Comments of Redoak Boutique Beer Cafe

Been here a few times and always a winner. Great beers and excellent staff. Wide variety of beers of tap and you're welcomed to have a taste without feeling like you're asking for too much. Highly recommend.
J. T.
We had our Christmas party here a few weeks ago. They had a vast selection of beers and a decent cocktail menu. The bar staff were very friendly.
The food was tasty however the portions a little small.
I’d definitely come back for a drink some time.
K. C.
Conviently located in the heart of the CBD, the beer and food is exceptional value and super tasty. The garlic bread is a nice surprise and not overly smelly. The tasting paddle ($12) is a great way to try the beers - I liked the honey ale. The fish and chips are the best that I've had (that I could remember).
Went back Feb-21, fish and chips still awesome and the pot pie isn't bad either. Liked the pink lady apple cider

There are a few micro-breweries in Sydney, but not too many in the city centre. This is more than just a novelty this place. The staff are very welcoming. The food is good and the beer is better. They have a great range and some names that rely on puns. Puns are the greatest form of humour, everyone knows that. Well done .
B. A.
Wow what a cool place. Great range of own brewed beer, excellent food and incredible service. The manager looked after so well. Traveling with a 8y daughter in a wheelchair has many challenges. The staff and manager couldn't have been more helpful. Many thanks for a most enjoyable experience..

On a recent trip to Sydney we came across such a beautiful pub to relax and wind-down between meetings. Friendly staff and amazing ambience, perfect for after-work hours. The decor was old and nostalgic; at the Redoak Beer Cafe. Definitely coming back!
S. K.
Fantastic coctails , good atmosphere and their crisp & refreshing beer was the beginning of a fantastic night !
T. S.
It was a great vibe, the staff were amazing, the beer was cold and the food was delicious
L.
Unique lineup of beer and i really enjoyed beer tasting menu which we can choose 4kinds of beer from the list. I went on weekdays and so cozy and good mood. Foods and staff are nice too.
E. F.
Love attending Redoak, it is like a new experience every time trying random flavours in beers. The staff is always to give suggestions and also to receive feedbacks.
S. S.
Friendly staff and pleseant vibe, this beer Cafe definitely has the micro-brewery "feel". Overall, the beer selection isn't as large as you would expect, but they do have a dozen of their own brews which is more than the largest independent breweries have. Already looking forward to the next time I come here.
J. R.
Excellent venue, wonderful staff and beautiful food. We booked for our party and everything was absolutely perfect. Great value and the staff were awesome, nothing was too much trouble and the party was fantastic. Thank you for making us feel so welcome, and helping to make our night so great!

I visit Redoak every other trip when I visit Sydney. I enjoy the beer and the food! Had the Wagyu burger the first time I came two years ago, and is one of my favourite. Today I tried the barramundi and it was very nicely done. Nice thick fillet, skin is prepared to a crisp and the meat is nice and moist. The pairing of the fish with the Honey Ale is really good. Dessert was a Beeramisu, and it’s a great twist to a typical Tiramisu.
H. S.
Redoak is a boutique craft brewery with an impeccable taste in food. I would recommend the beer and food tasting it has small bites of food paired with in house brewed beers. Its a great experience and worth the money. If you feel a bit hungry after share a pizza or snack.

My husband and I attended the Beer Class today and it did not disappoint. Staff were amazing and the food was so good - not your average pub food (flavoursome, fresh and perfectly cooked). The beer was great as well and the selection with each meal fit perfectly. We ended up staying after the beer class, had a cheese board and tried some beers and cocktails, and everything was so good, we couldn’t pick a favourite - though I am big fan of the roo sausages and the orange brownie that we had during the beer class.
Definitely recommended if you like craft beer and like some wonderful food in the city.
R.
Love this 100% 1990’s random quirky bar! A - MAZE - ING bar staff and manager, the team running the place are the cherry on the Black Forest gateau ❤️
S. H.
Really love the choice of the beer, and they also have a really good food! was here with my friends, so far we had a lovely time!

