This is the best Steak sandwich I've ever eaten! Worthy winner of the 2021 Australian Hotel Association WA award for best Steak sanga. The bread is amazing and the Steak magnificent. The Shroom burger was also a delight. Will definitely be back!

Steak sandwiches were outstanding and the parmies were very good. Drinks were a bit of a disappointment. Ordered a wine and a cocktails and some beers. All served in plastic disposables which was fine for the beer (pint size so no dramas) but the cocktail, which cost 12 bucks, was in a TINY plastic kids jelly cup (not exaggerating). Same for the wine. The waitress told us they're near the end of renovations so don't have the glass dishwasher, hence all the plastics. That's fair enough but charging full noise for what they gave us (tiny portion) was a bit cheeky.

It was a lovely close by pub that welcomed us for a family New Year celebration. A great, casual ambience with plenty of space. We were seated indoor. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Patient, too, as we couldn't really decide what to order. Yes, plenty to select from, the usual pub food and plenty of drink selections. Our orders came quite timely and they were delicious. I had only hoped that my coleslaw wasn't bitter... A big portion , I must say, but worth the price. I recommend this pub.

Great local pub for a meal with the toddlers. The beef steak sandwich was excellent, but the pork rib was mediocre. Servings are generous. Asked for spare plates which came with scraps dried onto the plate.. not a deal breaker but not ideal either. The playground is tucked away in the corner and may be out of view unless seated nearby.

I have no issue with paying for a cocktail at $15 if freshly made or in a big tumbler glass but served in the tiniest cocktail glass ever. Steak sandwich excellent. Awesome venue, when you think of a pub you don't get a venue like this one, very nice layout with a beer garden, multiple bars & seated dining section. Have been before to try their amazing steak sandwich 👌👌 This time tried their pulled Melaleuka beef sandwich, the beef had a nice tang to it but found it quite dry, so asked for extra sauce, no charge and happy to help out, the bun held together but it reminds you of the cheap burger buns you have as kids or a fast food venue. 7/10 for the pulled beef 👍 Bit more expensive than you'd like for a pub feed but they are fair with the portion sizes for the price. Will definitely be back to try something new nextime!

Unfortunately, we didnt really enjoy the meals. The jalepeno poppers, natural oysters, lamb and burgers were delicious. The Ravioli, kilpatrick oysters and crab pasta weren't great, although we did get a refund and the staff handled it all really well. Also, they meals are really decent serving sizes! The thing that saved the rating is the face painting and activities for the kids, the customer service is probably the best I've experienced in a while and 50% of the food ordered was delicious.

First time here for dinner, great friendly service from Joy, shes a credit to the buisness, service more in line with a upmarket restaurant, very impressed despite how busy she / it was.. a big well done from us. Had the beef schnitzel, beef was nice, mushroom sauce , not so much. All in all a good night will be back.

Even though we were heading into a 3 day lockdown, the pub was full and really pumping. Kitchen did a great job handling the orders, I had a blue swimmer crab linguini and it was absolutely faultless. Beer was cold, food was hot. Who could ask for anything more ?

Thank you to the staff at CY s who looked after our group of 20 last night . We dropped in without a booking after spending time in Tilly’s garden for which we had a booking . Due to the weather yesterday we were forced to retreat in CYs . The staff , a young women called Taylor and Joy managed to seat us all in the restaurant and ensure we were all looked after . They did a great job and we all enjoyed our evening . The food was great . The atmosphere was great.

Bar staff are excellent! Always a smile. Often pop in here to enjoy the very frequently changed array of craft beers on tap or to enjoy the food which is absolutely delicious. A great place to watch the game, grab a pint with a mate or enjoy a family dinner.

Had a great time catching up with people at CY O'Connor's. Good selection of tap beers, food was great and served in a great time frame considering how busy they were today. Good volume of music (we could actually have a conversation). All of the staff were friendly and gave great service even though there were people everywhere and in 40 degree heat (thank you for the misting machines). The shaded playground was perfect for the kids and kept them occupied. Great work guys. Thanks for a nice time. We will be back.

Loved the ambience, nice trees out the back reminding me of the Norfolk. Good range of beers tad expensive but fairly standard these days. Didn't try the food, but looked amazing, one of the lads I was with mentioned it being expensive. So I suppose good for a visit every now and then!

