Lovely, genuinely friendly waitress served us. Breakfast food was amazing, usually scrambled eggs isn’t very exciting but the way it was presented and the corn fritter underneath was a nice touch. Will definitely be coming back to try their lunch menu!
S. R.
I was ummming and ahhing and they convinced me to come in and gave us a taste test of their chicken and chorizo. Instantly we knew we needed to get one of their rolls. Get the combo bocadillo you won’t be disappointed!!!
D.
Always my go-to for Breakfast when I’m having a staycation around the central markets. I always enjoy the friendly and positive attitudes from staff, great breakfast menu with a touch of South American flavours!

Great atmosphere, didn't feel confined or overcrowded even though there were many guests inside. Friendly staff, great service, had tapas selection for dinner with my 2 teenage daughters and it was cooked really quickly, hardly waited at all. We really enjoyed the food. Staff were able to pack up our leftovers into takeaway containers as our eyes were bigger than our stomachs and we couldn't eat as much as we ordered. Overall, great place, will visit again, perhaps even for breakfast while making a trip to Central markets. Recommend that you give this place a go.

Went there on a Saturday night, this newly opened restaurant which serve Latin American food, definitely surprised me. I like their Menu which serve Latin I haven't tried before. You should try their Tapas Menu, which is slightly pricer but worth it. Their Main could be better but is acceptable. The steak we ordered, meant to be medium but came almost well done. That is just one small bit of my criticism. Their dessert are good. We had Lemon Cake, Guava Pie and Short Bread with Caramel filling, and they are all very nice. Waiting staff are friendly, quick & swift! Another cool thing is, they hired a singer performed live guitar & singing Latino music which was very enjoyable!! A big plus to that!! Overall, great food, great service and great entertainment 👍😊

Place ambience is nice amd staff was very attentive. Food flavor was decent but I did expect a little stronger flavor in it. Pork belly wasn't crispy for the arepa(unsure if it was meant to be like that or crispier) and a little cold when it came, but the presentation was unique. Paella was a good portion and can be shared between two people with another side dish to be filling. Chorizzo in the paella was really tasty but the chicken pieces came with the skin attached so it was quite an unpleasant texture to eat and look at.
Wine sangria was refreshing!

Amazing food and service. Definitely worth trying everything. Tapas were great, we got the tapas for 2 and had a variety of dishes. The meatballs alone were a stand out, variety of vegetables with a don of cheese in the middle. Possibly the best I’ve ever had. They have a range of sides and drinks including cocktails. Just need cushions on seats to invite you to stay that little bit longer. Will definitely back to try it all!!

For a few beers and some south American delights to start your night, Cumbria is a good option. The arepa with prawns was lovely especially when washed down with a couple of Colombian beers. Make sure you book a table because the place has some limitations in terms of space, being sat outside OR being next to the door which is perpetually opening and closing
F. A.
Don't let the size of this place let you think that it can't produce excellent portions and top cuisine. I had lunch with friends one who is celiac and we were well catered for by the friendly staff. Between us we had the GF bruschetta and mixed grill (for 2) which was ample. They also have a small but nice range of wines. I will be back.
J. C.
First time customers but definitely not last time customers. Went for dinner and ordered 4 plate tapas, had empandas, meat balls, pork ribs and the pick of the 4 was the coxinha they were awesome. The staff are great, very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our exprience and look forward to going back.

located at central markets in the city one, delicious meals definitely recommend to go and try this place out.
A. Y.
Nice place for breakfast/brunch. I recommend the Avo Loco which is a sourdough with smashed avocado and dukkah. Deliciosa!
M. S.
Delicious breakfast of poached eggs & bacon plus a corn fritters. Great service too
T. L.
Was ok. Tasty, but small portions and on the pricey side. Friendly waitress & food came out hot and fresh but friends meal came out when everyone was almost finished their meals. Seated in the market side was uncomfortable and too noisy to hold a conversation. Took forever & 3 attempts to sort out the account because of a 30% discount. Surely we werent the first group who booked on "The Fork"? Reason being because of a new menu? Guys attitude sorting the account kinda sucked. Overall disappointing which was a shame.
S. P.
We liked the empanadas nice fillings, but we were disappointed about the coxinhas the dough was little bit soft and not crunchy and the filling that I usually expect(chicken), didn't taste like chicken so can be better.
