinks during the week

J.Super busy on a Saturday night so get in early but it’s great if you want a bar experience with live sport on the big screens as well as a live band/club experience. Would recommend if you need somewhere to go on Swan street. Also free entry too which is a plus!

L. R.Have been going to Precinct on and off for a few years now and usually end up here for a few drinks if I've had dinner in the area on a Friday or Saturday night. It's a typical Melbourne bar with heaps of drinks, a few bars and is always full of people on the busy nights of the week. You'll have a good time and enjoy yourself. Good kebab shop around the corner as well if you need it... which you will ;)
K.Can get very packed when there are games on. Good meeting place pre-game. Plenty of TVs - also play NRL and Rugby Union to keep everyone happy. Good pub food. Service usually pretty quick, but can fall behind when the place is pumping.

The rest of the venue tends not to be too packed too so you can have a break/chat between dancing. Been many times and we always have a fun night at the Precinct!

B. P.I arrived at ~11pm on a Saturday night and the place was absolutely pumping! Very busy so the dancefloor and beer garden were both packed, and the music was extremely loud. I think I would have enjoyed myself a lot more with a few drinks under my belt, but in the moment I found it a bit too loud/crowded. There was a live band playing and everyone over on the DFloor seemed to be having a great time.
Y. B.Your average pub with a lot more space than usual.this place is huge and has some good entertainment. The food is what you would expect at a pub with nothing overly special but servings at pub prices. Overall a good experience.
R. S.Visited at lunch time on a Friday. They have $15 lunch special, but there are no vegan options on this. There are 2 x vegan mains, a thai curry and risotto. I got the Thai curry for $26 which came in a reasonably small portion and was very average tasting. Its only carrots, pumpkin and sweet potato in a red sauce with some rice.They add a really spicy sambal sauce (tastes like it is out of a jar).
You can upgrade the $15 lunch special to include wine or beer for an extra $3 but this isn't permitted if you spend $26 on a main (so stupid?). So I paid another $9 for house wine. All up $35 for very average lunch. Such a shame because there are so many other vegan friendly, cheaper and tastier options in the area. Won't be going back.
T. W.I'm told this place gets extremely, extremely busy. Not so, at midday during the week. The Precinct Hotel is your typical pub-style fare, with sports on the TV inside, and a cool, relaxing outdoor space with decent dècor. There is plenty of seating and space available, and it was not uncomfortable or noisy when the team and I had lunch. Reasonable pricing.
L. T.Booked a table with some friends in the courtyard for the Superbowl. The food and drinks were great. We had to pay for our seats and the view was terrible! We were at the back and we could hardly see a thing as we had people standing in front of us the whole time. Really poor value and we will not be coming back next year.
t. b.I like the layout with everything a good distance away from each other (pub, eating section, dancefloor) so nothing feels too squashed in. Got served very quickly each time I went to the bar. Did have to wait over 30 mins to get in but it was grand final day so I'll give you that. Maybe some heaters outside during the colder months for those waiting lol. I didn't really enjoy the live covers band, the DJ was way better. Food was great.

The bar had a cool American Greek fraternity theme and a live cover band which played some good Blink 182 songs and the decorations around the place added a nice touch (American flag banners, class of 2012 fraternity graduate posters). Drinks are reasonably priced and security quickly dealt with any troublemakers.

G. B.I went to the Precinct Hotel with some friends that are somewhat regulars. I wanted there to be a cloak room but wasn't open that night, so I had to dance with my bag on my back. I also happened to find a girls phone while I was there. I was able to use Siri to call her father in Queensland and get her phone back to her. I enjoyed the choice of beers on tap.
L. G.Great club with decent priced drinks! Mysic is good, most of the time. The dj needs to try to keep to a type of Music for at least 3-5 songs.. for e.g. Rnb, pop, rock.. etc.. before changing to a different type or era.

J.It's a pub/club like most others. Nothing special, sizable place and great location, near public transport. Staff are pleasant and as usual with these kinds of places, security are great or morons, touch and go each visit.

M.I’ve been coming here since it was known as the Depot. Always loved this place, usually great atmosphere and it’s a frequent stop before footy matches at the MCG and the Super Bowl event is pretty great too
