R. D.Great live band, good service, great range of on-tap wines, good range of on-tap beer, decent range of spirits. Good views, although on a rainy day it was cosy inside on the lounge with the band going. Good atmosphere.
The outdoor area was drenched unfortunately so we couldn't really go out there. Some solid roofing would have made it a perfect spot to sit in the fresh air.
Good facilities.
Meat raffle going when we were there.
I loved that they were environmentally conscious with their paper straws.
C. T.An easy drive to get to, and a nice spot by the river to enjoy a meal. Outdoor area looks right at the river and overall a nice atmosphere. Food was nice although there was an issue with one of our meals. Not a lot of space to park in their carpark.
S. N.Located directly opposite the river this pub is a great location to spend a sunny afternoon downing a few cold ones in the beer garden. There are also expansive indoor areas if the weather is less kind. Didn’t get a chance to try the food but the menu is typical pub fare. Well worth dropping in if you’re passing by.
P. B.Huge thumbs up to Shoahaven City Council for the remodeling of the river bank opposite Heads Hotel! So many times I'd driven past and trees blocked the view. Now it is excellent! 👀👍😀 Best view in town with great access to the river!
T. Y.Always a great spot to grab a beer and you can take your dog. Metres away from the water, brilliant views and service. Highly recommend stopping in.

D. C.Realy nice pub . Great views out the front. Friendly staff. Fantastic food. I had the salt and pepper squid and the t bone steak the next night. The steak was cooked perfectly by the chef unfortunately the meat was very grissley by the supplier. I stayed in the accommodation. It's simple and clean. With aircon tv bar fridge . The bed was two singles put together. One single was comfortable the other was not. In room one.
All facilities to make coffee unfortunately no milk in the fridge.⁸

M. W.Got there at 7:50pm after traveling all day and staying near by. Asked kitchen when they closed and was told 8pm. Ordered quickly (sorry kitchen staff). And food came out even quicker. Food was excellent quality even though we were clearly keeping them back. I will stay again, and I will eat here again. Plus it's 🐕 friendly! 5/5 paws!
D. C.It was a great place to stay. There was an issue that some blow ins that were blow hards.
But now SCOMO is gone again. I assume the issue SCOMO was hiding from is over now.
So come and stay it is a great spot.
J. N.Great! Best pub in Shoalhaven. Perfect location, beautiful views, great food and good selection at the bar, some live music on Sunday's. Staff fairly decent, nothing exceptional (yet to met anyone with any sense of personality or wants to atleast look like they enjoy their work). Only real suggestion is outside could do with some anti bug devices for those beautiful Alfreso evenings and not sure what the outside heating situation is like in winter. Your on the beach with amazing views, people want to be outside, encourage that. Either way, still highly recommend this place, few and far between nice beach bars/restaurants in the Shoalhaven.

It is not Gold Coast type flash but if you want peaceful beauty, good food, quiet and restful with good walks go no further.
A jewel of a place
R. M.Meal was average and half hour wait. Very loud band playing amidst diners - difficult to have conversation. Car park surface is loose gravel - a challenge for motorcycles.

C. B.Bar service is slow. I mean really slow. Restaurant informs you of the 1 hour wait time after you order. Very piss poor. The 2 extra stars i give is only because i liked the beer and the views were really nice.
J. J.On Nov 16-19th, 20 of our members / partners had an absolute blast in The Shoalhaven.
The houses and motel rooms were all fresh, bright and modern. The Heads Hotel lounges, fireplaces, café etc were great.
Our compliments to the chef!
took the free fat bikes for a ride down the beach - so fun! Free SUP boards are a top idea.
Many thanks to Col & Nick from The Heads Hotel for putting together a great wine tasting package for us. – Two Figs, Mountain Ridge & Coolangatta wineries were all fun and very different experiences.
All up, a great trip, great place and a great time had by all...

t. b.The reason this place has any bad reviews is the whingy whiny generation x'ers that have too used to dining in the 200 doller per head restaurants back where they normally live when they are not holidaying from years of boom times. The food is great and cheap and so is the beer. Needs a new younger crowd hopefully the next generation has enough money and doesn't whine as much
