We had such a great stay at Bundanoon Hotel. The room was clean, fresh and very comfortable, we had a room with a shared bathroom and it was very clean and easy. We enjoyed a nice meal at the pub - we didn't have to go anywhere. The staff throughout our whole stay were so welcoming and friendly, Thanks for a great stay.

Good country pub. Large outdoor area for summer drinks, pet friendly. Great selection of gin, and knowledge bar man, Tim. Menu and service in the bistro could be improved. Ordered pizzas and steaks, came separately with 25 minute gap in between. Makes it challenging to enjoy a meal with my family.

So, if I was to choose between a Westin Hotel and the Bundanoon Hotel, it would be a no brainer. However, patrons of this historic pub need to understand one concept - you pay for what you get. And in this instance, your stay will include: - a humbling experience, makes you appreciate what our forefathers once enjoyed, - a quiet location, you surprisingly cannot hear the busy pub and entertainment, and - reasonably well presented accomodation, based on the going rate. Do not stay at this pub if you have champagne taste with a beer bottle budget, and still believe you should be treated like royalty. Suitable for families with teenage kids.

Love this pub. A great outdoors area for kids to run around. It even has a pool open in summer. On winter days you can head inside by a large roaring fireplace and order a pint of locally brewed beer. Great food from the kitchen and amazing wood fired pizzas.

Well maintained hotel close to the train station. We stayed here for a night, we went with low expectations but left really happy and satisfied. The room was a decent size with a sink inside, lovely old hotel with a lot of character. The food was really nice, overall we enjoyed our stay here! Check in/out was smooth, no need to leave your credit card.

This is the kind of hotel you stay at if you just need a place to sleep, rather than relax and enjoy. I stayed in a double room with a shared bathroom on the ground floor. Room was decent and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, the windows were frosted so there were no views. Mobile reception was terrible and the wifi didn't work in the room. Shared bathroom amenities were similar to ones you'd find at sport and recreational centres. They were satisfactory. Service was fine and checking in and out was smooth. The location in front of Bundanoon Station, with the shops and cafes on the other side, makes it a convenient place to stay at. If you're dining on a budget, be aware that the pub is quite expensive, with most of the mains costing around $35.

Loved this place. 99 years old, boardinghouse style accommodation. Immaculately maintained. Delicious dinner downstairs, expensive but tasty. Across the road from the main Street. Next to the train line so gets a little noisy at times.

A Grand Hotel from a bygone era . Whats lacking , these days , by way of all the amenities of a modern day brass and glass hotel is more than made up for by it's old world charm . A place that feels comfortable to sit and chat with fellow guests and enquire about what brought them to Bundanoon . We loved it .

3 stars for the food and service. I had been looking forward to checking out this beautifully renovated old pub, but the food and service let us down. While we were grateful to get a last-minute booking for 7 people, 2 people in our party waited an hour for their meals because they simply forgot. The pub wasn't even that busy, we also saw other people get their meals who ordered after us. What made it worse was the outright lie they made the poor staff member tell us "it's coming in 5mins, they had to change the pasta (for the marinara dish)". It took another 30 minutes. They should have owned up to the fact that the meals were forgotten and offered an apology or some kind of compensation, like a free dessert for the kids we were with. When the meals finally arrived, the marinara had too much salt and the Thai chicken curry tasted like it came straight out of a jar. Perhaps they don't care about repeat customers, which is a mistake considering the town's proximity to Sydney. The only highlights were the rosé sangria and the guy who made it!

What a great little hotel! Was the perfect end to a day walking around Bundanoon. Lovely out in the sun having a few drinks and the food was beautiful. Even enjoyed the sound of the trains chugging past on the nearby railway lines. Highly recommend a visit.

Been twice, both times had great service. Decent food. Once there was a guy doing a gig out the back which we all enjoyed and the guy was great. Complaints about the menu being limited and such are crazy seeing as we’re blessed these guys have opened at all. I’ll be back 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇦🇺

We had a management retreat in the area and booked dinner reservations at the Bundanoon Hotel couple weeks ago in November. They were so warm and friendly and were so helpful with our requests. And the food was fantastic. I would definitely drop by again if I am passing through. Thank you to everyone at the hotel that made our dinner night out a wonderful experience.

We had an amazing stay here right before the lockdowns. Well kept, great food/bistro area, and friendly staff. The new pizza over was a nice touch and the wine selection superb for a local pub. Recently renovated accomodation, but maintains the classic hotel vibe. Some rooms have shared bathrooms so be conscious when you book. Thin walls/doors, but this is to be expected in a vintage property. Versatile option for couples, groups, or even a work retreat. Will definitely be back!

