Even with the steak butterflied it was a small piece. I get that it’s high price high quality but when you chew on a grisly piece you wonder whether that’s true. Service was good though

Came in a little after 19:00. Not too busy. Was seated by a very nice waitress. When asking about the grade quality of their wagyu, the waitress asked the chef, who basically had no idea about meat grades....red flag already.... so I decided to try the exotic animal meat platter then the burger as I didn't trust the wagyu. If a chef isn't knowledgeable about that, what else does he not know? So I went for safe options. The platter itself was OK.....some meat was good, some wasn't, not the chefs fault, just the meat quality. The actual taste was meh, no seasoning at all. I get there is salt and pepper on the tables, but you should always season food when cooking. Anyway, it was OK. The burger, like the platter was bland. Tropical burger that didn't taste tropical at all. Was a good experience for a westerner to try the crocodile amd kangaroo ect....but I won't be coming back. The decor was a miss mash, not sure exactly what was going on with the upside down crocodile. The waiters/waitresses were very friendly and attentative. Unfortunately, every time they came over to ask if everything was OK, I was either taking a bite or just had a bite of food. Restaurant 6/10 Food 4/10 Service 9/10 Price 7/10 (rather cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for)

The best pork ribs in town absolutely in love with the pork ribs really succulent and juicy with yummy sauce. I and my hubby shared full rack and was enough for us to enjoy to the fullest. We love the service here as well. It's always very good place to go for heartly meal. My husband love the rib eye steak as well. They cooked them exactly how he likes which shows that this place really cares about customer. Will visit again soon guys good job

Steak is always perfectly cooked. Vege were a little soft for myself but overall a pretty decent experience. Need to head back to try the pecan pie and the sticky date!

Went for dinner, quiet Saturday night, staff welcomming and friendly. I had the fillet steak, my better half the pork ribs. Both were ok not outstanding, both came with chips which were over fried and probably twice cooked, salad was a awash with dressing and not very good in sense the leaves were wilted. I feel for the price we paid they need to pay attention to lifting there game. Im not sure i would go back.

Improved a lot since its downfall a couple years ago or more - when we visited our kids really enjoyed their meal and we did too. Its great to see staff were very kind to help us choosing and they were super friendly too. Definitely will be going back again - I suppose outback jacks needs a bit improvement in the interior side of things but overall a great dining experience.

The food and service are great. The restaurant's range of meats is its draw card and they serve everything from burgers to ala carte dishes. The range of drinks is pretty reasonable. The wait and bar staff are friendly and welcoming. Prices are mid range. The venue is clean and hygienic. Definately worth a visit of two or three. A great place to start your Friday night in Northbridge.

Lamb burger was not too bad. My wife had barramundi. That was good. The fish was fresh. My dad ordered a porterhouse steak. A bit on the dry side. Also a bit pricey. About 34 dollars. Overall a good experience though. Service was good. A spacious restaurant. Good for kids. A pram can fit here

Where do I start... this place is nice however they continuously change the menu which is very annoying. My friends and I used to come here and always get the same thing until they decided to change it. The ribs and chips meal pictured below is definitely tasty, however the ribs are a bit over cooked, it’s not a chef that cooks the food, I believe as though they hire a young nose picking teenager that just pops it on the grill not understanding anything about meat and how it should be cooked which is one thing they can improve on. However for the price it’s overall not a bad experience. The below meal split between two people was around $35 each. In terms of the atmosphere and location, parking is a nightmare especially on the weekend, the interior itself is very noisy and while sitting children play around and hit the walls of the tables which was very annoying after the 5th time. This place has received 5 stars for value for money and service :)

Spacious restaurant with relax family feeling (kid room also available). My steak porterhouse angus and my wife fillet mignon. We loved them. Juicy and cooked just the way we ordered them. Steak came with green salad amd chips. Menu also includes ribs, burgers, crocodile and kangaroo meat. Staffs super nice and always smile. 1 kg steak challenge, free on the house if you can finish less than 30 minutes.

It’s been years since we went to one of these chains. Thought we’d give it a try again. Arrived around 630 before a FringeWorld show it’s a large restaurant and wasn’t busy. Service was good staff were attentive. Noticed the prices were on par with some of Perth’s premium steaks so expectations were high. Unfortunately both steaks under delivered the medium-rare was cooked medium-well and the medium was medium-rare / rare. The fillet was tiny, considering its price should have been either better quality or more substantial. The chips were tasty and its a bit of a worry that ended up being the highlight of our meal. At least the staff were friendly and checked in to see if things were ok, they offered some free drinks/desert. Your mileage may vary! I think if these guys want to be more attractive to the average Aussie they appear to target they probably need to to drop their price or raise their quality. For a similar price one can get a premium steak at somewhere like Chez Pierre or Meat and Wine co cooked to perfection. Something to think about for the owners.

