The dessert was good but nothing to brag about. Very aesthetic presentation. Everything other from the ice cream was kind of room temperature which felt abit weird to eat (it was a very warm summer day). I came very early so it's was very relaxing and quiet, so an extra star for the nice relaxing atmosphere

The desserts look amazing. Lots of effort taken to present them perfectly. Unfortunately the moffle is tasteless really. It's beautiful and colourful but only tasted sugar. The desserts ordered by my friends also looked appealing and they enjoyed them. There are vegan/vegetarian options which is a plus.
Nice atmosphere, colourful and quirky. The savoury menu is limited but I guess most people go there for the treats. Prices were reasonable. Service was fairly quick.

This cake was delectable… and when I say that I mean it! We celebrated my cousins 30th and Chinese New Year all in one!
They nailed it with the decorations and theme! 🐯🧧🎊
The cake was under $100 and was the fluffiest, most tasteful cake I have ever had to date!
I highly recommend ordering from here!

Love love love! Totally in love with their desserts! Every single dessert is such an amazing art! Taste so good! And the service is so good! The waitress gave me some candies while waiting for the desserts! She is so nice! Do recommend!

A Cosy hidden gem in the city, found it last night with my friends and in loved with their desserts and atmosphere. Highly recommend and will go back again to try more of those yummy goodies! 🥰🥰🥰
I had their matcha latte and panna cotta, both my friend and I enjoyed. amazing! 🤤👍🏻
S. L.
The food is presented exceptionally, unfortunately thats the best part. I had the Cheesecake and whilst it looked aesthetically great, I found that all of the additional toppings added little to no extra flavour.
The service was a touch slow and the bathrooms cleanliness and amenities (Soap, Toilet Paper etc.) could use some attention.

Delicious Dessert dine in place🎂yummy!! Lovely dessert place in the Adelaide CBD but only one thing to keep in mind that You have to get for each person if you are dine-in as sharing is not an option at this place so do it take away in case your other friends don’t like sweet. Overall good place 👍🏻 ps. If you like apple crumble that you should try it here once as it is amazing!!
L.
A hidden gem for dessert in Adelaide!! Both taro and cheesecake dessert were amazing, not too sweet and not too dense. Prices are affordable for the size and quality they are serving! Would want to come back to try other things!

The 2021 Menu are so thoughtfully designed. I like how they ply around the taste and texture. The contrasts between them are so perfectly matched. Highly recommend the charcoal cheesecake and Ruby Puff (i personally think that the puff can either be more crunchy or puffier).
I have with Astonish for 5 years, but this new menu does give me more reason to come back:)
S. K.
Amazing dessert, best I have had in a long time. So many delicious items to choose from. Looking forward to going back soon.

Desserts are delicious🥰. Friendly and lovely service

Creative, instagramable desserts. Cosy vibe and playful space perfect for a relaxing time to catch up with friends and loved ones over heart warming sweets. 🥧🧁🍰🍩

Very nice ! Great spot for a late mocha and cake. Quirky, relaxed atmosphere and very tasty sweet treats. The cinnamon apple crumble was awesome .
G. A.
Excellent place. Will definitely come back. The hospitality, quality of the dessert ordered, taste, were all exceptional.

Gosh I’m full!
Many of these desserts have Asian flavors, matcha, taro, durian..
But there’s plenty of western flavors too.
We tried the taro cake and the salted caramel cheesecake.
The taro was light and fresh, and taro to the extreme, so be ready for that.
The cheesecake was intensely rich, and very caramel, with different textures, the crunchiness of the popcorn and the base, I really liked.
The portions will leave you more than satisfied.

The desserts that we ordered here were really good. We ordered the watermelon cheescake which was really yummy and my favourite. Hazelnut choc cake and apple crumble were also delishes dishes.

It's been a long time since we've been back to Astonish for desserts, and I've been itching to try out the new menu!
.
Pandan coconut sago wrap: with coconut crumbs, brown sugar jelly, taro coconut sauce, taro ice cream. This was a super creative dish with lots of different elements. I loved the taro ice cream and the brown sugar jelly. However, I couldn't really taste the Pandan very much. Still really delicious overall!
.
Iced taro latte: it was a bit on the sweet side, but the taro flavour was very strong, which we love! Very good!

