It's actually a great place to eat & drink. Plenty of outdoor seating, well set out indoor seating areas. Great food & drinks and a quiz night on a Thursday night. Please add the wings you had a few weeks back to the menu with like a ranch or blue cheese sauce 😊

Beware of email offers of a “meal discount”. After eating I was challenged to pay full price despite there having been no mention of “minimum spend” conditions either in the email offer nor signage of such in the venue. I stood up to the bar manager on this after they repeatedly insisted that there were “minimum spend conditions” (how is the customer to know this before booking, or on the night?) ………………………… Reply to Seb (below): On the night, neither your Bar Manager nor another bar staff could show me where in your email offer there was any mention of “T&C”, “minimum spend” etc (I have the email). I use “Beware” for exactly the reason you have demonstrated here in your reply (false assertion by you and non-existent “T&C”). I got the discount only because I stood up to your Bar Manager’s repeated assertion of “conditions” that were not evident in your email offer. The discount was not in the least graciously given. Hence, “Beware”.

Good food. We all enjoyed our meals. Table service was good all staff were friendly and cherry. Atmosphere was good. We had a meal in the outdoor area nice protected location from sun a full wind. Access is very good for all even mobility impaired. Heaps of park. Only free 1st hour the pay (typical for City of Perth out for every cent) but 1hr free is good.

Nice pub. Massive outdoor area. Heaps of parking... free in the evening on the street behind the venue (Brisbane Street). Great range of craft and regular beer. Staff friendly but food and drink orders mixed up twice. Food okay.

At the risk of sounding like a grumpy old woman, my only complaint about this venue was the ear piercingly, awful music which completely obliterated the ability of our group to converse with anyone other than the person immediately adjacent to them. Even that was difficult. We were all looking forward to catching up with our respective life stories but were completely thwarted by the off key ghastly loud soloist supposedly entertaining us. For the record, if I want to listen to music I go to a concert. If I want to have a chat I meet at a pub, restaurant or stay home. It’s a dreadful shame if venues end up missing out on revenue because the entertaining at home option becomes the only place where conversation is possible.

Hate the app to order, you have to do your own order, see no one and then the have the total gall to ask what size tip do you want to leave. Foods ok, but if you want a quite lunch forget it, speakers every bloody where, you can't here yourself think, never mind talk to someone. Waiters if your lucky to see one act like they're doing you a favour, I won't be back in a hurry

Good pub with really friendly staff. Came in for some drinks and food. The guy at the bar was very friendly and provided great service. Nice ambience out door area with a good crowd. We got a series of small items to share, and all were fantastic. Would highly recommend.

Went in last night for dinner and drinks and had excellent service from the male manager. Realised this morning I may have left my car keys at the venue, went in this arvo and the same manager recognised me and had kept my keys safe! Very grateful for a great dinner and the help!

We loved our lunch at the Brisbane Hotel, we shared the Salmon and Burger and had a Southseed Cocktail to start, staff were friendly, atmosphere fabulous for a catch-up with old friends. We were on a time restraint as well, the service and presentation was 1st class. It was private and we loved the outside beer garden. We’ll be back!

Second and third⭐ common sense with the food, so often you will go to a restaurant and they won't budge on the menu🤷, They make you waste one food, so you have to order the one you want to🤦. Fourth ⭐ great venue, comedy site up stairs, during the week, they're killing it, great DJ. and bands, I love comedy, you can bring your pets in the beer garden. Don't like the smoking section, Queens got rid of theirs No allocation of fifth⭐ not liked it used to be, the atmosphere needs help. Can Cater to big groups.

Well it's a beautiful venue and the staff was friendly but that's about it. The menu is limited . The meals over priced as is the beers. I had the ribs which I liked but had to order a side salad. My wife ordered the 38 dollar steak. Asked it to be cooked medium and it came out rare. Ask to cook it further and out came half a steak. So we asked were was the other half. The waitress went back to the kitchen and said the chef will cook you another steak. That's fine but how do you lose half a steak. The other couples also where not over thrilled with their meal. Over all won't be eating there again which is a shame because it is a very cosy establishment.

