4.5 stars. This place is great. Very friendly staff, they have high chairs and the food is great. Ritesh, our waiter, was great and he gave our toddler a free bowl of corn chips which was really nice. Really nice guacamole, delicious nachos, try it for yourself. The only thing I didn’t like was the sauce on the pork ribs as it was a bit tart and verging on a chutney flavour rather than a bbq sauce and the bowl the nachos were in was too small so most of the cheese was at the bottom. It’s a decent serve though. Also the enchilada was a little spicy for me. The place could use and tidy and clean but I would highly recommend the food and service, we had a great night!

Before going there, I never thought that this would a great place. We were welcomed upon arrival. They prepared a high chair for my child. Food was great and cocktails were amazing. Perhaps, a little bit of work need to be done for the interior design. Totally recommended a visit!

The ambience and staff were good. Food was good. We tried the fried burrito. It was a good twist, and according to our friends, it’s not offered in many Mexican restaurants. I think a bigger serving of the salsa to go with the fried burrito would be good. Otherwise, portion size is good. Thanks to the staff who patiently waited for us to finish. A good venue to catch up with friends and family.

Updating my comments for this place after 3 years! Review for vegetarians - Don't look anywhere else if Mexican is what you want. The best you could get in Adelaide, lots of space for groups and private dining, very accommodating and pleasant staff. Do book a table before going there due to Covid restrictions on numbers. Don't forget to try the chocolate nachos dessert (see the picture)... Something to die for 😀

Friendly and very helpful staff. Its a cozy warm space with a small fountain near the entrance and so many sombreros all over the place. Very pleased with the nachos, and tacos. The chicken enchilada was a bit salty. Big portions though. They also have ribs that looked huge, and delicious, we maybe go back just to try that too.

Cha Chi's Mexican Cuisine was a pleasant surprise. Upon entering the restaurant you're greeted by a lovely garden just inside the door which features a water fountain and a foot bridge to cross into the dining area. The food was delicious. Everything came out well cooked and within a reasonable time frame and staff were very attentive toward your needs. The pricing was very reasonable and some dishes were great value for money. For example: 'Cha Chi's Lite Combo' is deceptively dense with succulent food. Featuring a full sized burrito, largish taco and salad for only $21.90. The pulled pork sliders I had were very well cooked with fresh ingredients. A nice light meal. I would also recommend the 'Jalapeno Poppers' as a nice side dish or entree. Overall Cha Chi's provided a lovely night out and I will definitely be coming back again. It's the new favourite Mexican restaurant. I would recommend this establishment.

Staff seated us promptly even though we got there before they actually opened. The gentleman who courteously seated us was professional, showed us the menu and got us our drinks without haste. Our starter was brought out very quickly and it was delicious authentic Mexican salsa with chips and it was so yummy. Our main was brought out piping hot and it was utterly to die for! The portions were generous and the food tasted fantastic. The restaurant itself was stunning, the decor felt cosy and we will be back for sure!

Great place for Mexican fare - traditional dishes, great service, nice atmosphere. We’ve been coming here on a regular basis, and this is the only suggestion I have to make: the music is ALWAYS the same umpapah set on repeat ad nauseam. With so much variety available in Mexican music, it would be good to have some variety: Spotify offers much richer choices such as Gruperas and Mariachis and modern artists like Vicente & Alejandro Fernandez, Rocio Durcal, and a whole host of other singers. Please consider!

Can't believe we've lived so close to Cha Chi's for so long and never tried it! It's incredible! The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. Two of our group were gluten free and everything was done to cater for them (even when they accidentally ordered food containing gluten, the staff were amazing and so understanding). A wonderful experience, lovely decor, not too loud, and generous serves - we shared so we could taste a bit of everything! Will definitely be back soon!

My wife and I had dinner here on a Tuesday night. The meal was pleasant. Some dishes were quite tasty others a little bland. The Elota, char grilled corn was very tasty. The potato skins with chilli con carne was bland. The decor was dated but pleasant and cheerful. The restaurant was busy with the all you can eat crowd for $19.90. The all you can eat deal involves going to the counter and getting the server to prepare each taco or burrito. The pricing was a little high for Mexican. Service was good in spite of the crowd.