I would have given a 3.5 star rating if I could! Food was okay, we only had desserts that time we went. My boyfriend ordered Devil's Chocolate Brownie Waffles and I had the Ruby Puff. The chocolate ganache that was drizzled on the waffles was out-of-this-world! However, the ice cream was too sweet and it's quite a rich dessert so we enjoyed the first few bites the most. The puff had a good crunch on the top layer (which was good) but it came with a hint of burnt taste. We loved the combination of lychee and chantilly in the puff, but the watermelon granita melted so quickly due to hot weather flooded the whole plate and caused the bottom of the puff to become soggy.
Service was good as the staff are friendly, and a quiet environment to have a chat with friends/family/lovers over some desserts.
C.
Really enjoyed the watermelon New York cheesecake. The cheesecake squares were really rich and creamy, and the watermelon granita was a refreshing complement that help to lighten some of that creaminess. The cheesecake base could have been more buttery.
The durian crepe cake was good too, the durian aroma was strong but not overpowering, and the crepe cake was light. I loved that it came with shortbread crumbles. Not a fan of popcorn on my desserts generally because they’re always soft and not fresh and I feel like they cheapen the dessert.
The butterfly pea tea was nice but was mostly Sprite I think hahah.
Overall good experience, the ingredients don’t taste like they’re Super high quality but it’s good enough and a cosy place to hang after dinner

This petite Patisserie Cafe is owned and runs by one of Le Cordon Bleu Chef Di Patissier. He has gone through his Culinary training up at NSW Le Cordon Bleu International College.
The decor of the Cafe is down on earth, casual and warmth. It is definitely a hangout for a Loner to have quiet environment or a small group to relax a quiet and chilled occasion.
The Culinary art from the Chef is definitely a classed act learnt from an International College of Culinary Art. The complexity of the combination of caramel sauce, nuts and popcorns used on the Duran Crepe Cake is Superb. Spot on. Not too sweet. Perfectly matching the current market. The Creme from the hot Cafe Latte and Matcha Latte is definitely heated up to the point right temperature. Amazing! Congrats! Keep up the good work! 👍

It was my first time for my team and I to visit Astonish Patisserie, very delighted to know the place and the desserts were extremely delicious. The chef over there was graduated from Le Cordon Bleu - so the foods are 5 stars from me.
M. W.
This little gem is a must visit for any dessert lover! A cosy house tucked away, you may not even notice. But when you walk in, the smell of baking and chocolate is in the air. Each room filled with little tables and chairs. Super friendly staff but the food! These desserts were more than delicious! So many levels of flavour in each one and so beautifully presented! So many options you will have to go back again! If you're a foody...or just a lover of dessert...it is a must visit. 1000/10

The newly renovated dessert palace with Delicious food! Very nice staff and good service! Highly recommend :)
L. B.
Great little desert spot, nice and cosy. Groupon have a great deal for couples at the moment. Be warned tho, the cocktails are non alcoholic and the menu is a little hard to read. However, it was a great night!
程.
Beautiful presentation and nice taste, my favourite dessert place in Adelaide ❤️❤️❤️
K. A.
I got the Ferrero Rocher waffle and it was great. The Belgian chocolate is on point and price wasn't bad at all. The cafe was quiet and comfortable when there's not many people inside, perfect for introverts :p
L. N.
Excellent service and a large selection of delicious desserts. Would recommend the creme brulee!!
D. S.
Amazing food, amazing staff and a cool, quirky, retro ambiance to the place. A lot of young couples on dates and uni students. Definitely try the new and creative desserts and the customised cakes for special occasions. The savoury dishes aren't as good as the deserts so I'd recommend it primarily as a dessert bar. A loyal and repeat customer for sure, I would go more often but the prices are slightly above average but overall can't speak highly enough about this place!
D. R.
Food is delicious and reasonably priced. The coffee is hot but a little on the expensive side.
D. T.
Staff were great and considering how well the desserts looked, they could of tasted slightly sweeter at times... keep up the great work
A. “. T.
Great dessert at a good price.
First of all, the presentation of the food is fantastic. Five dishes amongst five of us, all came out at the same time. Each dish was carefully constructed to appeal to visual senses. Taste did not disappoint, it matched the level of presentation with great taste. Out of all the great dishes we had, I'd recommend the apple crumble. Atmosphere is above average, but a few warmer visual touches could make the place feel a little home-ier.
J. A.
Love their durian crepe, so smooth and tasty!
D. N.
Desert is tasty and wee decoration
But price maybe a little bit expensive
G. F.