We just had a Beer Class here (previously "Beergustation"), tickets courtesy of a Christmas gift. Very enjoyable. Excellent presentation, light-hearted, good fun. Learnt heaps I didn't know about beer. First time I've ever tasted a beer that I would have thought was a sparkling wine if we hadn't been told otherwise! Pretty weird, but kind of amazing at the same time. Probably would work well to strip the palate between cheeses. And I never knew that some styles of beer should be warmed before drinking (e.g. in a wine 'balloon' glass held between your hands and swirled). The first swig cold before drinking was barely drinkable to my taste. Extremely bitter. But mildly warmed it was rich in flavour, complex even, and still very bitter, but eminently drinkable. Went fantastically well with the dessert. I still prefer my lagers, but I'll be more adventurous in future. Well done!

Great specialty beers in bottles, often inspired by Belgian classics, but brewed in Australia. I recommend to have some of these! Really nice food, very delicious seafood sets. Great service, and cozy atmosphere; fancier than most of pubs. Would definitely enjoy this place again.
A. C.
Nice pub with a good selection of boutique beers on tap. Good atmosphere and pretty good food, but everything is quite expensive. Friendly and helpful staff who are able to make good recommendations. Good decor helps to add to the atmosphere
C. Q.
My wife and I signed up for the ‘beergustation’ experience last Saturday - it was a great gig. Thanks to all the team for looking after us and educating us for a few hours. The matching of beers with five courses, the education about brewing process and ingredients and hosting us in a COVID safe environment were all managed very well and with obvious passion.
It was really interesting to try out the matches, including a stout with a sticky date pudding and chocolate ice cream dessert. Surprisingly good!
B. F.
I really enjoyed this place. All the beers we tried were good. I recommend this place for all the ones that love craft beers !
F. T.
Good beer type hall if you are a drinker. The food is a bit unexciting. We had the steak (medium rare came out a bit rare), the grilled barrramundi and burgers. The portions (other than the steak) is borderline small. I would rate it more like your local rather than a boutique beer cafe.
C. F.
Always 5 stars for food drinks and service! I can't come to the city without stopping here for a cold beer and a burger
S. P.
Small office Christmas lunch here. A lot of the beers our group bought and looking around the bar appeared flat. Beers were pouring heady and then went flat soon after. Beers weren't all that great probably due to not being poured right or carbonated correctly. For $15 a pint on some beers not really acceptable for a place that calls itself a boutique beer café. The food we ordered was good all round though.
K. S.
Best place we have eaten and chilled out at on our Sydney trip. Lovely atmosphere and great service.
L. A.
The best brewery that we tried in Sydney. Pete was our main bartender and he was extremely helpful. The wide array of beers is something that was oddly missing in most other breweries and brewpubs in the city. They have a good kitchen as well. We ordered the fish and chips, they tasted excellent.
P. G.
Found this place through EatClub. Very pleased with their selection of beers (esp. their vintage IPA). Even the girlfriend who doesn’t love burgers enjoyed their southern style chicken burger. Would recommend.
M. L.
We've been going to Red Oak for years and gradually bringing our friends and family too. Always a wonderful meal. They have a variety of reinvented pub classics and even better unique dishes of their own on a rotating, seasonal menu. As if that weren't reason enough to pop in, the in-house beer is great, again with rotating new numbers to try. The beer-gustation is great fun too.
L. d.
A pleasant experience we had. Came in for a few drinks and they had the Bondi gin as special for the month and OMG it was delicious with elderflower tonic! We then got chatting to the bar man who was super friendly and he got us to try the Australian Grown gin. This was nice too! The difference I found was the Bondi gin was more pleasant to smell it had a gorgeous floral scent. Loved it. The Australian Grown had a more stronger gin after taste but also had a sweeter note. I enjoyed them both. If you like gin try them both or if you never had one and want to try get the Bondi gin with elderflower and slice of orange. Yum. All in all I like this place and would recommend it to those who want to get a better drinking experience than a pub. The bar tenders are more than happy to talk about and recommend drinks and offer tastings!
