This is the best bar! I used to live in NYC and the drinks here are phenominal! Try the Africola and really…anything else! Best vibe. Entrance down a cool alley. Enjoy! Highly recommended!

A great spot that feels a little like a hidden gem. They make a lot of their own tonic and Soda water on premises and although a small drinks menu they cover it all. How have I never heard of this place before?? It is awesome. Hidden down a laneway, identified by the neon bottle light out the front. They are known for using a smoked lemonade and then adding a liquor to it. We had it with gin and it had a beautiful smokey flavour to it. Then, we told the barman what we like and he made up cocktails to suit! Lovely staff and very knowledgeable.

The Africola is hands down the go to at this gem! One of the most unique tastes a buzz can thrive off. Warm and smooth on the top layer while a cold soda taste sits below. As you drink, take a gulp! The combo of flavors curate magic.

The staff were super friendly and were clearly passionate about the drinks they were creating! It was so nice to see bartenders be so eager to teach us about what we were about to have and how they made it. We opted with the alcoholic soda degustation since we wanted to try it all and it was fantastic.

Went here it recently won the 2019 best new bar of the year. We had into the wild and hoagie which we didn't love that much. The hoagie was warm and made with oat milk which was cool, but it wasn't sweet at all which I think made it a bit hard to drink. The wild felt more like a standard pineapple cocktail, with no added flavours or textures. The drinks were a bit boring for our taste. Vibes are dark and location is super convenient. Worth a visit and I'll be trying more drinks again in the future!

Lovely little "Hole in the wall" type bar, delicious drinks that you won't find anywhere else and ingredients you'd never expect, but work really well. Atmosphere is calm and relaxed, the bar tenders there are friendly and welcoming and always greet you as though you're a group of friends.

This place is, or was just pure FUN. Menu has significantly shrunk after COVID and while I genuinely miss the expansive playfulness of their cocktails. You only need one reason to keep visiting: AFRICOLA But still, can we have those weird drinks back once things start to get back on track. COVID tips: book in advance. When I came here it wasn't quiet however, so if you are coming for a quiet drink this might not be the place depending on the time.

PS40 is awesome. The Africola is definitely one of their best drinks, a delicious concoction that bring together hot coconut cream with their own cola, and Mr Black. The other inventions on their menu are also all unique and refreshing in their own ways. The bartenders are amiable and will use their knowledge to whip up a drink off menu if that’s what you’re after.

This bar is absolutely fantastic! Such a gem in the CBD, perfect for a post work tipple and the team are always very friendly and engaging. Unique bar with delicious drinks. It's not your usual menu of cocktails which makes it even more exciting because you know you're in for a surprise. It's a non descript locale down an alley that looks like it may be closed, but they have some fantastic cocktails and in house soda they they mix to create even more cocktail perfection. The food looked and smelled delicious...although we did not partake at the time. I especially liked that they take old citrus fruits from which they use the peels in the cocktails and utilize them in various reduction sauces for their food. What a fantastic way to reduce waste and add a unique twist to the flavor.

Nice chic hipster bar. Strangely empty for a Friday night? There was only four other people there when we walked in (3 people friends drinking at the bar, and 1 man having dinner at the tables). A staff brought his adorable dog in and it was a cute furry vacuum. I liked the decor, prices are comparable to similar bars in the city. Atmosphere's good and the lack of people meant more space / and a more chill atmosphere for us. Warning though: they do not do normal sodas and only have their custom stuff like smokey lemonade (really weird but must try!).

Great little bar, hard to find if you've never been before. Really friendly, knowledgeable staff - you are immediately made to feel welcome. Fantastic artisanal cocktails. Great selection of runs.

Went here on a Friday around 4:30-5 expecting it to be crazy busy but we were two of only a couple people there. We sat at the bar and the bartender took us through the menu, answered questions, and was very knowledgeable and engaged. I ordered the Breakfast Negroni which somehow tastes like coffee and banana bread and a negroni all in one and it was fantastic. Boyfriend ordered the milk punch which he really enjoyed. The next round we ordered, he ordered a drink that came in the box (pictured). I love the drinks here because they are funky and delicious but the box was a little embarrassing. How are you supposed to drink out of that?! PS40 should let the drinks speak for themselves as they are amazing and leave the silly pretentious presentation to other bars.

We stopped in here for one drink and stayed for several. The bar staff were awesome & hilarious. Scotland had just beaten the Wallabies and it was kilts and chaos. A ginger bearded fellow was celebrating his birthday and serving customers in between, it was like crashing a party but being looked after by the host anyway. We sipped delicious cocktails ( I wish I could remember what it was called but it was a pisco combined with sangria - Last Tango in Peru?) then moved on to 2 bottles of sparkling pinot in very fancy glassware. If I lived in Sydney, this is where I'd spend my Saturday nights.
