Have been to the Islanders Tavern a few times for dinner and had a great experience each time but went for lunch over the long weekend and the view was wonderful. Was a gorgeous day, loved looking over the marina - even saw a seal putting on a show. The staff were super friendly and helpful at all times - they really went above and beyond. The menu is very extensive but we settled on pub classics which were delicious and generously sized as well as reasonably priced. There's a large grassed area next door and playground for the kids to enjoy. Would definitely recommend visiting!

Friday night dinner here and the place was pretty well packed. If you're dining here you have to try their cheesy garlic bread. Wow. Parmy was also well cooked with fresh salad and chips. Great view out the window, could easily settle in for longer.

A real great place to have a nice meal or a drink. You can overlook the Coorong and enjoy a cool breeze on most stinking hot days of the year. It also provides sheltered indoor dining for times when the weather is not as hot. We found the staff friendly and helpful.

The food was good, but I thought the menu was trying to cater for too many different tastes. I felt the food side of the Tavern would do better having a more condensed menu and focusing on a few 'signature' dishes; eg it is rare to find a good Schnitzel these days. The one I had was very ordinary and dry. They are a great meal when the meat is tender and fresh.

Just made my first visit to the Landing Tavern and I have to say it was a great experience. The staff were very friendly on walking in and recommended some of the day specials. The view from my table was lovely and made a nice atmosphere for my partner and myself. I ordered the beef cheeks special and it delivered, they were nice and tender, full of flavour and made me feel like I made the right choice served, the only gripe the board said served with mash and broccolini but they served it with mash and bock choy, the was tasty but would like to serve as advertised or be told of the change but overall it was a magnificent experience.

Delightful meals, great menu selection and wonderful staff. You are not going to leave here feeling hungry. The meals are also extremely ample and very tasty. The firecracker prawns are to die for, so long as you ask for them without tomato sauce (I hear only one of the chefs do this, so say no to Tomato Sauce). The ribs are excellent. I will certainly be returning to try some more of the menu🍲🍔🥗

We went to this Tavern today for lunch with the BMW club. The food was delicious, my dish of Thalassina pasta was excellent, all my favourite fish perfectly grilled & the pasta was al dente as it should be, perfect. What a beautiful place to have a meal or even just a nice relaxing drink. Staff were super lovely, the view was so pretty and we loved watching the boats, canoes and wildlife coming and going. We spent a few hours kayaking and was very hungry, the tavern offered a great selection of food, plus it happened to be Mexican day. We enjoyed the tacos and the stand off, really delicious. Just finished work in Adelaide in a busy Emergency Dept and the last thing I was going to do was cook when I got to our holiday home . We devoured 2 of their burgers and chips for take away. It was a generous size, juicy and full of flavour including fresh pineapple. We will be back !

Huge Potential Islanders Tavern is positioned in a beautiful spot overlooking the Hindmarsh Island Marina, there is a playground next to it with a nice big grassed hill and a balcony setting that is superb The food here has always been a bit hit and miss, they are giving it a crack though and need your support, make sure you provide them feedback to improve The seats are very hard and barebones, there is a huge need for more comfortable seating The coffee is poor, very watery and lacking crema, get the coffee right and you will keep them coming back for more The chips (hot chips) are very good here, consistently Salt and pepper squid is sensational, tender, soft and delicate, quite possibly the best ive had in a long time The tapas prawns are also absolutely superb and highly recommended There is a bunch of boarded menu items above the bar, the restaurateurs have angled towards a bit of Asian food here however it is a bit of a miss in my opinion, the korean chicken noodles are just a bunch of noodles with some chicken drowned in soy sauce, very bland, but filling nonetheless Lamb here has always been a fight, always been tough whenever we have had it, I really hope they get it right one day We will be back, I am keen to try the seafood paella on the above bar board, I think seafood here would be a great angle, they seem to do it well and there is not many places in Goolwa and the surrounds that do it well All in all a lovely place, support them and lets hope they continue to grow and evolve

Family friendly and inviting. The staff are kind and accommodating. The meals are generous and never failed to impress us. The garlic bread is so moreish we've been tempted to just have it alone for dinner!They make the best rare steak you'll find in this area. Kids' meals are huge yet quality i.e. the kids' fish and chips is made from proper Flake, not frozen cod. Overall subdued, warm and toasty and just plain lovely!

Have been here several times and always enjoyed it. However, it was rather concerning today to find there was only one young woman in charge of taking food orders, preparing drinks, delivering meals, answering the phone and taking payments - all the while maintaining a friendly and cheerful disposition. There were at least 30 customers in the restaurant, so rather a large burden for a single person to deal with.

This is a lovely pub with a country club feel with beautiful views across the water to Goolwa. There is a good range of food which is not too expensive and a large array of wines with many of them being South Australian grown. The dining area has indoor and outdoor seating to suit all weather conditions. Although it is not far from Goolwa you feel as though you have left the busy lifestyle behind and are in the country proper.

Good to have a quick cool drinks there but the meals are a bit expensive and its not kid friendly. There is not enough choices if you are vegetarian or food intolerant. Like myself I'm wheat intolerant & there is no chioces in their menu list. I always tske my own healthy snacks when I travel by car. Suggestion:Mixed Vege Strips (RAW) with healthy dips ,Fried Sweet Potato or Fried Eggplant with a healthy yoghurt dip or Soy Ice Cream with fresh Strawberries or Mixed fruit compote.