The decor and construction is beautiful, and is the best part of the establishment. The food and drinks are priced quite high for the portions given, that's if you're lucky enough to get served. Our "jug" was a vase, that dribbled half its contents on to the table with each use. Good luck hearing, or generally moving around. This is not a laid-back pub, its a dance floor away from being an overpriced nightclub. That said, the workers were very nice and could do with a little help as it seemed to be ridiculously understaffed for a Saturday night.

Seriously, hands down, the best steak I have EVER HAD. I've eaten steaks at the top restaurants around Perth and at wineries all over the state.... I was in awe and speechless at how delicious the steak was! The jus was AMAZING and definitely no shortage. The Ajvar underneath was a great touch. Even slicing the steak in half and showing you how well it was cooked. Fantastic! The only let down at this venue..............the clientele! Holy moly, from 5-8pm on a Saturday evening we thought we could enjoy a peaceful dinner tucked away from the outside part. We got harassed by 5 different blokes. one bloke I needed to get security involved to get him to leave us alone. Obviously, I know this isn't the venues fault but it definitely still dampened our evening.

Used their booking system to arrange a lunch with friends I had not seen in a while. Easy to use and enjoyed the reminder. We found the staff willing to serve, friendly and very accommodating, offering us a few seating options and asking if we would like to move when it appeared that it might rain. A basic, but tasty menu. I see why my friends wanted to come here.

My friend and I often go to the Brisbane for a meal. The food is always great, well presented and a good range of choices. I recently had dinner with friends. The food did not come out all at once and by the time I got my meal, my friends had finished theirs. The staff were amazing, they went out of the way to make up for the delay. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the relaxing and beautiful garden, the inconvenience of staggered meals was forgotten. Great service and company.

Unfortunately not the best experience tonight although I've been a couple of times before and service was fine. Venue was only at around half capacity and my partner had to wait at the bar almost 20 minutes to get a wine and beer, by which point our meals had been sitting getting cold for over 10 minutes. They did bring him a fresh one which was a good gesture (we only asked for it to be warmed up so that was nice of them). But it did result in us eating our meals separately and they also got the drinks order wrong. Big thankyou to Rhi who looked after us, extremely helpful and friendly, 5 stars to her!

There's a reason why the Brisbane seems to be going strong, even though many of the surrounding venues have come and gone. It's got great ambience, whether you're there on a date or with family and plenty of spacious seating, inside and out. Great selection of drinks but the food can leave you wanting more (especially during busy periods). Would definitely check this venue out, because not everything is as it seems! For example, $5 Stand Up Comedy on Tuesday Nights at the Shapiro Lounge - so you have to put in a bit of effort to see what's on and what's playing :)

Came here for a show upstairs during fringe festival. Bar staff were friendly and approachable. We decided to stay for dinner and we're happy with our decision. The burgers were delicious, the fish was a little bland but cooked well. I personally has the eye fillet and it was cooked to perfection, a joy to a meat lover. The venue was quite loud and probably suited to a younger crowd. There was some board games and Jenga floating around which was fun. Would recommend.

Staff: fantastic service here, these guys are all professional yet casual (not stuffy). Beer garden: one of the best around. Well maintained water feature and large established trees for shade. Excellent range of beers and they have a feature tap or two with wildly varying content - from weird experimental beers, to delightfully refreshing ciders. Knew of the Brisbane Hotel as we had been there over a decade ago and thought it was just another hotel. Went there last week for a birthday party and was suitably impressed. There was a great vibe and it was not as busy and divey as all the other pubs in the area. The staff where a standout as they where informative and attentive: making us feel like we are important. My partner and I recently held a function at here. The wait staff were friendly and very helpful, and the food was delicious. Unfortunately that's where the positives end. When we arrived at 2:45 to set up for our 3pm function, there were people everywhere in our function area. It took the duty manager several minutes to clear the area, which meant my partner and I were still busy running around trying to put our decorations up when our guests arrived. By 4pm there were still a dozen people in our function area which were not our guests. It was only then that the duty manager let me know they had booked a function as well and we would need to share the area. Our function was also interrupted when guests from the neighbouring function took it upon themselves to join our function, and treat our guests rudely. Not exactly what we paid good money for. The Brisbane is great to go out to for dinner and drinks, but I would not recommend hosting a function or event here.

