We stayed at the Penthouse on the road side of the Pavillion. The balcony is semi inclosed with plants and palm trees, however isn't relaxing due to the road. The room is quite dark due to the overgrown plants on the balcony. The management need to work out who is responsible for maintaining the balcony, as it was uncared for, dirty and the furniture neglected. I politely suggested a leaf blower at reception to an unfriendly receptionist who just churned out the bill. The Penthouse has a vast living space, a bedroom and and an under equipped kitchen with the smallest cutting board I've ever seen and a blunt knife. The decor has a modern beach vibe which is lovely and also comfortable. Slightly odd location in Mollymook suburbia. No view of the beach, however the beach is only a short walk away. For the price of the penthouse Bannisters Pavilion need to do better on maintenance. The staff were friendly most of the time.

Really enjoyed the quality of the food and the service was just wonderful. Such a nice relaxing place to come eat. Would live to come back again.
R.
Excellent staff, very accommodating and helpful. Absolutely beautiful hotel and restaurant. On the expensive side but not something you would do every weekend. It's a beautiful one off weekend to spoil yourself.
k. P.
Lovely food well presented. Very busy restaurant. The wsit time could have been shorter. They did make a mistake with our order but were very quick to correct it. Tbe staff were friendly and polite.
L. F.
It’s great heaps of food the chicken burger is massive! Will be back looks like a great place to stay too!
D. T.
Great experience....jem for the south coast. ... our waiter wasn't attentive... we didn't get our side dish but afterall it was great with friends specially..
W. J.
Terrific place to stay and the food in the restaurant and at breakfast were top notch. It's just a shame the we couldn't stay longer.
N. D.
We ate at roof top restaurant, the staff were friendly, the service was efficient and the food was excellent.
D. P.
Lovely warm hospitality from everyone, beautiful large rooms. The Restaurant is great, I had a perfect steak . I enjoyed everything about my stay here.
D. H.
Amazing food and service. We were so impressed! Lovely staff!
J. L.
Lovely decor. Food was excellent. Service prompt & pleasant. Parking. Easy walk to nearby beach.
M. D.
Great food, good coffee and wonderful cocktails. Relaxed rooftop atmosphere overlooking the outdoor pool. Limited in size so book to be sure to get a table. Prices are not cheap but good quality. Can be a little noisy when full. Family friendly but better for older kids not toddlers I suspect
A.
Great location , staff , facilities , restaurants were amazing , most certainly would recommend
K. G.
Beautiful hotel, comfortable rooms and great restaurant. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended.
C. V.
Such a wonderful experience I had. The place and staff where absolutely great. Definitely coming back again.
J.
Food was amazing. Perfectly steak, sizable portions. Limites menu though, but what they do, they do very well.
Longish wait on food so don't be in a hurry.
Good service otherwise and a nice venue.
A. M.
The staff was amazing, the rooms perfect, the food stunning, just need proper beer glasses, not these soda pop glasses for a $10 beer
M. M.
Beautiful place. Well thought out in every aspect. The pool side bar and dining is excellent. Food here is obviously going to be good and certainly was. We had dinner and breakfast. Both were great. The design of this place is excellent. Rooms have wifis and all expected to get work done if you need. Staff were on point. Great location near the beach.
R. B.
This was a very enjoyable place would recommend to anyone staff were amazing thanks for looking after us when we are back in the area for more holidays we will be back 😀😀😀
C. P.
Room was great, all the staff were very nice and friendly. We ate at the rooftop restaurant upstairs and the bbq chicken with tortilla was to die for, seriously the best chicken I’ve had- so nice and tender! Only downside was we only stayed for 1 night, we’ll definitely be back and stay for 2 nights next time!
B. S.
The place was nice, however the price was not worth it. We tried the rooftop restaurant and the service was good, on the contrary, the food you get (in terms of its quality and quantity) was poor/not good, and the price was expensive.
C. H.
We always enjoy our stay. Great staff, great food and great bed. 👍👏
J. R.
Fresh and super tasty food. Wonderful fresh fusion food that totally satisfies the eyes, tongue and tum! Beautiful sun drenched room is a superb place to relax with family and friends. Service was also wonderfully warm and friendly too. Looking forward to visiting and eating there again soon!
L. P.
Great cocktails but the service is a let down. Not bad staff just not enough of them. Poor management
N. M.
Really enjoyed the rooftop bar and lounging by the pool. Food and drinks A+++
A. G. U.
Great experience. Wonderful staff, fantastic room, bed soooo comfortable. Ate in roodftop restaurant and it was splended. Overall a wonderful experience.
E. W.
Ate at the rooftop restaurant. Brilliant service, great food. A gem on the south coast. I'd love to stay there as well
J. B.
Great food and friendly service. Nice bar too!
