Love this pub - always a winner. Nice food, reasonably priced beer, lovely crowd with a mix of young people and old timers. If you don’t like slightly grimy dark pubs with lots of character, don’t go here!

The men's toilets are absolutely vile, bordering on dangerous. They remind me of toilets in Nepal. Good friendly simple pub otherwise just don't use the toilet.

Nice old school pub. I wish they had better lagers on tap, sick of settling for fruity tasting microbrewery beers on tap. Glad they fixed the tap in the men’s, a couple of years back none of the guys could wash their hands after touching their junk.

This pub has character and something on every week. Amazing value for money on the daily food menu deals. Booze is well priced. Staff lives and breathes the place. Live music, rock n roll bingo, pool, courtyard... This should be what everyone's local pub is like. Anyone dissing it is too uptight to belong in this gem of a pub

Fun place to go to with friends or an easygoing date. Great selection of beers, pub-like standard food menu, friendly staff and sometimes live music! Nice interior at the superior levels, a pool downstairs, nearby the beer garden always packed with smokers, and eventually that smoke comes inside the venue. Funstaff: the restrooms 😂

The cricks is the perfect pub for a man like me; a westy stuck in the east. Graffiti, poor lighting, good beers, giant smoking area and some vintage pokies make me feel at home. Couldn't say a bad word about this place

We were doing a Surry Hills pub crawl when the Cricketers came into our consideration, unexpectedly as it were. Serendipity is the best description. Although not boasting the range of beers that some neighbourhood competitors offer, it holds its own in this regard, including a house kolsch which hits the mark. But it's the 'vibe' that sets this place apart. From a relaxed but welcoming team in the main bar, to the intimate courtyard out back, it feels like I'm returning to the womb. Any street artist with a modicum of self respect must check out the Men's facitiies.....seriously.....

Not the cleanest place but it is very old so they might not be able to renovate. Food is decent. Free pool all day. There's a small outdoor area with very limited seating but seems to be in the shade most of the day because it's so small. Bathrooms aren't nice