A nice pub with a great beer garden and fun atmosphere on busy days. I'm not giving 5 stars because only after checking my bank statement did I find I'd been charged 1.5% surcharge for each paypass payment I made via a debit (not credit) card. The bar staff are quick, polite and efficient, but they never warned me about this charge or provided a receipt, and there's no signage anywhere at the bar to advise of this. No wonder so many people were paying with cash during my visit!

This pub always maintains a high standard. Great setting and atmosphere, amazing staff, and until very recently, the best steak in Perth. Unfortunately, as with all things, times change. A new chef brought a new direction to the menu at the the brissy, and in my humble opinion, any direction away from the previous glorious eye filet is going to be wrong. His/her new creation is complicated and confused. Instead of letting the premium cut speak for itself, the plate is smothered in over powering onion “jam” and served with a cold hard lump of lifeless marrow butter... which refuses to melt and add any flavour to the lacking dish. Gone is the divine bearnaise, the simple unassuming, but perfect thick cut chips, and the most amazing slaw I’ve ever eaten. Please bring my beloved back! I’ve endlessly recommended this pub and in particular the steak, and would love to again.

Went to the Brisbane for lunch for the first time in a few years, so much choice with restaurants that you forget old haunts. I was really looking forward to it as remembered clearly they had an awesome menu that had always been consistently good. Dissappointed to see that the menu had reduced considerably, a few salad choices, steaks, a pasta dish, a fish dish and a couple of other things, They had taken on my favourite triple salad side dish too (which was AWESOME). Staff are incredibly good, very attentive, friendly, polite and on the ball. Food was average. The Duck and pumpkin pasta dish was flavourless, with a very watery sauce, not rated at all by my companion. They offere a variety of smoked meats on the menu, but at 1pm on a Friday we were told that was not available as the meat was not ready (someone was unprepared for the lunch service?). Steaks were OK, nothing wrong with them - pretty much what you'd get anywhere in Perth and for a similar pricepoint . My feedback is if you are going with a smaller menu, then make the food choices memorable and exceptional rather than average. Maybe the average diner is focussed on drinking and not so focussed on the food - in which case it is still quite expensive for average pub fodder. Bumped into a friend the next day who mentioned they had also been for lunch there and were also dissappointed with the shorter menu choices too.

As a long time fan of stand up, love the Tuesday $5 comedy open mic. It's cheap and the host is usually a little apologetic (lots of newbies totally bombing!) But there's usually a few solid acts and it's pretty amusing to experience a bit of schadenfreude during the cringey moments. Haven't had the food, but theres a real solid beverage selection (alcoholic and non) And the bartenders run a good service. Happy to make this a regular stop :)

I love The Brisbane Hotel, with any excellent beer garden and a great selection of tap beers you can't go wrong here. It's slightly more expensive than your average pub but not massively so. Upstairs in a comedy club and entertainment venue which is hosted most nights of the week and are well worth checking out.

Up until recently, would have very happily given more stars for value, consistency, service and food. Service is still fairly good however sadly, there has been some cost-cutting measures taken on some of the food on the menu which is quite disappointing. The homemade sausage rolls, once a generous sized plate, has shrunk considerably (and not just in the size of the individual pieces). What used to be an amaaaazing chorizo pizza is now just extremely average due to the replacement of generous amounts of high quality chorizo, manchego and olives, with bits of 'chorizo' sausage mince, a sparse scattering of cheese and the occasional olive. Sometimes we'd go to the Brisbane specifically for the chorizo pizza but that won't be happening anymore, and unfortunately now I'll also definitely think twice before ordering food when there for a drink- which is a far cry from before when most of the time I couldn't resist! Such a shame..