Honestly I just love how bloody brilliant this place is. For a pub that is well out of Sydney, and in the middle of a small town like this, they do an exceptional job at creating a very comfortable environment, having friendly staff, and delicious and well portioned food. I would recommend the chicken parmigiana, and trying some of the more expensive wine. Well worth it, will be back!

Good food. Service was Okay. Its difficult times with this Covid19 pandemic so it was good to get out and eat somewhere again. I would prefer we be given a table tab in the dining room however. Having to pay as you order and do so each time you want another drink is a bit frustrating. But I accept that this will probably change once (if ever) things return to normal.

We went to the Bundanoon Hotel for a large family lunch. The place had a great atmosphere for a Sunday afternoon including a live cover singer in the beer garden. The old hotel has maintained its heritage and charm. I love the smell of an old hotel when you walk in. It was 39 degrees out and the club was adequately cooled enough for comfort. The service was really good at the bar although oddly the bar is situated at the opposite end from the dining area so carting drinks back for everyone was a bit of a mission. Not really a problem. The menu was extensive and what you'd expect and hope for when going to "the pub". I had the tomahawk cut steak which was huge and cooked perfectly. The table service by Carol was wonderful and catered for everyone's needs. Before we left she commented to me how lovely it was to see a big family get together and enjoy lunch. Will definitely be back again when visiting the oldies. Next time for a beer in the garden as well.

Excellent wood fired pizza! In fact, the pizza we ordered was perfect in every way. Not too dry or moist, not too salty, not over or under cooked and it had a generous topping. The hotel is being restored and the bistro has the old Australiana bush feel. The stain glass windows are in good condition. It was a joy to visit the place.

But the queen room with no ensuite for 80 was bit rich and when they tried to charge me 89 but I quoted the online price luckily and got it for 80... Heater worked ok but no aircon for summer and room only has bed and draws plus a basin.

We weren't there for long. We were in search for a place to get dinner and maybe a drink. Firstly, this place is very unwelcoming from the outside. It looked locked up, with no obvious entry/exit. We walked around the whole place and eventually just pushed open a door. We ended up in a tiny hallway. Then pushed open another door - public bar. This is absolutely a local pub. It looks like it hadn't been renovated, and barely scrubbed in well over 30 years. It was a bit intimidating for those of us who are used to more contemporary bars and pubs. The woman behind the bar was very friendly and approached us right away. We were given instructions to the dining room. After walking through some more rooms, feeling a bit lost, we made it to the dining room. There was a reasonably sized menu, but the prices seemed rather steep for what was on offer. It was the basic bistro menu with upscale prices attached. We couldn't justify the prices for the underwhelming offerings so we went elsewhere. I would only ever consider returning if this place went under considerable renovations.

Room was okay, very old hotel building with carpets all over, in very remote location, there is no big food outlet like subway, mcdonalds nearby and even no big shopping center as well, I recommend this hotel if you are the great lover of heritage building and like to live in quiet and remote area. NO TV's in the room, Shower and toilet area is very small. No flyscreens on our window so we can't able to open up to get some fresh air from outside. Train station very close the hotel and so you can hear the trains going past in night time as well.

This hotel which is gradually being refurbished and is the best value for money out of all the accommodation in the area.. It is warm and comfortable, the breakfast standard is 5 stars. The large formal lounge, with an open fire sets the scene for good conversation. There is a large traditional billard table for adults,communal TV and a room which can be used for conferences or soirees,scottish ceildh as Brigadoon in April. The bedrooms thankfully do not have TV. Mattresses have been updated. There is easy access to the railway, some people may prefer a quieter room off the road, personally I love trains . They are infrequent. Great mountain walks,cinema,cafe and shopping available.

Didn't stay just had lunch. good location with great opportunities for sitting out side. The food was pretty average with a typical bar menu. I don't know if the restaurant for dinner is different. I also didn't check out the accommodation options. I would only recommend this for a convenience

Back after two years and kitchen was being renovated, so expect limited menu, was was good. 'New?' manager was very friendly and accommodating and was a man with many hats. He did really well keeping the place running. Needs more bar staff through the day, although the evening was sufficiently resourced. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and we had a good stay. The kids games room had no games and the lounge was occupied by kids :-), which made some guesses upset.