Food was excellent for the price (its excellent regardless but no one literally should not be complaining about the taste considering the price relative to other restaurants Mexican or not), staff were very very friendly, the place was very very clean. Muchos gracias amigos. A possible improvement in my opinion would be to move the nacho/taco/burrito stand so the workers and worker lady don’t have to carry heaps of stuff and also through the crowd in case an accident happens and the refill for food gets dropped. But thats probably been explored already maybe.

I love Cha Chi's but I recently ordered some enchiladas to be delivered. Not sure if it was the fact that it wasn't in the restaurant, but the food was not the same as it used to be. Still a yummy meal, but a tad dry. The flavours were yummy, but not quite...Mexican? For some reason, it tasted Indian?? Random. Hope the old recipes come back! I believe in you Cha Chi's - please bring back your old flavour.

Always beautiful food, drinks and attentive staff. We have been a few times previously and noticed this time the food came out in a staggered fashion....with one of us being served, then the others ten minutes later. Not great when one person's food grows cold while waiting for the rest of the table to be served. Otherwise a great place to eat!!

Good food, I've dined in and taken away and it was delicious both times. Service when we dined in was great, it was fairly quiet and so the service was amazing. great atmosphere very chic Mexican vibe going on. When I ordered some take away while standing at the counter, I watched Uber after Uber come to pick up a meal which was accepted only to be told they don't have time to cook it, cancelling the order after the driver came to pick it up which is just flat out poor form. They should have paused new orders rather than let them keep rolling in and cancelling after the fact. Would not like to be that person waiting for their food.

Good food, good desert, terrible service and inconsistent menus. If you struggle with spicy food, I do not recommend going here. As someone who doesn’t like spicy food, I chose the Cha Chi Lite Combo, with the mild taco, and was not given an option for heat level in the burrito, but the menu indicated it was not spicy. The taco was really nice and had almost no heat. I could not finish the burrito because it was way to spicy for me. The service was awful, for it being relatively quiet, it took quite a while for food to arrive. Soft drinks and a juice took 15 minutes to arrive. With a person who was looking for something bland and ordered fish and chips, the waitress immediately asked why and questioned why they didn’t order something blander. When the waitress brought my food to the table, she let the tortilla chips fall of the plate, and the taco almost fell off as well. When she cleared my plate, I was forced to explain why I didn’t finish my food, and promise to tell her next time that I don’t like heat. However, the rest of my table really enjoyed their food, and dessert was really nice. The other server was fantastic, but we didn’t see much of her.

We had the nachos, jalapeno poppers,vegetarian quesadilla,vegetarian chimichunga,the chicken burrito and a sangria. The good stuff - nachos, burrito, chimichunga. Really like the sangria. Didnt like the quesadilla. Too strong a taste of mushrooms. If you like things spicy do ask for the spicy sauces which they give in bottles on the side.

I've been here a few times now and the food has always been delicious! They have recently updated their menu and the dishes we got were amazing! My partner & I tried the Cha Chi's combo, the chilli con queso (cheesy dip), and the pollo en mole poblano. It was all fantastic! The flautas with the combo were to die for too. We went on a busy weeknight without a booking and we were worried that we might not get a table but the staff were very accommodating. They opened up the second dining room for us! The mexican music will get you in the mood! You won't be disappointed!

Cha-Chi's has been around forever, and the good quality/flavour of their food never changes. The decor is great (the new owners jazzed it up a bit), everything I've eaten tastes great, and the drinks and desserts are just different enough to be entertaining! Whenever we feel like Mexican, which is quite often, we head to Cha Chi's. I can't count how many times we've been there but for the past 7 years, since moving to Adelaide, I'd average about once every 2-3 months. The service has always been excellent and the food is spectacular (leaves Montezuma's out in the cold). My favourite dish is Chicken Cacahuate...Tender strips of chicken sautéed with a spicy peanut sauce served on a bed of lettuce in a crisp flour basket with rice & warm tortillas @ $22.90. My partner always has the Combo so he has a bit of this and a bit of that, also $22.90, which I consider very reasonable for a main meal. I highly recommend Cha Chi's...in fact, we're going there tonight and taking a friend :)
