Great university experience so far, it's my third year at murdoch and I have found great support through my learning journey, great teaching material, and facilities seem to be improving over time. It reflects a strong focus on making the campus for students. The only downside is parking... feels limited.

Don't write Google reviews after drinking. However, that said, if it's a fine University, with good access from the freeway. Parking is cheap, and plentiful, and you can pay for closer fancy parking. The library is open quite often, and there is a great sense of community. There are dogs at the campus which is just nice. There is shopping in the Bush Court on Thursday, and everyone is very nice.

Just reading the reviews and thought I'd post a non-emotional one to be fair. 1. Probably the best uni in Australia currently to do an external online degree (currently doing comp sci). Its without doubt the most reputable of those offering online certification and wont have your new employer saying 'which uni? wheres that again?' when you graduate. 2. surprisingly, very responsive and helpful staff so far for an online student . I'm finishing off exams for my first year now, and of the 9 units completed, 1 unit was a little behind with marking at times. However, that unit quickly compensated the delays with extra exam prep sessios to before swatvac. Pretty good odds in terms of hiccups I'd say. 3. Exam time is a little painful for online students though as you have to elect and organise your own exam venues and invigilators every semester. Don't get me wrong its not that difficult, particular if you just elect to have another uni do them all, but maybe they should look into stream lining this in the future. 4. I have done a 'sciency' degree before in Qld, and received a year off this degree because of it. I arrange the credit agreement before applying and it was a very quick process (about a week in total). 5. The general structure of the unit contents has and is very fulfilling. I've been an internal student before, and I don't feel like I'm learning at a second rate with all the recorded lectures, tutes, workshops, extracurricular sources of information, online textbooks and unit notes, practicals using the same applications etc. etc....its all the same. That's its for now. overall a modest 4 out of 5, though I'm more than happy with my experience thus far, and could easily recommend their online courses in technology with confidence to whomever had an interest in these areas.

Very good environment for research and study. Faculty provides very good support and guidance. A pleasent and international students friendly environment. Most importantly has a separate Muslim prayer room in worship centre. So we can pray 5 times a day, and also jumma without anywhere else to go.

Overall, Murdoch University is certainly a worthwhile choice if you plan to obtain further qualifications, from what I personally searched and enquired while undergoing studies - they provide a decent variety of majors and minors available where some other univesities are lacking. The South Street campus is by far one of the biggest in Perth, each building is spaced out well with rooms that can easily support up to 30 students, there are some buildings which are older than many of the others and at times there is a whole different vibe. There are plenty of places to get hot or cold drinks, and a devent variety of food choices located throughout the campus, including a pub, there are also great study areas if you have spare time before the next tutorial/workshop/lecture. Student support is also helpful if more information is needed about a unit or if certain majors are compatible, there is an online instant chat, email or phone number if your not on campus, the Murdoch website provides alot of useful information which would be the best place to start. If more specific information is required i found that coordinators that conduct a unit are happy to answer any of your questions. One of the biggest improvements that Murdoch needs to priorities is to developed more social/community events for its students, this, in my opinion is a big area which is lacking on the campus. For students that did not do ATAR or did not recieve a high enough score, Murdoch provides alternative options of entry with OnTrack or OnTrack Sprint for students that did not meet the required score, these options take up to 14 weeks. For more information about other alternative entries, the Murdoch website will be the best source.

Access to sooo many resources: student lounge, lecturers, Guild services, bookshop, library, an array of foods and Student Centre is also very helpful. Parking is a bit xxxxs'y, over the top and costs $$ per semester which is fair enough. SO if you're a student budget in semester parking if you plan to drive to college. Otherwise, transport is in abundance. Train, Buses, Bike paths.

The School offers a broad range of courses in creative arts, media and communication, and humanities at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. So if any one looking for admission in any of the fields can go for admission in Murdoch University.

I've been to three different Universities in Perth. Murdoch's staff have been incredibly helpful throughout my studies. If you wish to study an Arts degree, definitely come to Murdoch.

I had the most wonderful experience at Murdoch Vet Hospital. They took such great care of our 10 month old. We were so worried about him, but they took us in, educate us about what was wrong-- taking extra care to ensure we understood, and then proceeded to care for him. Dr. Hugh Broun also followed up 2 days later to check on him. A wonderful experience even in the midst of worrying about our pup!!