S. H.
Nice and quiet for a bit of lunch during the crazy Christmas week. A little oasis on Clarence Street.
B.
Last weekend my wife booked a table for us for my birthday as all our previous visits here have been superior in terms of menu and service. Unfortunately due to the pandemic, the menu has been restricted to a selection of burgers and pizza and the usual warm friendly service was lacking. While the food we had was rather good, it was basically pub grub we could have found anywhere, rather disappointing for a special evening. I realise this sounds churlish given the current circumstances, but we should have been advised of the restricted menu when we booked, not as we sat down to eat. The Redoak Instagram also suggests that taster plates and beer matching is still available, when it's not. I love this place and will be happy to return, but only when the regular menu is reinstated.
R. A.
The pork & fennel sausages were so juicy and perfect with the mash! My partner got the beef burger which was cooked perfectly and a beer. Sat by the tables outside but then inside had lovely ambiance and great music 😄
l. k.
Excellent service food. Verity of beers. I would recommend to people. We had a enjoyable evening. We are looking to coming back.

Headed into the City to celebrate our end of year business Christmas drinks. Due to Covid most places not taking bookings or booked out. Last minute decision meant we happened upon Red Oak. What a gem. THE BEST COOKED STEAK we’ve had. Seasoned perfectly by someone in the know and a true medium rare with a jus you could drink. Simple dish paired with tender beef ribs that kept us guessing on the sauce (we think hoisin based). Service was friendly and welcoming and quite a few cheeky gin n sodas ended the night perfectly. We will definitely mark it as our city go to!

I attended their beergustation recently and would highly recommend the experience. Kieran was a great host for the afternoon and was really engaging, especially given he was also managing the Redoak team. The food was way above what you'd expect in a pub and each course was perfectly matched to a beer. There's a broad range on tap so something for everyone and I enjoyed being taken out of my usual beer comfort zone and trying something new.
K. Y.
I visited with a small school group and we were very well received and served. Janet was a wonderful host and the students were very impressed with their lunches. Thank you so much for hosting us, it was a wonderful experience.
A. S.
The booking was easy online. The customer service was exceptional. The craft beer was delicious and the food is very tasty. I will recommend this place for anyone to unwind, relax in good company.

Clean place great food and the staff were awesome, even funny. Thank you to our lovely host Katie 😎
J. P.
We went to the Beergustation Beer Class recently and the food was delicious, the presentation was fun and interesting and (of course), the beer was very tasty! Highly recommended.
G. H.
Went with a friend for dinner @ around 6pm on a Tuesday. Really cool place, fancier interior than I expected. Used an EatClub voucher so it was really reasonable. Great selection of beers and nice variety on the menu. Will go back again.
L. B.
Just wanted to say thank you for the lovely food and the waitress who made our day today.
It was my partners birthday today and I wanted every experience to be perfect and thanks to the lovely waitress today it was!
She even put a sparkler in the brownie. The waitress made great suggestions on what food we should get. She was so lovely, fun and attentive.
Food was great - I loved my vegetarian burger and brownie!
Highly recommend!
B. M.
Crocodile nachos were amazing, and the pizza's we had were just as good 😍
The vast variety of beer, especially of their own creation, blew me away, the beer samples are also very generous!
I highly suggest trying this place out, the menu is also perfect for large groups.
k. B.
We visited redoak for the beer class and what a wonderful night we had . Everything was perfect ! The food , the beer , the owner and staff. Everything was put together nicely, the food pairing with the beers and we must say the food was certainly impressive . We sat at a table of 12 and also could not have sat with nicer people who also had the same passion , a love of craft beer.
The owner Janet was an exceptional host .We would highly recommend this experience and my husband and I will be definitely going again!
G. B.
Fancy pub with own-brewed beers in a broad range of styles. Had a great beer degustation ("beer class") here with some nice food and some explanations on brewing and pairing food with beer, but the beer was definitely the star. Nice grown up atmosphere. They do tasting paddles, albeit with preset selections (if you ask nicely they might mix them up a bit). A bit pricey but the beers are very, very good.
