Very nice atmosphere for that bar. Good service at the bar and pretty large choice of drinks on tap. The food was basic but good, portions are quite big for mains. You can either order from bar or from QR code on table. I just wish the outdoor area was smokefree

Love the tap and scan function on the tables outside, to be able to order straight from the table and not have to wait for staff to take our orders! Food was great. Company was great and staff service was amazing too, great for a Friday night with friends :)

They have a couple of good IPAs on tap. The food is not bad too. This is one of the few places that is dog friendly, and had a decent sized out door area. I was able to sit outside and be shielded from the rain. They also have outdoor wall mounted heaters that make the outside pretty comfy in winter. The catering is pretty quick and the staff are friendly and accommodating. I'd definitely visit again.

Service was excellent. Love the building and outdoor area. Been visiting here since mid 90s. It has been reinvented a few times and this is a pretty good version of this venue. Food is pretty good too, banana flower tacos and burger were excellent, steak sandwich was yum but smallish. Good parking options.

I go to the Balmoral fairly often. Their food and service is always great and consistent. Despite being a busy pub it's one of the places I think manages COVID-19 measures miles ahead of most. They take it seriously and that matters to me enough to make it a top choice when we go out.

My first time today at the Balmoral for 40 years. The team of young food and beverage staff was just fantastic - kind though not patronising toward us baby boomers, really efficient and with a great spirit about them. I hope the boss recognises how great they are...

Went there for a birthday dinner. The place was packed but I managed to find parking to everyone's surprise. There are different pockets with different vibes - garden, inside, sidewalk, etc. Lovely though noisy, as is expected. The food was generous as local pub food tend to be. A few of us had the parmageddon - chicken, chips and a drink. Great value. A few bits of salad would have perfected it so it doesn't look like it's missing something. You can swap the drink for non-al. All easy and nice tucker to chill in good company. And as we were leaving we discovered kids eat free on Monday nights! Bonus!

Very comfortable local pub, especially out the back. Food is decent (the chips and aoli were really good). Lots of beers on tap and quite a few drink specials. Their normal pricing is on the upper end of the scale tho. A pint of tap ginger beer that has never cost me more than $12 (for the same brand) elsewhere shocked me at $14.50 (!!!) here.

Always friendly, helpful staff. The hotel has alot of character to it & clean. Meals are reliable price & never had an unsatisfied feed. Plenty of parking out the back which is always a bonus. Delicious beer and even better food! First time here and will definitely be back! Edit: originally wrote this review two years back, but wanted to come back and edit it. The Balmoral Hotel has continued to be one of our favourite lunch destinations over the past few years with delicious food and a good selection of rotating craft beer taps. We always have a very pleasant experience, love the decor and design of the venue and the staff are always very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend visiting for a drink and meal! If my review helped, consider dropping a like! 😊👍

They have some great selections of menu items and specials for the day. Steak was average, a little chewy for medium rare though. Peppercorn sauce for the steak is nice but Red wine jus sauce was quite disappointing. Would have much preferred the greens over the coleslaw salads. Friendly waitstaff. Normally comes with salad & chips but I opted for more salad instead of chips for a keto friendly meal.

Amazing place to eat. My husband and love to come here and eat outside on the patio. Great value for your money. Great food and great service. Also they do a dog wash on Sundays if the weather is nice for a donation to Shenton dog refugee. Just pay a gold coin and your fur baby can have a wash. Just a heads up the tub they wash the dogs in isn't overally huge for big dogs so if you have a large dog I don't recommend plus it's high off the ground so my girl couldn't even get up even though my husband helped. Other than that it's a great way to support the dog refugee.

Our local pup always great service and staff super friendly. Of late though the menu has been a bit disappointing with some odd things on offer. Tried the banana blossom tempura i thought it was just awful and tasteless. My friend had the whitebait starter she didnt rate it at all. I think condencing the menu is a good idea but whatever is on there should have a bit more flavour and punch.

ALH Woolies owned pub, this review is mostly for my own notes. Terrible local beer list. Atmosphere is good though. Good bogan spotting. Dog friendly and they have a dog wash on Sundays from 12pm-3pm for a Gold coin donation. Edit - what local beers would I like? You guys are near Blasta, Bright Tank, Otherside... Just something owned by a WA brewery.

Would have to say this is the best pub in Perth! Love the $15 steak and quiz night. The guy who does the quiz is personable and funny. The steak is a seriously delicious meal and especially great for the price. Have been so many times and never once had a bad experience. The service is always great and super quick! The service was good, the food was good and they have live music. They do split billing. I had the rabbit pie for dinner and apple pie for dessert which were good. The only inconvenience is that the live music is next to the place you pay, so it's impossible to hear the staff.

Nice friendly pub, good selection of tap beers and the menu/food looks decent also :) I can only vouch for the brisket loaded chips, as that's all I tried... but they were very tasty! A spacious, modern and lively venue with cool decor and multiple seating areas (inside and out) Also has a free car park out the back, but tends to get busy! All in all, a good spot for a catch up with mates, an after work drink, or even a Sunday sesh. Staff very friendly also. Recommended!

