It was a great place to stop by after work for a pint. Fifty lashes beer on tap. Portions were huge, great value for money.

Awesome venue, the bar staff were very catering in letting me and my brother try some beers before ordering. We ordered the no.67 burger with the cheese dipping sauce and was it a experience. Our food was spot on! Very generous sized portions that we couldn't pick any faults with. We did have a small weight for food but as they say, good things take time! Which wasn't a problem for us as we got carried away chatting over a cold beer with a good atmosphere.

A couple of us went on here for lunch and ordered burgers after hearing they were good. Didn't disappoint, I was actually surprised how good they were. Unfortunately it was about 45-60 minute wait which is not ideal when you're on your lunch break.

Stumbled across this place after seeing it not as packed and the other bars and pubs nearby, which was the best decision ever! Thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor seating on the warm nearly-summers night while being entertained by the beginning of Perth's nightlife adventures. Excellent service by the staff, who was super helpful in recommending cocktails for these picky tastebuds!

Grabbed there lunchtime special, which was a cheeseburger with chips, 2 chicken tenders and a side of mashed potato and gravy. And can say i was very impressed with the meal. In total all that was great value for $20. I would definitely go back again for that. I also tried the cheese and bacon loaded fries and while the serving was generous mine came out cold and simply lacking any cheese which was disappointing to say the least.

Good food, good beer, good god where did the time go. It feels exceedingly tucked in the corner then you see upstairs and it feels a bit more open. The burgers are better than grill'd which is just opposite it. The chips and the seasoning are very morish.

Fantastic location in the CBD. James squire has been a solid regular local brewery for ages, enjoy it on tap! Burgers here are darn good, give them a go! Good sized meals. Got their snack pack today; cheese burger, potato and mash, two chicken tenders, and chips with tomato sauce and Frank's hot sauce. Delish. Chicken tenders are some of the best I've had, seriously hot fresh and crunchy and not oily. Come here for a feed and a burger.

The bar service was attentive and friendly. We had the mac and cheese bites - these were delicious and much larger than expected and had a flavoursome relish too. We also got the chips, they had a decent amount of salt/seasoning on them and I liked that they came with both tomato sauce and aioli without us asking.

Fantastic place located in the Perth CBD to get your burger craving fix. Came here on new years eve and purchased the burger combo and it was amazing! Great portion size and value, only thing if I was being real picky would be that the chicken batter was a little salty but otherwise perfect!

As expected it's a great pub to come to after a long day at work for a few drinks and a meal before heading home. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their beers. It has a truly pub vibe and does get busy; that aside I tried out their porterhouse steak (rare) and inhouse larger, delicious in both accounts, with my steak cooked correctly. Would happily eat here again, next I work at Perth.

Came here for a colleague's birthday lunch and was surprised with the available daily specials which were quite affordable. Tried the steak special for $15 which was cooked nicely. The general menu can be abit pricey. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Some at our table were served late but that was probably because the place was quite busy. It was a good lunch and the outdoor seating is comfortable. This place is on the Entertainment Card and offers a 25% discount up to $35.

Brisket burger was excellent, husband wanted to order second one, but out of time. Cheeseburger (non-brisket) overcooked and bland. Beer selection good, husband enjoyed Little Creatures Pale Ale. Not sure of establishment name, as menus say, Durty Nelly's. As a visitor to Australia, we didn't realize you had to go inside to order. We noticed that at a number of places, but not all. Outside seating under cover nice, but warm when no breeze down lane. Liked the old Guinness advertisements on walls and restroom clean.

A group of us ordered food from Generous Squire Perth CBD, unfortunately Uber Eats delivered half our food, then kept the restaurant waiting over 20 minutes to complete our order. I ended up speaking with the restaurant directly after getting nowhere and being dismissed by Uber Eats, the manager from Generous Squire was extremely apologetic, replaced our order and generously gave us some extra menu items to make up for the trouble. Their food is always amazing, i was really impressed with their handling of an uncomfortable situation, well worth a visit. 5 Stars

Good food, drinks and service. Only reason it's not 5 stars is because smoking in the outside seating area isn't restricted or controlled despite all the little "no smoking" metal signs on the tables. I understand it joins on to the side walk where people smoke anyway, but there is a difference between sitting next to and amongst a group of people smoking while trying to enjoy a drink and meal.

This place is fantastic, be it as a destination for a "big night", or even as a venue for a spot of lunch. It has great group promotions, an unmatched selection of beers and the roasted broccoli and cauliflower salad that I selected was honestly, the best and most flavourful salad ever! Give it a chance and you won't be disappointed.

Disappointed with a burger only menu. Burgers were fine but not better than Grilld. Buffalo wings were decidedly average at $16 for 1/2kg. You read that right 500 grams. Environment was nice enough. Service was good.