H. L.
Delicious dinner at @cumbiabarandkitchen! Really friendly service, with yummy food and drinks 👌.
.
Haloumi bruschetta: very tasty! Nicely grilled with a yummy topping 😋😋.
.
Coxinha: Brazilian dumpling with cream cheese, chicken and potato filling. Never had this one before, and it was really good! The filling was nice and not too rich.
.
Pork ribs: Such good pork ribs 🤤🤤🤤😍😍😍. They were so tender that the meat fell off the bone super easily. Very nice!
.
Arepa prawn: grilled king prawns with guacamole. Really tasty!! Really nicely done ✅.
.
Arepa belly: this one was slightly disappointing because the pork belly was not crunchy enough. The flavours were otherwise quite good, but the crackling was too much of an important part of the dish. I have had it before though, and it was always good, so it might have been an off day.
T. C.
We had a very nice late breakfast here. The South American Breakfast was very nice. It was also very pleasant to side in the shade outside enjoying the late morning breeze.
W. M.
Very Happy staff, willing to give out samples of the paella! The paella was very good also decided to get a cuban sandwich, and a beer for 19 bucks. Almost cant beat that, soooo full. The sandwich was really good, but talked to the owner and the bread is a major component of the sandwich, the bread is very hard to get. Hard to toast aussie italian style bread roll in the way a cuban needs to be done, but that being said no fault of them it was a really good sandwich anyway. The paella was very tasty with sausage and chicken. Will definitely come back here again when I am in the hood. Muy bueno!!!!
L. S.
I came here for dinner, because it was a special occasion, they only had the 5 course menu available. It was $65 pp I think that's pretty reasonable for the amount of food you get. Now the food was very filling but i just feel like there was too many acidic dishes. The first dish was yum it had a spice to it they contained 2 coxinhas which were filled with chicken and cream cheese and 2 empanadas. second was also good it was the halloumi bruschetta, i feel like it was very salty and vinegary at the same time which sort of balanced it. Third was the Brazilian wagyu beef balls served with spicy criolla sauce, i really enjoyed this dish the spice levels were perfect. Then 4th dish was the Peruvian Ceviche, Sa king fish cured in fresh citrus juice with herbs and plantain chips, now this was my least favourite dish, the chips were yum but i didnt like it when they absorbed the juices and the fish itself was also good but i could not eat that much as it was to acidic.
5th being dessert I enjoyed the most that guava pie was so delicious, it was very sweet but I love sweet. The other cake was a gluten free one, tasted good was moist but not my favourite.
Overall i did enjoy the food, atmosphere and customer service. I would love to come back to try different dishes.
C. J.
Staff were great advising us the amount we need to order so we don’t over do it. Yummy food , place was buzzing
A. C.
One of the best breakfast bowls I've been served in Adelaide. Wonderful! And, very comfortable setting just away from the busy bustle of the markets.
J. W.
We tried the three different empenadas: cheese, chorizo and beef and potato and they were all fantastic! The Cuban sandwich was also delicious. Unfortunately we were too full to try the churro donuts, but there's always a next time!
M. F. V. A.
The ceviche is just like I had back home,
So nice to taste a Pisco Sour also very close to the ones that we have,
I loved this place and for sure with my boyfriend we're coming back <3
J. C.
Delicious food, perfect coffee and excellent service! Corn bread and chorizo were so tasty!
M. B.
absolutely delicious, the staff we attentive but not over the top, the presentation of the Bar, Food and staff was impeccable
L. S.
Lovely staff and the portions were great, they Nicholas and the team were very accommodating to us at the markets :)
M. P.
Love the food, empanada & dumpling are so good. Their pork belly and the jus is super Umami. Great service and we will be back for some more! Thanks
S. F.
Nice flavours, and good service.Exceeded my expectations. Definitely worth a visit if you are open to try different cuisines.
V. L.
Great food with great customer service! Honestly love the presentation of their food from Cumbia Bar Kitchen and their staff members are a delight to have a conversation with.
I really enjoyed my Grilled Chicken and Arepa Belly!
Such a great little restaurant and I highly recommend you giving this place a taste!
Looking forward to my next dine in!
D. S.
Really enjoyed the pork belly on cornbread pancake for a quick and easy brunch. Was surprised just how good the pancake itself was as well! The churro donut was also nice and crisp while maintaining a soft and light texture inside which my friend really enjoyed!
