Why is there a small, old Pub in the middle of nowhere that everyone raves about?
Atmosphere & Food, better than most.
Great staff, service & cold Beer make the Nerriga Hotel a great lunch stop.
Expansive menu with a “Specials” board as well, the “Up North Parmi” stopped me, great feed.
We’ll be back.

Amazing quality country pub, great timber interior with old tree felling memorabilia, fantastic outside beer garden, some of the best food in the surrounding area and better than most pubs I've ever been to. The cabin accommodation is fantastic as well, super comfortable beds, heating and cooling, kitchenette, hot showers.
Absolutely recommend stopping and staying here if possible!

Every thing about this place offers charm and great hospitality. Lovely meals, prompt and well refined. Very enjoyable drop too, delighted to find Old Gold on tap!
Great effort guys!

Many times in past I have driven to Nerriga and say; "Hello and Goodbye ", before I released that I drove passed the town.
The Nerriga Road/Braidwood Road is going to South Nowra, or turn right to Turpentine Road to the Princes Hwy.
Nerriga Road there is Road works (2021) from Braidwood to Nerriga, big trucks on the road, drive the speed limit where is shown, drive safely.
The Discovery Of alluvial gold in 1851,led to increased interest in the area around Nerriga, the town began to grow, with the Commercial hotel opening for business around 1864, building still stands today, known as the Bark Tree Hotel, now is the Nerriga Hotel and Pub.
In December 2019, the Currowan fire destroyed properties around Nerriga.
The Nerriga Pub provided shelter during the fire.
We were greeted polite owners, happily to serve us.
He shows our table and we sat down, there is a Beer Garden to sit outside too .
The Pub atmosphere is wonderful, as the Staff happily serving our food.
Are you driving now to Nerriga to Nowra, stop and have a break at the Nerriga Pub and help them.
They provided shelter for the community and the Farmers and Towns People and also Travels who were stuck that day.
The Coffee shop is open on Wednesday to Sunday from 9am to 11.30am. LUNCH at 12-3pm.
Dinner from Friday and Saturday 6-8pm.
They sell home made Jam and Relish.
Please get some, when you are at the Pub, help to raise money for the community.

We stopped at the Nerriga Hotel for lunch and were warmly welcomed by all the staff. The facilities were spotless and the beer garden was a lovely little spot to relax in the sun. The food was your typically pub food and was spot on! Best schnitzel I’ve had in a long time! We are looking forward to popping in again.
M. H.