R. W.
Nice staff but slow service. Should have a drink on table and nibbles immediately on arrival. One staff member busy on cell phone. Burger bun industrial and awful. Tacos soggy. Humus good. Wine labels unknown. Disappointing.
M. L.
Food was lovely. Our waitress was fantastic. She went over and above with her service.
B. W.
A wonderful experience and a personal favourite. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food, beverages and facilities are top notch. Can be a bit pricey but worth every penny. I make it a regular when I need a sneaky getaway out of Sydney.
P. L.
Beautiful location, nice rooms but it's the staff that sets it's apart, so helpful and friendly and made for such a nice stay
L. G.
Amazing food, decent portions and good service. However it would be advisable to book ahead. Or try to be seated before 12pm, in order to find table......Pavililion please bring back the beef skewers, we love them winter and summer.
B. M.
Great place for fancy but not super expensive feed. Steak quite good.
M. o. K. A.
Excellent food and service. Ambiance was upbeat and smooth. Look forward to returning and enjoying more delicious seafood.
A. M.
This place is the Bomb fricken Diggity!!! Casual..great eats..beautiful drinks..awesome atmosphere!!!
S. D.
Food and service is fantastic, but not worth the price per night.
L. L.
Amazing place to stay in beautiful mollymook with a great restaurant upstairs with live music on weekends
J. C.
Lovely casual hotel with a relaxed atmosphere and great food. We loved our short stay at the hotel and will surely return.
F. V. T.
Great place to stay with very nice rooms and really friendly staff.
A. W.
We loved our time at the Bannisters Pavilion. Great fit out, food and service. Would recommend.
G.
We had a delightful family get together here, and enjoyed the lovely food and drinks this place has to offer. I was very satisfied, I think the set menu could have had more variety - still great choices. I was just jealous of the burgers I saw floating around. The staff are very patient, especially to big groups and extremely friendly. Will be back for a romantic get away soon :)
K. C.
Beautiful coastal decor. Loved the Rooftop cafe for a casual but delish lunch. The service was great and staff were very friendly and helpful. The prices were very reasonable and I liked that the kitchen stays open for most of the day.
B. D.
Fabulous weekend Get away. Total relaxation with delectable food and wine. We look forward to seeing you again very soon !
M. R.
Great selection of food and excellent atmosphere. Everything was delicious.
P. W.
A really beautiful location with some good food. The restaurant is on the top floor and has a stylish interior, good drinks, a good selection of craft beers and serves some delicious food. Unfortunately, I only had the time to take a picture of the burger as the other plates were gone too quickly :) definitely worth paying a visit!
L. V.
Had a fabulous weekend away. Very spacious room with beautiful furnishings and a delicious breakfast. Will certainly return soon. Even left a cable in the room and the lovely girls at reception found it and posted it home for me. Excellent service.
C. J.
What amazing accommodation in an amazing place. I really shouldn't be writing a review because this place is really on of the best kept secrets on the south coast. Great for families, of which I don't have one, but also a great escape for a dirty weekend with the mistress or gf. This is the best place to stay, and probably the least affordable if your on a budget. It has a great restaurant.
J. H.
Nice setting let down by poor service. Went there twice in a week and both times received poor service which was disappointing given the prices
S. M.
Great food and excellent cocktails! Little bit of a wait for our table but not fussed as food was worth it :)
A. K.
Excellent place to stay on the south Coast. Beautiful rooms with great packages and the roof top restaurant is an easy way for excellent and affordable food.
T. W.
Great decor vibe and feel. Good food and service.
J. R.
Was a nice place with great food and good decor.
R. L.
Great accomodation and friendly staff, couldn't ask for better service
J. G.
100% would recommend! Food was amazing - every meat dish was cooked to perfection. The aromas from the kitchen are just sublime. Service was good. Ambience was stellar!
K. B.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, just a little slow on busier nights
S. N.
Tasty meals. Good service. Menu a little limited though.
N. A.
Excellent meal, perfect service. Cannot fault it. They even gave us a courtesy car back to our accommodation. We would definitely return.
R. B.
One of very few places of its kind in the Mollymook, Ulladulla and Milton area. The restaurant is nice enough, a tad pricey and the staff could do with a bit more warmth. Not bad however not hanging to go back anytime soon.
J. S.
From check in to check out the service was amazing. Rooms large and airy, bed comfy and plenty of hot water too.
Breakfast was a delight and the barista coffee a wonderful start to the day
Bannisters restaurant was closed the night we were there for dinner but had a tasty meal at the Pool Bar.
Well done everyone!
R. V.
Highly recommend for any couple wanting to relax for the weekend

