Excellent. We all loved it. Great refurbishment of the Good old Como Hotel. We had pres in the bar area then moved to restaurant. Make sure you book. The lamb chops were divine and very surprised to get 4, great serving size. Very pleasant afternoon. Recommend.

Basic pub menu - decent prices. Stuffed up the wine order but was a busy night. Could not make a dirty martini - can only make cocktails on menu! Cheeseburger spring tolls were AMAZING and what gave them a 3 star.

Came in for an early dinner and Frasier the barman was friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable about the food and drinks on offer on the menu. Great venue, service, drinks and food. Tried battered snapper and pork rib rack. Both come with chips and coleslaw, the ribs have an extra side of grilled corn which was juicy and smokey - so the pork ribs were better than the fish. Ordered extra dipping sauce - garlic aioli and BBQ sauce (great BBQ sauce) and they were free of charge. Mojito and ginger beer on tap was good too. This venue does check for proof of vaccination, two thumbs up. Will be back.

Enjoyed a meal there tonight. They were very busy! We proceeded to order our drinks and our meals. There was a bit of a wait, we didn't complain but the manager came up to us and said our entrees and first drinks, would be on the house (around $50 worth)!! The food was great and will be back. This wasn't our first time here, and it won't be our last time, either!!

Really enjoyed coming back to the Como. It's been about 20 years since my last visit (!!) and a revamp has happened in the meantime. We came for a Saturday lunch in the sunshine. The courtyard was lovely, the staff were awesome and the menu catered well for all of our crew. Very nicely finished inside and out.

Like It's Cue twin (The Como was modelled as is The Ghost Town Pub located in a Place named Cue, North of Perth Western Australia) the Como carries a nostalgic community based vibe that reminds me of The People and Humanity. Lovely place to spend some time with family/friends. The staff are lovely and had a beautiful pizza, we were in the outside area with lots of cover and we could order from the table. Good parking and all in all a nice place to visit.

Exceptional customer service. Very attentive, quick, friendly and accommodating. I had a small issue with my meal and they fixed it up for me immediately. The satay chicken was very nice and their ginger beer especially was delicious. Great place for drinks with friends. Big spacious place with dining areas, drinking area, couch area and television. Lovely lunchtime service... We had a very generous serving of satay sticks with a Thai style salad which I found great value for money! The Como Hotel has had a facelift since I last visited and I enjoyed my lunch experience with its friendly team and cool ambience.

Lovely renovations have created beautiful spaces, particularly the rear beer garden. Adequate choice of wines, food is ok, nothing amazing. Staff try hard and many seemed new. Only real negative were the ladies toilets. Couple of cubicles not clean, and there was no soap in any dispenser. Would have mentioned it to staff if I could find someone. Plenty of hand sanitizer on the bench but I think that is a questionable hygiene practice as an alternative to soap.

We rocked up at lunch on Saturday with a table of 12 without a booking, they promptly moved some tables around to accommodate us. The waiter was polite and the food service was prompt. The Chicken Parma i had was excellent, likewise the halloumi salad. Had a reasonable range of beers on tap and bar service was quick and friendly.

I went into the Como Hotel recently with friends. I was served by a gentleman behind the bar called Fraser. Top bloke! Incredibly knowledgeable about beers, served me with a beaming smile and recommended a delicious feed! Will be returning, hopefully soon.

Great food etc, the best thing was it was table service food and drinks. I have notice that a lot of establishments of late are sit down decide what to eat, go to till order and pay, then have to go to the bar get drinks, then back to the table. Not here, makes for a more relaxing experience.

Pretty inpressed for a local pub meal! We had the pub specials which were great value. I had the quinoa chicken salad which was fresh and light. Only change I would make is a little less kale and add some roasted pumpkin or another vegetable to break it up. My partner had the pit masters plate which was tasty but a bit rich for me - he loved it so it is a great dish for the lads. Dessert was nothing special

The Como had renovations a little while ago and the place looks very attractive. The dining area is spacious and airy. The menu is a little limited and typical pub style with a few nice surprises. The pulled beef spring rolls were very tasty and a nice twist on an old favourite. Snapper and chips was good. One of our group had the vegetable korma, he doesn't usually eat Indian food and it was not too his taste At all however the staff offered him another choice and did not charge for the korma which was great service. Overall a good experience.