Had our COVID19 wedding reception here in “The Vines” area on 12/9/20. Don’t over look this place for your next function.💗 The food was amazing, the service quick and efficient. Martin and Alannah the functions managers were over and beyond amazing. They made everything look even better than what I asked, were helpful the whole process and went above and beyond to ensure our day ran smoothly. Nice place and tasty food. There was possibly a small amount of mould on my wife's burger bun. Not sure. They claimed it wasn't, that they make fresh buns and rolls every morning, but made a fresh one to err on the side of caution. I'll give the benefit of the doubt on that one. Lost points for me because, despite not being busy, we were seated at a table that had not been cleaned in quite some time, confirmed by the reservation sign with the time of reservation still on the table.

Never been here before but have always heard good things. The hearsay is confirmed we were very impressed with the atmosphere and the food was fantastic. More then the usual amount i pay at my locals, but i must admit its worth the extra spend for the quality and size of the dish, plus the beers are flowing nice and cold on a sunday with live bands playing in the background. If youre after a top level pub lunch with great atmosphere, i highly recommend C.Y O'Connors.

Booked a table inside for a large group, Sunday lunch, sadly no table service offered for drinks nor food orders.This meant that in spite of us all trying to avoid social contact with other patrons, we were forced to make frequent visits to the bar through the crowd. Meals were ridiculously large, Schnitzels especially, and much food untouched.

My steak, salad and chips $37 was nice. The steak was tender and cooked to my liking. Very popular place at 6pm, suggest you make a reservation. We sat near the fire which was warm and toasty and where the table was in the middle of three and free standing. Be aware the fire is near public facilities so a lot of traffic.

UPDATE: Came for a family meal a few days ago (15/4/21), and without previously knowing of the result of their entry into the State's steak sandwich competition I decided to try one. OMG! Held my son's surprise 30th birthday here. Staff were fantastic helping to hang decorations and just generally helpful. All the guests said their meals were delicious. A pleasant venue with lovely indoor and outdoor settings. The menu is adequate and pricing is reasonable. In hot weather the misters spray a refreshing and cooling mist that makes the outdoor area pleasant, especially with the big shade trees that cover most of the outdoor area.

We ordered drinks as soon as we arrived through table service, they didn't arrive so we had to go to the bar and get them ourselves. This happened numerous times. There were clearly not enough staff on to cater for the amount of people/tables, as we were constantly stopping a staff member to get any kind of service. On a plus the food was delivered very quickly, the 4 entrees we ordered were all delicious, however the mains were a miss, ribs were dry, lamb rack was very small & the char sui noodle salad was missing the noodles, although very delicious even without. They do not do split billing so take cash.

Been here multiple times with always great service and delicious food. We had our engagement party back in March in the restaurant area and Alana and her staff were amazing, dealing with endless questions and happy to work to a budget, organised gluten free platters for coeliac guests, which Alana herself went out of her way to identify, and familiarise herself with so that platters went to them first. All night our guests mentioned how they had never been here before and how amazing the food was and the staff were attentive and friendly. I know many people that have gone back for dinner since XD Could not recommend a place more. Can get a bit chilly in winter. That's the worst we can say about the place.

There's nothing like an afternoon Saturday pub meal to start off the day and prepare for the large amounts of drinking that is surely upcoming. CY O'Connor pub is a very lively and clean place. We ordered a red meat only platter and everything was cooked to perfection (medium-rare) and a range of flavours including satay, sweet BBQ and spicy mustard beefs and sausages. My only preference is that the steak not be pre-sliced as a non sliced stale retains more flavour, and if the slicing was due to it being a share platter then it does not explain why the other piece beef was not cut. It was an awesome event with exciting platters presented well by attentive staff. The venue was prepared as arrange with Jamie the event co- ordinator. Having a great choice of beers and ciders on tap along with an excellent house wine choices, every guest was well catered for. A week after the event and guests are still commenting on what a wonderful relaxed wedding in a perfect surrounding as they could be entertained by the live music while mingling with guest and at the same time keep an eye on the footy score on the big screen. 😁 We could go on and on.