S. L.
Excellent stay in a fine luxury hotel. Great staff, clean and well appointed, comfortable room. Fantastic courtesy bus to Rick Stein's restaurant.
W. O.
Great place for a short holiday, food and service
S. F.

J. H.
We came here to enjoy their cocktails and beer selection. Staff were friendly, wine selection was superb. My partner was very happy with the beers on tap. Lovely atmosphere
K. N.
Super nice hotel. Always booked so make sure you get in early
C. B.
Good decor, great soundtracks, helpful staff, great room size and bathroom, nice dining area
P. G.
Return visit! Love this place! The staff are always so friendly and helpful! The food and cocktails are 10 out of 10! We will be back😎👍
L. T.
Had the best meal in the restaurant! Highly recommend the slow cooked beef cheek. Devine! 🤤
B. W.
I’ve enjoyed many a cocktail upon the rooftop. But my favourite thing about this place is the lovely staff who are there to help every step of the way.
G. r.
Meal nice small menu choice and tables small very nice food very nice staff very helpful pleasant
b. o.
Ate lunch at the restaurant and the food was good but not great. Long wait as well.
P. a. V. W.
Excellent staff , lovely venue
My only complaint would be the amount of information required about myself eg dob in order to log into the wi fi . I like my privacy and so was disappointed that I could use it .
S. H.
Stayed here for one night just after their reopening due to COViD-19. This hotel is fantastic. Easy check in and free underground parking made the stay top notch. We stayed in a classic pavilion room and it was clean, comfortable and finished with nice styling touches. The pool on the roof would be much more appreciated in the warmer seasons, however we still enjoyed the rooftop area on a sunny afternoon. We ate Dinner and breakfast at the rooftop and would highly recommend both, there are a few other options 100m down the road at the plaza if needed. Great location and I look forward to staying again in the future.
T. S.
Excellent food and professional service in a lovely atmosphere. Thank you
D. H.
Stayed in the penthouse apartment! The place was huge and extremely modern but comfortable!
Well equipped kitchen and amazing gas lit fireplace made this place ultra fantastic! Would def stay again!
P. F.
me wife and 2 kids under 2 years had an enjoyable night. we hope to visit again
S. S.
Great place. Friendly, helpful staff.
Would recommend
B. H.
Amazing hotel to stay in. Love the rooftop bar and restaurant.
G. S.
Such a great vibe here. From the awesome aquarium-attacking waiter to the bar staff to the receptionists, all staff are warm, lovely, friendly and what you expect from the venue.
Food is great, wine list perfect.
Only areas for improvement which would be driven from the top policy-wise would be taking people’s bags to their rooms for them if they go to get lunch while you get their room ready... Watching a client drag their heavy bag to the lift needs interrupting, and stopping, if seen. Same for valet parking downstairs. We were told to park “underground” but on doing so, it was full and we ended up parking back where we were. Valet parking would avoid this frustration. The pool needs more towels by it for recliners. Breakfast being included was a nice touch and was spot on. Thanks guys. See you soon.