B. S.
I was roaming through the market looking for something good and I came across this place. What a find! The menu is brilliant!! All the South American favourites. They also have beer and sangria. I haven't tried the coffee but knowing that one of the owners is Italian, the coffee must be great! ;)
Unfortunately I'm from the Gold Coast so I won't be coming back soon enough 😩
L.
Fast service and such generous servings. Highly recommend
J. S.
I've walked past this place a number of times. Today I decided to give it a try. The service was pleasant. With nice tunes playing in the back ground this place has a cool vibe. Chose the big breakfast which hit the spot. Will definitely be back to sample the dinner and drinks.
C. M.
Well I had the takeaway paella, from outside of the bar, inside central market. I was disappointed, but the portion was generous & the spicy sauce that was drizzled over it wasn't that spicy, it was mild, another disappointment.
M. C.
Right at the corner of the central market. Big portion and friendly service. The arepa pork belly I had was very delicious.
K. M.
Lovely staff, great food/drinks and good prices. Will definately be back. Forgot to take pictures of the food prior to eating...oops.
V. A.
As a south american, I am very impressed! Food is very authentic and delicious. Even the pisco sour was well done, and the ceviche made me feel like i was in the streets of Peru. 🤤(Photo is after eating) 🤤 Music, service and environment was great as well but the star was the food!
l. o.
Finally a place with true Colombian flavours!! The Ajiaco (Chicken & potato soup) is the best. All the food was excellent, super fresh and authentic. I’ll be back soon.
T. O.
Food is great, very tasty and comes out fast. However the seating at what basically amounts to a kids table and stools for 4 adults is bizarre. The sangria too is as weak as water and 90% ice, and barely gets you 4 glasses.
B. B. B.
The olivas were stuffed with a strong fish that I did not like very much.
L. V.
5 star for friendly service. The food was tasty. The pork tapas with plantain chips very yummy and reasonable sized for $15. The sangria not sweet. Cute to sit there on a sat evening with the patio heaters. Staff didn't appear to know exactly what they had available, hence 4 stars. Enjoyed the evening 💕
J. I. R.
I came today with my partner, We had the best experience, Food was amazing, serves were kind to explain the food and prices are very affordable . We will be back for sure!
A. C.
The portions are HUGE! We were looking for a restaurant that did BYO to be able to taste a premium wine bought in McLaren Vale and Cumbia turned out to be a perfect choice! Warm and friendly staff. Excellent cocktails. Gigantic tapas. Steak a little over-cooked and pressed to speed up cooking. I'll be back
M. M.
Great food, but the portion sizes left a lot to be desired. The customer service was really really good, and made the experience much better than it could have been. Pity I left still feeling a bit peckish given the amount spent
C. L.
Good food and good service. 3 star for the unhonoured deal. Ordered a special deal from the board and the waiter confirmed our order. Upon paying deal was dishonoured because we ordered one more drink. The owner said “ we couldn’t combine two deals”, we ended up getting no deals at all and paying the original price. It’d be nice to have that clarification at the very beginning.
N. N.
Absolutely delicious food today. The chilli crab and prawn linguine was amazing. Can't wait to come back and try other menu items.
N. H.
Awesome friendly service! Great menu with many options. Portion sizes are spot on, I'm happy to pay for fresh quality ingredients. Best Latin American food I have ever eaten. Will be my go to place, every time I go to the Central Market. Very clean and tidy. Warm welcoming environment. Food cooked with ❤.
L.
Service & food amazing, a great place to go. Paella was incredible. Will definitely be back 😊
D. N.
The special frozen strawberry daiquiri which was smooth and perfect ! Super delicious beverage to go with a warm meal. Loved the balance of strawberry and rum !
I had the chorizo arepa which was cooked perfectly :)
Great customer service which was both friendly and informative:)
T. B.
A really lovely little place. Very friendly staff, delicious food and fast service. Stools are a little uncomfortable and would prefer seats, however will definitely be going back again.
C. C.
First time going to a South American restaurant. The waiter was so helpful in explaining the menu first and the dishes were divine. Lots of yummy cocktails to choose from too. Cumbia has definitely set the bar high, can’t wait to bring more friends here🔥
G. R.
I love the fact there’s a Latin American restaurant in Adelaide! However, somewhat disappointed as I requested a Peruvian ceviche and got a sort of ceviche with tomato which I think was Mexican. I recommend reviewing that the dishes you guys offer are authentic. Besides that, all my best wishes for you.
