100% every time. I still remember my first trip to Amalfi with my family when I was six years old (29 years ago). I still remember how delicious the pizza tasted. We went often for a family dinner and it was incredible every time. I visited Thursday night with my partner for dinner as we are visiting Adelaide - it was my first time back to Amalfi in over 10 years. It is still 100%. Delicious food and genuinely friendly service. Amalfi, you lot are incredible. Keep doing what you’re doing.

Cozy restaurant along Frome to get your Italian fix. Portion is big for the mains, definitely get your moneys worth. The classic meatball pasta will bring you back to your childhood days. Huge meatballs and very saucey. The special amalfi pizza is also packed generously with toppings. What a delicious combo of flavours. There's also cheese powder on the table that you can add on top of your dish. Brings it all to a new height.

Our meals where excellent and as it got busier during the evening we weren't having to wait long for attention at our table. We came here with a group of 7 and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. You really felt like you were in a family home which had lots of character and vibe to it. We were able to get on the sharing menu (let them know ahead of time that you want this just so they can get ready for it) there was alot of food!! If you can't eat alot or had something for lunch that day, I would recommend you stick to a la carte. It is a full Italian style dinner with garlic bread, mussels, oysters, anti pasto, pizza, pasta, crumbed veal, potatoes, salad. The food was good kind of like homestyle you could taste the stock in the pasta, the marinade for the pickles, the seasoning in small things like the mushroom tart and the fritatta, the crispy base of the pizza. Is it the best Italian food in Adelaide? That's subjective, but was the most honest food in Adelaide? Yes!! What makes a good restaurant? The service. Theres an old saying "people come for the food and come back for the service" and myself, I would definitely go back!

The first time we were invited by our agent to dine here for lunch, and it was a way back in 2018. We had a wonderful lunch, but, we were too focus on our talk and discussion and less on foods. We recognized soon after our lunch that it was one of the best place to have had lunch. Their pizza, pasta and all the entrees were amazingly good. Now we are back to this restaurant again, and we also brought our kids. We want them to know what and how foods and good taste of food can rejoice their life with full of joy and wonderful moments to cherish them life long good health. We got Ragu Pasta, Caprissioca pizza, and few others from their menu. Their staffs were super fine, and prepared food especially paying attention to peanuts and nut free. Note - please make sure that you tell the chefs clearly if your kids and anyone have allergic to any foods. Ragu pasta sauce was amazingly thick, meat were tender and very easy to eat. We are Japanese, small stomach, so the main course was good for 2 people to share. Caprissioca pizza was very good with lots of mushrooms, cheese, salami and olives. We had a wonderful time, and enjoy our foods fully.

Followed the google reviews to this lovely restaruant. Obviously a busy night however the staff offered us a table which we had to leave after an hour. As we were after a quick meal this suited us and ordered the garlic bread, Hawaiian and margherita. It seems best to book if you want longer here. The staff were attentive and lovely, they did not have our drinks in stock however offered an alternative. If you want delicous pizza then this is the place to be.

A few of the staff seemed frustrated when we simply asked to get some food to takeaway instead (they may have just been really busy and understaffed, but still made us feel every request was a huge hassle). This is definitely a great restaurant to book into. The food, the staff, the atmosphere and the prices are all what you want. It's a popular spot and always busy but the service is fast. The kitchen is open and the vibe is like a big Italian family feast with a room full of people you know. We loved the noisy chatter and the cheery scene when we walked in. It's great for small groups or couples but it is quite loud so a bit hard for intimacy! Our group had pizza and pasta, both were great. The pizza are not huge but enough for one. The pasta is generous even in entree size. Book in, you won't regret it!

Have been going to this restaurant for more than 20 years and have never been disappointed. You can’t go wrong with any of the pastas, pizzas or veal and fish dishes. Garlic bread is really special. Can be noisy inside with the theatre of people enjoying food and open kitchen, so not ideal for people poor of hearing. Sitting outside on a warm day/ evening or getting takeaway allows you to enjoy their food if this is an issue!

