Oysters were so fresh and tasty! I am not usually a cooked oyster fan but decided to try the rainbow menu since this place offers a lot of variation - was not disappointed. The dips are tasty and we love the zucchini fritters. The octopus was cooked to perfection! Very happy with our visit

Fresh made Oyster, nice service but the waiting time it's a bit too long, over all it's good.

Look, the food is always awesome here, but this time we felt a bit rushed and almost unwelcome. For starters we ordered some Oysters and the delicious Octopus, but then we were asked to order our mains at the same time as apparently it makes things easier for the kitchen. We were also told that we’d need to order at least one main each plus sides in order to have enough to eat. Having not really thought about mains yet, we just ordered chips and dips to supplement the starters, ate up and left. Now we’ve eaten here a few times before and love to have a relaxed meal, share our food and order as we go. You could say we’re taking up a table I suppose, but if I wanted fast food I’d go to Maccas.

Exceptional service by the lady on Friday night. Very accommodating to us being late for our booking. Kilpatrick and volcano oysters were the most delicious, went well with our sweet wine (yes sweet 😉)!

Best oysters I've ever had in my life. Freshly shucked and so fresh. We also had the grilled calamari and trio of dips which were equally amazing. Really friendly service as well. Will definitely be back here next time we're in Adelaide.

The restaurant is run by a family who have been in the Adelaide seafood business since 1965. They know what they are doing and they will make you feel very welcome! The menu selection is small but well considered, with each item perfected. Most importantly, the oysters are fresh and plump.

What a great little gem of a place. The oysters are absolutely magnificent and I’ve eaten a lot from many of the “best” places in Sydney. Thank you for the traditional Ouzo as well! I’ll never look back. We unassuming place in Chinatown but beautiful food. The service is excellent and very informative as well! The pricing is absolutely on point for the freshness and the way their seafood is cooked. Highly recommend the prawn skewers - they are so well grilled you could eat the entire prawn shell and all. Thank you.

I should’ve posted pics of the food but I couldn’t wait to eat it. I have never had Octopus like it. Cooked to perfection with the most beautiful flavours. Home made dips, oysters and yiros lamb were also incredible. Lovely staff who couldn’t do enough to help us.

The best place for Oysters in Adelaide (and potentially Australia!). Metro oyster bar are wholesalers as well as a seafood restaurant and bar, so they have the freshest supply of Oysters in Adelaide, and plenty of variety of food. Pair this with the friendly and funny staff, and you'll feel like you're part of the family, in this family run and owned business. Whenever I want a great dinner, and to have a good laugh, I come to the Metro oyster bar. Highly recommend this place

Was visiting from out of town so dont know if the locals are aware (possibly not because of patronage numbers on last summer Friday night of the year) BUT, WOW WOW WOW. 100% best oysters ive had ever had. They werent coffin bay this time because they were "still sporning" but the ones we were served (me and the wife put away 5 dozen) were absolutely amazing. Shucked to perfection the salt left in the brine was spot on. Refreshing, salty, creamy! We tried pretty much all the styles (up to 10) and couldnt fault any. Stand outs were natural (of course), mornay and the basil, but honestly all were amazing even the spicier ones. We ate oysters the next night at the Mayflower restaurant and they didnt come close. The octopus was another stand out. Softest Ive ever had. Couldn't recommend this place enough if you love oysters.

Loved everything in here. I reckon this is the best oyster bar in Adelaide. Food: ordered oyster natural and oyster with cream and spinach. Grilled octopus as well as glass of white wine. Everything was just perfect. Well flavoured, really fresh oysters. Service: nice and feel welcoming from all of staffs who work in there. Professional service and well look after for sure. Something tells me this is where the Greek business persons of Adelaide go for lunch! An absolute gem of a find. The oysters were fantastic, the Mediterranean being our favourite of the rainbow selection. Although small, the atmosphere was homely and full of satisfied chatter. We watched an older gentleman smiling as he shucked behind the counter and watched his happy customers. Great experience.
