So much fun coming here for the wine in the dark event. The blind tasting game was matched with a four course meal: Slow cooked beef brisket taco, Char Siu Octopus, Beef loin, and the Mulled wine pear. All the dishes were delicious and visually stunning, the beef melted in your mouth and the octopus flavour was bomb! The service was lovely too!

Beautiful dinner with lovely atmosphere. Food were just superb. Loved them all. The cuttlefish cannelini salad was the best out of all. Followed with the pork rillette on their sourdough.Their straccialetta with the thyme honey was interestingly delish despite the appearance. Kingfish crudo was just yum and I enjoyed the spicy kick in their fettuccine. Most of all service was on point, very friendly and accomodating.

First time dining at North Bird. We didn’t make a booking. But the staff was very nicely seated us at the bar before finding us a free table. The service was amazing. The girl served us was just bubbly and extremely friendly you could tell she loves her job. The guy who was serving us too was amazing. I wish I had the opportunity to ask their names. The food was amazing. The linguine was spectacular. One of the best linguines I’ve had. If you like spicy linguine this one is for you. We had the king fish which was delicious. The potatoes was perfectly cooked and the texture was great. The cauliflower was just good additional dish to compliment all other dishes. Ambient was great, the service impeccable, and food was definitely one of the best in Northbridge. If you’re looking for a place to eat and drinks or even taken someone on a date. This is the place for you. Much love to the North Bird crew. Amazing

Really enjoyed our meal! Went for the $69 Wednesday night meal for two and it was well worth it! Great value for money and excellent food. Service was quick and staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent selection of wines too!

Great little wine bar with amazing food. I personally would avoid sitting on the bar stool tables as they are really high and the foot rest is really low. Ended up with a pretty crook back as a result, but could not fault the service, food or wine! (Just try get a normal seat!)

My go to for great wine and delicious food. Unpretentious, knowledgable staff make me feel welcomed and at home everytime I visit. Enomatic wine dispenser makes it easy to try gorgeous top shelf wines without breaking the bank! Somm is friendly and full of wine wisdom. The ever changing wine list and food menu is always fresh and inspiring, and keeps me coming back for more! Don't change North Bird, or should I say, keep changing!

Had a really lovely dinner with friends here last night. Service was fantastic, vibe was on point, wine was abundant. Beautiful modern Australian cuisine with not-one disappointing dish

Food was good overall but then what was a let down was the fact that we ordered the normal chef's menu and yet they gave us the vegetarian menu. We asked where the chicken wings were towards the end of the night and they brought them without acknowledging their mistake. And the worse part was that they had another booking after, so we got quite pressured to finish our meal even though they were the one at fault.

We have walked past this lovely wine store many times and wanted to try it. And last night we did. It was delicious...the chef was amazingly calm..and just delivered excellence on a plate. Whilst the selection from the menu is not extensive it is exactly as it should be...with everything just superb. Service, wine knowledge, ambience.

Great little venue to grab a wine and some dinner. Friends had fun doing tastings in the wine store. Love that non-alcoholic options were also available such as heaps normal beer. Will be back!

A really great experience which we couldn't fault. Wonderful food, wine and service at a very reasonable price. Also a great vibe reflecting the atmosphere of Nortbridge. I would've left a tip but this option wasn't offered and I had no cash. My only concern is that with a limited menu I hope it's changed regularly to get me to go back again soon. Overall, a definite 5 stars from me. Congratulations!

The wine selection is amazing. Very knowledgeable staff who pointed me in many wonderful directions. Great list of natural and low interventional wine. We didn't eat much food but what we did eat was wonderful. Definitely check it out. Very hip little joint. One of my recent faves.

Wow, what a great place. Great staff. Great food. The menu was very simple with a very clear idea of sharing meals and that is my favourite way to have a meal with friends. Also the wait staff was very welcoming and informative. Each dish we had ordered were unique, no 2 the same. The crispy pork belly was probably my least favorite. It was too salty. The octopus was delicious but the best was a vegetarian dish and I can't remember it's name. Food was priced well, about $25 for 2 with 4 dishes ordered. Giving this place 5 stars because of it's uniqueness in dishes, great interior atmosphere,friendly and well knowledged staff, and priced well.

Went for dinner last night and the food was fantastic. Ate in a group of five, dishes came out well paced. Really really like the salted cod on chickpea crisps, raddichio, the duck, mussel dip, steamed fish, cost lettuce, eggplant and the homemade foccacia. Would say the octopus, squash and ricotta could do with a tad more seasoning but still delicious. Had a great bottle of wine (or two) with the meal and they also brought out an additional small item on the house for a member of the group who is allergic to fish. Attentive and quick service - couldn't fault it. Just beware of the table candles when you put your paper menu back down! (We accidentally set it on fire... and were not the only group to do so!).

At the recommendation of the waiter we started with the Bress Shiraz. An excellent wine, even it it was more reminiscent of a Pinot Noir. We then shared 3 dishes, the fish, the seared broccoli, and the smoked potatoes, prior to dessert. Of the 3 main courses, the broccoli was our least favourite. The accompanying eschalots were truly exceptional, but the broccoli itself, while seared, and with well cooked florets, suffered from a slightly undercooked stem. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the accompanying vegetables were a great match for it. The standout, for me, however, was the smoked potatoes. A seemingly simple dish, with a great depth of flavour, and done to perfection. We finished our night off with the chocolate and hazelnut tart, that was really well matched with coconut ice cream. Given the quality of the food, and the excellent bottle of wine, the bill was much lower than I'd have been happy to pay. All in a great night.

Amazing share food, great atmosphere, friendly staff, and well priced compared to similar restaurants for the amount of food you get. The chicken was especially tasty, and the "street corn" wasn't anything like what I expected, and that's a good thing! Be aware that as with similar restaurants you might have to wait and you might be seated on a share table, but they have some tasty and very well priced beers on tap while you wait. Not to mention you can watch the kitchen pumping while you have a drink!