It's so classy, so beautiful, lovely grounds and restaurant, rooms so amazingly gorgeous, it's just such a shame it's so expensive to stay 😱
C. d. R.
Excellent food. Attentive and friendly staff
C. A.
Great atmosphere and service. Very ordinary, overpriced menu.
T. V.
Nice place to stay, rooms are nice and spacious, comfortablebed and pillows. Front rooms a little noisy which was a surprise, the small street is quite busy. A few more cushions on the chairs would be a bonus. Beaches close by.
R. D.
We had a great stay and appreciated the warm hospitality from all the team. Rooms a very well designed and comfortable, the rooftop bar & grill is great for a poolside drink or dinner.
J. W.
There was nothing about our stay that we didn't like. Everything was exceptional. The addition of a coffee pod machine would add to the experience.
D. J.
Service great food better, prices fair
J. M.
Nice modern hotel set in peaceful surroundings. Perfect for couples for a weekend getaway.
S. P.
We had a nice stay (second visit to a Bannisters) I would say that our room was spacious but got no sun throughout the day so felt damp. There were issues with our shower (kept going boiling hot every 30 seconds) on the first day I mentioned to reception and they said they will get maintenance in - I didn’t hear back from them and there were issues the whole time) toilet was also super super noisy all day/night). Breakfast was disappointing - I think for the price the hot brekkie should be included and I couldn’t eat from the continental as it was very gluten heavy. The staff were friendly and it was a lovely place. We ended up going to the sister hotel as the water views were there and would probably stay there in the future. Whilst this hotel is close to the beach, there are no water views and it’s a walk away.
R. W.
Came in for a drink and a nibble at the bar. Ended up staying for several drinks and several nibbles at the bar. Service was a little bit slow but it was a Saturday night and the vibe, drinks and food were all excellent. Will come back purely for the espresso martini
S. S.
Spent the weekend here with my husband for our anniversary. What a great experience! Beautiful hotel with stylish but relaxed coastal decor. The room was lovely and very comfortable - only complaint is the shower didn't have a door that closed completely (I know that's trendy but water gets everywhere). Staff were fantastic. Loved the rooftop bar and heated pool. Continental buffet breakfast was delicious with chia puddings, homemade mini quiches, and good quality smoked salmon with all the accompaniments as well as the usual cereal and toast. There's a regular shuttle bus to their other hotel, Bannisters by the Sea, where we also went for an outstanding dinner at the Rick Stein restaurant. I've already recommended Bannisters Pavilion to several people and can't wait to go back!
R. G.
Nice atmosphere on a hot day, away from the street. Expensive
A. W.
Great atmosphere, good food & service with a smile
G. H.
Relaxed atmosphere, great location and fantastic food.
A. D.
Probably the best ulladulla has to offer but weirdly expensive menu and pretty amateur service. Wines and beers selection are reasonable though and the food was OK.
r. s.
Lovely stay , amazing service , would highly recommend this boutique hotel.
M. F.
Great atmosphere great food great music great service....highly recommend this place.
S. W.
Loved the room, beautiful breakfast setting and easy stroll to the beach.
s. C.
Really nice place for a getaway. A few days wasn't enough!
N. F.
Every dish we had was incredible, great service
F. C.
The hotel is very light and airy, a tropical feel to it. It's also a good size, just two levels of rooms so it blends in with the nearby trees.
The Rooftop Bar and Grill served some excellent food.
What I was disappointed about though was the "choice" of coffee in the room. Very rarely these days do you see the rather pathetic little sachets of freeze dried instant coffee. Maybe in cheap motels. Definitely not in a hotel costing as much as this one does. Fresh coffee is just about a standard offering everywhere you go now and Bannisters would do well to keep up.
To make matters worse, I thought I'd have a couple of good coffees with breakfast, until I was informed that I could only have the "one that is included in the price".
Good grief.
D. F.
Great staff - lovely rooms - fantastic breakfast !
T. G. H.
Great decor. Loved the lobster pot lights. Friendly staff
R. B.
Fantastic time away with our 4yo and 1.5 yo. Beautiful designed rooms, comfortable and functional for families....and quiet . Poolside area is gorgeous and the dining - delicious. All staff are super friendly, helpful and welcoming.
D. R.
Staff work hard to make it a good experience, simple food well done but let down by poor location. Room overlooked a car park. Generously proportioned bathroom and at this price, would have expected a bathtub. Easy to get confused when booking with the other Bannisters down the road.
R. B.