Ordinary, no sauce on the ribs, the slaw was just shredded cabbage - no dressing at all, this cant be a chef choice?. Blue cheese sausage rolls were dry, a light sprinkle of blue cheese would have been nice, $15 for a sausage roll is not cool. The place is so loud so don't expect to have any conversation. I would try again if I knew they had made some changes.

Not sure what's happened to this place recently. New menu is so small and lost all the classics. Craft beer selection has really declined too (They had Stella on the craft beer taps the other night) Pint of mid strength Feral Runt was $13.40... sheesh. Toilets are in major need of a renovation and the upstairs area looks like it's from the 80s. Still a great chilled atmosphere and use to be my favourite pub in Perth, hopefully it returns to it in the future.

It was a busy Sunday as there was a women's UFC being televiswd throughout the rear beer garden. There was plenty of space in the front beer garden, but as a ranga I avoid the sun as much as possible. As it was a very warm day and we had no interest it the televised fight we decided to eat inside. The staff were super busy, but also super friendly. The dining area was clean, tidy and inviting. Unfortunately we were so engrossed in our meals we forgot to take photos. The meal size is generous, but not ridiculous. Food was well presented, delicious and well priced. There was also some live music playing in the front bar which was a pleasant surprise. We will be back again.

On a couple of occations I've been disappointed with the food because they seem to take a minimalist approach to serving food that can be described as mid level pricey. Balmoral Hotel May 27th Thursday Schitt’s Creek Quiz night was anything but Schitt. Attentive, not helicopter staff (Sophie? and Jack and third staff member who brought our food, didn’t get her name, because....you know....food) Quiz started on time (well....as soon as last booked table arrive). Quiz dude, audible, clear, friendly and competent. Sophie checked in to ensure we weren’t blown away as we were closer to speaker than others. Nice. Quiz didn’t drag on. No silly challenges. Great questions. All wrapped up by 9pm cos it’s a school night.😊 Food: order taken in a timely manner. Drink order placed first, obviously. 3 delicious meals, with teeny menu change obligingly notes and delivered. Bonus, all arrived at the same time and all fabulous. Well priced. Sirloin steak, snapper and chips, Cajun chicken salad FYI. Coffees and mocktail to finish. We didn’t win the quiz, but we did win really with the fun night. Sidenote* who TF knows David Rose’s bank card PIN number (yes PIN number!) Warmest regards. Happy patrons #28.

Definitely a Serious Steak Sanga on sour dough.. A T-Bone with salad or veg,, no chip's,maybe Sweet Spud Mash.. A Pork Belly with asian greens.. Definitely bring back the side of Broccoli & Beans... How about Sweetlip Snapper.. Beef & Guiness Pie.. Traditional Garlic Prawns.. Reef & Beef.. Carbonara or A Pasta dish that doesn't cost a fortune & is bang for ya buck... You've gotta put some more Meat options on the menu... Definitely @ a good price.. We've been going elsewhere since the menu change for meals @ good fair prices.. Introduce some more Desserts... Sticky Date with Caramelized Banana & Ice-Cream or Pav... I'm an Ex Head Chef & TBH our last meal was terrible.. We've ALWAYS met our clients for dinner & talked Business... But we find ourselves going to other places now.. The menu is way to Influenced by Vego & Asian Fusion.. We go to a Pub for GÖÖD OLD TUCKER.... Run specials by all means.. But think about your clientele.. I know of a lot of people who aren't happy anymore & thats sad.. Cause you guy's once rocked the Kitchen... Get your people back in.. Do a kids eat free night on a Tuesday.. Cater for people who have had Gastric Sleeve Procedures.. Diabetics.. Advertise Awesome Specials during the week.. Do a Seafood Night with a bonus.. We'd love to see you all again.. We're 10 people who will come back every week if changes are made & fair pricing is introduced... You will make a profit again if you look after your locals again.. Brilliant night out. They are handling the covid restrictions very well. We dined in the restaurant section which had such a cool vibe. We were served by a nice young man, big arms and small legs, I think his name was Rhys but I could be wrong. He was onto all of our drinks and had some good suggestions about the food. The manager (bald guy) was a delight too. I would highly recommend this place for service, food, prices and a crazy good ambience.

I honestly can't remember the last time I went to a Pub,sad as it sounds. I drive past this lovely old Pub frequently,often thinking,if only those walls could talk,for some its probably a good thing they can't. For a late Tuesday night there were a surprising(to me anyway)number of patrons there,sounding like they were enjoying themselves. I was happy to see that it has retained most of its old world character features (if repo then good job) We made our way outside though it was a chilly night,the heaters which are mounted under the umbrellas kept us warm enough to stay for a couple more drinks. Ladies Bathrooms were modern and very clean. I enjoyed myself and I hope to visit again.

Best mojito in town. We went early on Saturday evening and the place was busy. Bar staff served us quickly and were friendly. There is an ATM on the premises, pool table and a nice area out the back, complete with an outside bar. We did not stay for food. Highly recommend this bar for great vibes and great drinks.