This is definitely the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to around Australia!! It got a very high quality and the most delicious pasta I have ever tasted. The most important thing is that it served with a lot of different kind of tasty and fresh seafood ingredients in just one dish of my seafood pasta! So it is definitely worth the price! Also, the pizza was also super mouthwatering and big! Overall, it made me and my friends super full and very satisfied!! For the bathroom, it also looks pretty clean and beautiful designed! Please keep it up ;) Therefore, I will absolutely highly recommend this restaurant to all of you and I will come back to eat there again for sure if I travel to Adelaide again in the future. Visited for dinner with 5 friends at the end of what would have been a very busy month of the Fringe. The food was fantastic and the portions were huge. With starters, entree sized pasta would have definitely been sufficient! Even better than the food, was the professional and extremely attentive service, despite being short staffed and almost at capacity. I also really like that the kitchen opens out onto the floor, so you can see everything that goes on behind the scenes. The restaurant is quite small and crowded which creates a great atmosphere, but it is quite noisy and busy.

It's true, Amalfi serves the best pizza. The base is thick, the sauce & cheese are plentiful, everything tastes fresh and not at all greasy or sickening. It's perfect! The restaurant itself is ridiculously noisy & the tables are super close together. The staff are amazing, very pleasant. Wasn't a fan of the tiramisu which is a shame seeing as how it was $8.50 per slice. But the pizza makes everything worth it.

We are from Melbourne and went to Adelaide to revisit some of the places while we lived there. We went to the Amalfi last night and ordered a prawn pizza and a seafood pasta. First of all, my husband was not served at all while waiting for me, not even a cup of water. Secondly, regarding the food, there were quite a lot seafood in the pasta, but he taste was average, compared to the pasta we had in Cucina. Pizza wise, it was more like an upgraded version of Domino’s. Still the toppings were fine, but the base could be much better. Generally speaking, I couldn’t see why this is the best pizza in Adelaide and also among the top 5 Italian restaurant. Quite disappointed.

Hearty Italian food served in a buzzing, boistrous surrounds.Their Pizza is wonderful, the pasta is great, their specials brilliant (local garfish look like small marlins as they are deboned and served intact!). Amazing home-style cooked pasta, highly recommend the Amalfi (the restaurant’s version of a carbonara) and Zingarella (a very Asian inspired pasta using honey butter sauce with broccoli and prawns). The style of pizzas are the overloaded type with about 3 centimeters of topping. We ordered a half and half pizza with the Amalfi Special on one half and the Spinaci on the other which according to the staff were the most popularly ordered pizzas. The pizza was good, the crust was thick yet crisp, a very healthy serving of premium quality toppings but the pizza was very salty. Friendly waitstaff with helpful suggestions on what to order.

Best Italian food I know, and not a thing on the menu that isn't worth trying... standouts for me have been any of the pizzas (amalfi special), the garlic bread, the scallopine amalfi (veal with a mushroom and pancetta sauce), any of the pastas (ragu or zingarella), the barramundi, and the way they cook spinach is on point! Cotelette is like a serve of mini, melt in your mouth schnitzels (good for adults and kids). The antipasto plate is authentic, and looks like something you would get in Italy. Buzzing atmosphere with open kitchen, Italian style bar (and beverages to match - a great beer (including italian beers), wine and alcohol free selection that the staff can fill you in on in detail. Good for families, dates, celebrations (can be a bit loud for those short of hearing though, which really adds to the ambience). Service is quick, warm and knowledgeable. We always book ahead to avoid missing out but some lucky ones seem to score a quick bite. Two steps to access restaurant which some people may need to plan ahead for, but they do takeaway and there are curb side tables too!

Called in on a whim, and glad we stopped. Its a true italian pizza (not the takeaway rubbish) and one large pizza and garlic bread kept two adults and two small children full and not wanting. Lovely service from our waitress on the night. It may seem a bit pricey, but compare it to other places in Adelaide vs the quality of the food served - you would struggle to do better in this end of town.