Stayed in a standard room, and the standards are high. Large and well appointed room and friendly staff add to the beauty of the place. The glamorous rooftop serves reasonable food and drinks
M. L.
Waited 20 minutes for cocktails and then 30 minutes for mains, corn was warmed from frozen, not cooked and flowery, but ribs were awesome and very nice building, bar and restaurant
S.
Beautiful spot. Friendly staff. Clean room.
L. E.
Fantastic food and service. I recommend it.
M. G.
Everything was of the highest standard - the room, the common area, the service and the food. A special thanks to Kim for looking after us.
G. C.
Cocktails were very nice, service was great and good atmosphere. Very pricey though, $18-20 a cocktail is a touch to much.
M. C.
Fabulous staff, generous drinks, friendly atmosphere
D. M.
What a beautiful place to have dinner with my family and friends
C. B.
Booking was easy and communication prior to arrival good without being fussy. Checking-in was quick and seamless, public areas look great and offer space for waiting comfortably. Can't remember room number but was a ground floor room elevated one level at the back of the hotel looking out into dense bush. The room was spacious, decent bathroom, balcony, fridge, all the usual features and nicely fitted out. Bed was massive, comfortable and offered a choice of pillows although the standard ones were just fine. We opted for the included continental breakfast, you can upgrade to cooked options for an additional charge but it really wasn't necessary. There was a plentiful choice of cereals, breads, pastries, cold cuts, fruits, the list goes on... Many items appeared to be home made, standouts being the fritatas, muesli and preserves. Proper barista coffees and premium teas were included and offered repeatedly whilst plates were being cleared promptly.
Reception were helpful throughout, arranging transport to the sister hotel and local vineyard. All the staff were friendly and approachable throughout our stay. Can't fault the place.
L. M.
My hubby and I are local and luv eating at the Pavilion. We recently stayed the night and were given an upgrade.... WOW!!! The Penthouse was so beautiful I have booked it for two night plus adjoining room for a few nights in January.... The food, service and decor is fab.!..we travel a lot and like the finer things in life...we have added Bannisters Pavilion to the list of what we love...well done!!!
J. N.
Beautiful place, nice and friendly staff.
J. C.
It's nice good pizzas friendly service
A. F.
A peaceful atmosphere. Food was delicious!
G. W.
We went on a luxury escapes deal and was very nice , room was big and over looked carpark and bush but could hear the surf and almost see the beach from our room . There is a restaurant, bar and pool upstairs and our stay included a full breakfast as well which included very good coffee and eggs made to order . Bar was a little overpriced as was the restaurant but overall was a nice stay
W. S.
Great service and food,terrific atmosphere
T. K.
This place is very comfortable, staff are very friendly and accommodating.
W. K.
Chilling at Bannisters Rooftop Bar at the end of Aust Day long weekend. Nice spot....just missing the beach views.
M. C.
Excellent food. Accommodating to young children.
C. J.
Bannisters was a really nice get away for my husband and i. The rooms were nice and the resturants were amazing. The staff were helpful and very friendly.
P. B.
Started off eating at Rick Stein's restaurant, this was amazing! Very fresh seafood and great service.
Check into Banisters Pavillion, beautiful hotel and nice staff.
Hotel room 209 clean and appealing but at about 7pm when I was trying to settle my son into bed the loud banging above our room from the 2nd level started! Went to reception and asked for ear plugs but couldnt help me and this went on until about 11pm, it sounded like people were dragging furniture around for 4 hours. and then started again at about 6.45am. Which isnt what you want to be experiencing when trying to relax. When I went to breakfast I think it's the coffee machine in the kitchen area. Each time they clean the coffee out they bang it on the dispenser.
I'm sure it's not all rooms would experience this but was an issue with my room.
Beds slightly sagged in the centre, seems to be 2 singles pushed together so is in the middle of each mattress, maybe due to replace or a mattress topper could really come in handy.
Food at breakfast was great and good selection and same with room service menu.
Y. O.
My wife and I stayed in the Penthouse. The room was very roomy and cosy. The rooftop pool and bar were also nice. We booked a table at Rick Steins restaurant at Bannister's by the seas which is approximately 10 minutes walk but the hotel offers shuttle bus service which I found to be very convenient. The hotel is also proximity to Mollymook beach. Absolutely deserves a 5 stars!
M. B.
The Rooftop at the Pavilion is a great place for casual dining. Staff are wonderful kfintalk to offering great menu suggestions, and the food is great value for money
L. R.
As usual good food, wine, and a pool view.