Went twice now and shared these vegan dishes: kung pao cauliflower, loaded jackfruit fries, sausage rolls, and burger. All absolutely delicious and highly recommended! I think my favourite dish is the cauliflower as it's got the right amount of chilli 🔥 Great selection of drinks too. We will be back again and again!

Great job on new year eve. The balmoral is my local and everything there has really improved in the last couple of years. Food and service top notch. I had never had any celebration there before though and New Year’s Eve was really really good. Special mention to our server Rhys. Top bloke who was really good at his job and had a smile on his face all night despite being rushed off his feet. My one complaint is there was no Jell-O shots as advertised. We asked early on in the night and they said they had run out. This was super disappointing and I feel the bar should have been better prepared considering you knew how many people had booked in.

Everytime I go to the Balmoral the service is exceptional, great atmosphere, friendly locals, yummy food and well priced beverages! One of the managers Troy, noticed we had been in a few times - came over to introduce himself and invite us to some events that where coming up there, its these kind of things make you feel welcomed and apart of the Balmoral family. You cant ask for anything else really. 5/5 - must visit!

Child friendly, with several choices of venue: formal, "tavern-style" or outdoors, which was set in a garden-like area, shielded from the public by hedges and shrubbery, a nice touch. Staff were friendly and helpful, providing excellent service and the menu choices were varied enough to please most people. Food was delicious! Children's menu included "Frog in a Pond" (green jelly with a chocolate frog on top) which was a great hit with the junior family members. Happy to go there anytime!

Apart from the usual “how was the food” question, we were treated with great service like clearing plates away ( did not feel they were rushing us to go) and refilling water. Little things counts. Noise was expected as it’s a Pub/Bistro but you can still converse without shouting. Food was bistro as expected and fair vs portion. Salads were huge in serving size. I had the 300gm Rump (medium). it was good with pepper sauce. Overall, recommended.

Went on a Sunday arvo to watch the football and the atmosphere out the back couldn't have been better. Huge screen with a live 2 piece playing good pub tunes at a level that still made talking easy. There were a few families there with small kids a fair number of groups of 20 & 30 somethings and even a few of the older set I even saw someone bring in their small dog for a bit. I left around 4pm and the back was busy without feeling uncomfortable and everyone seemed to be having a great time. When the weather is fine it is an ideal place for a Sunday session.

The second one came out, but once again it was just average. No love had gone into the creation of the dish. My partners meal had stale bread filled with the contents of a steak sandwich. I consider the Balmoral my local when I'm in Perth. Always a great atmosphere with a very nice layout of the indoor dining, Bar, and pool table area. Live bands on all the 'main' nights every week. Two outdoor areas, one behind the venue the other in front parallel to the footpath. Plenty of different seating options indoors and outdoors to cater for however many people your group contains.

I was here on a busy Sunday but was still terribly disappointed and wont be visiting again for a meal. There was a table of 4 of us. Although we were very excited to see 4 new vegan meal options on the menu... thats as far as the excitement went. We waited 50 minutes for our meals and they were really disappointing. My "chicken" parmigiana looked sad to say the least. The chips were stone cold and it really did look like something u might get on a cheap kids menu. Unfortunately the "avocado salad" it came with was actually garden salad with 3 small 1cm cube pieces of avocado. I questioned the waitress about the salad, to which she offerred to bring me another. We figured this meant the kitchen got the salad wrong, but a few mins later she returned with... the exact same salad and no explaination. I paid something like $22 for this. Another in our group got the eggplant curry but left half of the eggplant uneaten as it was raw. Another's burger was served with tomato when it was requested without and confirmed with the waitress upon placing our order. positives? the drinks (lemon, lime and bitters, white wine and beers) we affordable, served quickly and tasty hense the 3 star rating. If I were just waiting the food... it would be 2/5.

I love this Pub. Many different seating areas to cater to different preference; regular live music, great staff, capable of hosting functions well, an awesome atmosphere, can't fault the Balmoral.

My friend Dr Drumend and my other mate Mr Thornberg go to this pub semi-regularly. It's a fantastic little spot with great beers, and enjoyable locals. The food is pretty good as well. I've only had one suspicious encounter in the men's bathroom where a man who's nickname was "Demon" was urinating and missing the urinal. All in all however, this is a stellar pub.

Omg, $10 Bacon, Eggs and Coffee on Sundays. I was expecting wonder white bread and filter coffee for that price but I was dead wrong. Serving sizes were huge and food was very decent

Lunch: Excellent service with fast turn around. Staff was polite and pleasant. Venue looked great and cosy. Food was good and would therefore be happy to go back again and try a few more dishes... All good and bon appetit.

Food here is hit and miss. had the sliders once which were good. but stay away from the parmi which is average at best. Wife enjoyed the chicken salad. great place to have a beer on a sunny arvo. equally good at night as there are plenty of heaters out the front to keep you warm.

Nice adltmosphere and plenty of motorcycle parking nearby makes this a great spot for a wind - down pint. Unfortunately they stopped serving the monster burger they had which had toasted sandwiches instead of bread, but I can learn to forgive them. Nice selection of drinks on tap, as well as attentive staff makes waiting at the bar a pleasure instead of a frustration.
