Food was nice. Sniztel was very juicy!!!! Better than others I have tried. Pizza was nice. The tomatoe sauce or paste was fresh the next day too. Staff were nice.

Sensational parmigiana. I had this a few months ago before lockdown and vowed to bring my partner to try it as she loves parmys and is very picky. We traveled all the way from Castle Hill to have this again. Absolutely the best tasting, generous serving and sides done to perfection.

Good solid pub with lovely cold beer, only thing that can irk a thirsty traveller is that if the place is even half full it can take a while to get your drinks, and I mean a while. Getting the kitchen back to 2017 levels would greatly enhance the experience as well. Easy to fix.

The trout is very good although the portion is a bit small. The other main dishes were quite big though. Lots of options for the drinks, both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Friendly and fast service.

We had the Juicy Lucy Snack Pack and the Grilled Chicken Burger. Very generous servings but pretty average. Grilled chicken tenders were dry. Not even slaw and buns were wayyy to big. Highlight were there crispy crinkle cut fries. Fluffy on the inside. The snack pack was 70% fries but the chicken bits were tender and juicy! Overload on sauce, would prefer on the side cause chips got soggy really quickly. Also the default for snack pack is served in a box, would prefer a more eco option if you are dining in!

Great pub! Really good food, dog friendly (they even have doggie treats behind the bar!) and really good customer service! The guys who work there seem so pleased to be there, which is so good to see! Would recommend booking in advance as they were a full house in the dog friendly area. There's pool, a separate smoking section away from the food, TVs so equipped to show sports and big events. Definitely visit again 🤘

Dropped in for a few beers with mates, they have beers in jugs so you save a bit of coin. You can bring your fury friend with you the staff are super super friendly was so impressed when they brought over a bowl of water for the dog. Didn't get a chance to try the food, but the menu had a great variety and they have just bought back Karaoke. Good local with a variety of beers and food with is pooch friendly.

It's a pub. It's a Uni pub. People go there for work lunches and after work, and like most pubs like this. It's reasonably maintained for an older pub like this (traditional Sydney hotel), had the usual tap beer, drinks and pub grub options. We got there late for lunch, had to wait way too long for a couple of hamburgers, and their usual pizzas weren't an option. If you know the 'Rege' you don't need my opinion, otherwise it is average.

Really happy to have found a great local since moving to the area recently. Great pub, fun trivia, great food, great pool tables, great specials and amazing that it’s dog friendly. Would give a 5 stars but the last few times I’ve been the security seems a little confused, not the kind of figure who blends in and shows presence when needed, tries to make himself known but instead made my group and those around noticeably feel awkward and then after being there for 5 hours, played trivia, having him talk to us while we played pool and try to have a laugh for a good 5 minutes, on our way out, aggressively asked for ID... I’m not sure if he forgot who we were out of the 40 people in the venue but he wasn’t having any of it and stood with us while our friend used the bathroom before watching us leave. I’ve managed bars myself for the last 5 years, in the industry 9, and these guys run a fantastic venue which they should be very proud of , and I know these things happen sometimes, especially in late opener pubs, but happening more than once in the last fortnight made me need to make it known. Will definitely be back, love the Rege.

Pizzas are great, plenty of drink options, and Thursday night karaoke is a great way to let loose after a busy week at uni. Monday night trivia is also a good time. Very friendly staff, a good bar for students and non-students alike.

The Regent Hotel is a fantastic pub with several great meal and snack options, and a plethora of drinks on offer at the bar. The vibe is nice, not too cozied up, but also not too loud, and the outdoor sections can be a good spot to meet up with big groups. All-round a good spot.

Has changed alot over time, can't be easy during these difficult times, had a slight issue ordering food at the bar, and which bar, eventually finding the right bar was told my order could not be processed, a speedy staff member approached me as I was walking away and said she over heard and it would be no trouble to process my order, I believe her name was Fran, as security advised. Great food and friendly staff but was unhappy about how they make it a default 5% tip when ordering food or beverages through the mobile phone QR code that links you to the menu to order. It seems very sneaky to take others money if they didn’t realise it...

The Regent used to be a fantastic bar that was backboned by a quality bistro service. However, ever since their takeover the food menu is incredibly disappointing and seems a massive step backwards. I came down on a Wednesday to get the usual burger deal, which as a Vegetarian was great as the Regent had an awesome Halloumi and Eggplant burger that was well priced and tasted great (better with avo according to the staff). Having been away for a month, I hadn't realised that the menu is now run by Juicy Lucy, which has removed close to all Vege options in favour for what is a menu catering to an obvious move into the delivery food market. There seems to be every variant of fried chicken on the menu including two fried chicken burgers whilst the vegetarian one has been removed. Similarly, the Vegetarian (and meat) nachos are also gone, along with other pub grub staples, whilst the only vegie options are a wrap, a couple salads and margherita pizza. And no sweet potato fries?? Even my non vege family were so aloof by the new menu that we ended up just having a beer and eating at home. I fear that the move to this type of menu was to drive business on delivery services such as Uber Eats and Menulog (Juicy Lucy at the Regent is now advertised on Eats) especially as the Korean style fried chicken and burgers appear a very marketable option on these platforms. Its especially saddening as I thought pubs would be the last place to be affected, given that their staple has always been that dine-in, homestyle pub grub with a drink. Ultimately, I can't see myself coming in anytime soon. Luckily the staff were as friendly as ever, and dogs are still welcome.

Your basic local pub if you life in the eastern suburbs. Alcohol is reasonably priced, they have some cocktails and have specials quite often. I mostly go on the weekends and it not really suitable to eat there as it gets quite loud and busy, but they are probably ok during the week.

Regent or The REGE is the go to place for anyone studying in UNSW, anyone who enjoys a good cold beer after your class late night. The vibe here is very college like, you'll see bunch of people playing pool, or in the casino area with its daily events and weekly activities, its a really good place to chill at, friendly staff and good vibes.
