Been wanting to dine at this place for ages and I finally did! And it didn't fail to disappoint. Amazing food, staff and ambience. Our favourite was definitely the Pumpkin hummus, an unexpected yet delicious twist to the original version. Will definitely be back!

Absolutely amazing! The service was great, the food was fantastic, the drinks were great. We spent an average for $85 per person with drinks and we were all so full! Probably would avoid the feed me option if you can as that’s $70 alone for food. But either way definitely worth the money!

A superb dining experience. A relaxed atmosphere with an open kitchen and friendly staff who all know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about. The $70 dinner menu is faultless and I would recommend anybody coming here for the first time to try it. A great selection of wines and stickies to have with dessert. Probably the best hummus I've ever had and everything you've read in the other reviews about the lamb shoulder is true. A new favourite restaurant in Adelaide - thanks guys.

We dined Wednesday evening for dinner here and was very impressed. Service was exceptional with the waitress talking us through the menu and pairing a lovely wine to go with the choices we had made. Seating was in a semi outdoor area with a tree growing in the middle of the room which was quite unique. The freshly baked focaccia was delicious a long with the other small plates we ordered. The scallops are a must! Great modern food in a great modern setting.

Great dishes which pair together fresh produce and interesting flavours, all in a tastefully decorated cosy interior (especially the back area!) Pleasantly surprised by the okra, and the lamb was so easy to come apart. 3 dishes between 3 was quite filling (the profile of the plates are quite rich!) ~ 40pp

Pretty fabulous, off radar yet welcoming place to be. The service was warm and the food came out so well paced that they've been super drilled into making you feel comfy. It's not a big venue and whilst the staff walk about in aprons and shorts, they've got their script sorted. Like many others, the pumpkin hummus is stuff I hope to recreate myself. Just let them feed you and tell them if there's something on the menu you're not fond of and they'll fix it. I only wish I had a bistro of this quality local to me, but as is most of Adelaide they only exist in the CBD.

Went for dinner with a family group of five. Place is nice, clean and tidy and comfortable. Service was great, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable...but the food.. oh my word!!!! It was one of the best restaurant meals I've ever had, Maybe the best. The pumpkin hommus ( yep, pumpkin hommus) is worth kidnapping the chef for. Thank you Herring Bone

Came here on Valentine's Day for which they went with a set menu only. Really impressed that there weren't any dishes using cheap proteins. Overall great dishes and really loved the lamb shoulder. Would highly recommend this place to others.

We have enjoyed the set/ chefs menu twice now and it has been delightful both rounds. The waiter took care to check what we ate the first time and made sure we got a different selection this time. Delicious food that packs an incredibly well balanced punch. Professional and polite staff. Great wine selection ( you can definitely depend on the staff to help choose the perfect wine) Herringbone is definitely topping the high quality Adelaide food scene.

A must book restaurant. Greeting was pleasant and efficient drinks before meal were enjoyable followed by a curated set menu including as mentioned lamb shanks to die for. Service friendly and prompt, vibes trendy but also warm, plenty of music and atmosphere. Highly recommended for either couples or groups. Lots of food options EG vegetarian, lactose, gluten intolerance. Good selection of wines and beverages. All together a very enjoyable evening, hosted by three great guys.

Herringbone we’re kind enough to accommodate a late booking on Saturday night for 25 people after another “reputable” restaurant cancelled my booking because they had double booked!! my wife and I eat out a lot and have dined at restaurants all over Australia and Europe... if the team here can maintain the current standard this will become one of the best places to dine In Adelaide, on the same level as peel street ,africola and Golden boy. We loved the refined dining experience in a very casual atmosphere. It’s the kind of place you can have a $150 bottle of wine along with a long lunch/dinner or have a beer and a couple small bites and not feel out of place.

Dined at this great restaurant for my 65th birthday celebration on 20 April, after noting the excellent reviews. It certainly lived up to the high standards of its reputation, with superb service and a very tasty menu. All meals are generally designed to share. The hummus and the chicken liver parfait were my favourites, both small plates but suitable for two. We ordered all three mains, which ended up too much food for 5 people. Gnocchi was the best, but all great. Hint - Unless you are a very big eater, order individual serves rather than the full menu option, with a maximum 1 small plate and one main per couple. It will be plenty, they are very generous servings. Best to go with a party of four or more, because you then can enjoy multiple dishes.
