Everything is homemade, heck they even make thier own burger buns onsite each and every day!!!

A. K.The food was great. My friends have gotten their food after 30 mins but after being informed that mine is coming too I had to wait another 30. When it finally came out it was missing a 4.50 chicken add-on (even though it was still available on the ordering website) as the waiter did not point out the missing chicken I had to. He explained that the chicken was out of stock today. I had to remind him that we did pay extra for a chicken. I was offered a free beer in exchange after mentioning this. I have been waiting for that beer for the last 10 minutes.
The place doesn't seem to have front of house staff only. Everyone was in the kitchen when I checked, this can be easily avoided with having actual front of house staff.
Please make sure you give your staff access or proper training to change the item availability on the website so this can be avoided.
Please communicate to staff that when fixing mistakes by giving out compensation it should be a higher priority.

They often seems a little understaffed, so just know you might be waiting a while for your food/drink. This doesn't bother us, as we are happy to wait for quality. Just good to keep the expected wait time in mind, and maybe choose a different spot if you're in a hurry/about to go to a movie, etc
L. J.Burgers here are to die for. No other burger in the area can match the quality these guys put out. They even make their buns in house. Their cocktails also made perfectly. From the first sip you can tell the bartender know what he's doing. And the service/ team will show you how hospitality is done. This is one of the best restaurants in Hawthorn without doubt.

Found this little burger joint while looking for a local place to eat .I didn't think I would be so impressed by a buger joint. Every bite I took out of the burger was so so delicious and that Oreo thick shake oh man !!!! 🤤 . Defenetly these are not the normal shakes and burgers you get everywhere. These guys really know what they're doing 😃 and the atmosphere is cool and chill and the staff is real friendly definitely will be back for more!!!!

Once we got our food they closed up and literally left us sitting outside the venue while they left.

A. 1.Got to this place for a limited burger of theirs called "curry AF". A very cozy burger and shisha lounge in the walkway towards the Glenferrie station.
A veey nice ambience and a place you can chill out with your friends for hours,but i wasn't there for that.... This curry AF burger was one of the best I've tried, period.
A nice brioche bun with a curry powder dominant spice rubbed chicken slapped with mango chutney and cheese sauce. Inspite of all this, they didn't forget to leave the chicken juicy.
What an awesome experience, will definetely be back for some of their burgers again!

I remember the burger to be juicy, and cooked nicely, and the chips are given in generous portions, seasoned nicely and are crispy. I would come more often, were it not for the pandemic.

Recently there have been some issues with some pick up orders that I have made. I usually order to pick up at a specific time and turn up at that time to get my order. However a few times I have had to wait more than 30 minutes for my order to be ready. One specific occasion I have ordered 30mins before my chosen pick up time and arrived at that time to collect my order. I went inside, did my check-in and was greeted but then had to wait 15 mins while a considerable line was forming before anyone actually asked what my order was. I was then notified it would be another 20mins wait. I waited outside and finally received my order after another 20mins. So quick maths, a 55min wait. I was at least thanked for my patience.
It seems that this is becoming an ongoing issue. I think it would be good for the team at The Resistance to find a way to notify people of the wait times or how busy they are on these times. If not it would be good to provide something extra, maybe a shake or some chips for particularly long waits on orders, just something to make customers feel they are being taken care of.
I also think that the team need to be more diligent with COVID-19 check-ins. When I have gone for pick-up I have noticed there is no policing of people waiting to ensure they have completed the check-in. This is especially important if people have to wait if food is delayed.
The burgers are still some of the best in Melbourne so hopefully the team can fix the above!

I especially loved the sauce on the fries, which balanced out the cheese really well, if anything would have loved some more of the sauce! The burgers were juicy and delicious. I had the La Resistance burger, and my bf ordered the Pollo Escobar burger. Both were nice, but I think his fried chicken burger was a standout!

E. I.This place oozes personality and chill vibes. The burgers are top-notch. They use high quality meat which is cooked to perfection, and then served with fresh ingredients and fresh house-made buns. They also do great thick-shakes and offer really nice shisha that you can have together with your food or drink. Speaking of drinks, there are also a couple of beers on tap (Furphy and Kirin), though some fruity pale ales would have been perfect together with my burger. They also pump a good mix of music that suits the abstract and psychedelic decor inside.
Would definitely recommend this place as somewhere to hang out, or to go on a date with someone that likes shisha, burgers, drinks and lounging.

A.Though not the best burgers I’ve had in Melbourne, wouldn’t really call them gourmet, the food was really good and very reasonably priced. The place gets super busy on a Friday evening which heavily impacts service quality so if management ever sees this my advice would be to get more people cause your staff are great but can only do so much. Would definitely try this place again at a less busy time.

On one of the lanes at Glenferrie station. Split into three levels; basement/dungeon lounge, small/mini promenade and outdoor plus the upstairs open kitchen and a single table. Bob Marley is in the house, Sisha lounge and in-house brioche buns, one of the nicest we've had.
It's a Shisha lounge at night, so not the place to take your kids here. Even at lunchtime there were guys trying to lit up a cigarettes while having their meals outside and the smell still lingers form the dungeon lounge downstairs.
On the food side, that's what we are here for ... fantastic Brioche buns, Wagyu beef patties and sauces, thank you and well done.
Not much options on the ready made beverages; soft drinks, Asahi and Stella Artois, there's a big menu on cocktails, etc. I would say is a nighttime thing.
P.The food is really good, and the atmosphere is great. Just be careful of the wait times. Call ahead with your order if you're in a rush, or wait for a day where you've got some time to sit around.
