We went for pre drinks before dinner but we got food as well xD pretty big portions actually!! Chips are nice and crispy, wish they gave us options to choose aioli or tomato sauce cuz I would've preferred tomato sauce. Chicken was quite okay, we chose the spicy flavour, bbq was the other one. Not bad! The sauce with the chicken didn't go too well together though I thought! Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is good for a casual catch up with friends :)

LOVE THIS PLACE. Like a country pub smacked into the middle of Sydney. Great atmosphere. Lovely staff. Delicious food at decent prices. Very quick food service too.

Was the first pub me and a mate went to for a night out. We were only gonna stay for two drinks each but the atmosphere was so great, and the drinks were so good (and cheap) that we had to get a third. Even came back later for three more.

Very sentimental and iconic pub on George Street, good to see that they survived covid lockdowns. There are 2 bars over two floors and top floor is a dancefloor but it used to be open only on Fridays and Saturdays. The food they serve is pretty good too.

You can't really expect 3 monkeys to cook perfect Nachos, but I remember having better one a few years ago. It's a great joint to have a few beers and hit the dance floor, but food, I'm yet to be convinced. Update: their new menu is interesting but it’s too early to judge at this stage

Located close to most hotels so popular with the travelers. Good selection of beers and good available. There is a dance room available which is rather small but they have got live DJ AND a mini light show. Main bar room has a couple of TVs streaming sports usually. Staff are okay. They do attract a good mix of crowd of age groups ranging from 20s to 60s. Interestingly, found a bouncer at the entrance checking the age proof of patrons looking young, despite the place not being very active on the Tuesday.

I went there for lunch and had their lunch special. Didn't enjoy the experience all together. The food ends up being 20$ even during lunch promotion. The bread was nice and the meat was OK. The overall taste could be better. The coke had absolutely no taste and gas.

Grungy backpacker bar on George Street. Good for a laugh or to meet people to kick the night off but there are plenty of bars in the city that are far better than this place. Pros are cheap drinks and quick service. Cons patrons are often inebriated students / backpackers who can get a bit rough at a moments notice

I visited this place thinking it’ll be fun after looking at the reviews. This was the worst experience I had at a pub in Sydney I never expected the DJ to play regional NEPALI songs for the entire time I was at the venue. Management was completely disobedient regarding the matter. The worst experience I had and I would not at all recommend any of the viewers of this review to visit this place. The place has completely changed into a menace.

Great place plenty of events throughout the week. Really nice staff throughout and friendly professional security making this a great spot to visit every night of the week. Panda nights are awesome and even with large crowds you feel important and welcome by the staff who are strictly following the rules but always friendly and the main guy in security he's always keeping an eye on us and keeping us safe. Thanks for the great times.

Nice place to hangout on a daily basis. Have a good quality of tap beer plus others. Has a highfloor dance floor where entry is restricted or I guess cover charge. Friday and Saturday is overly crowded. We went up at 1 in morning for beer and we had to be line on Saturday early morning types. Good spot to hang out.

Used to go here on a regular basis but stopped as I no longer work in the city. Have not been here in about 2 years. Used to be good food friendly staff and stewards., spook disappointed. Went here for food and a dance . The bar staff unfriendly no smile too busy chatting to there friends than pay atten6to people at the bar needing service. Had a chicken burger and Chips. The chips were reheated ,the chicken was over cooked and greasy. Asked for vinegar for the chips and got given vinegar salad dressing ... are and that took 3 people to figure it out. Please have staff on the bar that can understand English and speak it. Became More an Asian hangout than anything else . Used to be good for all cultures. Won't be going back soo disappointed as it used to be my local and its went down hill BIG time.

This place has three different levels that offer very different experiences depending on the night of the week and the time of day. We stopped in several time for food, which was always good and pretty quick to the table. We also got drinks. Like anywhere else in Sydney, they measure their pours, but the bar staff are friendly and responsive. We also enjoyed the club music on the third floor one weekend night. It was a very different crowd and atmosphere but still great music and quite fun. There’s a bar in each floor, so no running up and down stairs to get drinks. Overall a good time each time we visited.