Had dinner with friends on a Sunday night of a long weekend. Was my first time there. Good parking facilities. Place is very spacious with lots of different areas - bars, dinner, outdoor, pool tables. Staff is very friendly. They have TV 📺 screens in every areas which is great if you happen to be there on game day. Even showed Formula 1 - once the AFL game was over. Menu is typical of hotel/pub food with 🍔, fish and chips, chicken parmi, a small choice of pizzas, steak sandwiches 🥪 etc. Serves are very generous, food is very tasty and prices are very reasonable. If you’re after a great time out, then the Como Hotel is certainly worth a try.

Early dinner that became a longer stay. Great menu to choose from. Staff were attentive to our needs for food and beverages. Different sized groups were accommodated, including well behaved children enjoying a family meal out. I'd recommend booking a table for the time you want to arrive.

After their revamp the place is amazing. Very modern decor and ample room indoors and out. Relaxing outside area for drinks and a quick bite or indoors dining. Food was very good. I had a luvly char grilled steak cooked to my liking and my partner had the pork ribs which were delicious. Staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. I can see this place will now become very popular with the local community since the upgrade of the whole pub. I will definitely be visiting again.

Popped in on a Friday night with a couple of friends for dinner to see what the renovations and menu looked liked. The renovations look good - it feels good. Was a bit noisy when dining, make sure you dont sit too close to the front bar. All in all, the service was reasonably quick, friendly and the food was generous and fresh. Prices were reasonable.

We really enjoyed the lunch and our NANNA got 10% off her meal. The staff are friendly, the food is tasty and it’s really well priced. The renovations are great too - we’ve been going to the Como for years and it was starting to look really tired - but now it is fresh and clean. The beer garden is beautiful too. Only criticism is the lack of choice in good craft beers.. they would do well to add some more choices there. Go to the Como it’s worth it.

Since you actually replied I thought it was worth giving some feedback as well. This is my first time back to the Como since it has been done up and I have to say I think it is a significant improvement. The restaurant itself looks much better and inviting from the outside, the outdoor seating area is very nice, and making the inside more open was definitely the right choice. All the food tasted great and was a generous serving as well as there being plenty of drink options. The only negative points were that our waitperson (which we think was the service manager) didn't seem to know the menu that well and made the ordering process very confusing, and the waitperson who brought out our drinks spilt one of the drinks whilst saying they weren't very good at this (balancing all the drinks on the serving tray). Maybe just a bit more training in general for the waitstaff. Overall though it was a very pleasant evening and I would definitely come back.

Not long home from the Como Hotel, Como, where near enough to 50 people came to wish my mother happy 100th birthday. The food was fantastic, not one word heard by me to the contrary. Service was number one. Helped me to organise 100th birthday balloons, cakes. Only one minor complaint - soft furnishings on windows and table cloths on tables to aid in absorbing noise would be good. Otherwise, 95 out of 100. Wouls certainly consider going again.

First time coming here since the renovation. I felt the reno was ok.. externally the rear beer garden was much nicer, but internally they seemed to make some unusual choices resulting in what seemed like smaller areas... perhaps there was a reason for that, but it wasn't clear me me as a patron. Aside from that, the service we received from the team was spot on, the place was really busy on the Saturday afternoon I went, and the staff worked really well and I was never waiting long at the bar. They could do with branching out from just the same James Squire range on tap, but thats my general gripe with all the ALH pubs. I give the place 5 stars for their staff alone - service was as good as you could expect anywhere, including niche small bars, and certainly leaps of bounds above the other ALH pubs where service is typically ok at best. Would definitely come here again.