G.
Came in for a lunch bought on groupon for our 13th wedding anniversary, the waitress was a lovely happy girl from the Sunshine Coast where we were visiting from, she was very polite, helpful and sincere an asset to the restaurant.
Food was great, beers and cider even better, I highly recommend this business.
J. D.
I have been to Redoak for the past two years and this place is top notch. The beers are fantastic with a range that everyone would love. In addition, the staff is very cordial and go out of their way to appease you. The food is very exquisite with the choice of meats, cheese, seafood and vegetables. The atmosphere is enjoyable with people that similarly enjoy the same beer and food tastes. The location is downtown Sydney so it is very easy to walk to and with the city subway system, it is easy for everyone else to get to. Overall, it is an enjoyable experience and the staff makes it very easy to enjoy as well.
A. G.
Pretty good pub serving craft beer. Quite busy and noisy at times but a good place to hangout with mates. Offer selection of beer so go for paddle if you want to try wide variety of beers. Food is pretty good too, especially the sweet potato chips.
J. R.
Excellent, friendly service from a clearly over-worked waiter. Our beers were served promptly and were of the finest quality. The dessert tasting plate left a little to be desired - if I were to order again I would get the summer trifle, but perhaps this is only because some of the flavours (especially the truffles and the burnt caramel of the cheesecake) were somewhat challenging to the palate. Definitely would return - if only for the excellent beers.
A. b.
This is our first visit to sydney, we have "accidentally " came across Redoak. And we were glad that we find the place to hangout evening.. we tried few beers along with some snacks and mains. Beers are very good and so was good. We loved the chicken drumsticks. Tried garlic prawns pizza, which was just perfect. The stealer was lamb shank curry. The spices are blended perfectly lamb was tender. It was very joyful experience. We expected the chef was Indian, but later came to know she is Philippines. Must try dish..
Service is also excellent
T. Y.
Good restaurant and great beer. Food is very good and service is friendly.
B. M.
Great beer selection, food is good pub grub. Cosy atmosphere with nice amount of light and has outdoor seats
A. R.
Great experience, place has a great pub feel, nice selection of craft beers brewed by Redoak, food was amazing, staff are super helpful, informative and inviting.will definately be returning.
C. S.
Friendly service and good beer menu by Australian standards. The beers are still pretty mild by overseas standards but they are more full flavored than most things in the area and fresh. Had the burger and it had great flavor.
T. W.
Even though I'm not much of a beer drinker I have always enjoyed my time at Redoak. The tasting boards are a great way to try out the different beers on offer. It also gives you a taste of the magic of matching beer to food. Almost all the food on the menu, including dessert, comes recommended with a matching beer or cider. If you are looking for a snack then you cannot go wrong with the hand-cup chips, they are one of the best in town.
E. N.
I really enjoyed the beer. Tried Porter and Red Ale and both was exceptional. Also the Seafood Tasting Board was delicious. Didn't have much time to spend, but would like to stay longer, because of beer. :)
Will definitely come back and will recommend this place to my friends.
J. C.
Great staff, great food, fabulous beers and friendly patrons. Heaven on a stick! Do load up your credit card though. You'll want three of everything. Tasting plates are $20. Bar platters $25. Specials are very competitive. The charcuterie is the best in town for the price. The staff are well trained and eager to share their knowledge of the beers and ciders.
M. L.
This is a cozy little pub in the middle of the CBD. It has a great selection of craft beers with the option of tasting paddles. The food here is also above average for a pub, although on a couple of occasions food was slow to get served. The staff are generally friendly
E. T.
I had a quiet Saturday lunch here. It was a little expensive, but the food was impressive and was well-paired with the beers. I had the Brioche Beef Burger and the Old Ale (as suggested by the menu). The burger itself comprised of a thick and generous beef pattie and a slab of buffalo mozzarella. The Old Ale was surprisingly sweet and prickly, and left a bitter after-taste that was well-complemented by the tomato relish of the beef burger.