we have a good time

Wow would be my first word. Called in with the family for coffee and dessert 🍰. The menu has a assortment of unique deserts that I have not seen before. Every thing that came to our table was amazing and some deserts just to large to finish. At 10 pm on a Saturday night it was full of customers. The pricing was spot on with good value and service. Will go back for sure a big 👍 from me.
M. K.
I've been looking forward to going to Astonish for a long time. Their photos of their deserts on social media look delicious and I had high expectations. Unfortunately I was disappointed by the overall experience.
We were sat next to a window which had a broken pain of glass so all the bugs were coming in and the table had a puddle of sticky sauce left over from the last dinners. We ordered coffees and a "Long Time No See" (a shared plate with 5 deserts). When the coffees arrived there was no sugar on the able and we had to call the waitress back to ask for sugar. Then the desert arrived. The waitress gave us one plate, with two folks and one napkin. This was a shared platter of messy chocolate sauce. One paper napkin between two was going to be a struggle.
All five deserts were delicious and unique however the whole experience was let down by poor service and substandard surroundings. Going to a dessert cafe is a treat and should be a special experience. The food at Astonish is special however the whole experience doesn't live up to it's name.
F. M.
Massive selection of dessert foods and some good savoury options.
Restaurant was almost deserted!
Except for my party.
Prices were alright but the dinner menu was nothing special
Not enough to make me go back.
E. M.
Dropped in for some dessert for the first time. Love the decoration. The food was a bit of a hit and miss. Shared a tasting plate and some where quite ok, others a bit tasteless and some the taste was too overpowering. Pity really because we need some more good dessert places in Adelaide and it could be a great atmosphere with the decoration.
A. B.
Cute little place desserts. Plenty of seating. Fast service and food comes out quickly. Large serves, delicious sweets, insta worthy.
C. M.
So much choices. Love it
S. B.
Great atmosphere and food. I had the KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) burger. I wasn’t as hot as I would have liked but I do like spicy food. The price was really reasonable at only $10 with chips. Will come again.
S. L.
Very soft and tasty waffle. Well decorated walls. Hot chocolate is nice too.
S. M.
We bought a Groupon Voucher not realising that this place was a dessert bar but do have a couple of savoury dishes, our expectations were not high as we read the menu online and were going for dinner, well let me tell you what a little gem, the atmosphere was like going back in time to our teenage years when the only place you could get a late night feed was The Cave Coffee lounge at Glenelg, this place reminded us of those days. The food was not disappointing Chicken Popcorn was the best we have ever tasted, The french inspired ham, cheese and béchamel sauce sandwich was to die for and the sweets platter well just exquisite plate of the tastiest delights. To top it off we both received a cocktail and hubby had little creatures beer. What a wonderful place highly recommend.
H. S.
Affordable and yummy dessert, opens till late!
S. M.
Currently closed for redesign but when my goddaughter and I visited a few weeks ago we had The Chef's tasting pplate with a variety of popular desserts. Apple Crumble, Thousand Layer Crepe Cake
m. k.
This place is an absolute gem chilled laid back with the most amazing treats ORGASMIC they were not overly sweet, made it easy to eat everything without leaving a sick feeling in your tummy . I will definitely come back here next time I visit Adelaide this gem finished my last night in Adelaide with a Bang and it was great value for money. Thanks astonish for the popcorn takeaway.

Unique mixes of Asian and Eastern cuisine. The waffle burger was heavy, but the dragon fruit dessert was refreshing. The roasted pork bowl was good.
P. N.
Amazing desserts in a cosy setting. Must try if u love asian flavour desserts
L. T.
a bit pricey desserts (10$ or more) but literally can have dinner with those. very cozy place to have a good coffee & sweets.
Really like it
S. K.
Cosy warm atmosphere. Love the addition of books you can grab off the shelves and peruse through while waiting for your meal. Dessert was delicious and fresh. Service was good.
I. M.
One of my favourite places for desserts and friends gathering
M. F.
It's very cute and the food looks really nice, but everything I've ordered has been consistently average.
T. S.
The service is good and fast. Delicious delicious delicious dessert ❤️❤️❤️❤️
K. T.
Food is always good
Service is lacking, and temperature is always too warm inside the venue, even on cool days.
h. j.
The cheese cake spring roll was so delicious ~ with the black saseme ice cream on the side, perfect combination.
Good selection of dessert wine. 👍🏻👍🏻
J. A.
Dessert was definitely the highlight of the meal
r. s.
The food was amazing
T. D.
Finger licking good. Amazing desert which is not only visually astonishing but tastes out of this world. Will definitely be back for more.
M. S.
This is a small cafe/restaurant serving a fusion of asian and western hamburger style food. For example a korean chicken in a hambuger bun...or hamburger ingredients in a pork bun. Very tasty and varied menu.
J. W.
Bit of a wait, but was absolutely worth it! The desserts were unique, and delightfully delicious. :D
L. Y.
Great customer service. My friend and I didn't know what to order, we ask the waitress , and she recommended a few. Really love it.~