D.
Cannot speak highly enough of Cumbia. We missed our reservation on a prepaid Groupon but the owner was very gracious and understanding, letting us rebook for another time. I took about 20 minutes to eat my breakfast as I wanted to savour how delicious it was! Lovely staff and a great ambience. Thank you and we'll be back again soon.
T. M.
Amazing! Awesome meals with tonnes of flavour. Venture out and get a Columbian beer. Friendliest staff with nothing but smiles! Tapas are medium serves but will fill you up! Don't get carried away and order too many! Worth the time and made my night!
K. S.
Loved being here. Food is all fabulous. We ordered lots of entree plates. All of them were large serves. Open kitchen. Staff were lovely. A special Thank you to Jackie. We will be back. So much on the menu!! 🙂
L. P.
Amazing food & drinks! Very passionate owner ensuring the best experience! Will be back
S. C.
Went here with a Groupon voucher. Got to share 3 tapas dishes with a glass of wine each. Great value and the food was brilliant. So tasty. Indulged a bit more with coffee and a slice of their Lemon, White Chocolate and Almond cake. Yum, so moist and delicious. All this topped off by great service. We will be back.
J. S.
I have frequently come here for a quick brunch before heading back and the cornbread is absolutely delicious, the coffee is never too hot or too frothy, you actually taste the coffee not milk or that burnt bean taste you usually find. 10/10 would come back. Yes it is pricy but it's worth every penny.
S. G.
Acoustics: 3 1/2 stars - reasonable, and you have options to eat in the market hall or outside on Grote St if it's too noisy inside.
I love this place. We had stopped in a few times for coffee, which they do very well, but our last visit was for a meal. Everything was excellent, and the waitress did a fantastic job managing some very confusing ordering from some at our table.
The only disappointment: no Club Colombia, a great beer.
J. C.
Genuine and friendly service..fantastic food rich in flavours. Good value for money. Must have the kingfish ceviche!! ..and the margaritas...and the pisco sour..and the caipirinha..we will be back and recommend..great experience. Even treated us to a shot of aguardiente on our way out. Wonderful people and happy independence day!
J. H.
Delicious across the board. I had the Mexicana-so good. Lima salad and Eggs Perico were great too. Even the coffee was up there. Friendly staff, pleasant setting (outside is a little noisy with the market and road right there but still ok). Definitely coming back.
S.
I just went for a drink but I definitely need to come back to eat!
M. J.
Amazing food. The chicken melted in my mouth and was full of flavour. Can't wait to come back again.
H.
Delicious food. Tapas servings are more like main course in size. Great table service. Wonderful ambience with a talented guitarist playing Latin tunes. Added this great spot to my favourites list.
R. G.
Been in Australia for 4 years and never felt transported back to home as I've been in Cumbia!
Best Latin American by far! Authentic tastes from the patatas bravas, to the ceviche and the paelha/sangria combo
Gastronomic heaven!!!
M. M.
Great food. I've been back several days in a row and always pick up a sneaky empanada when I'm t the markets.
The staff are so lovely as well, always have a beautiful smile for everyone.
c. f.
Lovely little spot right next to the Central Market. Engaging staff and yummy food. Not great for vegetarians but otherwise a lovely, relaxed spot with some tables outside.
C. W.
Absolutely amazing food and service, the staff is super friendly and the empanadas are to die for, I've had 7 while in Adelaide, plus my wife loved her Arepa Beef 💪😁 would definitely recommend :) EDIT AND the lovely lady on gave us complimentary churros as we left! These guys are amazing :)
H. S.
Brilliant! Loved the food, service and great vibe. Who needs to go overseas, its all here!
S. D. B.
We had the best food ever at Cumbia this evening. The Staff and management were so lovely & friendly. Great food & service. Will be back.
A. M.
Beef and chicken of the best quality. Great location. Excellent place for a special occasion. Staff is knowledgeable and ready to help you. Loved it today even more than previous visits. Kudos
H. Y. C.
good try latin american food
C. F.
This little South American restaurant is delightful. Located at the Central Market in the heart of Adelaide CBD, the place has a great environment and delicious food. The menu brings dishes and drinks from various parts of South America such as Brasil, Argentina and Chile. The staff is friendly and the drinks are delicious. It is also very easy to book a table online, although no one asked us about the reservation upon our arrival. From family lunch/dinner to a drink or coffee with friends this place is a must. Strongly recommend a visit.
b. n.