S. G.
Absolutely fantastic. Great beers on tap and bottled. Bar staff are so friendly and very clued-up on their beers and make great suggestions. Decorated nicely too. It was a great place to unwind and end off a very hard day. It was just what I needed, thanks.
M. S.
Great service, lovely staff and VEGAN OPTIONS! Strolled in 9pm on a Friday night for drinks and was pleasantly surprised to see that they have 3 vegan meal options on the menu - burger, salad and a vegan stack for a main. I got the burger - kale and quinoa pattie with fresh lettuce, hummus, tomato, cucumber and grilled capsicum. Side of potato chips, real chunky potato chips. Loved it!
K. S.
The beer is brilliant. The Global IPA is crispy, hoppy and nice and heavy, the real ale is beautiful and understated, the English bitter is not quite a Bombardier, but close, and the Stout is much more Irish and smooth than the astringent and all powerful and chest hair-inducing Coopers' Best Extra Stout. The food is also great. The Lamb Ragout Parpadelle at lunch was simply delicious. A criticism is that a simple kid's menu would really help though.
K. F.
We were a little excited to check this place out given the reviews but were sadly disappointed.
While the Cafe had a groovy vibe to it, it didn't wow us in any way.
The staff were friendly, but we got the impression it was because they were bored and were happy just to have customers.
We ordered the Bakers bread (which is a fav of ours on any menu) only to discover it wasn't fresh and we only received 5 small pieces, unlike the usual loaf that we were expecting. On top of that, we didn't get any salt to dip with it.
I had the pasta which was nice, but not something that I remember to be exciting.
My partner had the sausages based on the reviews only to describe them as 'just sausages'.
We are fans of craft beef and cider... but again walked away disappointed with the whole experience. The cider was extremely heavy and a tad bitter, so getting through the whole "wine glass" of it was a slow process.
While it wasn't a "bad" experience here, we didn't walk away excited about making the decision to go there.
A. L.
Good beer, good food (especially appreciate kangaroo on the menu). It was strange having to raise our voices over the music at Saturday lunch when there was hardly anyone else in the venue (and we did mention this to staff at the time).
S. G.
They have an amazing selection of beers, numerous of which have won awards over consecutive years. Got the dessert tasting plate with matching beers which was great and meant we didn't have to formally sit down in the adjoining restaurant and could keep it casual at the bar. Definitely returning!
R. W.
Amazing beer, cozy atmosphere, great location. Service and bar staff are very friendly and inviting. Food is not too bad, prices are okay considering location. Highly recommend the Honey Ale and the Gaelic Red beers, fantastic!
P. L.
This is the longest established craft beer be pub in Sydney. Really warm atmosphere with a great selection of beers; something for every taste. Try the Organic Pale Ale or the Pommy Bitter. Burgers are great too.
K. A.
They have a very good selection of beers, including tradition ales. The ambience is good, service at the bar is quick. Food is really nice - particularly their tasting menus are well-matched. Good location being close to Wynyard station, particularly handy for after work drinks in the CBD.
D. G.
My favorite beer cafe in Sydney. Mostly local beers and great service with friendly, informative staff.
Some beers are not to my liking (avoid the German Wheat Beer, pretty watered down in my opinion) but the more hardy ales and stouts are all the go
L. D.
Great bar and restaurant! We had the 1.5 kg Lamb Shoulder, which tasted absolutely beautiful. Very good value for two. We really enjoyed the boutique beers and the sassy service too.
S. W.
This bar was a bit of a surprise to me, I was actually looking for another bar across the road when I spotted this place. I'm glad I went in, there was plenty of choice in beers, some decent food options and the bar itself was pretty nice with two large brewing drums in plain view next to the bar. I'm glad I spotted it and went in.
J. -.
This place is amazing.
The staff are super helpful and friendly, the beer (range and taste) is brilliant and very delicious, and the food is ridiculously tasty.
The decor and vibe of the venue is relexed and comfortable, but still well-polished. The choice of restaurant or bar service is a great option.
