Comments of Moore Park Golf Course
J. P.
Recently took my two boys-8 & 10-to hit a few balls at the Driving Range. I don’t play but thought that it would be a fun way to fill in an hour or two.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the facilities were fantastic and we had a great time-the boys really enjoyed themselves.
Am definitely going back and I would have no hesitation in recommending the Moore Park Gold Course Driving Range to anyone looking to brush up on their golf skills.
N.
The green heart and lungs of the city. Combining with Centennial Park Moore Park Golf Course is a great example of land banking. It will always be there.
E. M.
A great driving range and also a great course. Staff in the pro shop are super helpful and accomodating. If the cafe was open later I would give 5 stars (it is closing early at the moment)
N. B.
Another very solid inner west option. Happyfields for the most part brings solid coffee and American diner favourites to Haberfield. Pity the portions are a smidge on the small side and the Maple Syrup seems watered down but these are minor critics on what overall is a very solid offering...
D. H.
I've been playing here for around 2 years, the course is great, the staff are busy but very friendly and helpful (twice they've refunded me for being ill and missing a round). Only challenge is to be prepared for 4-5 hour rounds on the weekend due to the popularity of the place and the tee times are quite close together.
S. M.
Brilliant well maintained course, we played after heavy rain but it didn’t put a dampener on our day because its was all blue skies by the time we hit off & it’s just a beautiful place to play. It’s not an easy layout with some narrow fairways but there’s no water hazards & I managed to avoid any bunkers as well.
18 holes with a cart on a Thursday is $73.50 each but this seems to be the norm for the better courses around town when there’s no deals on offer. The pro shop is more than adequate & the golf range is a sight to behold, a golfing oasis.
The clubhouse has an outside area that opens early with a good variety of bottled beer & food & inside the club is very quiet & basic with a small menu of tasty meals & craft beers on tap.
The clubs website offers online bookings.

We just held our first Corporate Golf Day for a group of clients at Moore Park Golf Club and it was a great success. It is a fantastic course and they are very well ran and I would highly recommend to host your Corporate Golf event here.
p. L.
First time round take the buggy, a few long walks between holes. Other than that, course is playing so nice! :)
K. I.
Booked the Date night package on this place which included a bottle of prosecco, grazing box, 2 buckets of golf balls, free use of golf clubs and a reserved area. Definitely, coming back!
C. D.
Overall a very good experience here. From booking my round over the phone to getting sorted at the pro shop, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I will say I was surprised at how good a condition the course was in given the number of people that use the course every day. As is the case with most public courses, the fairways had quite a few divots not filled in, the greens littered with unrepaired pitch marks and although I managed to avoid the bunkers, most looked like they don’t get raked by players each time. However this is all down to poor player etiquette and course care rather than maintenance. I liked the layout and challenge of the course, although it was playing quite short the day I played with all 3 tees bunched forward together on several holes. I played early on a Monday morning so I was able to avoid the crowds and at $41 for 18 holes represents good value for a course in such a terrific location. No way would I go near the place later in the week or a weekend/public holiday, the green fees are a bit rich and it would be frustratingly slow and overcrowded. The driving range looks to be a great practice facility too. The pro shop is well stocked with all sorts of top class golf gear. Would love to come back and play again as long as it’s early morning on a Monday or Tuesday.
E. T.
A really good public golf course. However, it’s very slow and would benefit from a course marshall. Consider wearing a hard hat, no one shouts after errant shots.
O. K.
Beautiful course and driving range in a great location. The team is very friendly and couches are encouraging. Good place to be. Just all you need.
P. P.
I went to the driving range, was great fun an an excellent way to take out stress! Dont have to be a golfer! Very reasonable prices for bucket of balls & club. All the staff were friendly, cafe pretty good for a coffee. Great way to spend an hour or two. I'll be back for sure.
R. M.
Great golf course close to the Sydney CBD.. would highly recommend for a mid week hit out with friends or clients.. decently priced for a round of golf ($55 mid week tee off) the only downside is the lack of water fountains around the course - this can make playing torturous on a hot day!
A. K.
Fantastic place to play golf! In the middle of the city, fresh and a lot of space. Easy to hire balls and clubs. There is a big screen on the field screening sport events. Open to public, decent clothing is required.
J. A.
Enjoy Moore Park Going course. The course is kept in great condition and the staff and members are very friendly.
Ollie Gebert, one of the pros there, is an unbelievable coach!
