Great course to play, long but a nice challenge. One gripe I have is that for a Saturday comp you do not find out your tee time until the evening before, which makes it hard to plan..I usually play elsewhere because of this. Every other club can book you in on the spot. Also no details on competition calendar/program.. Other than that, Ryan (the pro) and his team are great and the course is always a pleasure to play.

Charlestown Golf Club is a great place to play either competition or social golf. Rated one of the hardest courses in Newcastle for a good reason (quite hilly in a number of areas) but it is not too hard for any standard of player.

I like this course but the greens really disappoint, for mine. Too sloped on the front and too two paved on the back spoils an otherwise pleasant course

The course is looking great after recent rain. The course has dried out and the green staff are mowing to have it in perfect condition.

Good course, well maintained, one of the better things about the course was the free ranging pair of labradors, unfortunately some d.s. complained about such wild animals roaming free & were a serious threat. Next they'll want leashes on the crows