We all loved the colour scheme. The restaurant was spacious but the bench seats too low for the table. The chairs too small for most of the bottoms that were there. Certainly did not encourage us to linger. Maybe that’s the point? The food received mixed responses from the 5 of us. The noise was such that we could only hear the person next to us leaning in. This could be addressed by additions to those bare walls. Needs an experienced decorating experts help and guidance.

The new renovations make the space an art deco dream. The food was great and the place was ridiculously busy, even early in the week. If you're planning a dinner it's best to make a reservation.

Our first time at the Como for dinner and it was excellent. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Jen served us and she always had a smile and you could see she was happy in her job. Wife had the Salmon and was cooked perfectly. I had a steak and it was delicious. Didn't have to wait long for our food either which is impressive considering the amount of people they had to serve. Highly recommend to anyone who loves great food and service. We will be back for sure.

(2020)Great food, but so slow, the 3rd meal came out nearly 20 mins after the 1st one. Simple pub meals should be able to come out all at the same time. Edit (2021) - The new and improved Como is amazing, we have been there many times since it re-opened and it hasn't missed a beat. The food is amazing and the service is really good. The atmosphere here has been re-invigorated and it's a great place for after work drinks or dinner. Great work!

Below was my review some 12 months ago but headed back excitedly post renovations last night and was very disappointed. The 'feel' the place has changed, the level of service has dropped and it just now feels like a commercial venture that lacks the level of care and friendliness which made it a good family place to go. Food was fine, no issues here. You know things are off the mark when you are asked how your food is and you haven't even started it yet. Plates sat empty on the table for way too long but understand service levels in WA have been an issue for many establishments on the back of Job Keeper. Pet hate was the introduction of beer handle mugs only - that's enough to tip me over the edge along with a pretty poor selection of craft beers. Be nice to see ALH supporting some more of the local brewers with a few more options but at least Mash had one on show. Feels like we've lost a family favourite... Good food. Good service. Good atmosphere These guys work hard to create a family friendly pub in a city without much of a pub culture. Always enjoyable.... would like to see them embrace a few more craft beers on tap going forward.

We just had lunch in the newly renovated old favourite! Wow! The staff were incredibly accommodating considering it was fully booked and theyanaged to fit three people on our table without a grumble! Friday night is a busy night as chase the ace was on , but service was still good. The bar is noisy but friendly and a mix of young and old. We enjoyed our night for dinner. After the dispute about the Dan Murphy’s bottle shop on the site, we hadn’t been for a while, but when we did we were pleasantly surprised. The food was very good and the prices reasonable especially for seniors for whom they provide a special smaller portion menu. Wine was good quality for the money and there was plenty of choice. The Scottish Girl who served us was delightful. The only problem was that the place was so popular that it was a bit noisy, but it was a rainy day and when sunny some of the people would be outside. Good to see young and old enjoying themselves.

I went for a solo date with some work. Great service, lovely setting, neither too noisy nor not noisy. Was nice with dogs (well managed by owners). Gave a nice feel. Lured in by the 50% discount when booking through Fork and have to say, it's a great deal. Had the beef and lobster with chips and salad. Both were cooked satisfactorily and came out in a reasonable time. The salad dressing was too vinegary for my liking but enjoyed the rest. Good range of menu items and all sounded great. Beers were delivered promptly but given lunch on a weekday is quiet, it was to be expected. Relaxing atmosphere but dated. Staff were friendly and checked in on us regularly. Would visit again.

This really is a great place for lunch with something on the menu for everyone set under a large covered area outside plus some inside seating too. Last week they had $18 pizzas and they were so big I could only finish just over half and I’m 100kg and can normally finish a pizza...with an $8 pint of any tap beer. Great value. They also have table service for both beer and food. Definitely on our favourite lunch spots when the sun is out.

A really big pub like place with some great food. The southern fried chicken burger was Pretty good apart from too much fried batter but the peanut butter milkshake was delicious! The good did take a while but I was patient.

