K. B.This place hosted our social Halloween Party again, and they didn't disappoint!
They decorated, they dressed up and they cooperated with us throughout the night. The staff were absolutely amazing and deserve a medal for their hard work!!
K. S.First⭐ they always seem to be open, some people don't keep normal hours, so it's great to have as place to go
Second 🌟 they always have great bands, good quality entertainment that people actually get up and dance to.
Third star⭐ the staff are friendly, security can be a bit and miss at times. Just like those who go there. Lol
Fourth ⭐ good venue for a function, private bar area at the back, DJ. They also have an outdoor area as well.

R. B.IMO Universal is possibly the best live music late night bars in the city..30+ years on and still as popular as ever. Kudos to the management for hiring attentive, friendly and customer centric bar staff and security. The kicker was listening to quality live music - great band and range of covers.

F. P.This place is an institution. It’s been around in the heart of Northbridge since I can remember and was around for years before I ever set foot in it. Live bands plying all the current hits and oldies you love every night. Great drinks and pub grub. If you’re looking for a fun uncomplicated night this is the spot. Ask for Jason he’d love to say hi.

D. S.Drinks and entertainment was good but I wasn’t impressed with the food. The wedges were fine but the pulled beef nachos were not great. The beef was very dry and the nachos were in one lump because the cheese had re-solidified before it got to the table.
But, as I mentioned, the entertainment was great and the drinks were nice

D. T.Universal bar has a new virtual tour, I highly recommend to stop by and meet the great staff who work there and enjoy there great atmosphere, they even perform live band there, sitting outside they have byo out front with gas lit heaters right next to Northridge
I. M.Great place to have a pepsi with your family, drank so many beers here so good! The burger patties tasted like dog food I almost wet my pants! Great live music and vibe, literally the worst burger I've ever eaten, like eating a cardboard sandwich full of donkey meat. Awesome staff!

However the dance floor is a tad small once everyone gets into the groovy mode. FYI, the crowd there is generally more mature, so if you are looking for someplace to party your head off maybe go to one of the other nightclubs haha. Otherwise, it's an amazing place to hang out, enjoy the music and the drinks

R. W.Universal bar is one of few live music venues in Perth. Whilst the bands play cover songs of popular hits, the liveness if the music makes it a great experience. Almost always packed out on Friday and Saturday nights. It is more designed for an older crowd with friendly but firm bouncers and a large selection of premium spirits and wines. There is also an upstairs section which is open for a chill when its not booked out for a private function.

They really helped me organise my event and navigate through COVID-19 restrictions, and ensured that my event went exactly to plan. The upstairs venue itself is awesome; great food, wonderful sound system, lots of dance space and seating and overall fantastic vibe. Would definitely recommend these guys for your next function

P. M.Fantastic venue! Great staff, awesome variety in drinks from wines to cocktails and probably the best draft beers around. Not to mention their daily happy hour and food specials. And for anyone who likes live music.. Blues jazz rock and pop... It's an all round happy place to be.... Oh and the sport is always televised!! Cheers guys ;)

Every time I go there staff always make me feel special and they are friendly and professional. To all The staff thanks for making my my night enjoyable and the music rocks. Another place that doesn't not disappoint. Most of the people that go there are mutured but it is mixed different ages and different nationalities. Definitely recommend it,it will be a night to remember
J. P.What a venue! We had our Engagement Party in their upstairs room last Saturday night and it was absolutely amazing. Fully stocked bar, beautiful balcony with removable roof and own toilets! The staff were incredible and organised helium balloons for us, set up the room so it was ready to go & were super helpful. You can order food through them too, with so much variety to choose from ! Vegan & gluten free options available. The gluten free pizzas they did were absolutely amazing! Such a nice pizza base. Thank you Montana for helping us organise such a great night & for Ashleigh for being super helpful on the night - organising our music and supplying us with a phone, when ours didn't connect. Such a great team of people you all are. Thanks again!

r.Depressingly, this used to be the place all the "old" people went to, when we were 18. Now im part of the "old" people age that goes here lol.
Its fine. There is an ok band. The crowd is older and a bit more chill. Drinks are priced as you'd expect for northbridge (ie. Way too expensive).
Nothing really stands out. Its been here forever so there must be some appeal to some people.