G. B.
Great service,,delicious meal...
J. G.
Amazing luxurious plesent staff could not have wished for more
A. L.
Well appointed, tastefully decorated and low key place to stay near the beach in Mollymook. Rooftop bar and grill a great spot for a pre-dinner drink and bar food with a large but private deck and pool. Breakast options a little limited considering the star rating, but aside from that, a great place for a long weekend away.
M. P.
Went for lunch, best meal we have enjoyed in Ulladulla region.
J. R.
Great new joint and really good rooftop bar.
K. S.

M.
Nice location and atmosphere, however is expensive.
E. H.
Very relaxing, great service in a fantastic location.
J. A.
Very professional boutique hotel. All staff very personable, we dined at Rick Steins during our stay and were slightly disappointed. Minor complaints were gin & tonic presented with all tonic poured in!!! Most annoying was the bill was presented with 3 items not ordered or served. The staff dismissed the error then rectified it.
Lacked a Meeter/Greeter Maitre De to co-ordinate the diners experience.
j. s.
Top lunch. Great staff
T. P.

G. B.
Oustanding facilities, great rooms, heaps to do at Mollymook
G. W.
Bannisters Pavilion is a lovely boutique hotel in a quiet location. Our room was an above average motel room in size with a small balcony. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Dinner at the Rooftop Bar and Grill was great. We shared a number of small plates and that worked well for the 2 of us. Breakfast was included each day and was first class!
K. D.
A good spot to relax with a glass of wine & nibbles
P. M.
We were unable to get a reservation at Bannister by the sea, and while its sister accommodation, Bannisters Pavilion, doesn't have the ocean views it is lovely and modern with a rooftop terrace restaurant/bar overlooking the pool. The rooms are clean, well appointed and quite. Just what you want for quality sleep. Note it's only a very short walk to the ocean beach, though like most of Mollymook it's uphill/downhill. If passing through again, will make this a stopover accommodation.
K. D.
The best place to stay on the south coast.
R. g.
Good drinks and friendly service!
t. j.
Excellent food and atmosphere
F. W.
Great drinks, nice vibe.
b. m.
Firstly we were seated in a dark area to eat, this was rectified with no problems.
Secondly the prawn linguine my partner had only had 3 prawns in it-was more like a tomato linguine.
However my dish was delicious , fish of the day(snapper).
Nice atmosphere, if your passing it's a tick off the list but would not go out your way to dine here.
r. k.
Comfortable bright room witn view of bushland

R. M.
Great spot for a romantic get away
T. G.
Great lunch in a beautiful venue.

Very impressed with our 2 night stay at Bannisters. The staff are so welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. We were delighted with the efficient shuttle service to Rick Stein's and the hiring out of the paddleboards. Within 20 minutes (from requesting them) they were dropped up at Narrawallee Creek for us and collected when we were finished. We'll be back to play a game of chess in the foyer. Awesome hotel! PS. The mini bar is also very reasonably priced compared to most hotels for when you need a night time snack ;)
N. M.

J. F.
5 star experience with excellent service to match

The cranberry mocktail was cranberry juice with soda water, or something very basic like that for such a high price.
M. T.
Excellent food and setup.
L. F.
Lovely spot in a beautiful part of the world.
O. M.
Gorgeous decor, lots of trendy people, food delicious. However poor stressed staff under-manned. Starters took 45mins to come out, another hour for mains, dessert order got lost. Eating was a competition to beat the 1000 flies. They took only 2 drink orders within the first 2.5 hours. Don't they know tipsy customers complain less? Complimentary coffees for delays. 3rd star because the gorgeous Desserts rescued this review, phew!