We ordered the Nepalese curry, and sausages and mash. The mash was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and very creamy. The sausages were lean, fresh and packed with flavour.
The curry was mild (no chilli), but still amazing, and full of fresh veggies and flavour. We also ordered a side of steamed veggies - had the ask if the kitchen could do this and they were happy to, which came out bright and still crunchy - yum!
Overall, a wonderful experience. We can't wait to come back.
K. P.
Always a favourite last drinks before bus home from the city.
Great service, fun atmosphere
S. J.
Best beer in Sydney I've found in six months of living here. The food was also pretty good. They have great deals for a paired beer and a meal that's perfect for on the way home.
C. R.
Nice restaurant with delicious food, terrific selection of beers.
Waiters are friendly and happy to share a laugh with quick service, though wasn't very busy when we attended.
Recommended for a beer connoisseur.
S. H.
This is a quality beer cafe, right in the heart of the city. The selection of beers is amazing; the staff are friendly and very knowledgeable about all their brews. The food is also top quality.
Book a beergustation - food and beer matching - to get the best out of this place.
M. S.
Really enjoyed the atmosphere here. They only have their own craft beer here and a good variety at that.
The cafe is subtlely split into bar and cafe (eating area). It was open till late which is great as not much else is open around the immediate area.
S. V.
Redoak is Beertopia. They're the makers of some of the world's best beer, made with painstaking care. They take styles from around the world, search for traditional recipes, and source the finest, natural ingredients. The results are spectacular. The dazzling amount of styles on offer features everything from Belgian-style Framboise, resembling raspberry champagne, to the ultra-premium Special Reserve, which is more akin to espresso than beer. The owners are incredibly passionate and knowledgeable and always happy to talk, and the service is friendly and charming. The eating here is as tasty and as eye-opening as the drinking. The food menu isn't just matched to the beers, the beers are in the food - Apple Cider casserole, Wheat Beer pudding, and beer ice cream made daily. Beer ice cream? These guys aren't just brewers, they're magicians.
K. P.
Super friendly staff. Good variety of beers although none were quite hoppy enough for my taste. Great wings and chips if your hankering for some :) :)
M. M.
What a great treat. Beautiful beers, fantastic meals, and old fashioned service. The management should be proud of what a great thing they have there. I would highly recommend this to anyone who need a relaxing meal and beer.
C. M.
Great atmosphere with a decent selection of craft beer, good place to meet friends
I. P.
Great selection of beer. Fair prices. Amaretto sour was good.
A. M.
I think if you like beer, the redoak is a little slice of heaven. The selection of beers is certainly enviable. I'm always fascinated by the boards, six mini beers paired with cheese and meats. It's definitely not your average pub and a good space to spend a cold night, even if you aren't that into beer.
M. C.
Some great beers and a normal pub menu. Really enjoyed my time here!
D. K.
Redoak has a good variety of local beers and ciders that they make themselves. Food is also good but portions are small. Have come here several times for after work drinks due to close proximity to my office.
L. L.
Once again, we had dinner here before going to the Genesian Theatre. As usual, the food, service and beers didn't disappoint. Will be back next year for more pre-Theatre dinners.
S. G.
We went with a group of 8 for their Beer Tasting evening (afternoon).
Had a great time - good food including some interesting tastes. And a different beer with every course.
Highly recommended if you enjoy a good beer.
B. D.
Good beer and really good food. After spending two weeks in east Asia I was very happy with my three quality sausages on mash potatoes. The side of what I think was cream cheese was a nice touch.
A. B.
Great atmosphere, very good service, good use of tech for convenience, lovely food (what was on offer was done very well), and the beer/cider quality is unsurpassed.
L. P.
Great vibe, excellent service staff, nice food. We had a great dinner, the fish tacos & pizza are very tasty. We will definitely come back.
B. W.
Fantastic service, fantastic food and best of all, fantastic range of beers. On multiple occasions the staff have gone out of their way to find a table and for us in somewhere. I would rate them 6 out of 5 if I could (though that would throw the rating system into choas so part of me is glad I can't).