This is a well played out bar and it is actually quite easy to get in and get a drink even on a Saturday night. The staff are always polite and they have a great range of beers and spirits to choose from. The upstairs function rooms are a nice feature, I have been up there several times for friends birthdays and there is plenty of room and it's own bar! The food that they serve also tastes great!

I've been to the Generous Squire several times in the past and it has always a great experience. Last visit on Saturday (January 20) changed our opinion. We were seated outside, our table directly under a speaker. The music was very loud. We all heard it turn up even more on several occasions to the point where it was unbearable and we had to move inside. It was marginally better inside until it was turned up even more by the DJ. The place was pretty empty so the effect was amplified. We literally had to shout to hear each other across a rather narrow table. It was definitely louder than safe limits. To top it off, a few people were smoking out the front and it was blowing directly inside. We gave up and left. The music was far too loud and cigarette smoke is a turn off. Sorry Squire, time to find somewhere else for weekend drinks.

Bartenders are always willing to recommend to your pallet and with a large enough area upstairs and downstairs for large groups it's the perfect place to start in Perth.

The Generous Squire is a trendy CBD pub. Their Fifty Lashes beer on tap is a refreshing change from some of the mainstream beers. The menu is good and the chefs do justice to the range. I'm from Melbourne and this place compares very favourably with anything in the Eastern States. I'll be back.

For a place that "specialises" in beer, they really seem to make every effort to give you the minimum amount they can get away with in a pint. They are not interested in the art of pouring a great beer, even the Manager was quoted as saying that was the minimum they needed. Poor form for a full priced pint establishment. Food was ok though, so not all bad.

Porter ( Jack of spades ) a new trendy name so weak blokes might try a black beer, is unreal, been a fan of Squires Porter for a decade ( once you go black! ...You know the saying) The steak sandwich was superb, you bit into it and didn't drag out the whole tough steak, it was so tender and the staff were great.

Went in for a lunchtime parmy, burnt on the bottom, crum was soggy from the sause just sitting on it and the whole thing lacked flavour. Thin chips not the thick ones you normally get at a pub (personal preference I guess). Apart from that it's a great looking place, nice and friendly atmosphere, staff where pleasant. Would go back for a pint once I'm off the clock but not to get food again.

Great service, loved the beer selection, but the food was fairly sub par. Steak sandwiches were disappointing for all takers. Firstly the sweet onion "relish" overpowered all other flavours. Secondly the steak serving was pretty anaemic. Finally the chips were pretty rubbish which for a bar is almost unacceptable. Come on guys . McCain's does better chips (IE beer battered) pick up your game. Counter point I loved the pulled brisket burger with slaw. Also the fish, in the fish and chips was on point. So it seems just fixing the chips would be a big score. Although I can't help but stress, ditch the 'onion relish' for something more palatable, it is just too sweet for a steak sanga.

Beer was good. Food was so-so. Service was good. Unfortunately, like many Perth restaurants, the kitchen doesn't run their exhaust fans during winter. It's bad enough that you leave smelling like you work in a kitchen, but also the fire alarm was even going off while we were eating because of all the smoke coming from the kitchen. Shame on Perth restaurants. Get your act together. Do you think your patrons don't know they stink when they leave your establishment?

Stunning $8 XPA pints price. Went here with a mate for a drink and feed before the tennis. Both ordered the parm. Absolutely average and $26 for it....Not in this economy, overpriced for one of the great stinkers of a parm. I have quite a high parmy expectation having been to the Lo Zucchero's, Durty Nelly's etc of Perth and this cannot compete. Other than that good spot

I had a meal this evening at the Generous Squire. It looked quite nice from the outside so I was tempted in. I ordered a pint of the Wheat Belt which was very nice but in the 5mins that it took to order my food at the bar it was gone when I got back to my table! A replacement was organised fairly quickly though once I'd pointed out that it had been taken 3/4 full. I then orded some food. The Chilli Mussells looked appealing so I ordered those. After about 30mins they arrrived and I started to open the shells. Out of about 30 shells (that's 1 dollar each) there were 5 that were intact with 5 dead closed shells. I kept eating to try to find as many mussells as possible (I was very hungry) but found 10 to eat in the 5 shells and the giant vat of chilli soup that the mussells were drowning in the salad bowl with. Unfortunately, there were only two pieces of over toasted bread to attempt to soak up the huge vat of chili soup with. I waited for a convenient point to provide feeback to the manager (Jack Radecki) whereupon he informed me that, as I had waited until the end of the meal to provide feeback, rather than complain instantly, I was not entitled to any compensation whatsoever. I did highlight the lost opportinity to Jack and that I felt let down as a customer. Fueled on disappointment and being sort changed of $30 I'm writing this review. To his credit Jack did explain the "get lost" policy in a very diplomatic way but, nonetheless, the end result is lost business from me and my extended network of friends. Nice beer but this was let down by the quality of food, the poor customer service experience and weak onsite leadership team. I'll try one of the other execllent nearby bars like the Melbourne next time. Regards