Headed to the monkey's the first night after arriving into Sydney for a solo pint as the missus went and caught up with a few of girl friends which, wasnt really my vibe. I was greeted with cold pints and friendly service. It was right next to my hotel and become the local watering hole for the 4 days. Was a great place to sit have a few pints and each some chicken wings. Ill be back for a few more sessions one my return.

As a relatively central bar on George Street it can be seen as a generic type of relaxing bar filled with sports and gaming machines. On the weekends there are special nights that are held and the top floor is a night club which is usually opened. These events often come with a cover charge but that's understandable as it can often get extremely busy.

Whenever we have a gig to attend at the Metro, 3WM is always our go to to kick off the evenings festivities. It's in a great location - easy to get to via public transport, an just a short stroll to Metro. The beer is always cold (so i'm told, i'm a vodka girl myself) and the food is always filling and tasty.

Good pub over 3 floors with decent stock on different liquors. Really Good dancing music (house remix, non-commercial), maybe a little to loud for my taste if you want a smooth chat. Although having a really decent stock on gin, there seems to be no culture in Australia regarding this topic. Only one type of Tonic, tastes like Schweppes, noone can tell, no play with spices or fruits. It's like you'd order whiskey/cola. It doesn't matter how good or expensive the whiskey is when you kill it in cola, right? But it seems to be a problem with Australia not having developed that culture yet, so there's still a chance.

Good environment and best Dj’s Been here for more than 3 years regularly but the Manager on Sunday He got great attitude first time was kicked out from 3 wise monkeys Not because I drink too much or fight with anyone . I was just telling the manager who was serving in bar that I waited for 5 min for my drinks and he was serving his friends he wanted to show some attention to his friend that he is superior I talked with him with respect even all the security guard was supporting me coz they know I just had a drink I even Asked the manager to check the cameras If I was drunk bt his attitude omg after 2 weeks I went there and I just grab a drink at 10 pm and He asked the security to kick me out at 10:02 I asked security guard about the reason why I was kicked out And He (nepalese manager) couldn’t talk to me coz he just got attitude. Everyone complains about him idk why Bt I always showed him respect coz I knw he struggled alot from glassy to manager .

This bar is the go to for locals and is located across from World Square. The beers are always good and cold and the food is typically what you would find at a pub or bar. Service is always good and it can get very busy on most weekends as well as Friday nights.

Beautiful old bank building that has been turned into a pub. As they're are lots of backpackers places around, this place reminds me of a pub in the UK - Sport on TV and they serve pints. Beautiful big old windows that open up which you can sit at and watch George Street go by. Toilets are always downstairs and although clean they had a 1960s feel to them. It's not a bad pub, however it's not brilliant either.

I booked out the mezzanine for a xmas function with 2 days notice. They were the only bar to get back to me with no fuss, no hassle about deposits/minimum spend or preordering food. Although not the classiest bar in town, they have good beer on the draughts and were so easy to deal with.

Was used to be a very nice place. We had a birthday party and we enter the pub (that was charging a fee for the entrance). Thw place was initially empty. When it got full after 30minutes, we got told by a bouncer that we were not allowed to keep alcohol in the premises. We couldnt get what he meant and then he was referring to a bottle of wine that was inside a bag and was sealed. That was a present for my friend. We asked if they could hold the present for us until we leave. We got told they couldnt. We had then to leave the place. Why couldnt they tell us when we entered the place? Couldnt they hold the present for us? Is it really regulation or a lie?

Head upstairs and dance with the Live band or DJ always playing dance floor favourites. Will always be crowded on a saturday night, usually a friendly crowd. Definitely not a fancy establishment but a whole lot of fun!

Need a place to find refuge in the middle of the CBD? Then the 3 wise monkeys might be for you! It is getting a bit old and tired, but the subdued lighting means you can't see too much of it!! My advice is to hit the stairs and grab a booth style couch on the second level for a great place to unwind with friends before or after movie and dinner!! There is a smaller bar up there and you escape the hustle and bustle of George St! Their range of beers is not bad, but nothing special and food was plain, simple but filling.....I'm sure there are better, but not a bad place to kick up the heels!!

The best thing about this place is it's easy to find and conveniently located. With several areas you can usually find a nice spot to relax. The place isn't too loud and the staff generally know what they're doing. Prices aren't fantastic, but you can't be perfect.