R. V.
Had an awesome night here last Friday with a group of friends. Great food, awesome beer and fantastic service. Highly recommended
A. V.
I arrived late and was seated quickly. The rest of the table had ordered 20 minutes before I did and yet my meal (penne) came out on time with everyone elses.
The place is nice, and the food quality varies from (mostly) good to some very good selections, and the prices seem around the cheaper end for Sydney restaurants (but expensive by my standards).
The cheesecake is light and very delicious and I recommend that you get it if you go here.
C. X.
The best part about my experience at this bar was the bartender. On a night of bar hopping, we walked in off the street and the guy (I think his name was Callum?) immediately engaged us in conversation to help us pick ourselves a beer and introduce all the drinks they had available on tap.
It made for one of the better memories of the night and the beer was delicious!
R. M.
If you're after a bar to have a quiet one the Redoak is the place for it. The music is quiet enough for you to actually hear other people talk and it offers an amazing selection of very decent beer. Add to that the good food and service and you've got the perfect spot for an afternoon catch up, or an evening out with the mates.
N. R.
Quality burgers with delicious chips, expertly matched with a stellar brew.
D. A.
The beer is delicious and unique, however it is grotesquely overpriced. The outdoor area in front is great. Good place to go if you're a middle-aged-middle-manager who wants a drink after work.
R. M.
Beautiful beers, friendly staff. Try the "Twist and Stout", can't go wrong!
S. M.
Incredible experience, the venue and staff was lovely. My only complaint would be that they served their cheeseboard with more bread instead of crackers. Highly recommend this place to everyone!
F. S.
Had a few beers. They were not amazing. They were standard. Was expecting more for the price range. Service was fantastic tho
F. &. E.
Dang tasty beers and top quality service from nice knowledgeable staff, both the American and Australian pal ales are top shelf/tap brews
M. I.
Varieties of tasteful beers. Kind waitresses. Good atmosphere. Delicious food.
I went this place with my wife during our short trip to Sydney, and we really enjoyed this place.
M. G.
I have had every beer they offer.. some good, some great.. and when my friends travel internationally this is the spot they insist on going to every time. So many good times here
A. L.
Very decent selection of craft beers with a great menu to go with them.
M. R.
Went to one of their beer classes, lovely friendly host, very informative with a nice range of beer and food

RedOak's biggest strength is the special selection of brews that aren't available anywhere else - its good on that front. The beers are priced about right (but on the pricey side). The food ain't bad either. Decor is okay.
S. K.
The best micro brewery in Sydney. The food is also good with bar and restaurant options. Recommend the English Bitter with pizza and a side of chips.
N. S.
Great vibe, great team and a great local in the city.
P. J.
Awesome boutique brewery, nice beers, friendly staff, good atmosphere.
A. K.
Great selection of locally brewed and international beers. Good service and a nice relaxing bar. Very Euro feel about the place.
A. D.
So much good food in Sydney. Why bother? I don't need four chicken thighs on a bun. Reduce the quantity and up the quality.
D. C.
Best food and beer combination I have had on Australia. Beer is exquisite and food is to die for. If you like the Belgian Beer Cafe you have to get to this place.
I. H.
Get a paddle! It the best way to enjoy the beers on offer. Good staff, comfortable decor which is very much like a Belgian beer cafe.
N. M.
In a nutshell: A solid pub with solid beer and bar snacks. The nachos are a bit fancy, but the mince/beans with them are extremely tasty and the pizza and wedges are spot on.
B. C.
Great array of beer selection. Hit up the paddle if you want to try a bit of everything. I love to sit outside and people watch.
D. S.

E. C.
Had a great time. There were some great beers on, the saison was exceptional. Had a pie, I loves me a pie and this was pretty damn good!
B. H.
Pretty slow service on a weekday, even though the restaurant was only half full.
We waited a good 45 minutes for our food, which is unmanageable on a work lunch.
Prices were reasonable, staff were friendly, but the kitchen let this place down :(
A. K.