An oasis on a back road. Friendly staff. Good food and a great log fire. Motorcyclists haven for a well earned break.
F. W.
Best service I have ever experienced. The staff is lovely.
J. G.
Very friendly staff, lunch was good, old fashioned food, delicious. While the amenities were old, they were spotless. If you're out that way, definitely drop in for a meal and a drink.👍
C. H.
Great pub food. Friendly staff and locals. But no air conditioning so expect to be hot in summer. Fireplace inside keeps you warm in winter. It is the place to go for lunch in the area though. Sweat a bit and enjoy a beer
J. y.
We love the people at Nerriga pub. Great steak sandwich in front of the fire. Great midway stop on the way to jervis bay.
C. P.
So good to find a hotel in the middle of long road. While kitchen and cafe closed a bit early, I am glad I can buy a cold drink and relax in the garden. thank you for the service and facilities + directions to closest petrol station
N. W.
Excellent country pub for a lunch or dinner
G. P.
A welcome spot in a fairly remote area that offers food and drinks.
R. M.
Always a good stop off on the way home
M. H.
Great pub. Staff were very friendly. Food was yummy and Phil and Sarah were wonderful hosts. The cottage we stayed in was neat and clean. Thanks for a great weekend.
s. a.
The country side pub may surprise you with the service and food. If you are going down the cost, mostly it's a nice place to take a break. I love to stop here for hot fries and a chilled beer. Can't resist. Had a bad experience with semi fried chips but, that's just once.
T. M.
Excellent food and amenities. Service good considering it was a fine sunny mother's day. Good idea to book if possible.
M. R.
Lovely fresh lunch at the dog table. Cheers!
P. K.
Surprisingly family friendly.
Despite all the bikes and bikers that can be parked out front, inside is a nice open room, and there is a garden with picnic tables out the back. And they sell ice-creams here :-) The food is nothing fancy, just classic pub grub. We haven't stopped before, but will stop here next time we are passing.
M. C.
Great food, delicious, cooked perfectly, good portions, and reasonably priced.. A great out in the middle of nowhere country atmosphere, live music on the last Sunday of the month. Sit out front and count the cars that go past, you won't have to count too many..👍
P. P.
Good feed which broke the road trip up quite well.
M. D.
This is one of the nicest places to stop for lunch. Friendly, salt of the earth staff and wonderful owners. Great family vibe, interesting historical area. Prefect halfway point for travelers. Live music on Sunday after lunch once a month so check it out.
T. W. B. B.
Ran out of petrol late in the evening. Went in and the locals were welcoming and the publican went out of his way to find us some diesel. Couldn't ask for better hospitality. Thank you
D. P.
Great old style pub. Good pub food and friendly staff. Obviously popular with locals and passing travellers.
L. F.
Well, a drive but worthwhile. A country pub. Toilet has a sign that it isn't a public toilet so you need to buy something at the bar or contribute to the public toilet fund. Funny but serious! I don't think that the money goes into a fund other than the one for the poor and neglected publicans.
The bar tender was very cordial and welcoming. The meal was something else. I ordered chicken parma with garlic bread. Came with chips and salad. I rate it among the best I've had. Service very good. My friends had fishcakes and one had crumbed lamb chop. They were all as happy as I was.
Atmosphere was ok. Maybe another 8 or so diners, not well lit but quite enjoyable for our little group.
Don't know if we'll go back but if we do we'll be looking forward to the meal. Top class.
P. w.
Service is friendly and prompt. Beer is cold and glasses are clean. Wine selection limited but available.
Food is fresh and nice. Not spoilt for choice. And not going to win awards for excellence.
Toilets are a detraction, but available.
Sitting at the outside tables can be dangerous as the 4wd knobs run into the tables etc with the front of their cars.
Infact if they parked any closer, the pub doors couldn't be opened!
S. M.
Such a lovely spot to stop & stretch our legs. Absolutely delightful people begin the bar. Friendly locals. Stopped in twice today on the way to & from Nowra. Cleanest facilities ever. Pleasant seating outside watching the world go by. Next time... lunch 😊
P. F.
Lovely little pub with schooner at the right price
D. B.
Never went in but have been tojd the food is good .
P. L.
Really good coffee, nice hot sausage roll and great hot chocolate 🙂 there's nice clean loos nearby and friendly service
J. T.
The food here is pretty decent for being one of the few places in the only main street in town. The pub also has an outdoor seating area in the back and bottled beer if you don't like what is on tap. You can stop for a frozen lolly as well, Golden Gaytime anyone?
V. S.
I love this pub beautiful people
C. S.
Great venue . friendly locals even helped us locate fuel for our car... steak was great and the beer cold... if you are in the area stop by and give this oasis your support.
M. K.
Called into the Nerriga Pub to show some support after the recent devastating bushfires. The Pub itself is in the middle of nowhere, on Nerriga Road however it’s got that country feel, welcoming hospitality, cold, refreshing drinks and reasonable meals at a reasonable price.
S. F.
What a great place to sit and relax. Super friendly Australian service, great food and locals to talk to. This pub is fantastic. Lots of people coming and going with lots to say. Certainly worth a visit
R. D.
Friendly staff, an array of memorabilia, generous size beer garden, good atmosphere and authentic pub food.
A. S.
Family of Brits on holiday having a road trip from Sydney to Canberra and back and found this little gem. Classic Australian pub with corragated tin walls. Nice garden in the back and a friendly welcome. Finished off our outback adventure with an ice cold lager.
J. E.
Nerriga hotel where do i start we popped into the hotel on a bus trip down the coast had a great feed t-bone steak with mushroom gravy the staff were very friendly we then went down the coast and on our way home later in the night we again stopped at the hotel we walked in and i reckon just about every local was in the pub for karaoke what a great night plenty of laughs and great hospitality
S. T.
My first Country Side Experience with all the lovely and friendly people around us. The place has great vibes and will make you feel relaxed if you are going for a few drinks after a hard day oclf work or a trip down there with family.
D. S.
Nerriga Hotel — old world country charm on the main road. Great beer, great food and great country folk not to be missed.
S. W.
Classic country pub, beer and hot chips, what more could you want.
H. R.
The staff were lovely. Friendly and helpful. Food was tasty and the portions a normal size and a reasonal price. The background music was nice and not so loud that you couldn't have a conversation.
B. N.
We called in for a very simple take away and drink - but they don't serve take away food ( pies etc ) - but, in their defence, it was very busy with the bush fires in the vicinity.
M. T.
Wonderful food, service and atmosphere, a great country pub
M. B.
Pub was closed. Covid precaution possibly. But the coffee was on and so were the pies and sausage rolls. Small town, has new toilets for travellers
l. c.
Very friendly with good food, And a good stop for that morning coffee fix with a snack as your passing through is the best
S. W.
Good old fashioned pub grub. If you pass through try rissoles and bacon. Yum
c. g.
Take the back roads and stop here. If you ride a motorcycle you absolutely must go here. Friendly people and just a great country pub. If you want a feed or a beer, you must go here!
M. F.
Have stopped here for a cold beer a couple of times and thoroughly enjoyed it, friendly service. Apparently they put on a good feed as well, will stop for lunch one of these days.
a. p.
Loads of character at this unique pub, the pub is the town very isolated but much easier to get to now as the road is super good now from nowra. (It used to be 4 wheel drive only with river crossings but now it is a super good road And the quickest and easiest way from Canberra to nowra) the food is classic country pub and cheap. Steak sanga and chips 12.50
Friendly locals and great atmosphere.
C. O.
Nice warm Pub with fire going. Fantastic friendly Staff and great beer! Very reasonably priced food and drinks..
D. V.
Nice stop on the way to the coast, now open again with covid19 precautions. Basic but good pub food and a relaxing beer garden.
L. S.
The food was served so fast. Everybody enjoyed their meals. The garden salad was so good and crunchy too. The atmosphere was friendly and so was the staff.
N. E.
We went there on the Australia Day long weekend - Monday. Very disappointed for find the kitchen not open and to pay $10 for a pork roll. The roll was nice, but very $$$$ for what it was.
S. G. (.
Simple pub half way between Canberra and Nowra. Attracts all sorts travelling through, as well as locals. Food is good, quick and cheap. There's a hidden beer garden out the back.
R. B.
Nerriga Pub is a rustic hotel on the Nowra to Braidwood road. It serves travellers on this road, plus local farmers, plus bushwalkers on the way to or from the Budawang Ranges. The service is friendly and there are plenty of tables inside as well as in the beer garden out the back. There is live music roughly once a month.
Meals are served - but only at certain hours on certain days, so if you are counting on meals it's best to check first. There is accommodation in two cabins out the back.
M. E.
Never been to the Hotel but the little coffee shop next door sells beautiful pies and sausage rolls and great coffee.
M. S.