Awesome customer service! Delicious spearmint milkshakes and the scotch fillet steak was fantastic! Pricing is pretty similar to other steak serving places but it had the chips and a good sized garden salad which some places I’ve been to don’t include. Would definitely come back!!

This is one of my family's favorite restaurant. They make delicious steaks, and special challenge to eat huge steak for 30 min and get it free. Thre are delicious pork ribs. Here you can try crocodile, kangaroo, Emu. There is a children's playroom. I highly recommend this restaurant as a family holiday or for relaxing with friends.

I took a large group of people here for a lunch-time birthday party. The food was great, the service was better and I was very happy with the bill at the end. The lunch time menu was excellent, with great prices for the slightly smaller lunch time serves. I can't fault anything, and I will certainly be looking for an excuse to drop back in again. Aged from 5 to 85, everyone was looked after and left with a smile. With multiple requests from different people with special requirements, nothing was too much trouble. The food was prepared and cooked as requested, food allergies were catered for, even a Vegan amongst the group left the steak house complementing the food. I am sure he would have liked it even more if he had the pork ribs like I did, but we'll never know. Great job, very happy.

Centrally located in Northbridge on free Blue Cat bus route. Chilled ambiance with a dedicated smoking area conveniently located. Varied and reasonably priced menu. But the drawcard we found and were really impressed with was the friendly, helpful and lovely customer service. This place is highly recommended. Go there once and you'll be back. Loved it.

Forced to pay more after transaction went through. At least have a sign up if you want to add a surcharge for particular cards.

Went on a week day for lunch. First thing I noticed was the warm welcome we got. It was as though we were regular visitors. Our server was a very helpful young man who took time to answer the questions we had and help us with recommendations. The meal we ordered was Jalapeño poppers, calamari and a lunch order of pork ribs. The portions were good and enough for two. The calamari was good and not chewy, the jalapeño poppers were tasty and the cut jalapeños sprinkled on them helped increase the spice. Lastly the ribs were cooked right and had a good amount of meat on them and the chips were cooked well too. Would have liked to try the apple pie but we were stuffed. So will have to do it the next time we go back.

Always like coming to Outback Jack's. The service was very fast and friendly. Lots of tables here so plenty of space. Wide variety of dishes available. We tried the Breast is Best chicken and the Spare Pork Ribs. Both dishes were generous in portion size and tasted great. Highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you are in Northbridge.

I ordered a tropical chicken burger which came about 15 minutes after ordering which wasn't much of a wait at all. Interesting that on A Friday night when the rest of Perth’s pubs are packed, this place was empty. Is it because there is no outside seating? Its good to see they have pulled back from down times. The food is now rather GOOD compare to couple years ago when i visited. Food was great and the portions were huge. Staff were awesome. The one and only downfall were the people hanging out outside were absolutely terrifying. They were drunk and yelling at everyone that walked by. The cab drivers told us to lock our doors, and also when we had to duck into the supermarket he said he would wait for us so we wouldn't get robbed. Other than that it was great. They took our large booking on short notice.

I hosted a birthday celebration here and Im afraid to say it wasnt the great experience I hoped it would be. The sauce was missing from one person's meal, the crocodile and buffalo that were ordered medium rare were anything but, and the kids meals came out a full ten minutes after everyone else's. On the plus side the service was really good, but at the $35 steak level I'd expect a few things to be quite a bit better.

Steak was average. There are definitely better steaks elsewhere. Wait staff was friendly and helpful. My steak was easy more done then my liking. After raising it to the waitress, it was promptly taken away, and a new plate was prepared for me. Not just the steak, even the accompanying sides as well. Thoroughly enjoyed my night there. They also had colouring papers to keep toddlers busy which were given immediately after we sat down. Kudos to the wait staff.

Still my favourite place to go at lunchtime. The lunchtime specials aren't perfect, but they are very good for the price. The atmosphere is comfy with friendly staff and it is a relaxing lunch-time escape in the middle of a hectic work day. I have been a few times early evening, and have had some stunning steaks. Not cheap, but they were around the typical price you pay for a great steak. Looking forward to my next visit.

After trying, my parents didn't really like it so she gave me a secret recipe to put in the cola and it was delish! What's the best was that there was crocodile, wild boar, kangaroo and some other weird animals to eat! i recommend the wild boar!