I'm thinking of membership!
a. c.
Excellent golf range , pro shot staff could use a course in humility.
V. H.
This golf course with such a great city centre location deserves much more.
The course is quite boring, greens averagely maintained and 35 minutes of waiting time for cold veggie salad didn’t help the overall rating either.
The plus is definitely 3 storeys driving range with views...
L. S.
Nice place, within 5km drive to the city center, 3 floors driving range. Got plenty of spots to practice. highly recommend this place.
C. H.
The driving range is a great place to work on that swing. Love these facilities with 3 decks of driving bays, with automatic ball feeder bays located at each end.
Balls are reasonably priced and there are some clubs to borrow free for the non-regular. They're also open 'til late which is very handy.
P. C.
Only downside is the rubber tees are way too high, they should give you two sizes to choose on each platform
M. G. B.
Excellent golf course with tremendous facilities including a brilliant 3 level driving range, canteen & well staffed pro shop. It’s a tough, challenging, enjoyable layout with the fairways & greens kept in immaculate condition. Yes there’s plenty of golf courses in Sydney but Moore Park is one of the better public clubs & is always busy with plenty of golfers having a hit.
E. B.
So professional! Immaculately maintained driving range. Great staff
E. C.
Great facilities. And lots of it. Even though it can be a busy place can always find a spot on the range.
A. M.
A nice experience, however more vibe would make it better.
There wasn’t any music and it was pretty quiet.
J.
We went to the driving range which was a great time. Unfortunately the female staff member in the shop today was exceptionally rude with an abrasive attitude and the hire clubs are in terrible condition with loads of dents. One was even cracked. Otherwise would be back.
R. N.
Long wait and no staff supervising the area. The facility is huge with 3 levels, plenty of spots to pick from. During peak hours staff should try and manage how long people can stay, also mark which spots are free; it would make the experience more enjoyable as people don't have to constantly go onto different levels to find a free spot.
R. “. D.
Came here for a Sunday morning. Loved the place. The driving range is really nice. Not sure why there is a massive screen in the driving range though and it blocks some visibility. Overall the equipment is good and makes for an enjoyable Sunday morning activity. The coffee and food at the cafe is also really good.
M.
Love this place. Great staff. Some of the mats on the range are a bit tired and will test your iron skills. Hard to believe you are on the lip of the city. Nights with the big screen are cool. Go and enjoy some banter. Its busy. Oh....save the 18!
C.
Clean and great facilities however can get quite busy on weekends so best to go early or later in the evening!
P. S.
Great place to go with your mates, if you want to go have a round of golf, or even if you want to have a relaxed day on the driving range with a couple of beers. Highly recommend it if you are close to Sydney CBD. They have a 3 level driving range, saying that, it is busy most times.
A. M.
Excellent place, missing the golf course, best of the best-- for someone to practice . Highly recommend!!!
S. K.
A public golf course that is right near the city. Great greens and some unusual holes. Well worth the visit for the golfing enthusiasts out there.
The driving range is also a great asset for the grounds, with state of the art facilities available.
P. B.
The course is in very nice condition, especially the greens...great surfaces, if not fast, but this is normal for Moore Pk. Fairways have thick grass, and all areas under the trees cleaned out looking good with wood chips. The wonderful old trees lining many fairways are looking their best. When hitting long, you can go for your shots knowing you won't be beaten up if a little off target. A great parkland golf experience.
T. F. J. P.
One of our favorite public courses in Sydney! Great old school layout and playable for all skill levels. Green fees are very reasonable and the pace is fantastic for a public golf course. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a fun round in the city!
H. B.
Great driving range. Easy to book lessons online. Suggest booking at least a week in advance to avoid disappointment.
G. W.
For a public course, I found it to be very well maintained. Greens were great. Bunkers were nice and soft sand. Staff was friendly and made sure you had what you needed to have a great day of golf. Other golfers on the course were very nice and were quick to let single players go through.
J. R.
Fantastic driving range, open day and night. The staff are friendly and there are plenty of spaces to hit balls from. Well worth a trip if you enjoy a driving range.
N. S.
Nice course, three level driving range (bottom level is usually half reserved though). Parking has become better since they've installed the boom gate (free if you play golf).
Only complaint is that it's busy, but that doesn't affect my rating as that's to be expected.
J. R.
The Moore Park Driving Range is very big and its fun to practice the golf swing with a driver for 2 hours. However balls are slightly expense but overall good experience , might go for a round of 9 hole one day !
