Went here on a Friday night. It was quite full and noisy. There weren't many tables, so you would have to enjoy your drink at the bar, until someone leaves a table. The cocktails were a bit pricey, but the bar had a nice rustic look to it. Don't forget your ID, as they check it at the entrance.

Lovely interiors and ambience of the place. The outdoor seating is amazing if the the weather is good and you get lovely views of the historic Queen Victoria Building. The cocktails are fantastic and are presented in a very interesting way. You might want to grab them from the counter itself incase you want to have them faster and avoid paying extra charges.

Nice and dark bar,with touch 9f style and groovy tunes ,played live by some talented bands. The crowd is over 30 ,so it's pretty settled atmosphere. Gets busy on Fridays and Saturdays. Overall is good place to visit. Yet,need massive improvement on their bathroom maintenance

What a pleasant surprise! Rich in character, dark, leathery, almost instinctively made me feel like a good whiskey or a full size Guinness. I went there a little before peak hour which I believe gets quite busy and could sometimes include live jazz performances - God willing, I'll be back for one of those in the near future. Not sure if I want to really recommend it too widely - it almost feels like I would selfishly like to keep it to myself as a secret city hideaway. ;)

Beautiful vintage bar with 130 year old marble finishes. The paintings in the bar are also extremely old and valuable. One of my favourite places to grab a drink as it’s one of the few bars that doesn’t get too loud or crowded. Ideal place to go with a friend for a whiskey and good conversations.

A cool bar located in the basement level of the Hilton Hotel Sydney, it is actually a Sydney institution. I have been here quite a few times, and I have to say if you like live music, cocktails, and a relaxed upmarket vibe, this is your place! Definitely worth checking out the bar during happy hour between 6:00pm and 8:00pm (at the time of writing) where the alcoholic drinks are starting from $8.00 and cocktails starting from $15. They have a snack menu and I tried the arancini balls ($13) and the pizza (~$22), both were pretty good. if you are visiting Sydney I recommend stopping in for a drink. enjoy. Tip: read about the History of the Marble bar. It’s fascinating.

This place is amazing its like stepping back to 1930s - 40s with marble & decor and with the jazz tunes flowing ambience is worth 4 stars along. It's a bar where you come to chill and enjoy the company. The staff are nice and drinks everything you could want the happy hour cocktails are fun and delicious.

Only ever been here on a Friday night for Brown Sugar, but I always like the vibe. Decor feels classy and the older crowd makes it less messy than the other places to dance in the city. One downside is that it gets crowded leaving not much room to dance (two stepping and head nodding allowable).

The bar surely looks very nice. The beer and food could be better however. The humongous line at around 10pm where I waited for 50 min and eventually gave up was certainly not worth it. Got in the next day and 20 min was more than enough to see the nice decor.

Great bar and it's been part of the Sydney bar scene for many many years. It pays to arrive there early and as with most places in Sydney don't arrive as a group of guys or you might have difficulty getting in. Service when it's not busy is great, but as the bar reaches full capacity service can be quite difficult to get to especially when people decide to drink at the service area.

Really good aesthetic and overall vibe (god I hate using that word but there it is). The overall atmosphere is sometimes at odds with the dancing/music you would find on a Saturday when the floor opens up, but understandable as they want to get a big crowd in. Food is not on the cheap side, but it does have a a couple of good choices for vegetarians. The cocktails are also quite good, though some of them have no description of the ingredients, which is a bit strange. They also offer table service for a 10% surcharge I believe, but that might be for weekends (have only been there once). Worth a return visit for me

Beautiful bar! They have a great happy hour menu of 4 or so cocktails ($15) and beer/wine ($8) between 6-8, otherwise cocktails are on the pricier side ($20-$25ish). The cocktails are really delicious and I would have recommended the lychee rose martini.

Can be very crowded. Sticky carpet and pungent smell spoil other great venue, tho physically mall. Bands are great but can get very loud so not best place to chat. Expect high prices too for drinks: $12 for a standard beer, ouch. Try happy hours.