A delightful experience...me and my wife are both admittedly quite picky when it comes to food when we dine out. We were both quite delighted when we visited this place on two separate occasions. The staff are lovely and seem to take pride in their work. Our steaks and sides were cooked nice and checked upon by staff to ensure our satisfaction...the first time we visited we were greeted by a lovely canadian girl and the second visit there was another canadian girl working there as well, this restaurant was just a lovely time. Go here 2 or 3 times a week for lunch, and have done for 2 years. $12.95 steak, chips n salad lunch special is AMAZING. Good chunk of rump, and man alive they cook it perfectly every damn time. Chips are flawless. Now they have Matso's ginger beer on tap too, love that. They used to have Tingletop which was good, but Matsos better. Staff are great, food is great, those specials just keep me coming back.

Amazing value lunch meals and so tasty! I was starved after a stressful Monday morning, and bought a steak and a chicken wrap with sides. The flavour was bomb fantastic, I only ate half the wrap (which was packed full of flavour some chicken and so fresh, so kindly the staff packed up the leftovers which were quickly devoured on my return home. A long time since I have met such attentive, friendly, competent and professional staff..... It was a treat that I will do again and again! Looking forward to have a steak n ribs dinner sometime very soon. Plus I have a new regular 'lunchbar' when I am nearby! By the way their tap beer Sierra is great value and perfectly poured. Portion sizes were great value for money and it all tasted great. Good selection of beers on tap and some good wines available. Didn’t go in the kids playground as don’t like kids but loved that there were pinball machines at the front by the bar for the grown up kids. Fantastic food and fabulous wait staff. They were extremely patient about us adding extras to our order and wanting to try the jacks platter entree before ordering mains (it has a skewer if each meat type offered as a main). This was my family's very first time in Australia and Perth. After a long week here we finally decided to go truly local at Outback Jack's Northbridge! Jack's Game Platter is an amazing experience! Priced reasonably, it allows me to try out kangaroo, crocodile, camel, emu, buffalo and wild boar meat in one seating! It all taste great and so did the drinks selection and fabulous service. Service was good and they honoured my $30 birthday coupon; however, both steaks were overcooked. My partners T bone was meant to be medium rare but came out medium well. My camel steak was meant to be medium and was also medium well. Still decent meals and we were too hungry to send them back but we were slightly disappointed in not receiving the correct cook of our meat. Not sure we'd return as the prices are pretty steel for the portion sizes.

I had chilli prawns to start & they was really beautiful but small about half dozen medium sized prawns , for a main I had the 400G rib-eye on the bone with sweet potato fries & mushroom sauce it was another level I haven't got enough stars to give it what it deserves & I had a pecan chocolate pie with icecream for afters that was a lovely pie as well.

My mum built this building back in the 80's as Darby's seafood restaurant. I ran the bar here for many years. It is disconcerting to see the once beautiful decor gone, but that is life. It is an Aussie theme now and it looks fine. Service: 100% We were attended to primarily by a charismatic Canadian lady, who punctuated most sentences with "No Worries": Befitting the Aussie theme of the restaurant. I found that nice touch, endearing. Other staff looked in on us throughout our 2 hour stay. Each a wonderful choice of staff. Beverages: 100% We ordered a pair of margaritas which at $16 each were fairly priced. They arrived quickly and were well presented and tasted perfect. We were offered complimentary cold water half way through the meal. Food: 80% Food was served quickly and presentation was perfect. Steaks were the choice of us both and cooked to perfection. At 200 grams they were small. Tomato sized! That is pretty small. There are 410gram sized steaks available and I'd recommend the larger sized steak to all but small eaters. My steak had a line of sinew running through it, meaning it was not ideal. That said at $34, the price was not expensive. Meals came with a baked potato with sour cream or a $3 option of a large serving of dry lumpy masked potato. This mashed potato has been mentioned in other reviews and I echo concerns that it should be avoided. Importantly, this has not been addressed, meaning you are not acting on legitimate feedback. A delightfully prepared garden salad was included, making the $34 meal good value. I do struggle with the $3 surcharge for a very little jug of sauce or gravy. Surely this could, indeed should be included at no charge!!!! The restaurant itself, was largely empty which was concerning. That said, it wad school holidays. The giant inflatable crocodile on the ceiling is very kitsch, but it is befitting of the tourist theme. I'm giving Outback Jacks 4 stars, because I feel you could do better in the choice of meat and the woeful dry mashed potato. Piping the potato the way it was presented, is reminiscent of a large white, "Doggie do". Your awesome staff raised my 3 star review to 4 stars. Perth has a very competitive restaurant scene. I urge you to take my criticisms on board. They are legitimate. Oh and Ray... Never reply to customer criticisms after a long day. You are too close... Contact the person and invite them back. Comp them something and ask for a new review. Trust me. Carrots work better than sticks. Kudos on your exceptional staff. I'll be back next time I have overseas visitors.