R.
All in one golf facility. Great pro shop, driving range, putting and short game area along with an amazing golf course right in the heart of the city also. No need to be a member as public are more than welcome to attend.
Driving range is unique and the amount of balls you can purchase here really is second to non.
A. S.
The driving range is fun for a hit, and great during son or rain.
C. R.
The driving range is fabulous . With free parking !!! I bought a jumbo bucket of 220 balls for $42 . It almost killed me driving everyone off to the 200 mtre mark. Great exercise. The pro shop was well stocked with quality golfing products . Afterwards a cold beer in the club house was well deserved.
B. G.
We just hosted a two day Leadership Forum at Moore Park Golf and the venue and hospitality experience was second to none.
With great views across the city, modern and professional AV, good coffee and flexible staff with amazing attention to detail. The whole team at Moore Park ensured our event ran smoothly and our attendees had a flawless experience.
We could not recommend our host Eugenie, the team at Clublinks and Etiquette Catering highly enough and look forward to the the opportunity to use their facility again!
H. R.
Ollie Neaves was an excellent instructor, my kids brought me a private lesson for Father’s Day. He was patient with me and showed me what I was doing wrong and how to fix it. Within 10 minutes he had me hitting the ball straight and long, he’s not a good looking man by any stretch of the imagination but a fantastic golfing instructor, would recommend him to anyone that wants to better their golf handicap.
J. S.
Overall great course and facilities with reasonable prices - lush fairways, very thick rough, can be winding at times and greens often left with pitch marks (expected on public course).
NB: pace of play can be slow when busy and I've found groups generally not willing to let singles play through, paired up with plenty of other friendly singles around the 3rd/4th hole due to pace of play from groups in front!
J. P.
The course is in very good shape - June 2015. Quite a high standard for a public course. It is well worth booking online for the afternoon rate. In daylight saving you can get 18 holes for $24 - pretty good.
I think that $59 for a game on the weekend is a bit steep.
Worthwhile signing up for emails and texts if your a sydney local, they are always having driving range specials and other deals for the course.
R. B.
Really lovely course right in the city. The course itself is really well laid out and is designed in the old pre bunker style common in a lot of regional courses in Australia. No water, which for me is great and for such a busy course, very well maintained greens and fairways.
The golf academy attached to the course is also well worth a look and the instructors can sort the most troublesome technique out.
A. T. (.
Beautiful course and driving range, well maintained and lovely staff.
G. N.
Great golf course near the heart of the inner city suburbs, between Randwick and Surry Hills. Green fees are very reasonable and there is an excellent driving range too. The course is challenging with plenty risk and reward available. I'm definitely bringing my clubs. Great clubhouse and facilities including proshop and lunchbar/ kiosk.
E. J. P.
Multi tier driving range that’s is wonderful. Course condition is requiring more attentiveness, the greens are way too long for a high level player.
F. K.
Great place
Affordable price
Kind staff
Nice views especially for a sunset
P. N.
There is not much criticism when it comes to the course consider it is a public course and open everyday. Only wish you guys would consider having more discount for student and university students on the range and also to play 18. I enjoyed the course but as a Uni student, it would helps if you guys have more discount so that students like myself could come and play more often. Cheers
A. H.
The driving range is great and the staff are always friendly.
The course is good but it's overpriced for what it is and the course is always overbooked. Either charge a fair price if you're going to constantly overbook it, or don't over book it if you're going to charge those prices.
J. L.
Excellent driving 3-level range, usually plenty of parking. Played the course yesterday, the fairways were in excellent condition and greens were cored and it was very sandy but playable. The course is fairly straightforward forward, not too many fairway bunkers or water hazards(actually don’t think there is any).
S. O.
Enjoyable course for a decent price. The driving range is a little disappointing. Pricey with below average golf balls. The giant tv probably appeals to some, but doesn't do much for me... I'd rather they ditch it and bring down the price of a bucket.
J. H.
Very convenient, pretty excellent range facilities. The course itself is over booked so play is very slow on the weekends. Quite an easy course, but it’s in reasonable condition. Expensive for what it is.
H. S.
Fantastic driving range and golf course. Function space is small, but very nice.
M. W.
Far and away the best public course I've personally ever seen. The size of the driving range is great and it's open till late.
T. M.
Went to the driving range only. Very busy on a Sunday morning (what did I expect?). Nice way to spend a bit of time - whacking gold balls without consequences!
