Have to say, food was exceptionally prepared! This is my 3rd time dining in Italy and the first few times I wasn’t really a fan. This time around, my pork cutlet was cooked to perfection. Burrata & Garlic bread were divine. Service was on-point! Cocktails were superb too!

Compared to other authentic Napoletana style pizzas across Adelaide, I was very disappointed. I always start with a Margherita, as this highlights the quality of the ingredients and cooking method. It was over cooked and dry, lacked sufficient sugo, and had almost no basil at all. The other pizzas I tried were better, however I don’t understand how a restaurant can claim to be authentically Italian and include ham and pineapple on the menu.

We have been to countless Italian restaurant around the world... And Italy Cafe Ristorante was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!! The pizza was great, the carbonara as authentic as you can get and don't let me tell you about the Tiramisu and the wine... The Cherry on the cake was the service: fantastic... do yourself a favour and go there!

We had a booking here on a Friday night, was full inside (downstairs) and had a good atmosphere. The waiters who served us were all very polite and had a laugh with us and our pronunciation on some of the items. The food was nice but I thought it was a bit disappointing that they don't maka their own pasta... it's an Italian restaurant which mainly serves pizza and pasta so you works think they would focus on this. The drinks (wine, beer, softdrinks) are all from Italy which was a nice touch, but we dont know much about Italian red wine so we're at the mercy of the staff.

Great authentic Italian food. Been there a couple of times recently and it's as good as ever. Get in early for dinner during Fringe as it gets very busy after 6pm. If unsure, get a pizza!

Really good service and wine to choose from. We tried margarita pizza to start, then the Linguine Granchio and Saltimbocca veal for main. Cooked to perfection. Amazing flavour. Reasonable prices. We will be back! Thanks for a delicious meal.

This place is difficult to rate based on our recent experience. The service was lacking, we spent a good deal of our night waiting for servers to notice us and having to call them over to place orders. It was not particularly busy being a week night. When we could get attention servers were polite and friendly. One pasta dish came out and 20 minutes later the other 3 had still not come (2 more pasta and one pizza) which was apparently a failure of their ordering system and wifi. Not sure how one meal from an order gets sent but not the rest, if this is possible they clearly need a new system! At least the food was very nice when we eventually got it.

The restaurant was not what I would consider to be truly authentic Italian but Isabella the manager was great, she made our table laugh and provided great service throughout the evening. When we weren’t happy about the food she offered us a Calabrian shot of liquor on the house - If I had a restaurant I’d definitely steal her. Italy has so much potential to be great! The atmosphere is gorgeous.

Due to it being fringe season I expected it to be busy, the lady in green who greeted us at the door was very helpful and apologetic, the waitress in our section outside was super helpful and prompt with our order and the food was amazing! Thanks ITALY, can’t wait to come back for amazing service and food.

Was here on NYE and watched the manager get abused by a customer. The customer was yelling about splitting the bill (which I’m pretty sure it says you can’t do on the menu) and ruining the atmosphere for literally everyone else in the restaurant. If I was the manager I would have been in tears, especially after the customer made physical contact, but she and the other staff handled the situation incredibly well. Huge shout out to all the staff on a night that’s already hard enough.

Authentic Italian food with Italian waiters who are passionate about food and wine. Our Rosè was perfect with our Spaghetti Marinara Siciliana ($32 - prawns, calamari, cockles, mussels, anchovy, virgin olive oil, chilli, pepper) and Australian pizza (with pineapple). Highly recommend this restaurant.

Umm WOW I don't know what was better.. the food or the service! Some of the best Italian food I have ever had (and I've been to Milan!). The waiters were wonderful, super polite, welcoming, and showed great knowledge of the menu. The gnocchi was sublime, infallible, hit all the right spots. The pizza - authentic perfection full of flavour. Don't even get me started on the wine - beautiful, exquisite.. Also, espresso martinis so strong they could resurrect the dead, had me buzzing at midnight. I 100% recommend this place- everyone should experience this iconic Rundle St restaurant. The staff are truly... *chefs kiss*.. magnificent! Thanks Italy for having us <3

We had a 21st Birthday upstairs for 25 people with a banquet and 2 hours drinks package. I have to say the service was outstanding. Particularly our waiter, Sebastian who was amazing! They were very accommodating with regard to changing a few things to suit our needs. Food was great and choices of wines were fabulous!

I have had the pleasure of eating twice at Italy Cafe Ristorante, both meals being generous, delicious and of the best quality ingredients. The staff have been on both occasions attentive, respectful and friendly. The location is central and convenient for daytime trips to the city. It is now a favourite and preferred lunch spot for me. The decor is bright, clean and spacious and has the feel of the Adelaide we all love and the one I remember growing up here and having recently returned after 30 years. Love this place, feel like I'm totally at home with such amazing staff and always leave feeling nourished and content.

On a staycation today, I took a trip to Italy (metaphorically and physically) for a delicious lunch where I created my own mini degustation, paired with wine. Lovely place and warm service (very much appreciated). Arancino stuffed with peas and ragu (old school) & my mandatory Aperol Spritz. The most amazing bianco spaghetti marinara (really good!!!) paired with a sensational Prosecco. I want to take the red bowl home! Finished off with a tasty tiramisu (only losing points for making it to order, as the savoiardi biscuits were crunchy in places). Washed down with a beautiful and pretty moscato. Really delicious food…I’ll be back!

Italy used to be one of my go to restaurants, however I’ve noticed a change in staff and management lately, unfortunately for the worse. The waiter we had was really lovely, but the atmosphere has changed from what it used to be. Not a place I would continue to recommended to people.

Had a catch-up lunch with friends and food was good. I would have liked the breakfast menu to be offered all day but a lot of cafes seem to have breakfast menu until about 11 at the moment - that's a pity. Otherwise a pleasant experience.

It was so nice to see the former Scuzzi site again open for business so we decided to try it out. We both ordered the Ravioli di Carne Emilia Romagna described as "pasta pillows filled with beef and parmigiana, tomato sugo, sage." From the first bite it was evident they were using cheap pasta. It was like Latina fresh from the supermarket, not fresh made Italian pasta or from a place that supplies most of the good Italian restaurants in Adelaide. I'm far from a great cook but I could have made far better at home which is very disappointing. The price for this dish? $26! It was also quite strange that an initial request to have the ravioli but with the amatriciana sauce was refused by the kitchen on the basis that they can't put that sauce with that pasta?! Sure, the sauce might be pre-made but it shouldn't already have pasta in it? The wait staff were polite but a little overboard. Each of them picked up our respective wine glasses when there was still wine in them and we had to ask them to put them back down. Also one of my pet peeves: please don't take someone's plate away when someone else is still eating! It makes the other person feel that they have to rush. There were still plenty of tables.

Fantastic. Had the calamari and the Bucatini Amatriciana Laziano. Calamari came out, in a light but flavourful coating, with rocket and a gorgeous aioli. Superb. Then had the Bucatini amatriciana pasta. Very saucy, loved the pancetta as a kind of bacon bits
