Stopped in for a beer before heading to the opera at Fleet Steps. Lovely atmosphere, thought it was great that they were pet friendly and dogs kept following their owners in. Slightly disappointed that the Foster's sign was just of historical significance and that I couldn't actually enjoy one, but settled for something else different that they had on tap instead!

This was a Private event and a perfect place. A no frills local with a great location, I hope that it is never bastardized like other pubs

Great to see the character and Naval history of the Bells Hotel has been retained. A charming, cosy pub with a great atmosphere and wonderful team. Many pubs in the area have been stripped of their personalities so this one is really worth a visit. Limited menu however great depth in their beverage range and the best location.

Nice old pub with loads of Royal Australian Naval and Port Jackson memorabilia. Staff are friendly and the tables are clean.

The staff is really amazing, good beers. We ordered a hot chocolate and a coffee whereas it wasn't their speciality but in fact they were really nice. The bar is authentic and spacious, and we appreciated the TV to watch the cricket game !

Great location - old-school feel. Bit expensive for local non-craft beer. Avoid going if a band/performer is on if you want conversation - really echoey.

Nice casual spot for pool and darts. The only thing is jukebox is broken, no matter now many times you put the money in - it still pays whatever it wants :( Bathrooms - so unclean and old that they remind me of a horror movie. Drinks and fries - standard just like any other pub. But amazing location. Also the darts are a bit broken :/

A fairly good local pub. Could use a lick of paint here and there, but the drinks a good value and there is a wide range. There's a lot of memorabilia from the Navy there, but I guess its close to the base, and you'll see a few sailors after work.

It's pretty much a classic pub. There's nothing special about the food, the range of beers or the ambience. There's also nothing wrong with the place. It's a standard pub. Pop in for a schooner of beer on a hot day.

I spend $10 a month to access millions of songs on my mobile smartphone and yet I come to this pub every week and put money into a jukebox. What would you play? Because unless it’s Aussie pub rock, better put in those ear pods and sit on the wharf. Jimmy Barnes. Australian Crawl. AC/DC. That’s the stuff. Pool tables gone through two skins in my time. The red coat retired a year ago. Now the green mossy felt matches the tributes to the Green Ghost - a mighty RAN ship. But while the middies are small, you leave haunted. Haunted by the image of HMAS Melbourne slicing another ship in half in the dead of the night, careful boys, she could be out there.

great location with old style pub feel. Dog/cat friendly so points. But needs to seriously diversify it's beers. No ipa. Only old and guinness for dark/stout lovers when most have moved on from these 2 flavourless generic drops. Very little variation across its selections which is disappointing given so many craft offerings now. Needs to get its toilets sorted though. Not ideal seeing wet footprints dragged into the common areas.