J. C.
Perfect place to practice with a nice driving range and areas available to practice putting and chipping. Course is also really good especially off peak periods.
W. H.
Nothing like rounding the back nine close to home, not cheap, not the best course but something about the old girl that justifies a round and a few beers whilst in the city. Tranquility amongst the chaos is a reasonable take on MP.
P. L.
A superb driving range. Three levels . A big pro shop . Helpful staff. Free parking . Great outdoor bar & restaurant. Go there and hit a bicket of balls.
S. S.
Good enough ! Course in the city.
R. M.
I would like to give a shout out to one of your staff members Matt who does all my repair work. I have followed Matt when he has moved in the golf industry simply because of the excellence of his club fitting and repair work. I have over 250 high end collectible Tour Putters - Camerons, Byrons, Bettinardis Lajosis etc and I don't trust anyone to do work on them except for Matt - he has never disappointed me. He swapped out a couple of grips for me during this last week, and as always his professionalism was matched by his friendliness and courtesy. I am glad he has found a home at your club where I sometimes play and hope you value him as highly as I do.
- Rob McHugh
E.
My friends and I wanted to use the driving range and we were going to get a bucket of golf balls each ($21) and the guy at the golf club shop (Black hair, tanned skin, I believe he was asian) and he suggested we get a jumbo bucket and share between us, that way it's cheaper and better value for us, the guy was great and provided EXTREMELY good customer service and was very pleasant to deal with. Please pass on my thanks to him
T. D.
Well maintained driving range, beautiful 18 holes public golf course
A. C.
Best Golf Course in the city. Well maintained and nice views of the city.
Driving range is perfect to improve your swing and closes late at night.
j. n.
Very nice golf course. Greens were a bit divoted due to players not repairing their divots.
J. S.
Good challenging course kept in great condition. Not the longest. As it's a public course it gets really busy. The staff are great. Worth playing.
J. L.
Driving range has three levels. Conditions are great, probably the best driving range in Sydney but can get very packed.
L. B.
Driving range with 3 levels and lots of flags to shoot. There is a giant TV on one of the left side of the range in case you dont want to miss your favourite sport.
J. F.
Course plays nicely. Always thought it was shorter, but Par 70 means you csn open up a lot more
B. T.
Very friendly staffs and great value Golf clubs, great location convenient to play Golf but watch out /caution for golfers unexpected Golf balls to come over the nets of the Golf Driving Range
K. S.
Really convenient especially it opens till 11pm daily, the fairway has been done up nicely with easily identifiable targets.
N. D.
For a public course it's great and let's you use all your clubs and provide some good challenges. Practice facilities are great and its so close to the city.
n. w.
We had a children's B-Day party upstairs. The room was beautiful. Staff were professional and very helpful. Made for a day I'll never forget for all the right reasons!
J. B.
Course is good but they're allowing to many to play resulting in ridiculous wait times. There were 4 groups waiting on the 5th tee.
D. H.
well-maintained driving range.
mindful on closeure (on the ranges only) from Nov23-27, 2020.
S. L.
Really good quality golf facility...and oh yeh, its Public, anyone can play
P. Y.
Golf course is ok but there are no lockers to put your stuff if you're not a member. Shower facilities are also limited.
D. N.
Good course. Variety of holes and terrain. Paths seats bins ball washer on every hole. Great pro shop and service.
L. B.

B. T.
Great golf course and driving range. Always spots in the driving range and is relatively cheap.

Busy on the driving range, fair wait, no auto feeding tees. But great view and good infrastructure.
C. B.
Great golf lesson with Arthur K we had a great time
N. Y. (.

A little on the expensive side when compared to other ranges.

J. P.
One of the best public courses around with great supporting facilities.
T. G.
I don't play golf, but on a walk around Moore Park and Centennial Park recently we stopped in here for a lovely feed and a refreshing few drinks!
P. G. D.
Great location and value for a public golf course.
It's in great condition also
D. J. C.
Come here to hit some balls instead of watching tv at night- nice air feels great after always. Better come with some friends or family and share a big bucket for better cost ball ratios
D. F.

A great place to sling your balls, genuinely. There's also a carpark reserved for "captain" and "lady captain" and I for one have no idea how the golf heirachy works but I can assure you there was no ship in sight, nor were there ladies. Just dudes that look like they harrass em in high brow office boardrooms. Driving range needs a bar but otherwise top show I say.