My bestfriend and I explore a different pub/restaurant every thursday night and enjoyed our time at the Como hotel so much a few months ago that we decided to come back again a few days ago. To our surprise it was an even better experience than the first! Making it by far the best place we have visited out of all the others. The lady who was serving us throughout the night was so funny and we really enjoyed her company. The music and the atmosphere outside was really cool and my chicken parmigiana was super crispy which I absolutely loved. Thankyou for a great overall experience!

Glad to have my local back! Original review: My last good meal here was 2004 which was 15 years ago before ALH purchased the pub. Since then it declined to the point I could no longer go here. The drinks have always been good but without the kitchen being good it was a big fat NO. However, I noticed an uptick in positive reviews and management replying to reviews trying to improve themselves. So I decided to give it another go. It was reasonably good (not great) to the point where we may visit again. Table service was good, friendly and fairly attentive (but not perfectly attentive). Food was a tad on the slow side in arriving. Drinks were basically perfect, fast to arrive and ice cold. My wife enjoyed the creole salad with the noodles on top, the smoked chicken was delicious and spiced very nicely. The burnt ends burger was not made with burnt ends (burnt ends are moist cubes of point brisket muscle with a glistening caramelised BBQ sauce coating them) instead they were made with sliced (not cubed) brisket flat muscle, they were dry and were not coated in caramelised BBQ sauce. The rest of the burger was good though so I'll let them off for trying something different. However given how bad the Como has been in the past (such as serving inedible hot "chips") I'm giving 4 stars for encouragement - especially for their use of a BBQ smoker! Keep improving, especially in the kitchen, as food quality and low prices are what will keep me returning.

But the steak burger was not a patch on how the menu discredit it ...at that price and with the menu discript we expected a wow factor but all we got was beetroot and salad over the table. Staff = excellent Steak Burger = 3 from 5 I paid $27 for the egg and bacon that's a top price. Sorry The Como maybe we got you on a bad day but we drove 25 hours to area friend and drop in on an off can.

3 months ago this review was a sorry tale of woe. Of late or forgotten meals, poor service and terrible wonky tables. I've been attending this pub almost weekly for the past four years and for some reason, it's usual decent quality went straight to hell for two months. Now, I'm glad to say that the Como is back to being decent again. The food is well priced and served in a timely fashion, and the service is back to normal. The Como might not be the greatest pub in town, but it's still pretty great if you're looking for somewhere to eat! My only regret is that they no longer serve the pumpkin and feta salad I developed a liking for before those Dark Times in October/November...

That's a nice place and very popular amongst locals! You can have great specials offer there which are different every day but they are structured. For instance on Sunday you can always have three types of $10 pizzas. Saturday is a perfect day to come with kids as they have Kids Donations scheme - in accordance with this offer you don't need to pay for the kids meal but you can leave a gold coin donation at the til. Moreover, they take reservations for functions on the second floor where you can be isolated from other venue guests and have your own menu!

Service is 4 to 5 stars, depending how busy they are. Staff are friendly and helpful, seem quite cheerful as well which is nice. Food quality isn't amazing. Don't expect gourmet meals. Three stars. Adequate pub quality furnishings. Beer prices are standard for Perth. Atmosphere is quite nice out in the beer garden. Sufficient parking for designated drivers. So why the three star review? There is nothing that makes me want to recommend this pub. There's nothing about it that jumps out and says "fun!" "exciting night out with friends!". Maybe it's because going out is so expensive now. As of writing this in 2015 it's like for $60 for main meal plus a few pints. I expect a bit more for my money, I can cater at home pretty well for $60. So yeah, in summary, going out is expensive and I don't think The Como really offers anything special to make you choose them over all the other similar priced options.

We chose to occupy the back of the pub where we didn't have a formal sit down dinner table arrangement. This encouraged everyone to socialize, mingle and dance much more resulting in a wonderful time had by all and was only topped by our Boat Party on the Swan River the year before. Apart from the service being just a little slow it wasn't so bad as to impact on evening in a negative way. I recommend for a casual fun night out or company function / party.
