Hadn't been to Brooklands Tavern since before the COVID lockdowns started in March '20. Went there on Mon, 7 Feb '22 & had a very enjoyable meal with excellent service & a better ambience as the childrens playroom is now segrated from the dining area and only accessible from outside - which means a peaceful dining experience & children can enjoy themselves as well. Kudos - a win, win outcome for all.

Monday Ribs Specials was absolutely amazing!! The sweet potato chips were so much better than standard chips and was so fresh and crispy. Salad was just right without overpowering dressing. I am speechless with the ribs, it was simply divine and just melts in your mouth. I have to say, these ribs are way more delicious than Tony Roma’s since my last visit there recently. Staff was so friendly and attentive that he checked up on us throughout our dining experience and offered to top up our water. I will not hesitate to return to Brooklands for more delicious Ribs with sweet potato chips. In fact, already looking forward to having a meal here again next. Highly recommended 😊

Saturday 19th no COVID check on entry we just walked in, nowhere to check in and people wandering around no masks. Wait staff wore masks but nothing said to diners with no masks. Food just ok. Typical p u b grub Food very average.

Pretty budget bar with a really old school pub vibe. I'm giving it 4 stars for two reasons. 1. It doesn't presend to be anything else. It's not masquerading as an upmarket venue and you get what you're given in an authentic way. The beer garden overlooks the carpark in the most 'south of the river' way imaginable, but for some reason I was fine with it. 2. The food is fantastic. I was shocked at how nice the food was based on the aesthetic of the venue. I had a beef brisket, and it was cooked almost perfectly. And it wasn't expensive at all... I would certainly come back here.

Fast service, good food, indoor play area for kids. Ordered butter chicken, loaded wedges, Blat, mini burger with mash and gravy and think steak sandwich. All the meals were awesome. Down sides- aircon could have been cooler and music lower. The kids play area was too hot and not enough ventilation

Access to the play equipment is a bit strange. Would be better if there was access from inside the pub as opposed to going around near the road. Food was OK, staff were great though.

The tavern has lots of parking. The dinning area was clean and the seating was comfortable. There is an outdoor playground for the kids. The menu is a little more up market to the usual pub meals. The food was presented beautifully and it was very tasty. Will definately go back there again. Service staff were friendly and helpful.

Very busy night for a Thursday, staff were very accommodating to the child that we had with us but we're clearly rushed as they asked us if we were ready to order and then walked away after we were asking each other if we were ready. Food was pretty average, I asked for the crayfish dish which was advertised at the bar and the waiter told me I couldn't because it's not on the physical menu so it's not available yet they can do the crayfish and eye fillet combo which is what I ordered in the end🤷 go figure. Also ordered a fruit tingle cocktail which didn't have any vodka in it. Everyone else at our table also said their meals were average.

What a great local pub. My wife and I went on Monday for a quick date and we lived the atmosphere. The price of drinks are as expected, service is friendly but a great discovery was the food specials! We loved our Rib rack and chips. Reasonably priced and delicious. Will definitely be back.

Excellent food, nothing here looks average. Had the beef brisket meal and helped someone finish their rump steak meal. Both were exquisite. The drinks are nice, especially loved the miska vodca fruit tingle. Overall excellent 5 star service would recommend.

Definitely a great family friendly place with the big playground for the younger kids. The atmosphere is comfortable with very friendly staff. Meals are always delicious and very generous in size. I only wish there were more vegan options. ● Vegans, there are usually only 1 or 2 meal options per night with very limited servings so it's best to call up beforehand to double check availability etc.

Pretty good food all round! Mushroom soup was very tasty as an entree. Kids enjoyed playing on the play equipment and were happy with their kids meal. A slight negative that on the kid's menu it says you can ask for salad for free, but the staff must have been oblivious to it because they looked at us with a blank face until we just have up. Everything else was good though, including the service in general.

Met some family for a bite at their South Perth local and it was great. The Saturday night crowd was loud and the kids were running around, but the food was excellent. On the other side, a live band was playing and people were dancing. Well worth a visit if you're in the area, but if you are after a quiet meal go on a week night!
