Service was pretty solid, and the food was not bad either. The experience reflected likely a need for a more passion for the experience of the hotel on behalf of the establishment itself, probably solved through treating what seemed like stagnated and uninterested employees a bit better. The choice to not serve cocktails after 10pm on a Friday night seemed like a strange decision, however this may be more a reflection of the law than the establishment. Overall however, a solid experience, reasonably to slightly highly priced, and a nice atmosphere on the weekends.

Rooftop Bar is where my daughters 21st Birthday Party was held. It was Amazing Cocktail Party with finger food that was filling and delicious!! 150 Pacific islanders quests so if we were full, you will be too!! Trying to convince my second daughter to have her 21st party at Shellbourne . Carpark next door which made it easy too.

We visited "The Rooftop Sydney" last night the new addition to the Shelbourne Hotel and what a treat it was! Great views,stylish outdoor decor and a great beer and wine list. Renata the lovely hostess behind the bar had excellent wine knowledge and she helped us with some of our choices as well as supplying us with some chilled water for the table. Views here are back over Darling Harbour and the venue has a retractable roof if the weather does get inclement however last night the stars were out . We could just see the fireworks going off at 8.15pm from Darling Harbour as an added attraction on the night. There is a good selection of shared Bar food-we had some warm Olives and the Chorizo. So glad we found this fresh new venue,,,we will be back!

We recently had an event here. It has a room for booking a private function. It's clean and decently decorated. Staff were amazing too. Brews and food were good. However, the service can be slow and food portions were a bit small.

The lighting is bad. Either very dark! Or inside the lights they have are hanging just above the table like you are in a spotlight blinding you with so much heat you are sweating. Wait ages for drinks on Friday night. Not enough drink serving staff.

Would definitely recommend Shelbourne Hotel for anyone needing a great venue and excellent hospitality! We hired LinQ Bar for the night with over 100 guests. The floor is spacious and has tables and chairs neatly dispersed. It is also well-lit and the ambience is perfect for any event! The staff were very accommodating, especially the manager Paul who went above and beyond in helping us with our concerns. The event manager Kelli was also a pleasure to liaise with. Looking forward to hosting our next event with Shelbourne!

I visited this hotel for a function (a birthday party). The hotel has multiple floors with the bar situated on the upper floor. The top floor can be hired which we did. There were finger foods being served through the night and the food was excellent. The bar tap can also be hired and the drinks were OK. It is conveniently situated near Town Hall which makes it great for events. Overall, the hotel delivered a great experience from their service. Good location is a plus.

Just had my joint 21st here at the Linq bar! They were incredible! Beautiful venue, all the staff were fabulous and constantly helpful and there were so many options for little extras and such to make the event even more special! Their photographer that we hired with the venue, Celio, was amazing and really helped make our night super special. It's really reasonably priced and the food was amazing!

Came on a Wednesday night and had the aperitivo special which came with two aperitivo and antipasto platter. Pretty good value. And the drinks were not watered down.

All my guests mentioned the amazing food so I am so glad you recommended the slightly more expensive canapes it definitely paid off. The lollies buffet and “30” light set up was awesome, got some really good photos in front of it and was a very nice surprise – thank you for arranging that for me! I had my 21st birthday at the Shelbourne Hotel (The Linq Bar - private function room upstairs). The venue is amazing and is very well managed! All of the staff were incredible and very professional (especially Chris). I received such positive feedback from everyone who attended the event, and did not receive one complaint. The whole night ran smoothly and the canapés were fantastic! The events team were very efficient (especially Kelli) who helped coordinate my event prior. A nicer pub now that it's been freshly renovated! A refreshing change from the old dive it used to be. A refreshed menu and a new kitchen features some great items, I'd recommend any of the pizzas for a nice bar snack. Full range of standard beers and a couple craft ales.

Had a company event here. Staff member that sat us down was quite unpleasant, but waiters and bartenders were great. Chicken schnitzel was great. Team members had the salmon complained about the portion size, so if you are hungry, I'd steer towards the chicken.

Great inner city pub! Good food, great open courtyard and nice modern fit out inside. Good spot to meet up after work with the girls for week night drinks. Not sure that I should share this tip with Google but there always seems to be plenty of good looking men at this bar (wink wink) but it’s not over run with sports and beer which we love. Maybe it has something to do with the Fitness First across the road?? Don’t know, but no complaints here.

We had an industry function in the LinQ Bar. The staff could not have been more helpful in the lead up to the event - from answering all my questions to being available when I wnated to do a run through of the night. The food was great and there was more than enough of it. On the night, there were plenty of staff to refer to when we were setting up. The room was a good size for our group (apporx 100 people) and out look from the servery windows was beautiful. It is easy to get to - plenty of parking in the Wilson carpark attached to the venue or town hall station is a short. Or there is a taxi stand directly across the road. easy access to Darling Harbour as well.

Not too bad. It's a pub in a convenient place, and has pretty standard fare. The function room upstairs is room enough for 30 or so people, and their canapes were quite good. The cider (I don't remember what they had) on tap wasn't half bad, either. A bit on the sour side, but hey, it's cider, right?

Oxfam had their thank you party at the rooftop area. The canapes served were really nice, especially the mushroom arancini balls. Such a pity they over salted the calamari. A good chef should ALWAYS put on less, so a customer can, if they wish, add more. It's too difficult to remove a condiment, if it's over added to something.

The shelbourne is a great city pub, it offers cheap drinks after work and alright food. I would rate it higher but there's nothing outstanding about this drinking hole... It is just that. The main reason I visit is because I work just around the corner .... If you do too, it's worth a visit - just don't go out of your way :)

Really nice pub in the heart of the CBD. A nice outdoor beer garden that gets some sun during the day is a nice place for a meal or a drink. There are some weekly specials that are available and tend to change, best to check the menu on the day. TAB machine is available in side along with a VIP poker machine room. Have had the seafood platter for two and it was amazing!

While the venue is conveniently located and well equipped, it's usually far too crowded for my liking. Not really any fault of the establishment itself, but it is rather inconvenient not being able to turn around without elbowing somebody.

I went for a Kandys Saturday. drinks were reasonably priced with easy access to bar and staff at all times. staff were friendly and outdoor seating area was great. my issues were the crowd and dj. I was genuinely always being approached by males who would persist after making it more than clear that I was not interested and it was absolutely non stop and very uncomfortable for myself and all my friends (not trying to be arrogant. was just moving my feet to the music and would turn around to have a guy hanging off my trying to touch me. nonono) the actually dj was fine but those supporting were very unprofessional and on the search for girls also. the man playing the drums and then dressed in the mario costume, just sleazy. it's a fun place for a dance but ladies if you are not out on the prowl, would not recommend.