Superb taste of tapas style menu. Beautifully presented and the pork belly a must try. Hostess was very generous and made our night memorable. Will be back for more!
A. R.
Had the roasted pork belly with salsa and corn bread. Also tried the guava pies...food here is different and delicious. Definitely worth stopping by if you are in the Central Market.
J. C.
Absolutely delicious. Amazing staff and fantastic food, definitely make time to go.
D. H.
I cannot say enough that's good about this place. **Stunning** food, a good array of drinks, friendly staff... after one visit, this place became an instant favourite. Can't wait to go again.
I. F.
Great food. We had several different plates to share and everything was delicious. Staff was very polite and friendly. Definitely coming back. Good Columbian beer and Mojito Mocktel
G. M.
Great food, good service struggles due to the truck parking spot directly outside the restaurant, which apparently the council are doing something about. Despite the noise would still go back
D. S. G. B.
For an authentic South American casual dining experience, Cumbia is 'the place' in Adelaide. You could be forgiven for almost walking past this lovely restaurant given its location at the corner of the Central market on Grote Street. However, the friendly staff, led by Julieta and Salvatore, the food and drink, topped off with lovely salsa music in the background will ensure you have an enjoyable time.
F. G.
The flavours of the food were fantastic, the staff were friendly and helpful if advising about the menu. Convenient location as well
I. M. F. L.
A cosy place with delicious food kindly served. I loved it.
A. D.
Very cute space, soft live music that allows for conversation. Beautifuly presented, delicious and generous serves. Authentic flavours and great service. Will come back a million times!
Z. L.
We want to try pork roll as a short lunch while walking around Adelaide Central Market
The bread roll is not warm or hot. But put belly meat on it with some chili sauce, like hotdog.
Services is good and girl with sunny smile.
J. B.
Great coffee, food and service!
I. B.
AMAZING service, even better food ( if that's even possible) 😍😍🥰🥰
Pork belly was AMAZING, arepas were super tasty and the empanadas we had off the food cart were what drew us in. My little bro tried a drink on the recommendation of our server and loved it and my cocktail was equally good.
D.
Food was great but very expensive. The waitress was lovely and with great customer service. Who seems to be the Manager was pushy trying to get more customers.
G. M.
Great food including many gluten free options and very nice coffee. The staff are so friendly.
S. M.
Fantastic. Beautiful real food. Just divine. Service was friendly and everyone in the group agreed... we will dine here again!
D. A.
Wonderful Latin American food, some of the best coffee in Adelaide, and friendly service! Highly recommended.
N. T. W.
Great food, especially love the pork belly and corn bread at lunch, haloumi empanadas are delish.
W.
Excellent breakfast. Delicious corn bread! Thanks!
T. D.
I have been to Cumbia at least 4 times now ever since I googled South American restaurant and I stumbled on it.The food is unbelievably amazing because it is soooo delicious.I order different meals and I am never disappointed. This restaurant even inspired me and made me learn to make arepas at home.If someone has not yet been,YOU HAVE TO GO !You will not be dissapointed. Everyone there is so lovely and warm and I think it is a family business because you can feel the love and care all around, and you can tell because it transfers to the food. You have to try the arepa, pork belly ceviche, prawn skewers, the grilled chicken, the apple cheesecake and the churos, and many more dishes I have tried and been impressed with.It also will not be your last time to visit them,I promise you that. The food is too awesome that you have to go back for more.
J. E.
Columbian, Brazilian and more South American menu offerings. I didn't have time so just sampled a kaiparinia and enjoyed the drink - not the same as in Sao Paulo but pretty good.
Q. V.
We had such a lovely breakfast. Great flavours. Good coffee. Nice music. Fabulous staff.

B. W.
Had booked at table, but was unable to attend. However we had it delivered instead and was delicious. Will definitely go there again.
P. N.
Cosy friendly joint, nice tapa and nice columbian specific cocktails and enough other standard drinks to cater for most palates. Worth a visit.

(Translated) We have dined for the first time in this restaurant and the food has been excellent.
I recommend the paella along with the sangria. And I would also like to highlight the empanadillas and burritos.
We will be back for sure.
I have really enjoyed dinner!
Thank you! Thanks a lot