Very nice venue interior made of all marble. The bar has a prestigious heritage feeling, and the drinks match the venue quality. Work mates and I went there before an awards dinner at the Hilton and it was the perfect way to start off our night. The cocktails were amazingly refreshing and the atmosphere was good for a group like ours to chat and laugh away.

I've visited this fancy little place on both peak and non-peak nights. Have to say I much prefer Marble on a quiet, rainy evening, with plenty of seats to choose from, zero waiting time and drinks being served to the table. The cocktails are fabulous, served at a reasonable size for the price, especially given the location. One would definitely be impressed by the marvellous, well-reserved architecture inside and would never be bored admiring the many Victorian details and the two well-lit bars across from each other. Busy nights kind of ruin the whole classy, stylish feel of the place; a visit on weekday evenings (except for Friday of course) may prove to be more impressive.

Came here for the first time on a Thursday. The environment is much nicer and more romantic compared to a Friday or a Saturday. Larger and Lion the band was there to play. Nice remix here and there. Really enjoyed our valentine's day here.

Guys! Let's try harder on the lighting! Fabulous Edwardian interior wasted without a bit of attention to lighting design. Use warm LEDS in all your fittings, get the plastic boxes off the paintings, lighten up the ceilings, tidy up the code-compliance emergency lighting, and maybe think about altering the entry stairs to match the Famous Bar instead of the current generic look.

Interesting decor in an unexpected locale in Sydney underneath the Hilton. Wide space underneath with a live stage and plenty of marble surfaces to go round! Nice tall ceiling capable bar staff. Seating can be a bit of an issue as there is not too much of it there.

I really do like this little bar. The atmosphere and general feel is great for cocktail drinks or pre-drinks before a show down the road at the state theatre (only a couple of metres down the road). Can get quite busy after work hours between 5pm and 8pm, but still worth a visit when in the city on a Friday evening!! Staff are friendly and drink prices vary. can be expensive yet decently priced depending upon your order. Marble bar is wheelchair accessible through a lift from George St down to the bar area. Wheelchair accessible washroom facilities also located within the bar. Well worth a visit for a cocktail ;)

The Marble bar is one of the two amazing bars that the Hilton has to offer. This one in the basement, the other one on the roof. It's exactly the high calibre, fantastic kind-of party atmosphere you would expect from somewhere in the heart of the city. If you are looking for somewhere for a lively Friday drink, this is your joint.

The marble, bronze, mahogany et al work is clearly amazing. Cocktails very professionally made too. To get 5 stars they would have to replace furniture with genuine antique pecies rather than fake 1970s style sofas chairs and tables. I would also prefer glass than plastic cups, but there's not much they can do about that with their licencing laws.

I love this place on a Friday night, but come early because if you try to go in after 9.30PM, then it could be up til 10.30PM before you can go inside. I was staying at the Hilton, and happened upon this excellent bar. The cocktails were excellent, certainly the best cocktails I tasted during my stay in Sydney. Cocktails cost around 18-26 dollars per drink depending on what you're drinking, but worth every dollar. The décor in the Marble Bar is very cool and has to bee seen to believed, it gives the venue a great atmosphere, the bar staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks they were making. If you're staying in the Hilton Hotel I'd strongly recommend that you pop down and visit this venue to try a cocktail and soak up the atmosphere.

Ohh how some things stay the same. I was pleasantly surprised that the OLE Marble bar is serving the same purpose that it did in the 80s the 90s the 00s the early teens and now the late teens. Agood spot for people recently divorced or seperated or the eternally single to mingle and meet that special someone. As a person who visited during the 90s probably less than a handful of times very late at night it was fun to be a fly on the wall. Good on you Marble Bar for staying true to your roots.

Atmospheric cocktail bar hidden beneath the Sydney Hilton. When the Hilton was rebuilt a few years ago, the Marble Bar was hermetically sealed, so no construction materials could invade the area.
