Great destination pub for a day tripper. 14 of us came for a drive from the Gold Coast. It's an easy hour each way trip with a number of different routes. Weekends can be busy because of this, but they are a well-oiled machine and that kitchen can pump out the meals. Good food and reasonably priced. We'll do it again.

I had the chicken burger with jalapeño mayonnaise and it was absolutely amazing. Always good food and the other people on my table who had a seafood platter said the same. It was quick service only waiting about 20 minutes for my burger while we sat down and had some drinks. It’s a nice location right on the river to and always a great place to go 👍

It's been 2 years since we visited this pub. Food still good. Would advise to book a table for weekends or public holidays. Seemed short staffed had to wait 1 hour for our meals which we were advised when ordering. Good close parking and great river view.

Beautiful location on the river. Great food. Definitely one of my favourite places in the Tweed Valley to bring visiting friends for lunch or dinner. You won't regret eating here the meals are always delicious and the menu is excellent.

Friendly efficient staff and kitchen. I was told there was a 30minute delay on food when I ordered but it turned up in about 15 and the place was quite busy. The king prawn salad was average at best. 6 small kingies, or more like large schoolies that were ok as prawns go on top of a salad that had great potential with what was in it but it was drowned in a thickish dressing, almost mayonnaise that was quite acidic and the fork full of gloop that was supposed to be salad was not delicious because of the amount of dressing. More like 'mayonnaise with a side of salad'. The crispy skinned grilled barramundi was crisp, but it wasn't the skin, but the flesh side. Nicely cooked. The sweet potato chips were crisp on arrival so that was good. The mango salad accompanying the barramundi was tasty albeit quite sweet. Meals are a good size and prices ok.

I've been here twice now. Lovely Aussie country pub with plenty of outdoor seating and a play area for the kids. Food is very good and includes pub classics as well as other dishes and changing daily specials. Good kids meals, we liked that the chicken tenders came with some carrot and cucumber sticks on the side. We especially enjoyed the pork belly and prawn and avocado bake.

Came here coz Husk Distillery would serve us drinks but not food. The waitress from Husk recommended the place and described it as not fancy but good food. Absolutely made the right decision, the ribs and salmon was mouthwatering. We waited 40 minutes for the food coz it was so busy. But worth the wait.

Small portions at extortionate prices. As this is the only game in town, they can get away with over charging and under performing. $25 for 4 tiny bits of flathead, some chips and a very sad little salad. BE CAREFUL WITH CREAM AND EGG BASED SAUCES IN SUMMER. There is no air conditioning, so these go bad very quickly.

Wonderful old restored pub on the bank of the Tweed River (actually across the small road). Great place to sit and relax & watch the occasional riverboat or dolphins go by . Very friendly staff & has a good lunch with blackboard specials daily at reasonable prices & a separate bar . I suggest midweek for a quieter experience as gets very busy on weekends & a lot of motorcycle riders seem to find it a popular stop off point .

Love this place and the staff. But have to say that our meal today was very disappointing. Out of 4 people 2 of us had Bangers and mash with veg and gravey. The cauli and carrots and broccoli were not cooked and cold. The mash was cold. Being locals we didn't want to be a bother as they were busy. Which is great. But honestly it was very sad we couldn't eat half of our dinners.

Food is quite lovely, people all seem great and the area is beautiful. The downside is that the place is really showing it's age, and not in a good way. There's cobwebs everywhere, the bathrooms are less then ideal and the outside are is quite poor, especially the Avery which was once a family favourite. It's a shame the visuals don't match with the great vibe and food of the Tavern.

Forget Murwillumbah and come here! Had an awesome experience here for Sunday breakfast. Our soy coffees were delicious and the food was great for the price. You will get a great serving of breakfast food for $18 here and I highly recommend it. Not only was the food well priced, we were given money off for ordering vegan options! When does that ever happen? Removal of eggs and feta and they gave us a cheaper price for the meal. I wish more places did this. Will definitely come back thanks to the amazing staff, good food and great service.

We had a function here. The platters were very generous, a lot more than I expected for the price. There was no fee for room hire but we had a whole area dedicated to us. Overall the food was nice and the venue had plenty of space. The bar only took cash which is a bit annoying in these times. There was a large play area for the kids as well adjacent to the function area.

One of my favorite country pubs. It's in a scenic location with views of Mount Warning and the Tweed River. Sometimes you can see dolphins go past. The pub also pays tribute to the local history while serving cold beer and hearty food. The pub is open every day to travellers and it's also kid friendly.

Tumbulgum is such an idyllic location and Tumbulgum Tavern is a great place to eat. Their menu is extensive and varied and also very reasonably priced. The food is delicious, we have eaten here several times over the last year or so and the quality of food and service has always been fantastic.
